The Stone Pot Rice did not disappoint us as well, it smelt so good and I liked the crispy burnt rice on the sides and bottom of the pot; crunchy but not sticky at all. Overall a well recommended restaurant if you’re craving for some traditional Korean food!!

The Stone Pot Rice did not disappoint us as well, it smelt so good and I liked the crispy burnt rice on the sides and bottom of the pot; crunchy but not sticky at all.

今日同個女仔朋友食飯,佢要求十分高,除左食物質素,環境同服務都好重要,所以我都無主意,所以決定由佢揀,之後就食左韓國野喇,佢揀得應該都唔錯。今次得兩個人去,佢就訂左枱,果然準備大足,讚!不過兩個人佢竟然比窗邊四人枱,唔錯唔錯,有幾私人既感覺,幾鍾意,就算韓燒都唔驚會吸到成件衫好大陣味,當然係佢發板叫左三樣野炒年糕有d甜幾好味,岩哂口味喇,不過就真係甜左少少既,另外佢個牛肋骨好香好入味,又唔會太硬,d配菜都好好食好足料,好味道,個餃子湯幾好味,我覺得,不過女友人話咸左少少,但都可以接受,成個感覺好舒服,好私人,但佢地又唔會照顧唔到你,非常之好既服務。

以前在美國住的地方距離韓國街很近,所以經常會到那邊吃韓國菜。因為是由韓國人親自經營的韓國餐廳,水準很穩陣。Tofu Soup,Bibimbap 一點都不陌生,但是回到香港,不知道香港的韓國菜水準又如何呢?因為大概3點左右,店員們就下場休息。看過餐牌後,跟兩位同事各自點了套餐,打算share吃。晚市會有韓式燒烤,而午市則有經濟套餐。先送上的是柚子蜜,味道淡到像水一樣,我懷疑他加入柚子蜜的匙數是否跟那個細匙一樣小!!另外再送湯各一碗,加入紅蘿蔔,很清淡,沒有什麼特別,反而這種清淡與韓式著名的辣和泡菜很大的對比。不久送上八碟的韓式小食,分別有:(上)蕃薯塊、菠菜、煎餅、辣蘿蔔絲(上)、(下)泡菜、韓國粉絲、豆芽和西蘭花。鐵板牛肉:配上白飯一碗, 鐵板上放有牛肉和蛋,牛肉好有嚼口,而且似是預先醃過的,所以拌飯吃最合適不過了,但是略嫌醃的時間不太夠,所以味道略淡,但仍是惹味的。在香港的韓國菜已經算是不錯了。炒年糕:外型像腸粉,但口感跟腸粉不同,很煙膩的質感,吃到去內層時有丁點硬,加上少辣的韓式醬汁,味道不錯,可惜待得太久後年糕的內層會愈來愈硬,後來有些不想再吃的感覺了。bibimbap什錦拌飯:

bibimbap什錦拌飯:混著菠菜,紫菜,豆芽,紅蘿蔔絲,牛肉和蛋,加入韓式醬汁,好有韓國風味。很惹味!飯很柔軟,再混合著以上的配料和醬汁,令人忍不住要吃多兩啖飯。

對我們三個女生來說,實在是很豐富的一餐!好味的不在話下,而且以各人$80的價錢能令我們飽到晚上,確實份量很足。要貶的可能是飲品,真的淡而無味;另外的就是餐具的清潔,杯子上仍有少許污漬,有點髒,可能要用清潔方面要多注意一點;再者的是員工服務態度,我們一到餐廳的時候,店員只是望著我們,又不問我們幾位,反而我們主動告訴他們幾位,問他們我們應坐哪,這餐午飯除了在遞上菜時會見到店員,其餘時間他們都躲在一角(可能是收工了吧!) 不過算是一個不錯的午飯吧!

We ordered 2 dinner sets (for 4 ppl each) which included a lot of food. 

Appetisers
There were 8 dishes and I liked most of them, particularly the pancake, glass noodles and spinach. 
Ginseng Chicken Soup
It has the usual chicken and rice in the soup, although I could not find any ginseng in my bowl.  It tasted quite refreshing, without being too heavy or oily.
Assorted BBQ meat (beef, pork, chicken, cattle fish)
We did our own BBQ on the stove which was fun.  My favourite part was actually the salad box of lettuce, herb leave and cucumber (plus chili and garlic which I didn't try).  The salad went perfectly with the beef (with dipping sauce) wrapped inside.
 After tasting the beef the others were just ordinary.  Found the pork and the cuttlefish fish a bit too heavily marinated. 
Stone pot rice
Only tried a small portion - it was a bit dried and bland by itself, but went well with the BBQ dishes.
Dessert and tea/coffee
We asked the waiter if the set included dessert and he told us that Koreans only like to eat fruits for dessert (really? 
) and he served us oranges.  The same waiter also took our drink orders - he said we can choose from a few different types of tea (ginseng, yuzu, ginger) and said the usual tea/ coffee.  But when my friend ordered milk tea he said it was not available 
.  Anyway I had the yuzu tea which was ok (with not much yuzu in it).

Other Info. : We brougt in a cake to celebrate a birthday. There was no cake charge but the restaurant provided us with plates and dessert spoons which was nice of them.

跟著在湯底打撈出來的是樣子趣怪的食材,細心觀看和細味後,發現原來是豬腸包紥著韓國粉絲,豬腸置於中央部位,粉絲從前後兩端露了出來。粉絲被熱湯浸軟後,形成爽滑如雪耳的口感,豬腸是薄薄的,帶點煙韌,兩者加起來,口感頗為特別!

午市過後,梨花苑回復平靜。 這麼多年來,韓國從一個大家不太認識的國家,漸漸地受到大家接納與歡迎,發展至躍升國際舞台,現在大家都在趕韓潮、吃韓菜、學韓語、看韓劇等,變化真是很大!

梨花苑這位韓菜的老大哥,似乎還是深受上環打工仔的愛戴,我想其多樣化的午餐選擇,確能迎合不同人的口味。不過現時香港的韓國餐廳多了,相比之下,以老大哥的份量,相信更有資格做到比其他新進的韓國餐廳更好,成為更硬實的韓菜老大哥。

端午節好多鋪頭都早收或者冇開,所以去到上環站時見梨花苑有開就去食。叫左個煎泡菜餃,一百蚊九件。但是太難食,肉係冇味,泡菜味又冇,個皮穿哂窿。好啦,到牛肋骨煲。成百七蚊。個牛肋似瘦肉多個牛肋骨,個汁底太咸,又唔夾牛肋骨。石頭窩飯冇飯焦都算,d肉同飯都係微暖,肉冇味,食落去完全冇肉味之餘,仲要得個辣字(因為個辣醬)唯一不錯的只是前菜既泡菜(酸辣適中)

There wasn't anyone waiting so we got to sit right away. Staff were little stiff since I didn't speak Cantonese but luckily my wife does so they loosened up a bit.We got the set menu that included ribs, chicken, stone pot bibim-bap, and soup. Restaurants are dime a dozen and good ones stand out because of excellent service or great food. Restaurants are dime a dozen and good ones stand out because of excellent service or great food. First impression certainly makes lasting impact and I'd have to say I'll never visit this place again not because of bad food but because of utterly poor service.

Customer Service 101 - ALWAYS ACKNOLEDGE YOUR CUSTOMERS!

We show up and there are few groups ahead waiting for tables. There was nobody at the front and so I figured that the host must be busy and will be right back. Several waiters and waitresses scurry back and forth but nobody greets or acknowledges that we are there. A lady who looks to be the owner of the place scurries but does not notice that there are several groups waiting. The host finally shows up after 15 minutes and when I tried to get his attention, he disappears and never to be seen again.

I've been to many Korean restaurants and this is the first one ever that I got snubbed.

一行四人到梨花苑食 lunch, 點了四個 lunch set 包括炸醬麵, 鐵板燒牛肉, 炒粉絲及石煱飯。Set lunch 大約 $70-80 per head, 此價錢於中上環還算可以, 但食物質素十分一般~ 還以為炸醬麵比較出名, 但味道跟韓國的還差很遠。其實都只是set lunch, 要求已不會太高, 但此店的服務態度差勁,我們的 lunch set 還未食完就被收走, 原因是下一位訂枱的客人已到, 此等服務質素, 連茶餐廳都不如! 中上環還有其他韓國美食,相信下次要食韓國菜, 我們也不會再到此店受氣。

今日同事介紹了這間梨花苑食它的Lunch Set, 但位置不多, 要打去book位呢.,,否則lunch 12點去都沒有位! 由於去到剛好在清理位置, 所以店員先叫我們看看餐牌再落單, 這樣等候的時間相對會較短。最後選了鐵板燒牛肉配凍檸茶 $75呢~看樣子好似很不錯...店員先上了9小碟的韓國小食, 當中辣蘿蔔和泡菜是我最喜歡的!先上凍檸茶..這杯飲品真的有夠細.......而且只得一片檸檬,真是名乎其實的飲糖水呢 叫鐵板餐的, 也另附上一碗湯水..不過我就決定放棄, 免得愈飲愈飽!不久後送上鐵板牛肉配白飯一碗, 牛肉看似是炒過的, 不過質感有點點硬,雖然不算是什麼靚牛肉, 但由於滿惹味的關係, 很快便把它掃光!吃飽後再和同事閒聊一番, 嘻嘻哈哈的又一個開心的中午!

叫鐵板餐的, 也另附上一碗湯水..不過我就決定放棄, 免得愈飲愈飽!
不久後送上鐵板牛肉配白飯一碗, 牛肉看似是炒過的, 不過質感有點點硬,
雖然不算是什麼靚牛肉, 但由於滿惹味的關係, 很快便把它掃光!

說起韓劇,以吃為題材的還真不少,之前有我倆都喜歡的<意麵情迷>,最近則有以韓國傳統泡菜為主題的<發酵家族>。點完菜以後,泡菜就來了 - 還有她的七位朋友。這個陣容,比想像中的要大!
然而嚐完這八款後,沒有一款令我留下深刻印象。
特別是泡菜:我原以為每間韓國菜館,都會醃製有自己特色的來奉客,但到頭來還是跟市面買到的沒兩樣。
泡菜可以,但旁邊的煎餅,有點乾和硬;也許熱食較適合

前菜進攻過後,首個上陣的主將是炒雜菜。端上來時,我倆都有個疑問:這「韓」在哪裡?像是酒樓的出品啊。但一吃,發覺弄得比酒樓的好吃。
有鑊氣而不過油,令素菜不寡卻同時保持其清爽:最好吃的是那白玉菇(台灣稱為雪白菇,日本則是ブナピー)。
不管「國籍」,總之好食!

豬魚蝦雞同殺到!

蔬菜打底後,重口味的來了。打頭陣的麵豉醬豬肉,以鐵板盛載,熱騰騰的飄著麵豉香。肉的色澤跟燒烤豬肉看來沒分別,一入口便發覺肉質已滲透了麵豉味,適中而不過濃過鹹,鐵板令它更為惹味。

然後煎魚餃子上桌了;看其煎至金黃色的表面,想必是又香又脆了。怎料帶來了失望:餃子皮吃下去帶些「粉」,感覺不夠俐落,而裡面的餡料並不豐滿,只有幾片看起來乾乾的魚肉(太乾了,吃起來其實分不出是甚麼肉),淡而無味。這餐有變數?!

再來是海鮮石頭飯:說是「海鮮」,其實只有蝦仁(嘩,跟餐牌的差太遠了!)。若不是叫停想馬上撈勻的侍應,根本看不清其本來面目。份量不多,只有三小碗左右;材料變化又少,辣醬又不夠惹味。叫人失望的一味菜!

壓軸的,當然是鼎鼎大名的參雞湯侍應說幫我們分,我連原來長甚麼樣子也看不到;上桌的就是兩碗裝不滿的湯。參雞湯原來有加米去煮,這是我孤陋寡聞;但明明看見人參在湯中,卻喝不出參味,才是真正令我訝異的。煲完湯的雞肉不會滑,但至少會期望濃郁的鮮味跑進了湯裡。這當然也是失落了。

「選台」的重要

吃飽離席,心裡為這頓飯的性價比頗有不平。同伴說,那感受就像看弱台的韓劇:同是韓劇,就是覺得不及人家的好看!我不禁佩服,她在這種體驗後,仍能想出如此貼切的比方。
街上,那群韓國年青人高興地互道晚安:是為吃過的飯喝采,還是歡慶著大家在本國以外維繫著的友情?
