It was second time in two weeks that I chose Prime Steak House, at Elements for our Business Meeting Lunch venue. It was second time in two weeks that I chose Prime Steak House, at Elements for our Business Meeting Lunch venue. The first visit wasn’t negatively eventful which made me decide on a second visit in less than two weeks.



On our second visit for a Business Lunch, I swore I would never visit this restaurant again. Table 41 was reserved for us. Please ask what table you have been allotted and if it’s Table 41 – please do yourself a favour and cancel your reservation. On summer afternoon, Table 41 is an absolute disaster. There is no Air-Conditioning as the sun beats down directly full blast and the table isn’t designed for a Semi Buffet meal without an inconvenience to your other guests at the table. This table is more isolation or to describe it better, “Quarantine”. My request for a table change wasn't received well. In a matter of moments we were totally isolated, had to waive our hands to attract the attention of the servers, had to ask for a bottle of sparkling water to cool ourselves down. We finished our appetizers and no-one had come to even ask about ordering our Main Course. I went down to complain to the Manager dressed in Black about the levels of service we had to endure who then came up himself to take our order.



We were then moved disgustedly to a new table after around 30mins but it was clear, we had upset the staff with this request pretty bad. Their attitude towards our requests, their responses and their behaviour spoke volumes and was deplorable.


We endured all this during our meal but I left with a promise to make sure people should read about this experience as we were disgusted with this episode and to ensure other's are warned and aware of PrimeSteak house and it's evidently pathetic service levels.



Having run up two separate lunch bills of over HKD 2000, this was truly an insulting experience.



One bitten, twice shy - never again...!

最先上來的麵包盒,雖然看上去小小的,但質素頗高,是我吃過的最好的餐前麵包之一。麵包盒剛剛上桌,已經聞到Cheese的香味,不止表面撒了cheese,咬開中間cheese更是豐富,加上butter、salt和garlic的調味,小麵包風味十足,比較其他絕大多數餐廳只是樸素的麵包,這個就顯得熱烈很多,一上來就給味蕾來個小小的衝擊。

Appetizer:
Velvet Crab Bisque: diver scallop, artichoke tempura
蟹肉濃湯確實很有海蟹味,coriander去除海水味,令濃湯更清新;加cream則使濃湯口感更順滑;湯底也確實有蟹肉,算是足料。帶子清甜,我個人比較喜歡不加sauce,吃其原位。tempura是他的最愛,我對煎炸食品也是能免則免,所以此次沒有品嘗,但還是對artichoke這個東方幾乎沒有的食材很有興趣,下次要試一下。

Seared Duck Foie Gras: mango sorbet, sesame wafer
這道菜相信不用太多介紹,只要食菜原料夠好,味道就不會差,肥美香滑,配鬆脆的seasame wafer和mango sorbet,一軟一脆,一濃香一清新,味感層次分明,相互對比又彼此平衡,很棒的搭配。

我點了Wet Aged USDA Tenderlion 6oz: poached short-rib, merlot reduction
對於大塊肉始終有點抗拒,而且我喜歡lamb更多一些。但這個tenderlion真是很不錯,非常tender,真有入口即化的程度,再以merlot入味,肉帶有酒香,味道很好。

Grand Marnier Crmem Brulee: pistachio macaroon
這裡的Crmem Brulee讓人驚喜,我覺得深知好吃過Paul-Lafayet,至少不會他差,更是好過坊間大多數的西餅店。簡單來説,caramel火候恰到好處,夠香甜又不會過焦而發苦味;蛋味香甜,口感夠滑;strawberry, blueberry and blackberry都新鮮多汁,讓整個甜品不會太甜膩。macaroon我倒是沒有吃,但就賣相覺得應該也不錯吧。

Farmhouse Cheese: walnut bread, poached pear
這個cheese plate我覺得不好,倒不是cheese本身的問題,而是搭配和整套餐不和諧。前面從麵包開始,到前菜、主菜,每個都是重口味,味覺已經很重負擔了,此刻的chesse只能是點綴收尾,很難做到再次出擊、再下一城的效果。但縱觀cheese plate裏面,6款cheese幾乎全是重口味的,而且bread和pear的分量與cheese完全失調,加起來配一份cheese還湊合,配6份根本沒可能,剩下的cheese只能空口吃,如果是happy hour加紅酒或許還可以,但算上前面的大餐,真是太難負荷了。感覺這個cheese plate吃力不討好,建議cheese分量減半,選三款質素好一點的,另外多給一些bread和pear,效果應該會好很多。

總的來說,這餐還是非常滿足的,restaurant week給出的價格($438+10%)較平日低一些,最重要食物可口,環境輕鬆舒適,服務亦無不妥,是一次愉悅的晚餐體驗。

一向都好鐘意食apple crumble, 但係香港唔多地方整得好味, 個日去Elements嘅Prime steak house, 發現佢地啲Pear and apple crumble with ginger icecream and candied walnut 好好食,因為味道很和諧,梨和蘋果帶酸,加上肉桂粉跟上面的ginger icecream好夾,crumble super香脆。仲要俾我發現間餐廳同商場合作會送asia miles, 我要日日去食!!!!

原來想試蟹餅, 但又想有點新意, 所以改點tuna carpaccio($138)。 原以為會是一小片的樣子, 誰知是一整個正方形, 薄薄的, 倒像一塊巨型火腿呢! 賣相花過心思, 薯仔和沙律醬都造成圓形, 視覺得到滿足。 魚肉油潤無筋, 十分鮮甜。

即使已很飽, 但胃裡總會有空間放下甜品的。 想來想去還是選了chocolate banana sundae($78) , 有齊朱古力、香蕉和焦糖這些元素, 適合不過了。 朱古力雪和香蕉雪糕各有兩球, 一心以為朱古力味會濃濃的, 怎料幾乎吃不出味, 而且帶點酸, 質感不算滑, 好像豆蓉般帶鞋口; 後者味道真實,十分甜美, 配上脆口的焦糖花生脆糖, 算是挽回一些分數, 不至於是個不完滿的句號。

結賬時一時忘記詢問哪張卡會有有折, 結果回去才發現用citibank卡有九折, 不是想怪罪餐廳沒有跟客人提及, 只是覺得如果可以主動提出, 不是會令人覺得服務細緻貼心嗎?

朋友相約到prime steak house and wine bar吃甜點, 對於扒房一向很難抗拒, 因為愛吃甜點又愛吃牛排, 所以就一起去吃了先有cheese popover, 小小一個暖身, 外酥內有芝士香, 不需塗牛油也已經很好吃了但因為要留肚吃東西, 店員問要不要加添的時候也忍痛說不要了burrata喜歡吃burrata的我點了一份, burrata的中間流心, 芝士美味香滑軟滑的mozzarella cheese吃起來不會溜, 連外邊的皮也不會太硬的說旁邊的配菜跟黑醋配芝士很搭, 是一道好吃的頭盤呢parma ham其實有點過肥, 但我覺得很好吃, 因為油香跟火腿肉香都很突出, 整個頭盤都很好吃14-day wet aged tenderloin我是牛排的門外漢, 只會分生熟, 肉質跟肉味. 看到這個8安士份量較小, 而且是腰內肉, 比較想吃這個選了medium-rare, 滿意的生熟程度. 肉質果然很嫩, 肉味也不像我之前吃到的牛柳般淡味肉味還蠻濃的. 很欣賞他們這個腰內肉外面煎得很香他們附了燒肉汁跟BBQ汁, 但真的不用點什麼也已經很好吃接下來是吃甜點時間, 我們除了雪

不太出色的一款芝士蛋糕, 可能本身我已經不太喜歡吃芝士蛋糕
這款蛋糕的芝士不太香滑, 而且味道亦不突出, 但吃起來覺得有點溜
上面的莓果作用並不大, 因為芝士味道根本就不突出, 不能有太大的對比作用
是旁邊的芒果雪葩有很香很重的芒果味, 不會太酸, 光吃也很不錯

而且加上肉桂粉跟上面的薑味雪糕都很香. 但金寶層佔得太多, 而且不夠香脆
果肉應該要佔多一點但只有很少, 所以整個甜品都沒有預期的好吃

整個mousse都是較硬實, 幸好可可味很甘醇. 但栗子雪糕味道不突出, 個人不是很愛這款

牛奶巧克力雪糕跟香蕉雪葩, 這兩種味道本身就是絕配
香蕉的味道很天然, 跟就這樣吃冰香蕉沒什麼分別. 巧克力味道香濃很好吃
伴上忌廉跟牛油花生焦糖粒, 花生焦糖粒很香, 非常香甜, 整個新地雪糕都很美味呢

整個湯就像中式的那種黑豆煲豬尾的味道, 但加上牛油果味, 一整個很受不了
自己覺得很難喝, 可能不對我的口味吧

那天的餐湯是甘筍湯, 朋友點了這個. 相比之下這個非常好喝!
甘筍的味道香甜, 而且打得很幼滑, 我也忍不住喝了很多口

這家扒房評價我聽過雖是好壞參半, 但我就覺得他們的食物質素不太差
但晚上的東西比白天的好太多了

My wife and I were celebrating our 3rd anniversary, and decided to go to Prime steak house. We got together with a couple friends and head over Elements to satisfy our craving for a juicy steak. When we got there the restaurant looked really full, but the manager assured us that he would get a table for us within 10 to 15 mins, he even bought us a round of drinks since we were celebrating and willing to wait.Right after the 10 mins mark, he came back again , and our table was ready. My wife and I were celebrating our 3rd anniversary, and decided to go to Prime steak house.
We got together with a couple friends and head over Elements to satisfy our craving for a juicy steak. Right after the 10 mins mark, he came back again , and our table was ready. Super nice guy!!

Dinner was fantastic/. Just what we wanted! We shared the Bone-in Ribeye Steak, and it was delicious!
Our server was very friendly and enthusiastic, and the manager stopped by a bunch of times to check on us!
It really was a great experience!! That restaurant is changing a lot, and for the better!!
Good job Prime House, I guess I just found my Prime destination for my especial occasions!!

I recommend it!!!

甜品共有五款,不算太多,把它們清掉沒有難度。先吃Black Forest Fondant with Sour Cherries & Kirsch Ice Cream,$78。把心太軟切開,朱古力漿跟酸莓醬澎湃地流出,蛋糕表面焗得不夠香脆,但好的是還濕潤不乾身,蛋糕再沾滿濃稠的朱古力漿來吃,香濃味甜,夾著酸酸的莓醬,中和甜溜感。而雪糕略帶酒香,冷熱交錯,整體也值一試。

吃過五款甜品,最後還有朱古力,真是甜美的完結。下次也要再來試試牛扒及其他頭盤小吃,亦想白天到來,自然光步透進來下的柔和木色調,相信讓人更舒適。

That was amazing! when leaving the premises, passed by those managers, waitresses, bartenders...no one said even a "bye-bye" but just stared at us...pretty weird and felt like i was barging in in their chitchatting.

Should have just grabbed a burger at 360...at least, didnt have to pay for almost $1,000 for such junk.

I ordered a ‘salmon burger’ – a new dish as they ddin’t have this before. I was extremely disappointed with it. If I had to compare it with BLT burger, it was definitely not a par- nothing like it. Also, the price was also much more at Prime. The salmon was probably a minced salmon, containing some tar tar in it. Not only was it really dry, but it didn’t taste anything like salmon. In addition, there was no additional sauce on the side that was served with it.

Like I said, we’ve been visitng that place at least 6-7 times within the 3 months and every time we arrive, we are greeted with the same waiter. I wouldn’t say she’s impolite, but her facial expression tells us that she’s had a long days at work and the whole world is probably against her.

The place wasn’t even full, but the way the business went, seemed that they were lack of staff. I had to ask a few times for their cheese puffs before it was served to us.

On dinner we ordered 2 salads and steak tartar. The spinach salad was good, however, neither the Caesar's salad nor the tartar were nothing special at all.

The restaurant was perhaps half full.

There were 3 of us, so two of us shared a rib-eye (prime USDA), and the other ordered chicken Milanese.

The steak was ordered medium-rare. It was very good value, however, it was served cold. The chicken was quite tender, however, it was a bit tasteless.

We were told that the restaurant closes at 11 and the kitchen at 10:30 pm. Bit early we thought.

The service was simple. Nothing extravagant, nor something too helpful.

The bill came to $2,000 which included a bottle of red wine ($550), and 6 cocktails prior to dinner.

Not bad, but would have enjoyed a bit more if the steak was at least served warm.

珠玉在前,肉質較瘦的
USDA Select Sirloin 12oz($198)難免有點被比下去,但其實成品一樣燒得好香口吸引,厚身牛扒又是燒得外焦香、內粉嫩迷人,並也有不少的肉汁鎖在內,味道也不錯的,所以又是很快就清光!

雖然舊日擁有濕潤軟心的朱古力souffle已不復供應,但新出的
Chocolate hazelnut crepe souffle($99)卻同樣精彩迷人,成為全日的驚喜之最! 這個最先上檯、大大個呈半月狀的crepe souffle,原理同BLT的熱情果味crepe souffle一樣,都是由外層微脆的crepe,包裹柔軟濕潤的souffle,然而這裡的夾心卻是甜魔更愛的朱古力與榛子口味,當中熱暖香滑的朱古力在口中化開的感受,真是美妙不能言,再襯以外圍帶有榛子粒的cappuccino sauce,感覺美好得不似真的! 真心的必食推介之選!

我愛吃肉, 愛嘗不同餐店好的燒牛肉. 香港現在亦越來越多號稱本店Dry-aged的牛肉, 對這店本有少許期待. 但當去過這次之後, 所有謎團都已解開, 亦了無牽掛的將這店從我的名單中剔除; 後得知原來BLT Steak也是同一集團的, 我相信我最多只會幫襯個中午三文治算了! 聲稱自家Dry Aged的烤牛店吃過幾家, 這家可算是最差的了! 收費卻是中上價錢, 得來的食物質素在低水平, 而服務以中上價來說, 算是不堪!不知是否因位於高收入人士區域, 而對所謂"恰當"收費的意識薄弱吧!這店真的不合格!

Grilled Prime Rib Eye -- 結構比Tenderloin好少少, 但仍不足以叫好. 老實說我昨晚用火鍋肥牛切條煎的肉質結構還比這個好. 半磅牛只用了在在HK$44. 這個叫Prime簡直是欺騙觀眾呀! 就算肉味, 我的肥牛都比這個好十倍以上, 難為侍應說他們的Prime Rib Eye比一般高格調的店就要平, 但拿回的只值HK$44+我的人工錢.

運氣不錯,再來「Prime」的朋友是位漂亮的小姐。燭光晚餐,環境浪漫,這天服務很好,沒有出現食友午市投訴的情況,咁當然,晚市都是常駐員工,午市多炒散,質素難控制,有時吃也得講宏觀,才罵才有理由。扒的質素很好,而是晚吃得要安哥的,是烤青露筍,一般的青露筍愈大愈多渣,這裡不會,軟熟有露筍的香,淨吃很好,配cream sauce也不錯,值得推介。朋友作東,謝過。更多分享不日公映@http://foodxfile.blogspot.com/

而我要既Deep fried "Wagyu Beef" with Mushroom sauce﹐ 真係不消提。 首先﹐ 如果真係和牛﹐ 我可以話你知因為太熟而完全食唔到和牛油脂既香味同嫩肉。 呢個和牛扒炸得超熟。 我食Steak一向都中意medium, 但係呢塊扒真係熟到呢﹐ Well done! 我本身都食得較熟既可以。 但係呢個扒﹐ 叫既時候話因為係炸﹐ 所以無得要生熟程度。既然係和牛﹐ 你用超高油溫快炸甘就可以外脆耐嫩喇。 結果﹐ 熟到連我都覺得太熟。 唉~ 真係......

再講﹐ 用油炸﹐ 可想而知真係都好油膩好濟。 加上較鹹既mushroom sauce, 真係不得不讚﹐ Prime將和牛既定義完全改寫~ 我要Salute! 另外﹐ 我真係真係未見過食呢D主菜﹐ 無論係烤扒或吉烈扒都好﹐ 係無野伴碟﹐ 所以真係要講一句﹐ ’瀨嘢王致敬‘!

服務方面﹐ 唔算貼身但有禮。 環境晌Element當然唔會差﹐ 但係食物我真係真係覺得好唔掂﹐ 我諗我唔會再黎~
