Hello, I am from Peru, grown up in Lima but I live in Hong Kong, I have been to this restaurant with a Peruvian friend that came to visit me and a friend from Hong Kong, and the food in this restaurant is ok, but is not really what Peruvian food really is >.< my friend and I were quite disappointed .... we ordered Ceviche, Causa rellena y Anticuchos,we also ordered Tacos, which are not really part of Peruvian food, but flavor wise they were good. However, none of these 3 previous dishes had peruvian flavors at all, for example the Causa rellena, contains yellow potato and not sweet potato.... really sorry to say this, but is the truth

Just went yesterday, party of 5 for the Restaurant week dinner package.Very impressive and exceeded my expectations after reading some other reviews before I came.The tuna ceviche was awesome but a little too small I thought.SQUID CAUSA was ok but I prefer the tuna cevicheWe had enough people to share between the lamb and the chicken skewers. We had enough people to share between the lamb and the chicken skewers. I think it was slightly overcooked and didn't get much of the lamb taste and it was chewier than usual. The chicken was succulent and tender- thumbs up!

最後甜點是Lucuma Delight, Lucuma是原產於南美洲北部的一種叫蛋黃果的植物,用它做成的雪糕味道很香!加上Chocolate Brownie(巧克力布朗尼)非常好吃!

朋友說想吃秘魯菜,據我所知Soho區有兩間,Chicha我已食過兩次,所以想試第二間,奈何原來已經結業卑利街除左有Chicha,仲有我喜愛既Steak Frites呢~Quinoa吃秘魯菜,當然少不了Superfood藜麥,這款Quinoa沙律,味道甜甜的,上面是炸蕃薯,同樣好吃!Mixto有Fried Squid, Shrimps, Scallops, Octopus等等,味道帶點酸酸的,挺開胃的Chicken Taco個人一向不太好Taco,所以沒吃這款是每次必點的Roasted Duck Rice,因為個人超喜歡食鴨這道菜有半隻鴨的份量,是比較重口味的一款菜,很合我口味!飯充滿著汁料非常入味,濕濕淋淋的簡直食到停不了口!吃厭了西餐,秘魯菜、地中海菜之類的都是一些好好既選擇!

最好吃而又最有秘魯風味的是甜品 Lucuma Sundae。Lucuma 是南美洲出產的一種果實,味道香甜,常用於製作甜點,而且營養豐富。加上南美式煉乳醬 Manjar Blanco、杏仁餅碎、焦糖脆脆等,有點甜膩卻是很豐盛的結尾。

賣相非常的美麗, 味道也是一樣的令人驚艷。底下黃色的是薯蓉, 沒有加入過多的牛油, 所以口感雖然細緻但未算很軟滑, 卻是很對我的口味。這種薯蓉是吃多少都不會膩的。上面就放了混好了蛋黃醬的角切吞拿魚, 彈牙而香甜, 很是新鮮。加上一小撮牛油果醬, 味道變得豐腴, 但牛油果怪如我就會表示再多一些牛油果醬味道更佳!

驚喜的是碟上那一條細細的黃線。未知材料是甚麼, 但味道帶辣, 令此道菜的味道活潑起來。水準好高的前菜。若把份量加大一點點, 以此作主菜我也是無異議的。

秘魯最具特色的料理就是Ceviche。基本做法是把生魚浸入檸檬汁醃製,加上帶檸檬酸的辣椒aji limo和白色大玉米Choclo。但Chicha 這裡更加入了帶子刺身和大蝦, 也放入了炸玉米粒, 變得更加豐富。味道上也來一個突破, 就是加入了柚子的味道, 鮮味更盛, 非常的開胃可口。

至於leche de Tigre, 直譯作老虎的奶。不知為甚麼要幫這一種醃汁改這樣一個名字? 明明顏色和口感都不似奶啊!

比起前菜, 主菜就顯得普通得多。這一份是牛柳飯, 以青紅椒的味道最為突出, 加上醬油製成的汁, 非常中式。食用的時候先把所有材料都拌勻, 個人覺得醬汁稍多, 濕濕的口感不太佳。雖然器皿用上了鑊狀的小瓷盤, 但自然, 是一點鑊氣都沒有。同樣的材料落入中式或港式的廚師手中一定會有更好的發揮吧。味道不過爾爾. 但賣相卻是可愛得不得了。

最後作結的是咖啡雪糕一杯。味道尚好不過那粒焦糖脆脆極為粘牙。

看到這裡大家可能都會有疑問, 這些都是秘魯菜嗎? 為什麼有那麼多中日原素在內呢。還要細數秘魯這一國家。它位於南美一帶,因氣候和地理環境甚佳, 魚產和農作物都很豐富及多元化。又因為接近歐洲, 又曾受西班牙統治, 食物都有歐洲色彩; 加上此國家不知怎地有不少中國及日本移民, 自然又會有其影子。最後就造就出一款別具一格的飲食文化。

秘魯人的口味極端,喜歡吃大辣、大酸或大甜的食物, 不過CHICHA所賣的已是調整過, 所以我們吃起來也不會不習慣。個人覺得CHICHA是很值得一試的, 下次可能來吃個晚餐, 多試幾款食物, 過一個充滿異國風情的晚上吧?

Aguadito de Pollo (Peruvian traditional rice soup with shredded chicken)

This was
weird and I couldn’t put my head around it. It tasted like Cilantro pesto soup
with cooked rice and shredded chicken. The soup was more like a broth rather than a
thick soup and nothing really mixed together.

Ceviche

I thought
Ceviche is raw fish ‘cooked’ in citrus. However this dish did not have the
slightest hint of citrus. It was more of a sashimi dish. The little bits on the
sides are actually corn kernels. Brown ones are dried kernels and the white
ones were Choclo, (Peruvian corn), they tasted quite starchy and bean- like.

Marisco Jugoso (Aji Amarollo sea urchin rice with sea bass, squid, prawns and scallop)

No sight
or taste of urchin, the seafood looked like that they had just been poached. As for
the rice, my companion thought it l tasted like Uncle Ben’s (precooked
flavoured rice). I personally thought Uncle Ben’s tasted better.

Pollo a la Brasa (Juzu marinated spilt chicken, aromatic rice and fiery Rocoto tomato)

chicken was tender. However, the gravy over it didn’t do anything. The rice was nice, but it basically tasted like rice cooked in the soup we had for starter.

Lucama Sundae (Mixed berries, honeycomb, espresso Manjar Blanco and amaretti crumbs)

dessert was ok, The ice cream was smooth and the toppings were good. Although I like the design of the spoon, I found it a bit hard to actually eat off it.

Portions were quite small, if I were to pay the usual price of around HK 200 per set, I wouldn’t be happy. We were left quite unsatisfied after the meal. One thing I do have to commend was the staff, they were very attentive and were happy to explain how the dishes were made. I have heard good things about this restaurants, but again most people came here for dinner (hence a la carte). I did look up some of the pictures on Openrice and have to say they looked much more appetizing. Yes, we were using Groupon, but the whole point of going on Groupon was to attract new customers and hopefully they will visit again.
