最後當然少不了要品嚐甜品,這樣才算是吃上一頓完滿的晚餐嘛!我們選了兩款甜品來開心Share,先來品嚐我喜歡的桂花冰粉$98,這兒的冰粉賣相跟我在坊間川菜店吃的很不一樣!平時的大多是個圓球形的但這兒的已經將冰粉造成粒狀,這樣安排非常好能品嚐得優雅之餘亦方便分享,除了滑嘟嘟的冰粉外內裏還伴上新鮮的士多啤梨和藍莓,充滿果香又不會過甜非常合我的心水,還有這個很特別的豆乳布甸$108,豆漿布甸口感挺滑帶有豆香,伴隨的香口黑芝麻脆脆令成件事更上一層樓,最後更送上時令生果用來解辣或幫助消化也是一流的安排。

歪打誤撞在開業的第一週就walk-in了這家black sheep旗下的四川菜餐廳。實話說,本來是沒什麼期望的,畢竟腦袋裡就是小小的問號:川菜西做,會足夠地道好吃嗎? 先說紅油抄手,香港最最最好味!!! 先說紅油抄手,香港最最最好味!!! Take my money awaaaaay🤲🏻不可否認,價格不便宜, 一份只有六個抄手,但是好吃也確實真心好吃!上桌時六個小白胖子晶瑩剔透,用勺子把抄手和紅辣椒油翻滾攪拌均勻,直接香到往生了🥺皮薄肉多醬香,而且肉餡是實打實的純肉餡,沒有一些亂七八糟的姜蓉和蔥粒在裡面喧賓奪主。紅油抄手要好吃,不止抄手味道要好,紅油也必須到位。Grand Majestic讓我覺得沒有在唬弄食客的地方就是紅油非常正宗。經理每道菜上桌都會細細介紹一番,在菜的味道上,他們希望不止做好酸甜鹹香,更不遺漏川菜的一大重點—「怪」。


水煮牛肉色澤鮮豔,香氣噴鼻,大片的牛肉燙得剛剛好,還帶著一些粉紅色的光澤,夾著豆芽和芹菜一起入口,麻辣鮮香俱全!雖然是target外國人的川菜,但在辣度上完全沒有手軟,在各種乾辣椒的圍攻下被辣得很爽快!


糖醋裏脊切成剛好入口的大小,裹了一層薄薄的粉,醬汁份量也拿捏得很好,掛汁但不流汁,吃起來有油炸的酥脆也有醬汁的酸甜。經理還介紹將水煮牛肉和糖醋裏脊梅花間竹咁食,直接將味覺體驗提升到另一個層次,糖醋裏脊的甜和解了水煮牛肉的辣又更帶出它的鮮,有點「怪」味的意思了。如果來這家餐廳吃,也建議試試!


麻婆豆腐和冬菜炒飯就不過不失,不需要特別點。值得一提的是,麻婆豆腐比想像中辣,而且用的是牛肉碎,讓豆腐更香口了,加分!


小插曲是,waiter給你帶路去洗手間之後,會拎住杯champagne係門口等你,再陪你一路傾計行翻你張檯,有啲驚嚇又有啲好笑😹笑死…係被take care過頭嘅感覺

餐廳環境服務都貫徹black sheep restaurants一向嘅高水準,最後仲會送生果。不過食物份量真係比較少,味道不過不失,性價比略低😶但係一間少有幾有看頭又坐得舒適嘅中菜餐廳。

📍Grand Majestic Sichuan

Another new venture for the @blacksheeprestaurants is Grand Majestic Sichuan. Located at Alexandra House, it provides a grand majestic take on the humble Sichuan cuisine.

It goes along the typical Blacksheep Restaurant vibe, with the deemed lights and music. Service is superb as always.

Was skeptical at first but the 夫妻肺片 was legit 🔥 The spice and numb levels all hit the right spot. It gave me high hopes to the meal but then the mains fell flat.

They said their 酸菜魚 used line caught grouper but you can’t really taste the difference. It also lacks the necessary side items such as noodles, mushrooms and etc.

The 水煮牛, again used high quality grass fed beef tenderloin but you can’t really taste the difference with all the spices.

Don’t get me wrong, they are ok but it’s not worth the extra bucks.

The 重慶辣子雞 was quite nice. Crunchy and with a bit of heat.

When we were a bit disappointed, then came the star dish of the night, their Dan Dan noodles. Served table side, you get to see how the sauce and the noodles are tossed and mixed. Not like the traditional dandan noodles which are mostly with a broth, this one is served dry. The noodle texture is so bouncy and the spicy sesame sauce was divine. This is the dish for me to come back for.

We ended with two very underwhelming desserts. Would rather go to Messina for gelato instead 😂

Overall, it’s ok but not wow. But the dandan noodles for sure made me a returning customer.

PS no more champagne after toilet after the grand opening week 😂 but they do have a very impressive wine and cocktail list!

Price: HK$600-1000 pp

Revisit: 7/10 (overall) (10/10 for the dan dan noodles)

Having slept on the experience here is my honest review. We visited for a friend's celebration as a party of 6. we were essentially put on a table which was like a booth in a Hong Kong Cafe, room from table edge to seat back was exactly from wrist to elbow, absolutely squashed ! We had asked to move but there was no option offered for our average sized party, even having booked in advance, essentially this means you would be slightly better off going as a couple and sitting on a small round table, or if a larger group please ensure everyone is extremely petit.
The tables are very small width, and reading the huge A3 size menu is an art in  itself as you can’t move it far away from your face due to the risk of knocking glasses over, you are also unable to stretch your legs out unless you want to play footsies with your neighbours... it reminded me of the heady days of regular air travel and being downgraded to economy class seating, consequently it was a relief to stand up and stretch my legs.
Staff were constantly harassing us to order, or to clear away dishes we had not yet finished. The serving staff were also at a disadvantage and unable to reach the far end of the table, literally just the first 25pc of the table. Consequently this meant we were interrupted many many times to move or pass dishes, as I was on the serving staff end of the narrow table my place setting and wine glass would be moved constantly by the staff all the time back in my way so I could not reach the dishes making the whole experience super irritating.
We opted to order some dishes and starters first, and then wanted to order further mains after reading the menu further, however the serving staff said we should order the mains quickly before it gets busy (it being 6.30pm and the restaurant only at 50pc capacity) we declined and ordered later.
The wine was nice, although pricey, and glasses were refilled very very quickly, a bit too quickly if we are honest.
We then ordered some mains, but for some weird reason the serving staff kept trying to get us to order vegetable dishes, and when we asked to order the “Moutai Chicken” (a friend had recommended) we were told by the server that she did not recommend as it was a “strong taste” and perhaps we should order Prawns! We went for the chicken….
When it arrived it looked nice, the serving staff poured half of some flaming Moutai over the chicken and then left the saucepan of not used Moutai flaming away next to me whilst trying to pass us the dish, the flaming pot was then taken a few meters further away from me and nearer to the reception area whilst still on fire and sat on a sideboard burning away, I was wondering whether it was to serve as  a beacon to light the way and welcome new customers like a moth to a flame or whether it was an unintended fire hazard and we would need to soon evacuate through the fire exits. Thankfully, the fire burned out after a few mins, shame really as it was probably a wasteful use of Moutai that I would of preferred adding to my dish seeing as I would eventually pay for it.
Nonetheless the chicken did taste very nice, and was very moist with a great flavour, I definitely recommend this dish even if the staff don’t want you to have it.
Having travelled extensively including to Sichuan, I have to say I was very very disappointed with the whole ambience and experience, I also don’t see any value that the dress code brings to such cramped conditions unless its to help justify the far above average price.
In short, food was “ok”, but as a venue and experience its over hyped.

We celebrated a birthday here and the tuxedo staff all sang together, plus they comped us a pepper chocolate ice cream. That was a cute surprise. And a very Black Sheep touch.

The only complaint we had was the stupid squeaking door to the outside, sliding in and out making this horrible noise! All they had to do is WD40 that to make it stop!

Apart from being HELLA expensive, it was overall a good experience in a nice and comfortable interior.

會有專人係席前製作!佢地嘅擔擔麵唔係平時見開湯麵個種,而係正宗啲比較似拌麵咁~ 我幾鍾意佢嘅麵條,有彈性之餘,又掛到汁,仲要少少麥味添?! 肉碎同為手切黑毛豬,食落就緊係無乾韌嘅口感,份量亦恰到好處。食到最後個底都唔會成陣油~ 家姐完全心心眼,可惜得個兩小碗,真係唔係好夠喉

乾扁四季豆:10分幼細、我認為比南北樓更上一層樓,每一條四季豆就算走過油都10分幼嫩爽口,難能可貴、佐飯一流辣子雞 : 完全啱我呢種懶人 ,去骨「抵讚」,出邊食到個辣子雞全部骨頭多個肉,可以叫做辣子雞骨,如果佢能夠炸得香酥多點,及注意膿面可謂更上一層樓酸菜魚 : 不是坊間平常的桂花魚或鱸魚,而是手釣金錩,滑溜,味道好 ,可惜偏油膩,酸菜不夠,但配飯一流,PS 呢度$38白飯任裝,麵粉超人可以到此一遊挑戰自己紀錄宮保蝦球 : 有別於坊間宮保蝦球做法,反之 他們用上比較偏上海式豉油糖醬油, 可惜醬汁太凋,掛唔到上蝦球,宮保蝦球應該有辣,可惜他並不貼題,值得一讚蝦的質素是好的擔擔拌面 : 喺你面前即叫即拌,用嘅係麥麵,你唔會食得出來自西班牙Iberico肉醬, 呢個可能係敗筆嘅,醬汁太凋,加上麵條太厚,入口嘅時候感覺好像有一堆麵粉係你口度並不是可以食到食麵嗰種銀絲感覺,食完10分膩服務周到,地方漂亮,價錢尚算合理,留意他每個菜式如果辣的話都是偏辣,並不是駿景軒或天府人家的Omakahot , 算係好食,但係又唔可以令到你好掛住嗰度菜而係會令你有意欲想再光顧試試其他不同的菜式PS : 呢度適合

PS : 呢度適合腎虧或者滴滴仔嘅朋友,因為每次你去完廁所,佢哋都會毫不客氣地俾杯香檳嚟飲,啱晒我呢啲花樣中年嘅人去
