在半山區的工作 lunch,上司建議我尋找一家好食的地方輕鬆用膳,好讓大家把緊張的心情放輕鬆一下。我原本想找的,是一間燒雞的專門店,可是當日僅有的堂食座早已被佔,我們問問行頭,問問行情之後,就轉戰山下的 Soho,近近地在伊利近街找,逐家看看是日的 set lunch 餐牌,找家既便宜又抵食的餐廳,享受一個相對來說是比較寧靜的午餐。在千找萬找之中,我們找到了一家上樓的西班牙餐廳,人少少,露台位,面對著細小的橫街,再加上沒有空調,如果地面的不是柏油路而是石仔路,這一個 view 的確有地中海小鎮的感覺。這兒的中午套餐,有四個 corse,價值$78的豐富午餐,以份量同質素來計,一點也不貴。每次食西餐,每次店方端來一大盤熱熱辣辣的麵包,總會令食客會心微笑的。而這裡提供的,是歐洲式的硬麵包,而且感覺到是自家製的,皮脆香口,這一種麵包,在一般的麵包店,不會有售。湯,是一個簡單的忌廉湯,其份量雖然不多,但味道香濃,奶油味道充足,伴麵包食,感覺非常之好。跟餐的沙律,是一份很普通的蔬菜沙律,但沙律上加了一小片的西班牙火腿,味道清新而惹味,而這一片火腿,的確會把平凡的沙律變得不平凡。我的主菜是西班牙燴

我的主菜是西班牙燴牛柳,這牛肉,看似很韌,肉的 texture 看起來也很粗糙。入口時,牛肉的口感的確是比一般結實,但入口時,一咬即開,帶點紅酒味的汁也味道豐厚。配上的,是歐洲人喜歡的烤薯,但出現在我們面前的竟然是中國的小白菜,感覺很 Fusion。

香草煎三文魚,加了點點的檸檬汁,已經非常之清新香甜,再以橄欖,菠蘿片,來增強味道,充分地把魚腥味去除,留下的是半熟魚的香甜味。味道清而鮮的魚肉,配合了牛油薯蓉同白菜,清上加清。

中午的 Soho,感覺原來是這麼寧靜及悠閒的,想在忙碌的工作天,放輕鬆一下,從中環走上來,感受一下中環背後的寧及靜,Soho 絕對是一個可以讓你減壓的寧靜好地方。

一條很鹹的龍脷魚柳,賣相蘇豪,味道 MK。魚其實煎得蠻香,配微酸的檸檬汁效果該不俗。怎麼說好呢,你說它好吃又不是,又未至於激差至如牛柳粒般不能入口,總之魚的味道是很鹹,浪費了食材。

那麼簡單的意粉都出事?問題出於餐牌,我同事是不吃辣,但這"tomato sauce"的味道竟然是辣的,還要有中辣的程度,該同事吃到一半就擱了下來。強烈建議店方在餐牌上加上"Spicy"一字,為免惹人誤會。

說真,我們四人全不是閹尖聲悶之人,也沒有刻意在雞蛋裡挑骨頭,只是味道素質是退步了許多,怕怕。

No wait time, interior is warm enough. Service is robotic without real warmth. Ordered the tapas set menu and they all came at once and crowded up the table! Used to staggered eating, some plates were going cold as we couldnt finish everything at once. Sangria was average, felt like it was just red wine and ice instead. We went to try this restaurant yesterday night. We ordered the Rico's paella, grilled sardines, beef salad and a glass of red wine. The beef was tough, the grilled sardines didn't taste good, and the paella was soggy. There were four pieces of shrimp, four mussels and bits of squid that was too soft (ie not fresh) and pieces of chicken. It was $250 for this tasteless paella. How does the price justify. It sure doesn't at this place. Do not come here for Spanish food. El Cid at Knutsford Te

昨晚到蘇豪區揾食,本想到Al Dente光顧,但因太多人的關係,最後決定到此餐廳試試。此餐廳座落於一商廈的二樓,擁有一個半開放式的窗口位,可腑瞰下邊熙來攘往的伊利近街。餐廳內裡較昏暗,裝潢一般,地方不算寬敞。既然是一間西班牙餐廳,當然要試試有西班牙的特色美食!先來一客雪梨酒煮雞,雞肉較「鞋」,也不覺有雪梨酒味,可以不試。主菜選了西班牙烤乳豬及西班牙鑊仔海鮮飯。西班牙烤乳豬雖賣相一般,但當我聽到叉子插入乳豬件時所發出「扑」的一聲,以及感受到用刀子切開豬件時的柔軟感,就知道這道菜應該很好食... 果然不負所望,豬皮很香脆,肉質也很細嫩,味道很好! 另外,附送的薯蓉也非常香口美味! 至於西班牙鑊仔海鮮飯,用平底鑊盛載,飯面鋪滿海鮮(蝦、青口、三文魚扒、魷魚等等)及各式辣椒,色彩豐富,味道算ok啦!因此鑊仔飯的份量實在太大,我們二人只能完成半碟,其餘要take-away了。

I've been frequenting this joint over the past years, even before it moved to SoHo (its current location).Orders have always consists of Tapas, truck loads of them. Everything tastes good to me but unsure if the taste is authentic.If you get a table out on the balcony (which they've chosen to enclose - for the HK Tai Tais?), a table full of Tapas, and never forget, jugs of Sangria - now that is living!Don't mind the services too much, just enjoy the latino music drumming away in the background

Orders have always consists of Tapas, truck loads of them. Everything tastes good to me but unsure if the taste is authentic.

If you get a table out on the balcony (which they've chosen to enclose - for the HK Tai Tais?), a table full of Tapas, and never forget, jugs of Sangria - now that is living!

Don't mind the services too much, just enjoy the latino music drumming away in the background and get sloshed on the Sangrias.

Their tapas have always managed to filled me up....main courses? Bah! they are overrated!

by the end of 2007, seems that we are relaxed about our job coz nearly every counter party is off from work...yo yo yo...got a year-end lunch with colleagues.we planned to have lunch in Le Fauchon though it was fully booked...Rico's is different from Le Fauchon but it is nice too.I had a pasta with home-made sausage and artichoke. It was quite unexpected as I thought it should be with white wine sauce. But turned out..as u can see in the pic...it is a pasta with no sauce..but it tasted fresh w

we planned to have lunch in Le Fauchon though it was fully booked...Rico's is different from Le Fauchon but it is nice too.

I had a pasta with home-made sausage and artichoke. It was quite unexpected as I thought it should be with white wine sauce. But turned out..as u can see in the pic...it is a pasta with no sauce..but it tasted fresh with bits of sausage. the sausage is just so so..but I love the texture of the pasta as it was just cooked. I guess the pasta was cooked with chicken soup.

apart from the pasta, i got a mushroom soup and iced lemon tea too. the mushroom soup is excellent. It was cooked with loads of finely chopped mushroom and had a very nice aroma. the lunch was $78.
