And we found a hair in one of the dishes. The salad was drenched in sauce, taking away any hint of freshness of the vegetable. When we complained to the staff, no apology was offered.

今天專程到高街尋找美食,在眾多的餐廳之中,選擇了這間精緻的法國餐廳。坐在餐廳一角,可以看到法藉廚師在開放式廚房準備食物,接過餐牌,午市套餐只有四個選擇,有牛、雞、魚和一個素食。午餐可以選擇沙律或餐湯,主食選擇了牛扒配一個層層疊薯,牛扒是medium rare, 肉質幼嫰,配了一個紅酒醋乾葱醬汁,微酸加上乾葱頭的甜,令牛扒不致太膩,特別一提是那個層層疊薯,是一片一片薄薄的薯仔片疊成再焗,完全是手工心機配菜。另加$10,可以選飲品或甜品,我選擇了蘋果撻,撻皮是酥皮再放上薄片蘋果焗,放上忌廉一起吃,不太甜。

Snails in Garlic Butter (HKD 88)

Bread basket was brought over once we ordered but the bread was rock hard. The snails were a let-down. I was envisioning the ones still in the shell, instead they were out of their shell, submerged in a butter seasoning. I found the seasoning not rich enough. The foie gras was so so, chutney that came with it was normal thai chilli sauce but I like how it cuts the richness of the foie gras. The bread that came with the foie gras was plain white toast, I would personally prefer something fancier.

Of all the three entrees, I like the salmon tartar the most. Flavours mixed together well, but I did think there could be a bit more salmon inside.

To my surprise, the lamb chop was cooked perfectly. We went for medium rare and it was just right. The portion was quite generous with three chops. The presentation with a wilted herb stem was not a good look.

Chocolate Fondant w/ Vanilla Ice Cream (HKD 68)

We were quite full after the entrees and main, but my friend wanted to try their chocolate fondant. As expected, the gooey rich chocolate center oozed out once cut and it’s not overly sweet. On the other hand, the vanilla ice cream was too sweet to have it on its own. The combination of warm and cold was good tho.

With a bottle of wine, the total bill came around HKD 900. I don’t think I will return any time soon. With the money we paid, there are many more places I would rather go to. If I were to visit again, I would try more of their mains.

So when we arrived to the restaurant we were greeted by a extremely rude waitress who showed us to our table, but the seating arrangements were very poor. Our table was very close to 2 other tables which made it very difficult to have a nice meal and talk between one another. Every 5 minutes the waitress would constantly ask my other half to move her seat for customers sitting near our table, which got very annoying after a while. I asked if we could move tables as I could see others were free which to the waitress said "no they are already reserved".

So poor seating arrangements to the side. We ordered the foie gras as a starter to share and had the sole fillet with asparagus and seabass with creamy potatoes as the main courses. We also had 2 glasses of white wine aswell.

The foie gras was fair for the starter. It was foie gras in a pate, which is okay but I prefer it to be cooked. The main courses were well presented but very small portions as I was still hungry at the end of the dinner and wasn't prepared to try dessert.. Also the white wine was very warm it seemed like it was not put in the fridge for very long.

For everything in total was HK$900 and I don't think I would recommend Metropolitain or go there ever again. I would have rather spent HK$900 elsewhere.
Overall poor seating arrangements and poor service that made the dinner not worth while.

蟹肉牛油果沙律係必叫前菜!本身以為係好普通既沙津菜加蟹肉,點知係蟹肉他他@@他他有三層,蕃茄醬,牛油果,蟹肉!蟹肉好多啊!而且好鮮。雖然我個人唔鍾意食牛油果,因為覺得為生果佢過於油膩,但廚師控制個比例令人覺得好清新!不停食都覺得唔肥唔膩
下次黎一定要encore。

除左食物好,環境同服務都令人舒服。客人好多都係外國人,令人尤如置身於歐洲既餐廳。餐廳法國籍老闆落手落腳招呼客人,好友善!但佢應該同朋友飲左啲酒,所以講野好快啊@@!

The chicken came in 2 tin foil bags, and the potatoes came in a box. I was a bit speechless when I saw how small the portion was.
The chicken was quite tough; the juices from the chicken had dried up quite completely, and I think that the flavours were not strong enough. I would have preferred more herbs. Also,  the chicken was quite greasy.

It was really good and tasty. the presentation is colourful and appetizing.
In this plate you can savour some Marinated Salmon, some shrimps in a creamy Cocktail sauce, a crab and avocado salad, and the famous salmon tartar. This last recipe is just amazing. We had a chance to chat with the chef and he told me that he put gerkins in it. that what gives this crunchy texture to this wonderful dish!

the flesh of the fish was tender and melting in mouth. It was well seasonned with a buttery and lemon sauce and comes with some boiled potatoes. I had a bit and it was delicious.

just perfect! the cream was cold inside and the sugar topping was hot and crispy. Just the way it has to be.

So to sum up. just perfect in every points: the food, the atmosphere, the service, the presentation.... love it all.

My husband and I went to try this place for brunch todayHe ordered the duck confit and I had the Croque Monsieur (grilled ham and cheese sandwich) with side salad. The duck confit was quite good and side potatos were flavourful However I was not so keen on my sandwich. The bread was soggy and wasnt grilled to a more crisp finish.
