火鍋來之前,先吃泡菜,前菜總共有八碟的泡菜,那八款泡菜分別是辣大白菜、辣蘿蔔粒、辣蘿蔔條、漬莧菜拼漬芽菜、韓式炒粉絲、鹹魚仔、漬西蘭花及泡菜蛋餅,每碟的份量適中,以兩個人來說,真的是很夠吃的了。

辣大白菜一直都是我最愛的一款泡菜,基本上我其實可以淨吃此種泡菜加白飯,就可當一餐的了,今天吃到的,那大白菜是爽口冰涼的,吃起來又不老不多渣,辣椒粉夠足,辣味及酸味平衡得很好,怪不得KC兄也盛讚此處的泡菜;另外的辣蘿蔔粒有三粒,顏色也是非常鮮紅,所以吃起來也是很有辣椒粉的味道,非常對版好吃;至於辣蘿蔔條的質感基本和蘿蔔粒的一樣,可是不知何解,蘿蔔條的顏色明顯地沒有蘿蔔粒的鮮紅,吃起來辣椒粉味道不足,吃了數條已經收手了;漬莧菜及漬芽菜夠清也同樣夠冷爽口,混有一點麻油香又是不錯。

韓式炒粉絲也是一貫粗身而不煙韌的韓式粉絲,味道夠而油潤感剛好,着實不差;而鹹魚仔的鹹味爆哂燈,鹹度過盛而香度不太強,真的很難教人空口吃;漬西蘭花灼得軟腍,味道還可以;至於泡菜蛋餅是一早煎好了的,所以數小塊也是冰冰冷冷的,吃起來沒可能有雞蛋香了吧,加上泡菜粒、豬肉及蔥段也是其少,究竟是我誤認了它是泡菜蛋餅?還是真的那麼差呢?

吃着前菜已是興奮,等了一會兒,先上了一個紅紅的湯底,另外送上一碟配料及一碟麵條,湯滾着滾着,蒸氣攻到我和女友的面上,在冬日實是享受,當我們開動吃之後,吃至中途,店員問我們覺得辣嗎?因為店員說她們在廚房加辣的時候,已經覺得是很辣的了,但我給她的答案是:「也不太辣吧。」不知道店員會否覺得我在裝酷了,但其實我真的覺得一點也不辣,而女友也辣到吃得很慢,其實也估計到有此情形,所以才在點菜時吩咐加少辣,但現在真的難為她了。

說回這個鍋,除了火鍋配料的肥牛肉、金菇、平菇及麵條,其實湯底內已經有不少的板豆腐、大白菜、大蒜、蔥段、韮菜及韓式年糕,湯味道比較平面化的辣,是沒有香味的辣,所以後來加了辣漬大白菜﹝即最普遍的那款泡菜﹞在湯內同吃,從我碗內的湯如此深紅色可知,是經過了這樣的加工,有了辣泡菜的味道,多了一分酸味,而且沒有被強烈煮過的泡菜,吃起來很爽口,與鍋內滾至軟腍腍的相映成趣,帶來兩種的口感,美味!

另外的配料如板豆腐及韓式年糕也是不錯,板豆腐質感上是較嚡,但畢竟不是用來蒸的豆腐,而是要在滾湯中不斷滾的豆腐,用上硬一點的板豆腐是可以理解的,加上豆腐在辣湯中,仍吃得到有不俗的豆味,也滿意的了,而韓式年糕沒有上海式的那麼煙韌,但比較黏糯,吃起來更有米香。

牛肉是機切的肥牛肉,從何入口就不得而知了,但也是灼了一會兒,已經可以放到口中吃,肥牛肉的脂肪分佈得不均勻,油香不太夠,但想不到肥牛肉不但沒有雪味,而且更是有挺濃的牛肉味,有輕微的牛羶;而金菇及平菇各有特式,金菇較煙韌有咬勁,另外的平菇較爽口而又有菇類的草青味,但兩者伴着牛肉同吃,也是非常合適的。

最後的也說說麵條,麵條比較像北方人吃的麵條,麵條粗身而又不太彈牙煙韌,嚼勁確是有的,但其實北方人吃麵也是為了飽肚吧,所以沉重的麵條吃起來很有份量,在個人獨吃泡菜牛肉濃湯麵四至五碗後,再吃店家送的鮮橙,真的飽得跑不動了,但其實又很滿足。

值得一讚的是服務員雖然好像是要收工的了,但我們吃至十一時多,店員也沒有吹促過我們走;加上吃過了八款泡菜後,再要求要多兩碟我最愛吃的辣漬大白菜,店員也是全沒怨言,沒有推辭,服務要加分,所以是夜個人吃了三碟辣漬大白菜,真的很是高興。

這個鍋收三百三十元,看起來好像是挺貴的,但計及免費的泡菜,而且其份量其大,味道又不錯,這個價錢絕對合理。

The manager (guy) had very poor service, he keep on giving his face to you, so you do not need to order and you are full already.I booked the table @730pm and just wait for 5 minutes to get the table.Then the manager just passed the menu to us, then when we decide to order, he just walk around and ask what number you want and he does not have time to wait for you to complete your order and he will go away, so ask him two more to come to our table and finish to order. He gave us very unhappy face

The taste of food are not very good, first they give you the vegetable, then the cold noodle then finally come to the 8 small appetite dishes, (in the middle of the meal), then the bbq meat.
Well the Korean meal always served the appetite dishes at the beginning of the meal but the manager specially served it to us in the middle of the meal. I guess that they are not really care the business at all in this kind of economy,
Advice: If you had not enough "FACES" to see in your office, then you should go there, the manager can definitely satisify you. For myself, if I found out earlier, then I will not even waste my time and money to try at all.

the whole restaurant space is a bit cramped, but still OK-kept (can't say it's really well-kept, just adequate) and quite dimly lit.

first came the banchans with some worth mentioning - jeon (spring onion pancake), steamed broccoli (not a usual banchan). white cabbage kimchi (the common kind) is good - not too sour nor salty nor sweet.

the kalbi tang (daikon soup) was clearer than average with quite a few chunks of daikon. wonder if they used any beef though?

set lunch menu is really impressive with a variety of choices - my favorite item -spicy stir fried seafood - was on the menu, to my pleasant surprise. not all korean eateries serve it. for my self I ordered

spicy stir fried seafood with vegetables ($60): stir fried in a gochujang (korean chili paste) based sauce. they used a good amount of corn syrup - sweetness was just right. it is not as sweet in some restaurants. "seafood" meant mussels, chopped octopus, calamari, and teeny shrimps the size of a $.5 coin. it wasn't too spicy - could use a teeny bit more chili.

Stir fried mushrooms with vegetables ($60): it is "vegetarian" on the menu but it has bulgolgi beef slices in it. Mushrooms used were enoki and oyster mushrooms. a simple non-spicy stir fry.

Portion sizes are quite generous. short-grain rice was served. what is commendable is that the set came with a choice of different teas, a nice Korean touch to the end of the meal.

will come again for a la carte, perhaps a hearty dinner some time. and i recommend it! I think this is een more authentic than the average HK korean restaurant. and prices are very reasonable too.

I have been to 梨花苑 twice this week, so you can tell how good they are. We work in Sheung Wan and this restaurant is hiden on the first floor of one of the buildings in Dex Voeux Road. If my assistant didn't take me there, I would never find it.They do very reasonable set lunch and the 海鮮石頭飯 is the one you must try. Very very good and I think it's HKD98 but its worth it!! I didn't manage to take the photo of the 海鮮石頭飯 as my assistant has started eating it as long as it arrived. We also ordered 牛

We also ordered 牛肋骨 & 人參鷄湯, both were delicious. All the food arrived hot and it comes with rice and starters. It's the best place to be if you have a group of people so you can order different dishes to try.

I will definitely go again and may try to have dinner in the evening. It looks good on the other reviews as well. If you are bored going to Yum Cha all the time, I think this is a place for you to try with your colleagues.

ordered 3 dishes for lunch:
stir fried vermicelli: served hot on a fresh lettuce leaf. vermicelli is quite chewy, not overcooked. good combination of vegetables. had some pork slices in it too, but not a lot.
stone pot seafood rice: sizzling hot. lots of tender chicken and lots of vegetables too. however rice was a bit too soft (too much water when cooked) so it didn't form much of a crust at the bottom.
must praise them that they serve stone pot rice with a whole bottle of doenjang - i used half of it!
we also ordered a seafood casserole -all ingredients were very fresh. broth was refreshing, highly flavorful.
staff is quick, efficient, polite.
portions are good, better than other korean restaurants, i dare say. and they are not measly with ingredients, which is quite a rarity nowadays, especially in HK.

it's a new location too, so the environment is clean and comfortable.
definitely need to come back again!

今晚, 跟幾位朋友來到這間韓國餐廳, 裝修設計很特別。我地叫左過韓燒套餐,大約$350 FOR 2個人, 有一個韓燒,7碟小點及飯及餐飲。價錢尚算合理, 個套餐真係非常有韓FEEL, 韓燒方面真係好正宗,跟我以前來過的韓式餐廳更有韓FEEL, 尢其係牛肋骨, 真係好正。至於小點方面水準都唔錯,泡菜比其他韓式餐館好。我看過MENU, 好似仲有其他更好既選擇, 例如人參雞湯,及都有好幾款精美既韓燒, 我諗我會找機會去多幾次!!!不過都有少少難搵!!!

這是我喜歡的食肆之一, 間中會來. 平日午飯供應的經濟午餐尤其物超所值, 可以高度推介. 每次也見有韓國人或外國人幫襯(近來也有內地人!). 這晚信步而至, 不用訂位.已有論者誇讚過它的前菜, 在此不贅. 通常2人的話會有8小碟, 2人以上則約有9碟, 每款各有特色, 泡菜尤其出色.這次叫了皇牌的大長今套餐, 人頭計每位$180(+10%). 包括芝麻雞(拌以雪梨絲和青瓜絲, 別出心裁); 燒牛肉(大塊肉配以洋蔥, 有點膩); 蔘雞湯一人一盅(內有半只小雞, 湯汁極香濃, 有米氣); 餃子; 海鮮石頭飯(很香口, 蝦肉尤嫩, 可惜不夠辣)和餐飲(選了柚子蜜, 自家沖製, 非一般貨色可比). 另外附送水果和口香糖, 可見細心.環境不算理想, 因為樓底矮, 感覺侷促, 有點擠迫, 而且其他食客以燒烤為主, 該處又無抽油煙機, 故一頓飯下來給油煙燻得一身都是, 也令桌椅好像有油油的一層膜似的.

和友人到這裡好好享受了一餐,談天說地.整個晚餐亨用了約兩至三小時.點了二人餐,但自己不想花時間燒於是就勞煩師傅為我們烹調呢!二人餐同樣包括了豬牛雞,前菜,飯和湯.員工服務一流.當日應該要訂枱但幸好他們盡量安排呢!所以不久就有枱了!
