人,是會長大的。年輕時,吃Pizza Hut 、意粉屋,已經覺得好高級的了。後來,才發覺,這其實只是一些價格比較相宜、無甚性格的連鎖食肆而已。今天 ,我們還會見到一些說“以吃到美味食物” 為目的的食家;但味道,並不是客觀存在的,味道,是一種主觀的看法 - 你覺得它味道好,它就是味道好;你覺得它不合你的胃口,就算是米芝蓮三星,你也只會覺得它是垃圾。這夜,一位經常上天下海的朋友邀約與她的一眾舊學生歡聚,地點就是近來似乎人氣甚盛的“高流灣”。有人說,從店子選的名字就可以看得出它的格調,這個俗氣的名字,跟它俗氣的裝修的確非常配合。全店都是以廂房為主,十來平方尺的小房,坐著六至八人,一點也不算寬闊。店子以海鮮為賣點,我們就點了魚鉸、墨魚丸、醉蝦、魚丸。另外還點了肥牛、皇帝菜、餃子,還有我不吃的田雞(!)說真的,所點的海鮮類食物,並不是特別鮮味,比較可取的是醉蝦,來的時候非常生猛,碟子浸著的酒足足有一大盤,下面還放了大片的薑片。肥牛的雪花不多,即是脂肪太少,令牛肉缺乏了應有的油脂和滯膩,我想不是老闆為了我們的健康著想而故意選些那麼瘦的吧!男生最喜歡吃肉,一碟紅得像顏料似的羊肉,我卻一直沒有去碰它。

全店都是以廂房為主,十來平方尺的小房,坐著六至八人,一點也不算寬闊。

店子以海鮮為賣點,我們就點了魚鉸、墨魚丸、醉蝦、魚丸。另外還點了肥牛、皇帝菜、餃子,還有我不吃的田雞(!)

說真的,所點的海鮮類食物,並不是特別鮮味,比較可取的是醉蝦,來的時候非常生猛,碟子浸著的酒足足有一大盤,下面還放了大片的薑片。
肥牛的雪花不多,即是脂肪太少,令牛肉缺乏了應有的油脂和滯膩,我想不是老闆為了我們的健康著想而故意選些那麼瘦的吧!

男生最喜歡吃肉,一碟紅得像顏料似的羊肉,我卻一直沒有去碰它。

皇帝菜是最便宜的28元一大盤,我索性將它放在自己前面,自灼自吃。

現在,上街吃飯吃什麼已經不太重要了。中、西、日、韓,來來去去都是那些。走遍半個地球吃盡巴黎、馬賽的美食回到香港來,可能還不及一碗魚蛋粉。

美食的精髓在於 - 和一班朋友在輕鬆的環境下,談天說地,大家的想法可以不一樣,但彼此都懂得互相尊重。

如果你還停留在“我要吃一間味道好的食肆”這個階段,可能你還未夠“老”吧!

已多年未打邊爐的我,看了openrice後被此店深深吸引,幸好看著地圖很容易便找到。心想兩天前訂位應該十拿九穩,怎料此店極受歡迎,全店已滿座,只可以訂9點後的時間,雖然10時後有8折優惠,但始終夜了點,明天還要返工,所以決心放工前往等位,碰碰運氣。6點45分已到了高流灣,可惜職員說已經滿座,8點半後再來或許有位,我便留了電話號碼,希望有客人cancel可以給我們。因為友人公司開會時間延遲了,所以我在高流灣門口等待,一位短髮戴眼鏡的女職員看見我在等位,她友善地跟我說暫時也應該沒有位,不如到別處逛逛,總比在這裡呆等好,不過死心不息的我懇請女職員幫忙,若有位可以先給我安排,女職員非常好,她打電話給未到的客人confirm,終於有客人cancel枱,令我只需7點15分便可以入座。不久友人也到了,我們點了豬骨湯底,湯底非常足料,有豬骨、蘿蔔、芹菜、粟米等,而且有很香的胡椒味道,不用放其他食物湯底也很好。先來的火鍋料是水上飄飄,即油炸鬼釀上蝦膠,蝦膠上也放了蟹子,職員教我們將蝦膠的一面浸在湯裡數分鐘便可以進食,油炸鬼脆而蝦膠爽口,果然依照職員的指示能吃到最好的味道。接著是生蠔,友人和我都是蠔迷,美

吃過這一餐,令我更喜歡打邊爐,而且已計劃再來,因為高流灣能做到同一樣的材料,與眾不同的味道。

I always find that beef varies a lot from plate to plate at hot pot restaurants, even if you order the same variety each time. The beef here was GOOD. By the time we finished most of the food, we were so full. The restaurant gave us complimentary transparent chewy red bean desserts which I saw were from Taiwan and came in a box stored in a fridge. If I see them on sale, I will certainly buy some home. A nice ending to a huge and satisfying meal.

因已預先訂了位,不用輪候便可入座食譜印刷精美,食材大多有相片提供,以作參考。乾隆醉雞鍋半只(108元):湯底上枱已嗅到一陣酒香,湯底材料足,呷一口,很美味的醉雞湯底雖然撰了半隻雞的份量,由於雞隻頗肥美,其份量也不少了,雖不是鮮雞,但肉質也算嫩滑可口,加上花雕酒的腌製,味道很不錯。手切雪花肥牛(108元):看上去很不錯,起碼不會肥得像五花腩,而肉質也不會呈瘀黑或瘀紅色,份量也足,而入口肉質嫩滑,牛肉味濃。九嬸墨魚丸(78元):質料尚算新鮮,還吃到絲絲的墨魚纖維,但個人覺得肉質較硬和實,並不算爽口彈牙。四寶餃(68元):材料有鮮蝦雲吞、鮮蝦水餃、菜肉雲吞和魚皮餃各三隻,味道很一般,不覺特別的味美,而魚皮餃的餡料更有些異味同行三人異口同聲認同,証明不是個人口味。招財四寶丸(78元):材料有魚丸、蝦丸、墨魚丸、牛丸各三粒,味道普通,沒有新鮮味美,爽口彈牙的口感,想不到稻香的四寶丸比這還好爽甜桂花蚌(78元):而這個材料真的很不錯,有驚喜桂花蚌入口爽脆可口,非常鮮甜味美粟米(28元):粟米尚算飽滿新鮮,入口亦清甜。雜菜籃(58元):菜籃有小棠菜、白菜心、唐生菜和皇帝菜,菜蔬尚算新鮮,清甜可口。

其實, 早兩年我已聽過這間打邊爐食店 "高流灣"!
但佢出名好串,因為勁多人!

有兩個湯底:皮蛋芫茜湯底清湯湯底,其實兩者的湯都是一樣的,我比較靠近前者所以就主力吃皮蛋和芫茜了。芫茜灼到熟哂所以已沒有了那股刺鼻的味道,直可當菜食;另有點粟米、豆腐和馬蹄可以吃。
手切雪花肥牛 - 在座只有我不吃牛肉,不過看樣子,切得非常工整,雪花都幾靚。
菰類倂盤 - 倂盤的菰類種類不少,大路的鮮冬菇、金菇(我們另外再散叫了一客金菇)、雞脾菇都有,比較特別的是日本本菇,擁有鮮味,不過就太大棵,要放到鍋裡用人手(加筷子啦梗係)分開。
魚皮餃 - 沒有吃。
四寶丸 - 四種丸之中,有幸吃到其中一樣本店名物: 鎮店九嬸墨魚丸!(我當時都不知道的啊)又真的蠻好味的啊,沒有坊間墨魚丸的彈牙,但墨魚味就很鮮美。
蟹子墨魚膠 - 這個就可以舀下鍋用來自製墨魚丸,這個我覺得比墨魚丸更能看和嘗到墨魚的絲絲纖維,也是高水準之作。
墨魚麵 - 用個唧嘴唧下去烚,沒有吃不過幾好玩。
冰豆腐 - 部長的推介,其實就是把豆腐放到冰格冷凍後,豆腐便會變成蜂巢狀,比普通豆腐有口感,而且蜂巢會吸收更多湯汁。剛上檯的時候真的還有冰在上面的,不過放在鍋裡後就沒問題了。
蝦 (不知是什麼種類) - 用竹籤串著,灼一會灼熟了可以吃。友人沒介紹錯,肉質結實了一點,但挺鮮甜的。

另加一大堆蔬菜,還有一渣清潤的竹蔗茅根,大家邊烚邊吃邊談,9 時左右便已吃得飽飽,頭輪客人已走得七七八八,相信夜一些應該會高朋滿座了。吃完出來身上也沒有太濃烈的火鍋味。

每人 $170,也吃得過喎。

挑湯底也挑了很久,朋友愛濃味的東西。西打瞄了別人的沙嗲鍋一眼,也覺得好像很不錯,但想到自己的腸胃,還是清淡一點比較好,要了個豬骨鍋。
奶白色的湯頭看上去就覺得很濃郁,材料非常豐富,粟米、紅蘿蔔、白蘿蔔和豬骨差不多塞滿了整個鍋。慢慢的煮了一個小時後,湯頭變得香濃又好渴,微辛的的胡椒香,濃郁的豬骨湯,作為火鍋中段小休的一口湯,滋味不過。

看食評就有很多人說過這店的桂花蚌特別鮮美,是難以言喻的鮮甜。點菜時朋友已經說一定要點桂花蚌!
送入口,爽脆鮮美,真的,比不倒翁還要鮮美。味道有點複雜..還是第一次說桂花蚌的味道有點複雜,如果沒有猜錯,這店的桂花蚌是有醃製過,好像還有點薑汁的味道。單是論爽脆和鮮美,真的是讓人折服,不過有點像過了頭,大家可以試吃完回來跟西打再討論

吃起來其實有點尷尬。等到蝦膠全熟,油條都變得軟綿綿沒脆度。吃了一塊才掌握到技巧,把油條丟到鍋中,蝦膠一面向下,幾分鐘後,確認蝦膠全熟後,再把條汆燙幾下。油條硬脆帶點湯汁,蟹籽一粒一粒的在口中爆開,唯一可惜是蝦膠有點太單薄,幾乎是嚐不到蝦膠的鮮美。

火鍋當然不能少了牛肉,手切牛肉
本地的手切牛肉油花不會太誇張

入口就是新鮮的感覺,不知怎跟大家形容,真的是有著肉的彈性,也不會硬和滿口纖維,柔軟可口,肉味當然比進口的牛肉更要濃郁,好好吃!有時候真的好怕吃本地牛肉,為了吃肉味濃一點的,往往就要忍受肉質粗糙,這裏的本地牛肉真的是上品!

店裏還有很多西打看上去就想吃的食品,像墨魚膠釀魚肚,還有店裏秘製限量的墨魚丸,當然最特別的是海膽餃...只恨這次只有兩個人,腸胃也特別弱的西打也不能多吃甚麼。到養好腸胃,一定要再去高流灣吃個痛快。

WOW, if you love beef, then this is the place to be. The selection is amazing!! They have many various cuts and parts of beef that is so delicious and fresh. For example, I had beef utter for the first time. In case if you don't know, that's the breast meat of a cow. It was a mouthful of chewy fatty goodness.
