Went there under the recommendation of my colleague. Was not extremely fantastic, but pretty good I would say.Order we had:1. Lobster Salad with grapefruit (normal)2. 18 month parma ham with melon (GOOD)3. Hand twist squid ink pasta (Not too bad)The view was great cos it's facing the harbour. The ambiance is very good for girls night out, business lunch/dinner or a romantic date. I'm sure it's already fully book for tomorrow.

根據意文, Isola解作”island”,原本我最初會聯想起熱情小島,西西里風情等等, 誰知島是島,卻是落後荒島! 以價錢論,此店可屬於高級食肆,理應招呼上有相當水準. 可惜此處侍應們連帶經理的招呼及態度,可說並不達標. 例如我們點了risotto但table setting上並未有食匙,要上菜時問到才有; 連black pepper亦如是; 侍酒方法亦錯, 又有倒太滿而溢出情況. 他們絕對有需要被再培訓.

總而言之,食物質素好,但服務的確令人失望. 尤幸有好同伴,令心靈跟肚皮同樣滿足 
是晚Miffy埋單 $1500.

It has been a long while since I dine here, almost a year ago I think. While shopping around IFC in the afternoon, I somehow had the craving for parma ham pizza and Isola came to me mind immediately. I did not book in advance so decided to head directly to reserve a table for later that night. Surprisingly they did have free tables for my friend and I, but the staff informed us (or more like pre-warn us) that it will be a corner table only. Well, we were okay with it since it was a last minute booking. Later we found out that the definition of a corner seat is somewhat (or vastly) different from our expectation. It was a WINDOW seat overlooking the Victoria Harbour at the CORNER of the dinning area. Surprised indeed !

While enjoying the view we got from this corner seat, we were served with the bread basket. For just the two of us, I was surprised they would serve us that many bread. There were about 5 kinds of bread but for some odd reasons it only came with a small bowl of salsa sauce and no butter at all. I never knew salsa sauce can be used for that many kinds of bread (ie: bread stick?) Anyhow, the breads were not that impressive in my opinion but then I am still in the process of perfecting my bread knowledge. A positive note at this point was that the polite waiter did not seem pushy about the fact that we did not order bottled water, thumbs up on this attitude ! We ordered the following dishes: (1) BeefCarpaccio on salad leaves with balsamic, topped with Parmigiano -Reggiano (2) Parma Ham, diced tomato, Mozzarella, argula and Parmigiano pizza and (3) Lobster crab meat risotto with saffron tomato lightly spicy broth.
(1) Beef Carpaccio on salad leaves with balsamic, topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano
Portion looked very generous in terms of beef but the most important factor is the quality of the food. I am stressing on this point because the beef has no beef taste as all, as if we were eating something tender and soft that resemble raw meat. Possible reason was the strong balsamic vinegar they over poured all over the dish. It was adisappointing dish in general.
(2) Parma Ham, diced tomato, Mozzarella, argula and Parmigiano Pizza
As mentioned, this was the dish why I was there at the first place. However, the amount of parma ham seemed less generous than what I remembered from my last visit. Also, the parma ham was not as salty as it should have been but in general, a fair and comforting dish to enjoy overlooking the Victoria Harbour.
(3) Lobster crab meat risotto with saffron tomato lightly spicy broth.
Two words - Extreme Disappointment. Risotto is suppose to be chewy (the rice especially) with very creamy sauce. What was served was more like Spanish Paella! In other words, softer texture for the rice and slightly watery sauce. The lobster meat was fresh but that cannot compensate for the watery nature of the risotto! I thought the chef would act as a final gate keeper in the kitchen to prevent such a dish from leaving his precious territory! Thumbs down!

* Great view for most seats.
* Good services (especially not too pushy for not ordering bottled water)
Dislikes:
* Tasteless beef carpaccio
* Watery Risotto (or should I call it Risotto with a Spanish Paella touch?)

好好味..好開心!! 1:00pm吃到4:30pm.... haha~~ 開頭入到餐廳感覺不太好...非常嘈..係非常嘈(心想如此高級的地方, 竟然同酒樓冇分別, 係咪架!?) 好在侍應非常好地問 "有冇須要轉出去outside坐, 因為較為空曠冇咁嘈" 最後坐回原位..外面實在太熱喇!! 跟住侍應放低水杯及menu就行開了, 追問可唔可以先給我們幾杯冰水..."要有氣定冇氣? e....原來係要order的(要另計價錢)..."ok!! 一行3人order了buffet, 再選擇了main course就出去拎頭盆...嘩...正!! pama ham ~.~ 好好味...沙律菜又正...蕃茄乾勁正(唔係度度有得吃)...各式各樣的頭盆好正; 結果吃了3輪...hahaha~~飽(完全唔記得有主菜未吃) 結果主菜...義大利飯吃了一半...勁正牛排吃了一半....anyway! 作為愛甜的我們, 點飽也好, 總有小小位置預留給"她"! 甜品 ...如果10分滿分的話?"她"...7分啦!! 好滿足....

This is my first weekend buffet lunch with Isola. It's really expensive BUT it's really good as you can feel from my pictures !! The food on the buffet table is continuous refilled and with new dishes.... Unlimited supply of parma harm with melon make me crazy and they are freshly cut in front of you!

主菜有5-6款, 有risotto, pasta, 燒雞等, 我試左肉醬闊條麵同蕃茄醬penne, 兩者比較重蕃茄味, 水準平平, 唔算好特出, 因朋友和大廚相熟關係, 可以試左佢地的燒虎蝦, 虎蝦好大隻而且好爽, 用開心果碎同椰絲鋪面燒, 燒得好香口, 激讚!!


甜品方面有藍莓芝士蛋糕, 蘋果酥, 泡芙, 生果, panna cotta, 梨批等, 另有tiramisu, 淡淡的酒味, 芝士味濃, 唔濕, 實在唔錯, 而creme brulee同麵包布甸熱辣辣的, 奶味適中, 焗得香香脆脆, 都幾好味道!!

最後用上意大利lavazza 咖啡作結,實在滿足, 其實呢度brunch的食物貴精不貴多, 出色於頭盤同甜品加上中環海景, 收$268位(另加一)都算合理, 不過值得一提的係無免費水, 客人一定要叫aqua panna之類的'外國'水

請注意, 我們一行 18人, 每人也點了頭盤, 主菜, 甜品, 又有 sparkling water, sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, 大家主要吃了蝦, 龍蝦 salad, seabass, 生牛肉, 羊架, pizza, parma ham等等。是次消費每人平均 $1200, 還有 18 人, 怎麼說也是大客, 但為何他們對大客都是這樣? 起初都覺得他們service ok (應該是因為我們有半枱外國人吧), 食物亦不錯, 只是生牛肉切得不夠薄及頭盤和主菜的分量有點奇怪。但自我同事暈倒那刻之後, 便看清楚他們的服務態度!! 懇請餐廳老闆重新 train 過你的員工, 教曉你的員工不要在工作時嘻嘻哈哈及玩樂, 不要無視你的客人, 要熱心幫忙你的客人, 無論大客小客也是客!!! 說真的, 我覺得你們的燒蝦, sorbet, seabass 都好吃, 但你們的不專業服務態度, 怎樣可令客人有再想去的衝動呢?? 你們是高級餐廳, 但為何可以完全不注重員工的服務態度??再三強調, 我的老闆說不會有下次!!! black list~!!!!

主要客人是外國人為主, 相對食客較斯文, 而且較酒店的自助餐安靜得多。 Isola 的 lunch buffet 價錢與五星級酒店一樣, 食物質素當然不會差, 除了主菜外。 與四季相比, IFC 的位置較好, 一灠維港景色。 頭盤的水準真的很高, 食材新鮮, 款式亦不少。 最喜歡沙律, 味道一流。 另外, 合桃加蜜糖好味道。 主菜方面較普通, 選了牛腩。 牛腩肉質不夠幼嫩, 汁的味道較淡。 覺得用紅酒燴牛腩會較合適。 其實, 主菜是裝不下的, 因為頭盤已經飽肚, 還要留肚吃甜品。 甜品有蛋糕、tiramisu、tart 等。 Blueberry cheese cake 令人失望, 芝士味欠奉。 有驚喜是 tiramisu, 又滑又香, 有少少酒味。 後來添食時發覺第二盤味道差些, 不知是否先入為主?

16號同一個朋友在這裏食lunch。兩人頭盤都要buffet,沙律和cold cut 都有好多選擇,味道同質素都好好,結果樣樣食D都已經飽哂。其中一款頭盤好似成個羅白糕咁,原來係薯蓉,幾得意。主菜我要咗海鮮意粉,個意粉沒有汁,只用橄欖油同蒜蓉撈,海鮮有蝦、尤魚及帶子,切到好細,所以感覺料好少。意粉幾彈牙,做得唔錯,但個人就不喜歡沒有汁的意粉。朋友要左 milanese style牛仔肉,order 時唔知乜野係milanese style, 來到先知係好似吉列咁,外面用麵包糠包住塊好薄的牛仔肉炸,上碟並沒有醬點。用這方法做的牛仔肉可以想像好食極有限。甜品要buffet。有西瓜、芝士、tiramisu及蘋果蛋糕。蘋果蛋糕冇乜特別,tiramisu不過不失,落得唔夠mascarpone。我要左杯 cappuccino,幾好飲呀。餐廳環境幾好,涼天時和一眾朋友坐室外聊天會幾寫意。

朋友要左 milanese style牛仔肉,order 時唔知乜野係milanese style, 來到先知係好似吉列咁,外面用麵包糠包住塊好薄的牛仔肉炸,上碟並沒有醬點。用這方法做的牛仔肉可以想像好食極有限。
甜品要buffet。有西瓜、芝士、tiramisu及蘋果蛋糕。蘋果蛋糕冇乜特別,tiramisu不過不失,落得唔夠mascarpone。
我要左杯 cappuccino,幾好飲呀。
餐廳環境幾好,涼天時和一眾朋友坐室外聊天會幾寫意。

我和男友都鐘意食parma ham, 看過食友對 Isola 的評價後便決定親身去試一試.Book了星期日(20 Jul) 下午十二時的枱. 十二時十五分到達, 被安排坐在室內靠兩邊窗的二人枱 (準確點說, 那張枱是位於離門口最遠的一個有柱的死角位). 甫坐下, 便感受到窗外的溫度, 刺眼的陽光. 我怕熱又怕光, 即時坐立不安. 為免這種不安感覺持續至離場, 遂決定叫waiter 換枱. Waiter 倒沒所謂, 示意我們轉另一張枱. 新位置固然比舊的好, 只是有點冷 – 大冷氣從後面的門縫透進來. 男友主動跟我對調位置, 並要穿上風褸. 感覺上我們這邊 (就是入門口轉右的一邊) 的枱都不太好, 純白的牆身容易反光, 讓眼睛不好受, 再加上多柱位 (是的, 後來我們聽見坐在柱旁的一桌跟waiter的對話: 我很不喜歡這個位置! 另外, waiter不友善的面口也是讓人不舒服的一環. 我不是要帥哥服待我, 只是那些waiter... 個個都像旺角茶餐廳的老兄. 在這樣一個 for fine dining 的地方我會expect 面口比較祥和的waiter. 離開餐廳時男朋友說了一句: 佢地有d 白鴿眼囉. 我說: 這個我倒沒多大感受, 因為由入餐廳個一刻我見到佢地副唔太友善的面口開始, 我己經無再多望佢地...

說到食物. 這是一個半自助餐, appetizer and dessert 是自助形式, main 就六七款選一款. 因為一早知道main 是弱項, 所以一開始就沒有打算叫main. 但落order 時 waiter 說不叫 main 就沒有coffee or tea, 而要main和不要 main 的價錢只差$30 ($268 vs $238), 所以我們最後order 了一個要main, 另一個不要 (我不能喝coffee or tea, 但男友想要lemon tea).

食物質素方面, 就正如下面KC先生所言, 真的是cold cut 和ham (特別是parma ham) 最好. 很後悔沒有專攻ham 和cheese! 話說一去到見到十幾款appetizers 狂掃左兩round, 吃完後已飽了大半. 幾款salad 之中, 以grapefruit with shrimp and fish 最好 (shrimp 和 fish 應該是煎過的). Salad之中有另一款有shrimp 的 (我喜歡吃shrimp 所以兩款都有試), texture ok, 但味道不夠鮮. 其他appetizers 計有: couscous, 火箭菜, sun dried tomato, smash potato with peas, 3 or 4 kinds of olives, eggplant, zucchini, mushroom, 蕃茄水牛芝士, smoked salmon, parma ham, 三款salami, 好幾款cold cut, melon 和三款cheese (一款blue cheese, 其他兩款是milk cheese. 可配 honey and walnut). 我最喜歡 sun dried tomato, smoked salmon, parma ham and milk cheese. 以前不知道cheese可以配honey 和 walnut, 今次一試便愛上! 後來我們又嘗試把parma ham 蘸honey 來吃. 本來以為 parma ham 和 melon 是絕配, 但原來parma ham 配 honey 都好得! 軟熟鹹香又夠薄的 parma ham配上甜甜的蜜糖, 咸甜混雜, 口感好豐富!

至於main, 可選pasta (linguine with clam in pesto sauce or 肉醬意粉), spring chicken, fried salmon or lamp chop. 本來以為選pasta 應該好穩陣, 點知... 都係唔得. 我們點了linguine with clam. 個pasta 真係... 好咸同好油, 意粉又唔夠 al dante, 只係食到咸味食唔到 pesto味, 真係不提也罷 (所以連相都無影).

最後要講下甜品. 同樣是自助形式, 有chocolate cake, tiramisu, jelly with fruits, pudding, apple crumble, 焗梨批, blueberry cheesecake, panna cotta, 泡芙, 焦糖布丁. 最好吃的要數chocolate cake, 其次是panna cotta 同apple crumble. Chocolate cake 的朱古力味好濃 (個蛋糕邊有特多朱古力粉好好食!); panna cotta 奶味好重, texture好滑好滑; apple crumble 不會太甜之餘個面仲好脆, 真係好好食. Tiramisu 的 texture 也不錯, 但完全無酒味. cheesecake 呢? 唔係我鐘意個type, d cheese 好鬆唔實...

總結一句, 食isola呢個半自助buffet, 真係只係食buffet 個部份就夠, 唔需要叫main喇 (除非你想要佢個 tea or coffee). 同埋食buffet 都係要有strategy, 就係選擇性地專攻幾樣最好食就夠, 千祈唔好咁貪心! (如果可以比我再食一次我會只食ham, cold cut, 一兩款salad, 同甜品囉)

對這裡的任何意粉類或意大利飯類也沒有興趣,我只會來吃薄餅,或如是日般,吃這裡的Antipasto+Dessert的自助餐。周未的下午,是全店客滿,可以與外面天氣太凍而全部客人也坐進了室內有關。先來的麵包籃,水準也真不錯。香草包鬆軟,有蒜頭在內的,很香,最先清掉;餅也很鬆脆,用橄欖油醋去點著吃,很快又吃完;如果不是在吃自助餐,必定添吃一轉。Antipasto的一邊以沙律作主打,好幾盤的,都幾大堆頭,但看了一轉,只對西柚明蝦的一盤有點興趣。反而火腿及生肉那邊就更得我心,巴馬火腿即刨的,很軟熟鹹香,最好的還是作配的哈密瓜很甜美,是天仙配;莎樂美腸兩款,乾火腿又幾款,每樣兩片,吃了一轉,也差不多飽了幾成;煙三文不錯,而在旁的黑樣吞拿魚也很好,每樣兩片,又飽了幾成;芝士只三款,分別是兩款硬身的牛奶芝士,及一款軟身的羊奶芝士。硬身的也好吃,加上甜甜的蜜糖,是正宗的吃法,每樣一小撮,已飽得七七八八;甜品的一邊選擇也不少,最好的是蘋果酥及焗梨批,前者酥皮鬆脆,配上的蘋果餡又香又甜,後者也是外脆內甜美,忍不住口吃了兩件;Tiramisu的marsphone芝士味很濃,略嫌咖啡酒味不夠;朱古力蛋糕很真材實

侍應服務不錯的,唯獨是出面take reservation的那位差一點。

淨吃Antipasto+Dessert自助餐每位202蚊,如加48可有一主菜,不過其意粉及飯類水準一般,不吃也不是損失,我還是只會吃自助餐就夠了。

當然也很喜歡這裡的薄餅,敢說全港數一數二。

Ytd night my gf and i was going for a movie in IFC and we see this restaurants environment looks very nice so we went in to have a try. We ordered a tuna salad and a pizza. They gave us some bread to start off with, and they gave us a pumkin sauce for us to dip, the sauce is very nice, very thick and the pumkin taste is very strong. The bbq sauce and the cheese is really nice, the cheese is totally covering the whole pizza and when i bite it, the sauce squeezes out under the cheese layer. Very nice.....
