This is the most delicious saikyo yaki i have ever eaten!
Fish is marinated with sweet saikyo miso sauce and grilled perfectly!
Fish is cut into very thick and oily. When you put a small bite into your mouth, you can enjoy the sauce taste at the beginning and it will start to melt in your mouth. Now i understand why this is their signature dish globally! 😍
I wanna come back only for this!

The dishes in Nobu were rich in layers for the presentation, the chef's well planned idea was fully demonstrated throughout the meal. With the stunning Victoria Harbour view, as well as the fresh sashimi, felt like sitting in the top restaurant in Japan! The gradually melting grilled Miyazaki Wagyu and the lobster sashimi, Ise Ebi, were the most impressive dishes I've ever had. The dessert platter at the last definitely was the best ending course ever. Simply put, fresh food, good cook, and excellent service!

另點的a la carte 是松露海膽飯配海苔脆片和燒拖羅刺身。前者甘香脆口,必吃推介;後者油香豐厚,但朋友說之前吃的拖羅刺身更好。

這個 霜降燒金槍魚刺身沙律配洋蔥醬油 Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Dressing 賣相實在不算吸引... 燒吞拿魚質素一般,洋蔥醬油有點太濃(雖然這是 NOBU 特色所在),反而較喜歡底下份量甚多的新鮮沙律菜。

自選熱盤中,同樣有鱈魚西京燒的選項,不過蝦天婦羅就沒有了,改為龍蝦天婦羅配胡椒柚子醬汁選項。而個人認為最吸引是巨大的香煎帆立貝配鴨肝照燒醬,同樣配上好吃日本米飯及味噌湯,份量十足;如果下次再來,也會這樣組合來吃~

這裡的 甜品便當 Sweet Bento Box ($110) 也滿有盛名,不過這天預訂了(謝謝友人幫忙)一磅裝的朱古力蛋糕,加上便當午餐份量很足,所以直接跳到蛋糕了~ 補祝生日快樂啊!

還記得3年前在欣圖軒的生日蛋糕仙級美味、畢生難忘;這天由朱古力慕絲+Brownie 組成的蛋糕不是不好吃,但難免給比下去。而且大家都太飽,所以我小試一口後,決定打包自己那份回家,結果兩兄妹喜歡不得了!以匯豐/渣打白金卡埋單有85折,折後也算合理,希望壽星滿意!

提到洲際的下午茶,一定會先想起大堂的Lobby Lounge,但原來二樓的日式餐廳NOBU也不惶多讓,而且是少見日式與西式的Fusion下午茶。與朋友訂了2:30的時間,不需等候已可直接進入,店內客人亦不多。餐廳裝潢以深色的木為主,窗外亦有開揚海景,光線舒適。我們剛好坐到窗口位,景觀上更漂亮清楚!Tea Set 分兩款: 怡茶敘 ($328 一位/ $528 兩位)  配 綠茶/咖啡/抹茶悅茶敘 ($508 一位/ $808 兩位)  配 香檳不需多想,既然是日式下午茶,配綠茶或抹茶才是王道!最後我們選了牛奶抹茶(左),黑豆乳抹茶(右),可惜是牛奶和豆乳的份量多了?  主體的抹茶味卻淡了,味道嘗算可以登登登登! 過往吃的通常是附上兩件鬆餅,每次都幾乎吃滯,


而這個是每人一件鬆餅+兩小件窩夫,份量上對女士剛剛好!

兩款都是帶鹹味的甜點,海苔雞蛋窩夫+沙律醬,味道配搭好像大阪燒,

外脆內軟的窩夫卻是另一種口感

咸點方面,炸得黃金香脆的南瓜楓栗丸子、像日式章魚丸的章魚飛龍頭味道不錯,但不算太特別。三文魚米餅一脆一軟,米餅甜甜的口感有趣。鱈場蟹湯頁卷和野菜玉子燒是咸點當中最出色的,前者以薄脆的腐皮襯托出蟹肉的鮮甜,後者口感軟潤帶有野菜的鮮甜,都不錯。

甜點方面,抹茶甜餅以輕脆的蛋白糖餅配以甘濃的抹茶醬,味道平衡得很。黑糖和菓子煙靱軟綿,份量太少讓人意猶未盡。黑芝麻馬卡龍做得挺身且有濃濃的芝麻香,一向是最親和的口味。紫玉甜湯用上大熱的紫薯,配上軟綿綿的白玉,是我最喜歡的甜點。

香煎鱸魚,魚肉嫩滑略帶豐腴,配辣味的沙沙汁令人胃口更開,魚味也沒有被搶,看來較濃味的醬汁跟熟魚確實比刺身匹配~

不想吃和牛,估不到來個豬腩肉~

乍見層層肥肉,未吃已覺滯,卻原來肥而不膩,還十分爽口,肉質腍滑,皮燒得焦脆,以味噌汁和辣醬伴吃,既減膩又惹味,是意想不到的好吃~

生日甜品陣式跟上次慶週年差不多,所以驚喜度稍減,但能和至愛的人慶祝生日還是充滿感恩~

在NOBU用餐有信用咭優惠,以其提供的環境服務食物質素來算,折實後價錢性價比甚高,單是這個維港夜景就已值回票價,不過要坐近窗邊就要預早訂位,否則像懶到死的豬遲了就只可坐在路中央~

Repentant I was, that night's dinner duly impressed my gustation.

NOBU is a Japanese fine dining restaurant located at InterContinental Hotel. Dinner session opens at 6 PM  till midnight. Inside was pretty dim, but it encloses a panoramic French sash  of imposing Harbour view, lightening the room with city lights.

Still feeling queasy about set menu, which stuffed me with bellyful food for the last few weeks at French restaurants, I decided to take a look at  a la 

carte menu (NOBU did have set tasting menu for dinner). 

Price for each dish has a range of more or less $200, and the average cost for one is about $250. We in total ordered 10 dishes, sharing among my mom, my sister, and I. 

1st  dish: Toro Tartar with Caviar

This one of the NOBU signature dishes, as expensive as $398. The tuna was immersed  in probably ginger sauce, topped with caviar, and served with a two-ring bowl with the outer filled with ice to keep the taste chill and fresh. The plating was pretty creative and fun. No wonder it is recommended. We ordered 2 toro, one for me, another for sis.

Didn't take photo. Why? Because it smelled so heavenly that everyone just forgot about photos. It was finished in instant. 

9th & 10th dish/Dessert: Round N' Round & Crystal Fruit Pearls
Both dessert costs $148 HKD. Round N' Round is basically frozen cheesecake in a spheric shape, enclosing raspberry soda with Hokkaido Honey. Crystal Fruit Pearls, which was for my sister, consists of surprise fruit spheres and yamamomo granita.  Exquisite gastronomy for both! Especially the cheesecake, impressively served and tastes.

My feeling to take home was largely satisfaction. Though some of the dishes missed expectation, the meal was overall impressive.
Other Info. : Don't trust wagyu. At least not to a Michelin zero-star restaurant. No offence.
