ambience is as good as you get for this price and being in IFC

service is attentive and professional - w/in expectation

main course: BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! two thin slices of beef tenderloin that looked dry at first sight. cutting it was a BIG struggle even though a steak knift was provided. first bite: it was room temporature and actually slightly cold! feels like they've processed a whole batch of beef and no one has ordered any! so hard to chew that i feel like giving me cheek a good workout. hardly could finish half slice (1/4 of the main). if this wasn't a business lunch, i would've totally made a big fuss!

dessert: fruit looks good but we didn't try any dessert.

coffee: standard - though i don't know how they got the mug handle so hot - almost as if it was taken out from a microwave oven

overall: out of H one / Harlan's / Tuscany by H and Isola for business lunch, Tuscany is definately the BEST, then Harlan's, then Isola and I would avoid H one

侍應們的服務不錯,唯獨是門口帶位的那位女士,態度是零零舍舍的很差。

連啤酒,埋單每人三百左右,不便宜,但想起吃pizza,總會來這裡。

Table for 4 booked at 1245pm under my frined's name. Let's call the four of us 1, 2, 3 and 4.What went wrong -1) Gal 2 arrived without knowing Gal 1 was already inside. What went wrong -

1) Gal 2 arrived without knowing Gal 1 was already inside. Gal 2 waited at the front desk for more than 3 minutes waiting for the manager (assume she is - blond straigt hair in pony tail, in a blue shirt) to MOVED HER EYES UP FROM THE RESERVATION BOOK SHE WAS STILL READING WHILE GAL 2 WAS STANDING IN FRONT OF HER FOR MORE THAN 3 MINS. Gal 2 kept on saying "Table for 4 booked at 1245pm under XXX".

2) It tooked the manager another 2-3 mins to figure out which booking that was before leading Gal 2 inside.

3) Gal 2 asked for a class of warm water. She asked that from i) The manager (same one who walked inside from the front desk) who said "My assistant is gonna help you"; ii) A waitress; iii) A waitor. The glass of warm water arrived, after asking that from 3 persons, around 10 mins after the last request was made.

4) 4 Set lunches were ordered at around 1pm and all courses arrived at around 1410pm.

5) Dessert time. We didn't know dessert with set lunch was served in a buffet style - not until we waved at one of the waitress who end up saying "Dessert is not ordered, it is served outside, you can go out to get it". We went "Okie, how about coffee and tea?", she went "What do you want"?

6) While the desserts were still on the table, we waved again for the bill. It was around 1410.

7) We chased for the bill twice and it arrived at around 1420.

8) We paid by credit card so it took us anohter 5 mins for the card to come back. We walked out at around 1425.

I wouldn't say food is bad, food is okie here, but considering price Vs. SERVICE, I would choose Harlan's over Isola.

(P.S. - the area we were sitting was smelly, we suspected it was the wet wooden floor).

If you have plenty of time and plenty of patience and don't mind paying for no service, isola is the place.

見環境不俗, 便跟朋友試試這家餐廳。因為冇訂位o既關係, 餐廳要求8點交台, 其實都冇問題, 個半鐘都夠。坐低order食物後, 點了一個pasata 同焗海鮮。上菜出奇地快, 同步上晒兩個order。意粉一般, 焗海鮮...奇差! 諗唔到幾粒蕃茄仔加鮮魷仔可以收HKD328。仲要唔駛5分鐘d 野凍晒... 一d 都唔好食。d 意粉未食完就有條友分埋俾我地拿拿聲收碟(好趕)。飯後見有餐包未食晒,諗住食多一舊,waiter 二話不說收起晒d 食物刀叉仲搵d 刀刀叉叉掃乾淨張台!! 就連我食緊果籃餐包同d 醬都收埋, 我先同佢講, 我仲食梗!! sorry 都冇一句又放番係度...這個是什麼態度!! 食餐飯食完唔駛45mins, 趕到呀..埋單600蚊, 一d 都唔值囉!

First thing frist, the minestrone taste like water, clearly it is not made by broth, but sure there are a lot of vegs in the soup, just without any taste at all.

Risotto was amazing, really hard to fine restaurants which have half cooked risotto, well done, very italian. (This is the only dish I like)

Beef Roast, doesnt sound very italian to me, again, no taste, no flavour. Potatoes on the side were good though.

Desert, cakes, cheesecakes, blah blah blah, you should got the picture.

2 sangria after meal, refreshing.

700ish for lunch for 2, you do the math.

周日和朋友去吃晚飯,原以為是一家高級西餐廳,但以門面裝潢而言,只是一般。當天共4人,Starter叫了一個Parma ham,味道ok再叫了兩個湯,一個是雜菜湯,一個是豆湯,兩個湯的味道都只是一般,豆湯非常"杰",賣相頗差.....之後來的是薄餅,意大利飯、一份steak,一個龍蝦意大利麵,那麵是手製的,形狀看來似日本烏冬,吃入口很"煙靭",味道ok。其中最好吃是steak和龍蝦,龍蝦能吃出鮮味,很難得。最後來兩個甜品,一客Tiramisu,一客朱古力甜品,朋友啫甜,看着那朱古力蛋糕切開,Dark chocolate流出來,未吃已開心。我很少吃西菜,對西式烹調方法和料理興趣不大,今次去isola,覺得還可以啦~~

the place is very nice. abit too bright during the day (with all the windows?) and it was quite noisy during lunch hour. the food is supprisingly good. ordered this scallop appetizer and it is very yummy with a thin strip of bacon wrapped around it. pizza is excellent too. it is huge but the crust is really thin. my friend had a risotto it was slightly too heavy in cream and cheeze but the taste is good.

事緣小妹的同事想找個地方與男友慶祝生日,由於我之前於Isola吃過晚飯,覺得值得介紹,故此陪伴同事到那兒再作site visit兼吃午飯。先說晚飯質素。景觀是無用置疑的,由於餐廳座落IFC三樓,故理所當然有落地玻璃望見尖沙咀。餐廳晚上的情調不錯,有不俗的天花裝飾。餐廳有兩層,樓上面積較小,只有吧台。下層(三樓)地方算寬敞,氣氛不太拘謹,場內有情侶亦有5-8人的小組用膳。至於食物,頭盤由$130-160不等,素食的選擇也不錯。我點了marinated tuna salad,吞拿魚夠新鮮,marinated的味道很特別,但不失tuna鮮味,其伴菜則普普通通。主菜由$160-200多不等(海鮮會貴一些),我點了手打pasta配碎羊肉及蕃茄。Pasta是al dante的,碎羊肉及蕃茄就中規中距,羊肉夠。甜品方面,由於事隔太久,印象中是一款有蜜糖有朱古力的甜品,但清楚記得是很好吃的。如上文提及,最近於星期天中午再與同事到Isola。午餐的set menu(每人$248)有兩款湯或自助沙律吧供選擇、7-8款主菜選一及自助甜品吧。我與同事當然選了沙律吧,有5-6款沙律、4-5款salami/ pa

如上文提及,最近於星期天中午再與同事到Isola。午餐的set menu(每人$248)有兩款湯或自助沙律吧供選擇、7-8款主菜選一及自助甜品吧。我與同事當然選了沙律吧,有5-6款沙律、4-5款salami/ parma ham、fresh greens及芝士。全部水準都很高,只嫌ham不夠鮮味。個人最喜歡一款包括豆類、薯仔及吞拿魚的沙律(我同事吃過沙律已說大半飽,所以愛美及愛沙律的女士不妨一試)。主菜方面,同事點了蕃茄雞肉長通粉,我則要了焗三文魚。後者的粉量稍嫌少,但三文魚尚算肥美。至於長通粉,依然以al dante取勝。甜品吧至少有12-13款供選擇,款式較大路,如tiramisu、apple tart & crumble、crme brulee、cheese cakes…其中有些finger food size的小甜點蠻特別,包括香滑忌廉吉士撻(入口即溶!)及炸檸檬味蛋糕粒等。

整體來說,Isola的食物份量適中,沒有貴價唔飽之嫌。當然午餐較抵食是不變的定律,但晚餐時段以每人三至四百的budget,可於IFC賞靚景及輕鬆享膳仍是化算的。

註:若要訂位請避免餐廳三樓入口右邊大廳的最右角落近窗位(二人檯)。因位處角落又有條柱於旁邊,故空氣不夠流通,有局促之感,以免與情人食飯時破壞氣氛啦!
