老婆帶我們到上環這家傳統印度菜晚飯,我很久之前來過,記得味道不錯。果仁咖喱雜菜,味道不太辣,吃不到果仁的踪影,咖喱夠香滑,菜夠多款式。每次吃印度菜都必飯的芒果Lassi,這裡的夠大杯,芒果味夠香濃。洋葱Naan,至愛這個,很香洋葱味,餅身口感夠軟。

今晚和家人去品嚐印度菜,她們老人家常吃中菜,就帶她們試試其他菜式。這裡位於上環,假日少了上班一族,比平時沒那麽繁忙,可以坐得較鬆動。這裡還有自助餐,不過我們今次吃A la Carte。餐前小食,印度薄脆,不點醬也頗辣,旁邊的三色醬包括:綠色的是薄荷乳酪,橙色的是辣醬,深紅色的是甜醬。蕃茄湯,味帶甜,酸味相對不太出,味道挻好,有點像一哥豬扒飯的醬汁。 主菜,左:印度燉咖喱羊肉,味為三個之中較清,羊肉騷味重,我就嘛嘛,不過老公勁愛;中:瑪沙拉雞,最辣的一個,但不能吃辣的我,仍然頂得住,加了蕃茄烹調,味道帶點酸,頗醒胃;右:奶油雞,小妹很欣賞師傅在上面的椰奶挑花,有心思,味道亦是三個之中最甜又不辣,小妹最LIKE這個,雞肉如果可以再Juicy些會更好。食印度咖喱又點少得Naan, 蒜蓉味濃,口感帶點硬。香甜奶油Naan,這個口感夠脆,味道帶甜,不過牛油味不夠重。芝士Naan,口感軟身,芝士味道不算濃,為固態並呈粒狀,會建議用Mozzarella口感會較好 。

週末想食印度料理,找到這家評價不錯的印度餐廳。不起眼的入口有顯眼的宣傳招牌,中午除了提供$88的自助午餐還有很多咖哩風味的套餐。價格也很平。進到餐廳,小小的十幾張檯,只有兩桌客人和一位服務生。自助午餐自帶汽水,但我們更想嘗試印度風味的飲料。於是先生和我分別點了印度啤酒和芒果lassi。先生說啤酒味道較濃,但並不像德國黑啤醉人。我的芒果lassi則和buffet的咖哩超配。酸酸又不太甜,也不會太冰。中午的自助餐首先有印度脆餅和一些小配菜及醬料。然後是炸物:咖哩角、春卷和炸蔬菜。主菜有四種不同風味咖哩蔬菜,四種不同風味的肉菜(先生比較鍾意tandoori雞肉和咖哩雞,說比較入味肉也不乾),我就更鍾意咖喱魚蛋(其實是咖哩蛋&咖哩魚),配上兩種主食(白飯or炒飯)都幾好!這裏的naan做得也很地道。特別是原味的naan,就是單獨食用也OK。最後肚子已經裝不下了,兩人就分食了一顆甜球gulab Jamun,只沾一點點糖漿還是好甜,作為我們這一餐的結尾,回味無窮!

開吃才知原來這些配菜做得不差,我不時在尼泊爾店買Samosa來吃,算是有點要求,但這裡的鬆化外皮卻更勝一籌。另外,我得到的炸雜菜是炸椰菜花,好像不很常見,讓我感覺新鮮。
老實說,咖喱份量不怎多,但雞肉是好吃的,隱約帶着點似有還無的辣。主糧是細長的印度香米,質感乾鬆,顆粒感重,低黏度,有咬口。我把米飯舀進盛咖喱的小皿。咖喱包圍着米飯,得到的是米飯和香料雙重的香。
其實,跟餐可選配薄餅不要米飯,但麵粉香怎及飯香呢?再說,我喜歡用來盛飯的金屬容器,它紋路精緻、造功扎實,抱在手裡很安穩。

吃過午餐,盡了那杯沒有檸檬的凍檸茶便去埋單,沿途視察自助餐盤上的風光,貌似也不錯吧,我想,有機會可以試試。唯一就是食物旁邊沒有標示,對咖喱不在行的人如我,只怕不清楚自己在吃些甚麼。
侍應問我東西合不合口胃,我表示滿意,她笑得高興,讓我務必再來。

秘製羊髀

要整到一個好食嘅羊髀絕對係唔容易
但其實可以好肯定咁話俾你聽呢度係絕對滿足到鍾意食羊髀嘅人嘅要求
餐廳將羊髀整到啱啱骨肉分離 因為啱啱熟透嘅關係肉質唔會太老反而有啲鮮嫩 有肉汁而且唔乾
羊肉有少少臊味 但其實唔難接受
鍾意食羊肉嘅朋友一定會鍾意呢道菜
除咗肉質之外餐廳亦都好用心咁調配燒煮羊肉嘅醬汁
再加上有洋蔥伴碟令到有辟味嘅作用之餘
煮熟左嘅洋蔥亦都帶出左啲甜味
我對呢個羊肉其實十分滿意

其實印度咖喱對我來講唔算係好辣
但我比較欣賞印度人煮咖哩既心意
因為從呢一個雞肉咖喱鍋可見其實要煮一味印度咖喱要落好多配料 先可以整得成
好似洋蔥番茄呢啲絕對唔少得
我覺得印度咖喱比較特別嘅地方係佢哋會落番茄去煮咖喱
而平時食到嘅日式咖喱你只會見到有紅蘿蔔薯仔係入邊 冇諗過番茄同咖喱嘅味道都係可以配合到
由於可用多種配料整成嘅咖喱味道比較甜
因為太好味嘅關係我哋都叫咗個印度薄餅去送

呢度嘅印度薄餅係由師傅拋來拋去整成嘅
點解我會知其實係因為坐喺出邊嘅客人會聽到廚房傳出來拍打薄餅嘅聲音
我就好肯定呢度嘅薄餅係由師傅親自整嘅
即叫即整嘅薄餅絕對係同超級市場買返嚟嘅係唔同
因為我哋叫呢個係甜奶由薄餅 味道帶甜之外亦都有奶香味
即叫即整嘅關係令到薄餅入邊嘅水份冇因為雪藏而流失 食到有煙韌嘅感覺
加上做嘅方法令到薄餅一邊加入左空氣令到薄餅鬆軟 識落更加有層次

今日突然想食印度菜, 在搜尋器內找到了黎間印度餐廳.在中環來說hk$88食到lunch buffet都算合理, 所以就去試一試.中午1時10分左右, 不用等馬上就可以入座. 食物方面有沙律, 熱盤(curry fish, chicken,eggs & veggie), 飯及薄餅 甜品及飲品.食物味道是不錯的, 只不過所有熱盤都只是微溫而不是熱的.因為對沙律及甜品都不太興趣, 所以只是食了熱盤便走了.在中環想安靜地食過印度午餐, 黎間餐廳會係唔錯既選擇.

Of course curry is the main character in indian food. There are fish curry , chicken curry. It tastes good and it is not spicy, which is very suitable for me. I cant eat spicy curry at all. The curry is sweet and the meat is well soaked with the curry sauce.

老實說烤餅做得非常好吃,令我想起美味的手佐 pizza 麵底。彈性好,麥味香。

整體來說,今晚的印度料理是出奇的美好。

大廚非常用心,每道菜上碟快,雖然是正宗傳統的印度口味,我們吃起來卻滋味無窮。

比起平時經過調配而故意迎合亞洲口味的咖喱,這裏更多了一份親切、一份傳統、一份堅持。吃咖喱還是找正宗的印度料理最好!

唔知係咪因為印度菜式口味較濃,所以啤酒方面,佢哋嘅口味反而係較清淡順喉。不知不覺飲左三四支。食咖哩飲啤酒,真係無限舒暢。

甜品方面,佢哋有印度雪糕同印度湯圓。

食到成口火辣辣,所以今次我選擇左用粒粒橙汁作為總結。

Everything was on point I would say, I particularly liked the peas curry, egg curry, and the lentil as they have stronger taste of complexity. The meat is not dry and I would consider this a very nutritious meal to enjoy.

This restaurant serves authentic Indian food, as checking through their menu, they provide many different kinds of  curry and dishes.  With included vegeterian dishes,  Biryani (fried rice), Tandoori (BBQ), Kulcha, meat, and sea-food, also with set dinner.  The staffs were helpful.

After we were seated, the staff present a pot of appetizer, the little spicy thin crisps and together they proivde 3 kinds of different sauce:  pepper, chilly and BBQ sauce.

The decoration was so wonderful, the central of the plate, it came with a candle in green peper.  The lamb chop is so delicious, which marinated with Indian herbs and cooked in a clay oven. The lamb chop is not strong in flavour and the is quite tender.

Majority of them will choose Thai food instead of Indian food, is presumably not much people aware of the tasty Indian food. This Indian restaurant is a bit hidden in central, walked to first floor and got on the elevator. The restaurant is rather dark, but you can sense the Indian atmosphere from the decorations, sofa or cushions. There are lots of pages for the menu, nonetheless is it a bit dark to read the menu lol. There are lots of pages for the menu, nonetheless is it a bit dark to read the menu lol. Is a bit difficult to choose among so many choices and we have decided finally.

They serve us some papadums, which is a thin and crispy bread. There are three dipping sauces to eat with the papadums, which are the mint sauce, sweet and spicy sauce and spicy barbecue sauce. The sweet and spicy sauce is similar to some curry dip, the spiciness is still acceptable. And you can taste the smokey flavour from the spicy barbecue sauce. Personally I tend to like the mint sauce, it is quite refreshing and is a good start of the meal.

We ordered an Indian signature drink, which is Mango Lassi. The pronunciation of "Lassi" is kinds of similar to the Chinese pronunciation of milkshake, which they are quite alike. It is some sort of mango flavour of yogurt drink, it can help to freshen up the heavy strong Indian flavour.

Tandoori Lamb Shank arrived the table ahead, there are two big pieces of lamb shank on the hot grill pan. The name of tandoori originated from the cooking utensil called tandoor and it is the traditional recipe of this dish. They made use of various spices onto the lamb shank, then grilled it. The lamb is surprisingly tender, you can pull out the meat with a fork easily. As I love to eat lamb, it would be better if the lamb flavour to be more strong, which the spices have slightly overshadowed the taste.

Yet, the best part of this dish are the onion underneath the lamb shank!! People might skip that, but it absorbed the spices and lamb flavour.

Marsala, Korma, Vindaloo are my all time favourite, however I want to try something different instead. The Indian staff recommended this Chicken Dopiaza, which it made use of lots of onions for the gravy. There are some raw onion to decorate the dish, it is quite spicy to just eat on its own.

The gravy is a bit spicy and you got to eat that with some naan bread rather than rice. We ordered the Cheese Naan and they are thicker than the regular naan bread, since they need to insert the Indian cheese in between. They use the Indian cheese instead, which it is lighter cheese flavour than the western cheese. The texture is similar to pizza than naan bread and is good to dip the spicy gravy.
