I have been here 3 times and I will continue visiting them. The foods here are authentic, maybe because it is too authentic, it might not suit the taste of Hongkongers a lot. The environment is clean and neat, the staff here deligent. The foods here a little bit expensive, I am very surprised the drinks in lunch/dinner set cannot be upgraded to Indian style drinks such as lassi and masala tea. This is not very acceptable for me.

The best foods for me are ox tongue curry and naan.  Masala tea is great but too expensive. It is sweet milk tea with spices(pictures below).

Ox tongue I tried two times there, first time it was very chewy, second time it was very tender. I love both the texture and it tastes perfect with the curry with a lot of onion and lovely spices.

The naan here is excellent. I tried the freshest naan there during lunch, freshly baked, texture is excellent silky tender, just perfect with curry, which is rich in stewed onions or tomatoes(different curry has different veggies as ingredients, making the color of the curry so perfect). Other times the naan were a bit cold.

I also tried cuttlefish curry, veggie curry there. Yummy, a lot of variety, but it seems the quality varies every time I visit them. No matter what, still yummy!

聽著又不無道理,橫豎無著落,就去試下他的誠意吧。

若非靠該店的店員指路,鋪頭其實是有點兒難找。

吃到一半,唔食辣的Alfred已經要叫一支大青島($28)來中和辣味
也許男人之間就是要啤一啤來維繫友誼

靠著這支啤酒,最後我們也不浪費,把檯上的東西全清光,小二!埋單。
我們離店後一路走著,差不多到MTR時又遇上老闆在叫賣
「旺角隔離!旺角隔離!」我們相視而笑
或許誠意,在現代化的香港還是不管用
嘴饞的香港人還是愛一副臭臉的去吃一副臭臉的好東西,哈哈!

總結:
店員有禮手腳快,可惜遇上聾耳陳,要叫多幾次先聽到Order。
老實講,說正宗我不敢挑戰真否,但比起我吃過其他地方的印度菜
這其實還真的像普通打印度菜旗號的店
因為我吃不到印度菜中應有的香料
或者是成本問題,但若因此而摒棄了,就不應打上正宗的稱號了
因為香港人對食,對「正宗」這個名詞還真的是很敏感
一失手就被標上喊臉的啊!
Other Info. : 嗜食小建議: 如果純綷想湊熱鬧,去食誠意 建議各位只係叫佢地提供的Set Menu就可以了 因為散叫平均餐點都要$60UP以上 而Set就$140UP兩位份量起 但我相信散叫的餐會比Set好食一點點,且也大份量一點 值唔值得去食?見人見智了。

經常在十字街口聽到有印度人大聲宣傳。今次又去西洋菜南街覓食,就去久仰大名又看似很多人就餐的旺角咖哩嘗鮮。店內有很多人,要與人搭枱。店主一早把餐具放好,但我們坐下之後,他竟然把泛黃的餐單隨意放在碟上,令人不禁質疑其衛生。看到旁邊很多人的餸菜都差不多,而菜單的菜式又好到令人眼花,而且隨意叫了一個二人套餐。$162有兩杯汽水,一碟烤雞,兩種咖哩,一碟飯及兩塊薄餅。烤雞一共只有四塊,應該是由人數制定。碟子一放上來就有一股「燒濃野」味,檸檬直接放在鐵板上,令檸檬熱哂。味道偏辣,肉質結實,算是中上之作。咖哩點了雞肉及牛肉,味道不錯,不算太辣,但比普通咖哩好吃。 薄餅又脆又香,就咁食比配合咖哩更好。 飯有飯味!香!汽水小小一杯又應該加過水,淡淡的。總括而言,味道算是中上,算是我吃得不多的咖哩中十分好吃的一餐。

$162有兩杯汽水,一碟烤雞,兩種咖哩,一碟飯及兩塊薄餅。

烤雞一共只有四塊,應該是由人數制定。碟子一放上來就有一股「燒濃野」味,檸檬直接放在鐵板上,令檸檬熱哂。味道偏辣,肉質結實,算是中上之作。

咖哩點了雞肉及牛肉,味道不錯,不算太辣,但比普通咖哩好吃。

 薄餅又脆又香,就咁食比配合咖哩更好。


 飯有飯味!香!

汽水小小一杯又應該加過水,淡淡的。

With this thought in mind, I meandered in for lunch. Lamb curry set at $60, <gulp> 60? OK lets have it, even though the place was empty, but hey! I'm game for adventure.

As it turned out, it was the usual fare. Boiled meat retrieved from a pot and covered in generic brown curry sauce. Order your meat, the curry will cover the taste. Only, the meat is so miniscule that you'd have trouble for it not to fall between your fork prongs. There were 4 small pieces in the bowl. The rice that came with it was actually to my liking. It was miniature. OK, so they're helping me with my diet.

For the price, I was very disappointed with what I got. There is something at work here. They are not promoting their heritage for excellent cuisine.

Modus Operandi
I can only think that being on the ladies street market, they are targeting tourists who for some unknown reason would want to eat indian curry in Hong Kong, the gastronomical capital of the world. One visit, one meal and that would be it, never to return.

Given the number of tourists in Mongkok, I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to survive or even thrive.

先來的是印度香料烤雞, Chicken Tikka, 熱烘烘的鐵板上, 滴入點點檸檬汁, 香味揮發, 很是風味! 吃下雞肉軟稔, 但不夠滑。香料味重, 而且過於鹹。再吃, 香料承接不夠, 流於表面。

接下來是兩款咖哩。點的是牛脷跟羊肉。咖哩底是一樣的, 綜觀來說是不合格的。咖哩香味不夠, 香料味欠奉, 連辣味都沒有, 仿似在咖原來的咖哩上加上水同煮一樣。羊肉有羊羶香, 多點蕃茄; 牛脷軟稔但一點味都沒有。連配上的白飯都不是用Indica的長窄香米去做, 只是普通我白飯而已。這兩個咖哩, 失望。

薄餅脆, 不過乾得很, 幾乎沒有了麵粉的感覺。差。

整體來說, 這餐廳絕對不合格, 問題不在手藝上, 而是根本餐廳老闆計縮數計得太盡。沒給好料, 得過且過, 借頭借路, 不是做老實生意的行為。

每天都經過,第二次幫襯同朋友點了一個牛套餐一個蝦套餐第二次光顧,咖喱味極淡,1.落單前已說明要大辣,都食唔出辣味愛辣人士都係去佢地佐敦店吧2.個餐包薄荷餅的第一次去,食晒檯面的東西,最後問佢個湯同餅最尾甜品黎?佢至會拎比你第二次去,湯就到了,但我叫買單最後都係無左個薄荷餅,今次我無追了,試下佢係咪真係唔會出,點知真係無左!所以只好用返第一次去拍下的薄荷餅相片。
