First of all, I would like to praise the service of the manager. 看了餐牌,很快便決定試這裡2人份的重量級porterhouse steak($1,050),貪其一次過能滿欠偏好稔身牛柳的我,以及喜歡New York Strip嚼勁和肉味的男友。Porterhouse要了medium rare,建議大家不妨叫生些少,因為這裡所用的碟都非常熱,熱力確保每啖牛扒都熱辣香口。

圖示了2/9的porterhouse,我只吃了這兩件,其餘的7件都由男友一口包辦。牛柳部份超級嫩,入口一點也不肥膩,肉的鮮味亦十分濃,是我倆吃過數一數二好味的牛扒。New York Strip沒牛柳稔身,但卻超juicy,男友邊吃邊讚,我倆都認為Ruth Chris的porterhouse比Mortons的好很多。

Side order的薯蓉和水煮菠菜則一般水準,沒什麼值得寫的地方。甜品要了Cream Brulee,訂位時已交帶了壽星仔的名字,侍應們亦醒目地在甜品點了蠟燭及寫了名字。他們不動聲色地靠近我們,然後突然用super大的聲浪為男友唱了一曲有和音及sound effect的生日歌,嚇到我倆先彈起後傻笑,十分難忘。Cream Brulee做得算不錯,忌簾味很出,燉蛋嫩滑,吃得出下了大量雲尼那子,不錯啊!

埋單時侍應告之甜品是on the house,很窩心啊!

Two ladies, had the following to share:

- creamed spinach on side: This came in a separate small dish. I spooned it onto my sizzling plate and served with the rib eye... nothing could've been better...
- Molten chocolate cake: poor. It was huge, but the center was just very moist and not molten. Maybe other desserts are better.

I think Ruth's should be a good substitute for The Steak House at InterCon to save some money. I haven't been there (and I really think I should), but I am already very impressed with this restaurant.

I personally love Ruth-Chris because of the excellent service and the delicious steak. On this visit I ordered a fillet mignon, so juicy-flavorful and tender... Beautiful steak accompanied with beautiful buttered asaparagus, very tender and green.My boyfriend, Steak-fanatic#1 had the ribeye... which is more flavorful than the fillet mignon, but not as tender... more of a masculine cut of meat. The side for him was the cream spinach.I also had an apple pie... so yummy! Good pastry, sweet apples.

I personally love Ruth-Chris because of the excellent service and the delicious steak.

Beautiful steak accompanied with beautiful buttered asaparagus, very tender and green.

My boyfriend, Steak-fanatic#1 had the ribeye... which is more flavorful than the fillet mignon, but not as tender... more of a masculine cut of meat. The side for him was the cream spinach.

I also had an apple pie... so yummy! Good pastry, sweet apples. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

But I must say that 'The Steakhouse' in the Intercontinental Hotel in TsimShaTsui has the best steak in the whole of Hong Kong.

Thumbs up to Ruth's Chris anyway!

There was a South Asian captain and I asked him if I wanted a steak well done which steak I should pick. He was helpful enough by suggesting a fillet of $410.

I then ordered chicken as well. There was no starter because my girl & I would like to leave room for desert.

Another waitress came to take our order. She insisted on two things: Medium well and side dish of vegetable.

After the order I looked at the wine menu - Honestly I was prepared for the prices and I was also prepared not to open a bottle. If I had looked for something cheaper I would have gone to Bulldog's, which is just next door.

The steak came with the chicken. The portion didn't look too huge and the captain divided the food for us - he was always gentle & helpful by reminding us of the very hot plate under the food.

The steak was really very soft even if it was a medium well one - the captain did make good suggestions. But the steak, the chicken and even the spinach in cheese were too oily - we could see the food still soaked in a layer of oil.

The chicken was even stuffed with cream. Both the steak and the chicken were tasty, and so was the vegetable.

After the steak we were full but we still wanted to try a dessert. On recommendation we ordered a Morton cake - Wow! It was big enough for three.

I sometimes wonder why westerners could eat so much for a person and they really do - we saw western ladies having a full course meal beside us.

Once you stepped into the restaurant I think you should be ready to pay a bit more. Bottle water at $75 is quite common in Western restaurant isn't it?

If you ever go to this restaurant you should only order steaks. The other food (salad, soup, lobster, potatoes) were quite disappointing and overpriced.The service was professional but very "inch". We were served by a Cantonese speaking local. The waiter asked if we wanted water without telling us it costs $75 for just water!!I think this restaurant is more for foreigners and big tippers.

各位,由於我男朋友仔生日,所以我四處查看那間餐廳與他慶祝,無意中在internet上看到呢間餐廳及讀者comments,所以,就選擇了在此餐廳了.沒有令我們失望,確實味道好,及服務態度好.由於大部份的waiter也是菲籍,所以,須以英文溝通,及大部份客人也是外國人多.當晚到了甜品時間,我要男友選擇cheese cake,因為當是生日蛋糕.餐廳方面還在隻牒上寫上HAPPY BIRTHDAY,夠心思及我男友都好開心.;-)價錢都算合理如以整體質素來看.

上星期六同個friend去左試lunch,地方好靚,無乜客,得兩,三客,可能佢係賺晚市,個friend要左沙律,我就揀蕃茄忌廉湯,好濃既蕃茄味,幾好,要一讚係個麵包同牛油,d牛油好正,好滑,忍唔住問個waiter,佢話佢地係keep住室溫,唔會雪藏佢,係咁攪住,仲要每一小杯,食剩會,唔會reuse,佢仲同我地講每個月牛油既支出係一萬蚊.同個friend都揀左牛柳,真係好正呀,佢毫無sauce,只係靠pepper同香草,但都好有味,要一提個碟,好鬼熱架,咁d牛咪無咁易凍羅,好pro呀!題外話一則,咁岩羅日本遊d相俾個friend睇,個waiter睇到忍唔住同我地吹去日本d野,佢好nice好攪笑.埋單一人兩舊!
