有些少失望,吃下去質感一般,並不是傳說中,咁令人(至少
羅拔迪 尼路曾有此言)回味無窮,可能放久了才上桌,
本來熱食的變成涼菜,因此有丁點兒腥味.
其餘兩道菜,水準一般,沒有太大的驚喜。
到此見肚皮仍然有空間,叫了他們的特色甜品

甜品好渦心地用小盒子上,色彩繽紛,收視覺效果,而亦能做出
日本餐對甜品的一貫作風,味道與質感,跟視覺成正比例,十分讚嘆,
為我們此行畫上完美的句號。
不可不提他們的侍應十分之有禮貌,笑容滿臉,每一道菜也問你
的滿意度,就連上洗手間也親自帶領至門口 (註:因餐廳寬大,
而洗手間又設於長廊盡頭隱蔽的地方)
什至埋單時特意提醒我們有沒有花旗銀行信用卡,如用此咭結賬
可有九折優惠,如此一來替我們省去二佰多元,多了一個意外
的收穫。

Our comments to the foods are as follows:

Steamed Seabass with Miso 定食
The seabass was 滑,鮮,不腥.
However, the 豆腐 inside the miso soup was sour (not fresh). I was surprised it happened in such a famous restaurant. I told the manager and he seemed didn't believe. After checked with the cooks, he replaced the miso soup for me.

Nobu Signature lunch box
The fishes are fresh. The lunch box contained plent of foods. In fact, the waiter told me that many females guests couldn't completely finish lunch box.

We have a enjoyable lunch experience, except for the miso soup matter. The waiters are OK (again, except on the miso soup matter).

For the miso soup matter, I was disappointed. I didn't asked for any compensation. I just wanted to told the fact and prevent other guests from suffering and I should be thanked. Nevertheless, I didn't even hear a word of apology throughout the incident.

頭盤全都係portion 好細嘅,我特別喜歡甜蝦刺身韃靼(相片右前方)、金槍魚腩配柚子麵豉汁(相片右後方)。 甜蝦刺身韃靼面配有魚子,甜蝦刺身清甜、新鮮。 而金槍魚腩配嘅柚子麵豉汁好fresh,好甜美,雖然個金槍魚腩唔算十分肥美,但同個柚子麵豉汁好夾,係個開胃嘅頭盤。

主菜就從6個中選了牛肉陶板燒。 本來鱈魚西京燒應該係主菜嘅不二之選,因為我想多試一些不同嘅食品,所以決定選一樣都係餐廳招牌菜嘅牛肉陶板燒。 牛肉陶板燒是牛肉配上幾款不同嘅菇,上枱時熱辣辣、香噴噴,是色香味俱全之選。 可惜侍應先生上菜時有點大意,陶板上熱熱嘅汁彈到我隻手,令我措手不及。


牛肉在陶板上上枱時大約三成熟,侍應說如果想食熟d 嘅牛肉,就將d 牛肉攤開在陶板上平放。 我當然不喜歡吃太熟嘅牛肉啦,五成熟左右已經好夠。牛肉ok juicy啦,牛味一般,相比好友嘅鱈魚西京燒,我認為鱈魚西京燒正好多、好多!

麵豉湯可算是比較差,對我來說太咸了,我飲咗一半左右就放棄咗。記得之前在鮨福助飲過麵豉湯咸度適中,係可以好好味嘅。

餐廳嘅服務整體講算唔錯,話哂都係五星級酒店內嘅國際知名餐廳。令我最impress 嘅係餐廳好尊重訂枱請客嘅主人家。事緣是,當我還在品嚐我的甜品嘅時候,我嘅好友扮去洗手間打算先結帳,要請吃飯,但餐廳好幫忙,問我的好友是否訂位者,如果不是訂位者,餐廳要詢問一訂位的主人家意願,才可讓賓客結帳。所以,最終,我好友跟我爭比錢嘅計劃是失敗嘅,醒目的餐廳令我可以一盡地主之誼請她吃飯。所以,我比餐廳嘅服務十個讚呀!期待weekdays 再去NOBU 試埋Signature Bento Box 同其他嘢食!

No salmon also. My uncle and aunt got the pick your own bento box and normal bento box respectively. My dad went with a tempura cake rice or something. Mom went with the crab roll lunch. My grandma got the tempura lunch set.
Basically it was a lot of food, and because I only ate my own, I'll only talk about mine. With my set there came 3 slices of tuna sashimi, 2 slices of some white fish sashimi, 2 slices of fatty tuna sashimi. There was a conpoy sushi, shrimp sushi, and 6 pieces of cucumber sushi. It was a good meal. And with the set came a salad and miso soup. I LOVE this place. Although not the BEST Japanese food I have eaten, it is close to the top. The fusion elements are very well used in the food and its awesome. Don't expect prices to be cheap though. We had a VIP card and the meal still cost 2,000 for 10. And we didn't order expensive. Our card gives us 20% off. So the original cost was 2400.

Nobu服務絕對唔駛懷疑,既專業又細心,係其他食肆值得學習嘅地方。三百幾蚊一餐午餐絕對唔係便宜,當然憑松久先生名氣再加埋維港夜景,價錢上Mark-up返都係正常,所以如果未試真正感受日本菜Fusion體驗,真係點都要黎試一次...

Only the second time I've been to Nobu, but both this time and the last, I was thoroughly impressed. There are few who don't already know of the Intercontinental's iconic Nobu restaurant, and it's reputation is well deserved. The restaurant itself consists of a bar that greets you at the entrance, the main dining area, and a small sushi bar with room for 7 or so where the sushi chefs work their magic. The decor is exquisitely tasteful, but the mood given off is warm and inviting, rather than snooty and austere as the minimalistic modern art deco utilized by some high end restaurants are often guilty of. Though only on the first floor, the restaurant boasts an unobstructed view of Central, and if you are fortunate enough to find time to visit at just the right time, you may find yourself dining to the laser show across the skyline.

As with my previous visit, my party ordered the set dinner menu, which consisted of 7 courses revolving primarily around, quite naturally, fish. Having not looked at the menu myself, and given the length of time that has already passed, I could not recount for you exactly what it was I ate, but I assure you that the food had no chance to displease. In particular, the opening appetizer, a tuna tartar topped with black caviar in a salty-sweet wagyu sauce, hit every note, and the pickled plum provided on the side was an excellent sour highlight to cleanse the palate with.

The main dish was a grilled kobe beef ensemble sliced thin and served with radish (sliced even thinner) and a spectacular soy based sauce.

For desert, we were served a banana parfait and a vanilla icecream. Though i struggle to see what was "parfait" about the parfait, a mere conflict of definition is not enough to obscure the fact that the nuts (I am somewhat certain that they used pistachios) used in the parfait were a perfect foil to the sweetness of the banana in the parfait.

To accompany our dinner, we ordered the namesake sake of the restaurant, apparently one which is exclusively made for Nobu itself. Though the schochu was in and of itself excellent, I personally prefer a dryer drink to accompany my food, especially if the predominant flavours are as subtle and elegant as those found in Japanese cuisine.

Though normally one associates Japanese food with sushi or sashimi, our set menu that night did not include a single dish containing either of the two. Though many may feel cheated by that (after all, it IS a Japanese restaurant), I feel that it is a mark of a great restaurant that can showcase all the flavours of Japanese cuisine, not use hackneyed fall-back dish items, and still make you feel satisfied.
