從相片可見, 兩款主菜的配菜是一模一樣, 而在場所見, 基本上任何主菜的配菜都是這樣, 唯一分別就是不同菜式的「主角」, 再一次, 毫無誠意可言。


鴨胸色澤紅潤, 鴨味很濃, 肉質卻較堅韌; 反而燒牛肋肉沒有過韌的情況出現, 奈何調味過重。

原本是衝著甜魔大力推介的 Bomb Cake (酒味心太軟) 而來, 就算團購餐不包, 也打算單點的, 只可惜這個「名物」也隨著店方的轉變而消失了, 是「檸茶」感到最可惜和失望的地方。

新餐牌內, 甜品一欄只剩下 Apple Pie 和 Dessert of the Day 兩個選擇, 店員說其實只有 Apple Pie 一個選擇, 來到的又是甚麼? 「檸茶」真不敢相信眼前的東西就是 Apple Pie, 再詢問送甜品來的店員, 他才說這個是甚麼 Caramel 甚麼 Yogurt 的東西, 其實就是幾款不同口味的流質東西混在一起, 味道就如賣相般強差人意。

We reserved for brunch but when we arrived on Sunday morning the restaurant had plenty of available seating so you might not need a reservation unless you have a seating preference. We were at first seated at the nice bench but we asked to be relocated outside. There is plenty of seating out back with nice potted plants. The wait staff is very friendly at first but after they take your order you have to find them for anything else.

Unfortunately the food experience wasn't as nice as the environment. I ordered eggs benedict and it came out with the eggs fully cooked and hard. I sent it back and the dish returned with eggs that were only slightly less cooked and the insides were semi solid when I cut into them. Meanwhile the rest of the benedict was cold while the eggs were slightly warm.

The black truffle sauce with mushroom pasta was excellent. It was aromatic and tasted fantastic.

The steak was juicy and tender. The side dish did much to complement the meat.

The mushroom soup was also nice - rich with mushroom taste.

The dessert that came with the dinner special, however, could be skipped. It was a cold piece of cheese cake which tasted quite stale.

But overall, the food was excellent and both my friend and I were pleasantly surprised.

BTW, the food's also very reasonably priced - $500 for 2 people w/ a glass of wine.

My wife also had Eggs Benedict. Hers were with grilled mushrooms. She ate them with gusto and I could see her eyeing off my Eggs Benedict which I had not finished. Obviously I ate mine sharpish after that & was quite sated.

I think the Chef's touch of adding asparagus was brilliant! Not only was it tasty, it was visually extremely appealing.

My daughter had the Steak & eggs. This was also consumed with great flourish & the minute steak was cooked to perfection.

The atmosphere was very cosmopolitan & relaxed. It has stylish decor, comfortable seating, muted lighting & is themed with a blend of warm welcoming soft and vibrant colors. There is an outdoor terrace section which is roomy & exceptionally comfy!

For dinner, I had the Linguine alla vongole - it had a generous complement of perky clams, expertly timed noodles and perfectly peppery, chili-flecked seasoning. The quality of ingredients was above par & the menu is well-composed, with dishes to please both Asian and European patrons.

The Dessert of the Day was a colorful & flavorful Lemon Lovers' Sabayon Tart. And - WOW - that was perfection right there.
I have to say that this was one of the best Lemon Tarts I’ve ever tasted. The crumbly biscuitty crust makes a world of difference to plain sweet pastry. It was as tangy, sharp and mouth-puckery as I like it.

A must visit while in Happy Valley.

The apple crumble with vanilla ice cream was wonderful! It was pure ambrosia. I savored every mouthful!

The new Management of brown have created a divine menu. I congratulate brown on their mouth-watering success.

Firstly the egg, which I asked to be over-easy, was totally over cooked so it was crispy brown on the outside and the yolk was rock solid on the inside. The sausage was ok but very fatty, the baked beans were barely warm, the bacon was over fried (deep fried I believe) mostly burnt and very greasy, the 'ham' was like that processed ham in a square, fried in dirty oil (it had burnt fat bits all over it) and rolled up, see photo. Most disappointingly was the croissant which was a frozen squashed up thing like you get on a long distance flight on some cheap airline, actually it was exactly the same! The service was unfriendly, the music too loud, it's no wonder we were the only ones in the restaurant. Will never ever return.
