最後一道上枱的是無骨海南雞飯,賣相亦落足心思,兩根菜心各放在海南雞的兩側,彷彿兩行士兵正在列隊歡迎什麼政要一樣。首先我吃了一啖油飯,入口便想起當年中學坐我前面的David仔,數天沒洗頭的頭油覆蓋著每一根髮絲;第一眼看起來也沒有什麼大問題,但愈看便愈有衝動勸佢不如早退返屋企洗頭吧。

接著便吃件海南雞,嗯,口感不俗,滑而不韌,雞味也是有的,但不是特別出色。再蘸了一些「是拉差醬」,給我的感覺是,就如哈爾濱人在當地零下20度時只需要著一件普通羽絨,但我卻要著Columbia Omni-Heat三合一連fleece的防風防水大衣,而且要再著羽絨打底,不但顯得格格不入,更散發出一陣老尷。

然後我試它的豉油汁,這豉油汁本身是比較濃稠,所以盡數黏在白肉上。入口後,挽回了我對這個飯的感覺;這豉油汁帶甜,其甜味中和了雞皮的油膩,亦提起了海南雞的雞味,無疑成為了這個飯的MVP。

一進入餐廳,發現人不多,環境清靜,但人有時真係好茅盾,餐廳人少又怕佢執粒,人多又怕嘈!好了,坐在car位上,事應立刻點著枱上的洋爉,十分有氣氛,我的朋友很快也到達了,我們決定點了兩客餐廳的招牌菜,威靈頓66晚餐,餐湯濃淡適中,加了點黑糊椒,更加野味開胃,到了主菜威靈頓66,是用蘇皮包著牛肉和鵝肝等上價材料焗製,蘇皮滲有肉味,而牛肉鵝肝又不覺肥膩,果然是招牌菜!甜品有紅豆和豆腐雪糕,份量剛剛好!整體而言,餐廳環境和食物質素我都十分滿意,事應的態度和對食物的了解程度也十分之好,價格亦合理在我預期之內,我給這餐廳有九十五分!讚👍

最後來到甜品環節,火焰焗雪山($108)極具視覺效果,因為店員會在客人面前即席點火,就像表演一般,大家都不忘拿起相機拍照。成品表面的蛋白烤得微微帶焦,裏面是綿軟的蛋糕及兩球冰凍的雪糕。個人認為酒精味稍重,雄霸了整道菜式。不過無可否認,這道甜品是頗特別的。

Now to the new VEGAN stars of Loyal Dining, the Beyond Meat burger!!!
There are three burgers to choose from: Original, Sichuan or Scallion Oil.
It was really difficult to pick a favourite as both were so good but different.
The Sichuan one had the Sichuan flare to it but it was a bit too salty.

Beef Wellington 66 is the signature dish here and one of my classic faves because it is British!
Here they use quality beef and the puff pastry is good.
The 66 signifies Loyal Dining's old address at 66 Wellington Street before they moved!
I miss that location as I used to go there for dimsum and went there with friends from UK.

趁小食未上,先點飲料。被這兩杯鴛鴦奶茶紅豆冰 ($48)  及飄流幻境 ($48) 吸引,飲品一開為二,造型非常搞鬼,一於同好姊妹一人一杯。奶茶香甜幼滑,而紅豆冰亦很有水準,紅豆夠大粒,有少量更熬至起沙,入口啖啖紅豆香,加上順滑濃郁的淡奶,簡直是絕配。至於友人所選的飄流幻境,其實是鮮果蜜桃茶及巨峰提子梳打,據說兩款飲品,味道亦不俗,非常清新,入口透心涼。

一場嚟到,無理由唔食埋甜品先走,梳乎厘是餐廳名物,當然要一試。來佬梳乎厘 ($98) 有原味及阿華田兩款,選了後者,梳乎厘用蛋白、砂糖、牛油、吉士和阿華田等打起製成,外形十分挺身,入口鬆軟,甜品控必點。

這餐廳無論喺服務和食物質素,都可以拿到上佳分數,加上店內的陳設,懷舊味十足,如果大家都想一嚐結合本港歷史色彩的正宗港式美食,這裡絕對是不二之選。

當打開煲蓋時,臘味的香氣四溢,配合特別提煉過的豉油,那股香氣的確令人陶醉。細味一下臘味,品質當然沒有家裡買的好,但都有不錯的水準。臘腸與潤腸有酒香之餘,熱力令臘肉及雙腸流下甘香的油脂,與及油鴨肶的咸香都滲進顆粒分明的飯內時,滋味一發不可收拾。

同時,也點了另外一款【蟲草花北菇滑雞臘腸煲仔飯】。此款式與臘味有著不一樣的美味,沒有臘味的甘香油份,可是雞油令整煲味道變得精彩,加上香噴噴的北菇及嫩滑的雞肉,是與別不同的享受。除此之外,吃至尾聲,輕輕一挖,煲底的飯焦輕易挖出,香脆可口,占苗深深愛上了這個味道。

只吃煲仔飯,的確有點不夠喉,於是點來了【來佬汁乳鴿】來增加趣味。賣相精緻之餘,味道真是一流,來佬汁略帶香甜,乳鴿滷得入味,肉質卻依然幼嫩,好吃到不得了。

同時,還有一位朋友要吃【威靈頓牛柳】,於是為他點上。這道經典的菜式相當精緻,在鬆脆的酥皮內,是鮮嫩多汁的牛柳,可是要將牛柳、蘑菇蓉及酥皮三種折然不同口感的食材拼在一起,而且味道也要調和,是相當考技巧的。這兒做得可能熟了一點點,可是味道卻很好,中間的蘑菇蓉既乾身,味道又香濃,賣相已勝於一切,不錯的。
