之前訂左枱,下午有個女仔打黎firm booking...態度幾好。到達餐廳,一枱客都無,好靜。唔知道系天氣問題定地區問題?因為之前經過尖沙咀分店都Full。餐廳都有一人套餐同二人套餐選擇。套餐唔太合適,所以散叫。之後職員推介白酒忌廉煮青口,佢話好多人食,之後就聽佢意見試下。首先講講龍蝦湯...味道唔太好。又淡又有輕微酸味...同其他餐廳對比,我印象龍蝦湯好似無酸味跟住到(職員推介)白酒忌廉煮青口--味道幾好,好香。 男朋友都話好味,本人都覺得幾好,如果可以再濃味少少就更加好。之前到安格斯肉眼&龍蝦汁帶子天使麵--安格斯肉眼口感味道都好👍龍蝦汁帶子天使麵個汁有少少淡唔夠濃味,帶子煎得好香,總括都幾好。

因好久不見及慶祝本小姐生日,所以有這次晚飯敍會到了西貢用晚膳其實餐廳門口都幾別致我們都挑選了set dinner,前菜,湯及甜品都一樣 , 只是main dishes 不同,我的朋友選擇了Risotto配比目魚,而我選擇了rib eyes steak.特別推介Risotto配比目魚Risotto是用白汁加洋蔥,香草,及蘑菇製成,食第一啖已經覺得好有意思,我知道我會再到此一遊,;而比目魚好可口,但多骨要小心.Rib eyes steak就不大驚喜,但是味道是可以接受

特別推介Risotto配比目魚
Risotto是用白汁加洋蔥,香草,及蘑菇製成,食第一啖已經覺得好有意思,我知道我會再到此一遊,;而比目魚好可口,但多骨要小心.

Rib eyes steak就不大驚喜,但是味道是可以接受

寫這篇食評是希望Okapi Cafe 能認真關注一下 餐廳個別員工的服務及待客態度。本人在6月17日下午2時過後的非繁忙時段在西貢 Okapi Cafe 用饍。在從我進餐廳的一刻便受到其中一位男員工的不專業的”款待”。我因見有一桌sofa seat 的客人剛好已埋單離座,便問迎接我的餐廳女員工是否可讓我坐。女員工望著當時負責執枱的男員工,看似問準他的意思。而該男員工很晦氣的答:你先坐那邊吧,我執好枱再叫你。到我坐到 sofa seat 的位置準備點菜,本來想點 mussels 但當天無貨,便點了午餐牌的 spring chicken w/ linguine。 喝過湯後準備吃主菜,當我用刀把雞腿切開時發覺有點 undercooked, 便請女職員幫我請廚房用微波爐叮一叮。該男員工聽到後便一聲不響的過來把 chicken dish 拿去廚房,女員工則在我等待食物的當兒和我聊天,並說會幫我向廚房跟我的主菜。當男員工把我的主菜歸還給我時,我發現在我用刀切過的部分雞腿肉不知所蹤,但旁邊的 linguine 卻是重新做再上碟。我當下向他提出我並沒有進食過該雞腿,為何他給我送回來的雞腿怎麼有部份消失

set。姑勿論 Spring Chicken 是否真的已 all sold out, 但我因選不上其他 lunch set(如之前所言,到 Okapi 本來是想吃 mussels 的),何況在當時 hostile 的氣氛也不適宜繼續留在 Okapi 用餐,我便要求 cancel order 及為我喝過的湯結賬。而該湯的價錢可已是整個 set 的一大半費用!我離開時在門口正在送客的女員工可能也懾於該男員工的晦氣,低頭不敢望我,倒是我主動跟她 say bye 呢!我實在不明白該位態度差勁的男員工為何要選在 hospitality 的行業工作?他如果對自己的工作不滿也不應向客人亂發脾氣呀!西貢是主要旅遊點,他的不專業表現真的令香港蒙羞。我當天可是專程從銅鑼灣 去西貢的呀,怎料吃出一肚氣之餘還得在附近另找餐廳醫肚。附近灣景街眾多西餐廳的waiter/waitress 的服務都較好。我不是要令任何人丟飯碗,但敬業樂業的工作態度是守則,在餐飲服務業界更是必需。請 Okapi Cafe 的負責人向該名陳姓男員工了解一下,他出了甚麼情緒問題,何故像是世人都欠了他似的?

是日的午餐,香煎豬扒配煙肉洋蔥汁,盡量西式的食,於是我選擇了薯菜。豬扒有兩場,份量上完全得到大滿足,而且豬扒一咬就令人知曉這不是一般的豬肉,這豬扒雖然不帶肥肉,但肉香味十分之濃烈,豬扒在沒有肥肉的襯托下依然肉味香,的確不是簡單,肉質是腍同易咬的,我沒有多理會個汁,這豬扒加上牛油味的薯蓉,十分美味。

比利時餐廳,我沒有叫下青口,亦沒有叫下比利時的啤酒,餐後來則來了一杯濃郁的咖啡,法國式的沖調法,咖啡又濃又香,不加奶飲才能夠感受其獨特的香濃味。

星期天跟老公去西貢去搵食,行左大半個鐘,去比較下邊間食店檔好,見呢間門面幾西式而且午餐價錢合宜,所以決定幫襯。度門好大隻好重,推左一陣侍應終於來幫忙。被安排坐於門口僭建的2人枱,只有好小空間給我進入。。。好彩最近冇乜肥到。此店樓底高,掛了大吊燈及有西式壁爐,感覺十分舒適。先來一籃餐包,有4片法包及2粒細細粒的牛油粒。法包外脆內軟,而且為暖暖的,塗上牛油很快融入麵包中 很好吃。可惜牛油切成粒粒狀,又唔溶,好難搽。今日餐湯是清雞湯,裏面有蘿蔔西芹及麵,味道清甜,又有蔬菜味,感覺好健康。老公點咗燒羊架配雜菜($98),我點了西西里海鮮5色飯($92)西西里海鮮5色飯顏色相當鮮艷,金黃色的飯,飯粒軟糯,醬汁很creamy 但略䶢。海鮮方面有蝦、魷魚、蜆同青口仔,份量多及新鮮。整體味道普通。羊架有3小件,肉嫩、淋,有羊肉味但唔蘇。但可食的肉不多。個醬汁跟羊架好夾,跟薯蓉食都好味。味道一般、服務一般。下次試下附近其他食店!

到西貢找食,想吃西式海鮮。開了一支sparkling wine龍蝦湯及比利時波菜湯,味道可以,最緊要熱。白酒Mussels,難得的鮮嫩,比預計大隻,nice!煎帶子龍蝦汁意粉,帶子可以,意粉太濕,沒甚龍蝦味紐西蘭肉眼,叫5成第一次太熟,換第二次也有7成熟,無肉味。可能只可以食海鮮

When this place opened a few years ago, I thought it a refreshing addition to Sai Kung's western dining scene and in truth, it did set about galvanizing what was then an uninteresting collection of western eateries. On the one end, the Chinese style soup and steak cafes to the hideously priced eat-to-be-scene joints touted around Man Yee Playground.
So where does Okapi fit in? When it opened, the menu was a hit and miss; I couldn't quite understand why their dinner a la carte mark up was so high and yet the lunch menu was great value. It wasn't spectacularly "Belgian" as their promo suggested apart from the mussels which weren't done so well (ginger in moules mariniere).... But it had a decent lunch menu.

Lunch menus are nearly and should be how well an establishment treats it's patrons. And perhaps more to the point, an indication of how well the chef copes in serving the locality where it decides to open the restaurant. And it is for this, I praise Okapi's lunch menu that was nearly always a good scattering of choices and accordingly budgets -all done remarkably well and not deficient of any of key ingredients. For their efforts and honesty in delivering what was promised, this became a regular lunch (and sometimes dinner) destination.

However, over the last few months, some of the old hands at the front have left (or been removed) and no doubt personnel towards the engine room has undergone a reshuffle. I say this not so much in jest but more to the point that nearly all aspects of what made this place good and honest has all but disappeared. The wait staff display Parisian rudeness minus the Parisian aplomb; the food invariably disappoint -steak done medium means raw in chef terms; solo diners are shunned, well you get the drift.

The last time I came to lunch did it for me. Rude jumped up little man -they came in 2 flavours- playing the "I work in a western restaurant and therefore I am and you should feel privilege to dine here and moi servicing you!" - you know the type. Kitchen brigade played along as a tag team and delivered the first bout with their soup du jour that was bodiless and totally insipid. The mushroom linguine that followed showed that either the chef didn't care or didn't know how this should be. The linguine was a tad underdone, the French horn mushrooms (and Shiitake) were very underdone and no binding at all so all the ingredients sat miserably in their corner of the bowl waiting for a fork. I left nearly all of it and no question as to why proffered when waiter-of-the-year cleared the table.

Worst meal I've had for a long time and for an establishment opened as long as this, they ought to give better and they ought to do better. Until I hear better, I'll just refer it's namesake with the added "R". I'll leave you to work it out where it ought to be placed

去西貢吹吹風,除咗食海鮮之外,都會去食西餐。已經係第二次幫襯Okapi, 第一次食過之後印象唔錯。今次去到,上下層已坐滿,要等等位,經理安排我地去後園坐。等咗10分鐘就有枱,仲係sofa 位添,舒服!睇睇午餐牌,好似無轉過喎。我要咗鮮茄海鮮扁意粉, 媽要咗西西里海鮮五色飯,而爸就鍾情香腸。餐湯係青豆湯,我本身唔鍾意食青豆,但青豆已打成茸,亦無青豆嘅青味,好易入口,加咗忌廉,所以好滑。鮮茄海鮮扁意粉,十個like!!!鮮茄汁味道好raw, 份量又多,食到尾都仲有汁,絕對唔會乾爭爭。扁意粉十分彈牙,軟硬適中;海鮮好多,有魷魚、魚、蜆、青口同蝦。當中以蜆最為出色,鮮味十足又無沙!我都好鍾意媽嘅西西里海鮮五色飯,好香好濃,加入忌廉煮成,所以好creamy~海鮮一樣多。環境都好好,坐得好舒服!服務不過不失,雖不算殷勤,但都有禮。

鮮茄海鮮扁意粉,十個like!!!

鮮茄汁味道好raw, 份量又多,食到尾都仲有汁,絕對唔會乾爭爭。
扁意粉十分彈牙,軟硬適中;
海鮮好多,有魷魚、魚、蜆、青口同蝦。
當中以蜆最為出色,鮮味十足又無沙!

The lunch sets were of good value with price ranging from some 40 to 80 bucks. The restaurant environment is in European style with elegant look. Comfortable and probably quite romantic at night. Nice food and quite good service. The waitress took initiatives to refill water for us from time to time. Nice food and quite good service. The waitress took initiatives to refill water for us from time to time.

As a whole, the restaurant was ok...juz that it needs sth to make it stand out from the rest of European restaurants around the area....or, to put it simple, to persuade or give a good reason to customers like me to re-visit it for meals.

做了數十年人,吃飯無數,第一次忍不住寫食評,因為實在太好味了!除夕夜,慶祝拍拖五周年紀念,餐廳只得除夕套餐可供選擇。沒想到每一道菜都是如此超水準,食材頂級而新鮮,湯香濃而材料豐富,那道野鴨胸簡直令人懷疑過往數十年吃的鴨胸到底是甚麼!這個才是真正鴨胸應有的味道呀。甚至連雪芭上那小小的藍莓都是如此有質感,你彷彿把一整個森林吃下去了。那種滋味,那種香氣,令人久久不能忘懷。龍蝦每一啖都鮮嫰得你放進口不欲張開嘴巴,生怕洩了那道香氣。甜品同樣是如此令人回味,我們把碟底都刮光了。最後的咖啡,滋味回甘。此餐只應天上有,人間那得幾回嚐?我們約好了明年再來,希望明年還能保持如此水準吧!
