早兩天到勝香園試完檸蜜脆脆,心中盤算著下次去試咖央 or 奶油厚多。這天是週六,怕到勝香園要排隊,想起金鐘星馬殿早餐有咖央,決定一試。星馬殿開業印象中都有一年了,試過他們的拉茶、冇骨海南鷄及喇沙,味道唔錯,但地点不就腳,始終不太旺場,這次亦是第一次試他們的早餐。店子座位不多,但樓底高,卡位旁邊有整列的 floor to ceiling window,感覺開揚舒適。早餐有不少選擇,价錢亦不貴,除了拉茶、班蘭咖央及喇沙醬外,其他腸粉、厚多、餐肉都十分港式我們点了:拉茶不太濃,但夠奶香,亦很滑,正餐肉蕃茄多都不錯,餐肉煎得香,蕃茄亦夠厚身、夠鮮甜,配上抹了鮮油的多士,挺滿意咖央/奶油厚多就失望了,原本這個配搭實在不錯,旣有星馬風味的班蘭咖央,亦有港式特產的奶油多,可惜多士夠厚但不夠鮮,內裏的麵包死實,咖央夠椰香但抹得不夠重手,變了包多料少,外脆而內實,失望埋單結賬,有服務而冇加一,環境好坐,价錢合理,食物尚有進步空間,但多士不是高難度食品,只需多加留意用料,應不難改善,會 encore, 期待明早會更好

咖央/奶油厚多就失望了,原本這個配搭實在不錯,旣有星馬風味的班蘭咖央,亦有港式特產的奶油多,可惜多士夠厚但不夠鮮,內裏的麵包死實,咖央夠椰香但抹得不夠重手,變了包多料少,外脆而內實,失望


埋單結賬,有服務而冇加一,環境好坐,价錢合理,食物尚有進步空間,但多士不是高難度食品,只需多加留意用料,應不難改善,會 encore, 期待明早會更好

It's one of those days when there is so much work, I didn't get away to lunch till after 2pm. Wandering around aimlessly in Admiralty thinking of what to eat when I thought of Singma Deluxe. Wandering around aimlessly in Admiralty thinking of what to eat when I thought of Singma Deluxe. Some spicy food would be nice. I had been twice before for lunch. When I arrived, I found they were offering tea sets. They seem to be good value since they had the same dishes as lunch and dinner, laksa, fried noodles, chicken rice etc. I was by myself and so spoilt for choice. I asked the waitress whether fried rice noodles or Hainan chicken laksa is better and she told me laksa is more popular. My husband hates it when I ask the waitresses and waiters for opinion as he thinks it's not their job to tell me but I think they should know best.

So I went for the chicken laksa. I was allowed to choose steam chicken or fried chicken. I also ordered Iced Kopi, the Singapore Malaysian style coffee.

When the dishes arrived, I thought they were nicely presented and also very serious. It looked no different to the lunch presentations except the portions were a little smaller. I thought the lunch portions sizes were too big anyway and both times we had food left from lunch. So this set is idea for a one person's lunch. The sauces were nicely presented and unlike other eateries, they didn't give second class treatment to tea diners. So this was a nice late lunch and also very reasonably priced. It would have been nicer if I had come with some friends, so next time !

與同事lunch, 訂了位, 12:50 在門口已有10個8個人在等, 我地到左都要等位, 10分鐘後可以入座啦, 一個海南雞飯set, 都要65-80蚊, 貴呀 , 我選了鴛鴦海南雞飯 + 熱拉茶, 78蚊, 碟飯好食, 但唔係好特別者, 是一般的海南雞飯, 飯後, 飯一啖拉茶, 很好呀, 帶少少甜, 不錯的拉茶啊

總括嚟講, 咁嘅料, 咁嘅水準, 咁嘅裝修, 非常impressive。
附註: 夜晚有火鍋, 喇沙湯底, 睇吓搵晚去試試。

因為附近都沒有甚麼食店可選,就試下這間店吧這間店門面不易被發現,門口位處巴士總另一面,門面比側面的元氣壽司更加難被人發覺。但一入店內,就不奇現諗,這裏究竟食甚麼? 因為食午飯,用不著裝潢,但這裏的裝潢卻是第一個吸引你的,高身的樓底配上一面面的落地玻璃。這兒索價不菲,一般的已收超過60元及+1。但無法啦,這兒是金鐘。在OPENRICE 見到,這兒比較出名便是無骨海南雞飯,所以便叫了一個。無骨海南雞飯來了,賣相不錯,有三款醬汁可自由運用。比較特別的醬汁,便是圖內最上面那個,味道和顏色也似營多麵裏其中一款醬汁。無骨海南雞做幾好,吃碼不用吐骨,又有儀態,又有得食,女士們應該比較喜愛。雞做得甚為滑溜,一點也不會(鞋)。給我的那碟無骨海南雞也不肥,雞皮和雞肉中間只有少量脂肪。雞味亦維持得到。唯一敗筆便算是個飯,雖然看出來是浸個雞油,但那個飯被端上來時已經沒有甚麼雞油味,唯一解釋便是放得太久,雞油味已不翼而飛。飯亦有些少諗。

What was worse was that another group got a table before us even though we had arrived first.For a place which holds itself out to have good Hainanese Chicken Rice, it was less the mediocre. In fact, the chicken was so tasteless that I wouldn't have known what I was eating if I was blindfolded. Service (or the lack thereof) was absolutely horrendous. We ordered everything including drinks in one go, but received one drink out of five. Throughout our meal we chased up on the drinks at least 4 or 5 times but they never came. It took them 45 MINUTES to get us the drinks and 15 MINUTES to get the bill even though we were among the only few tables left (all the other customers had already left because our drinks took so ridiculously long).

For lunch a friend and I went to Singma Deluxe to grab a quick bite. Rather than having a separate menu for lunch, they have their regular menus available and the items with a sea-horse sign on them are 'lunch set-available', i.e. you get a drink with the item during lunch hours.

After looking through the extensive Singaporean-cuisine based menu, we both decided on Boneless Hainan Chicken Rice set ($72), which came with a soup + coffee/tea. Hainanese Chicken Rice sets typically come with a bowl of chicken soup, the stock from the liquid boiling the chicken, and a bowl of rice which had been cooked using the cooking liquid from the chicken. The soup at Singma however, was a typical Chinese soup found in many households, rather than the chicken soup that you normally find with Hainan chicken rice. Different, but the soup (Pork with beans and lotus root) was tasty, so I'm not complaining!

Between us, we had one of their original chicken rice set i.e. with skin on chicken (white and dark meat available) plus a pandan flavoured rice, and one sans skin and with plain white rice (in case the pandan rice was bad, right??)

Above, we have the original Singma Deluxe Hainan Chicken Rice. The slices of boiled chicken looked very nice, but definitely not the smoothest in texture we've had. The chicken was quite tasteless itself, so the sauces here were very important to impart some flavour.

The pandan rice was basically rice which had been cooked with some pandan, which gave it a nice aroma, and a slightly different taste than your standard chicken rice which is cooked with ginger and garlic... The flavoured rice was tasty, so chicken stock was probably used, but it was not oily at all.

The other set we ordered was asked to come with plain rice instead, and without skin on the chicken. The meat was the same as before, not bad with the sweet soy sauce and chilli.

The plain rice however, failed in comparison to the pandan rice as it was poorly cooked. It was way too mushy and overcooked, having no bite and being too 'wet'... Not sure how they managed to mess up plain white rice over pandan rice, but they did.

A little mention on the sauces - whilst the dark soy and chilli sauce were fine, the ginger sauce was a disappointment. Predominantly oil, they need to fix their minced ginger-to-oil ratio!

In hindsight we probably should have ordered something totally different between us, e.g. the steamy bowls of laksa (chicken / seafood / vegetarian) that we saw coming out of the kitchen and onto other people's tables!

近年港人好中意食班蘭葉製作出黎嘅食品,雖然班蘭果種綠色唔太吸引,但其獨特香味總係教人唾涎三呎。想初嚐班蘭嘅朋友,大可以試試呢度嘅班蘭雞翼($35/4隻),將雞中翼塗上班蘭醬再炸,望落有啲似綠色天婦羅,唔好以為樣衰唔好食,食落班蘭葉味唔太濃,而且炸得香口雞肉嫩滑,幾正架!


我細細個已對咖映(Kaya)呢樣野情有獨鍾,呢度有八款唔同嘅咖映多士選擇,見到個Menu就已經開心。今次試呢個蘋果咖映鮮油蔗糖多士($22)無令我失望,烘得鬆脆嘅黑糖麵包上面,塗上一層厚厚嘅鮮油,再加上混入蘋果汁同蔗糖香味嘅咖映,正呀!下次再黎等我試埋班蘭咖映多士先~


馬莎拉炒薯仔條($42) - 用印尼菜常用嘅馬莎拉汁,將粗身連皮薯條一齊炒,估唔到效果原來係咁好味,食落甜甜地,薯香完全保留,而且無平時食果啲薯條咁熱氣添。如果一班朋友黎摸住酒杯底傾計,用呢個佐酒慢慢歎,真係唔錯架~!

講起食星馬菜又點少得食海南雞飯,呢份無骨鴛鴦海南雞飯($72)就將普通同黃金兩款雞放埋一齊,如果想份量要多啲,可以要半隻($140)或者全隻($220)。講返碟雞先,雞肉雖然都叫嫩滑,但味道上真係無乜驚喜,相比尖沙咀小店文華雞飯更加可以話差幾班,不過賣相同三色醬料都係水準之上,值得一讚!


馬拉叉燒($78) - 雖然叫做叉燒,但當然同廣東人食開果啲完全係兩回事。或者大家可以想像佢係一份燒汁豬柳,咁相信會好易理解到味道如何,特色絕對係欠奉,為求飽肚就當然無問題啦~!

主菜餐牌上有一款令我好奇到底係乜,就係呢味立體魷魚($88),送上時見到個外型,大家都話果然好3D!魷魚筒直立碟中間,旁邊有魷魚鬚,秋葵同辣椒等伴碟,配上馬莎拉汁去煮,色香味絕對俱全...


到底呢座魷魚塔入面係乜東東?影相時,大家都諗起囍宴私房菜名物嘅千層峰,另一方面諗緊入面到底係唔係釀左糯米飯呢?開估!原來入面係咖喱炒飯~!飯粒雖然唔算乾身,但配合魷魚筒味道又幾夾,值得一試,價錢上我直頭覺得唔貴,好花心機同手工先整到架!


是日老媽生日搞搞新意思,唔要生日蛋糕,來個生日果凍!款式由廚師話事發辦,唔到最後都唔知有咩食,真正驚喜!呢個士多啤梨果凍食落絕對唔甜,亦無令人擔心嘅藥水味,又香又滑,掂呀!最特別係蠟燭下面果杯青綠色物體,原來係咖映醬!用黎同果凍mix埋一齊食,感覺好似白蓮蓉溝啫哩,又得意又好味~!


我較早前同負責人提及想要芒果或者士多啤梨做甜品,士多啤梨果凍後突然再額外送多個芒果甜品,真開心!望落係唔係好似普通左少少呢?其實入面內有乾坤...一層層甜到爆嘅芒果片,加上燒香焦糖放上面,入面係芒果粒混埋大菜糕,再釀返入芒果身入面,聽落都知手工花唔少,食落仲好好味添~!而且咁有心思嘅甜品,真係唔係度度都搵到架!


星馬殿棄除原有熱帶風情,將每樣食品都包裝到同藝術品一樣,如果你愛試新配搭,又愛玩Fusion的話,呢度絕對值得推介俾你。價錢方面,今餐六人都食到好飽,每人除返開都係$150左右,絕對係合理抵食!地點上可能會覺得唔太就腳,但其實位置就喺金鐘遠東金融中心地下,即元氣壽司後面,唔算好難搵!

彈:
- 正正因為menu 圖文並茂, 所以更見得物不所值
份量偏少, 所以價錢就相對地貴
- 配海南雞的黑豉油, 咸又唔咸, 甜又唔甜, 唔夠杰身, 我覺得唔掂
- 最唔掂係南瓜焦糖咖央多士, 一上檯, 黑媽媽成舊炭咁
最經典嘅係咖央凍嘅, 多士涼嘅, 唔知食緊啲乜
係唔係加落焗爐熨一熨佢都懶?!

總括而言, 地點唔算就腳, 食物質素一般, 價錢相對較貴
就算再行過, 都唔會再幫襯

看見食評裏美麗的畫版海南雞飯,不禁動心欲試。來時約晚上六時,進佔靠窗一大卡位,店員告知仍是下午茶時段,並且每叫第二份可半價。侍應替我們辦好了入會手續,我們叫了兩份星馬無骨海南雞飯,下午茶價錢是$38,加飲品是$48。她說第二份可半價,心想豈不是平過快餐店?飲品選了馬來西亞拉茶和檸檬茶。拉茶雖不錯,頗滑,但不夠香兼細杯,三兩口便喝掉;檸檬茶用細細個的青檸檬,清新好喝,也是一小杯。星馬無骨海南雞飯來了,由于是下午茶,並無畫版效果,不過賣相都不俗。吃落雞味欠奉,唯有醬汁補救;油飯(斑蘭飯)凍凍的,冇特別,頗乾硬,不太合口味。想想價錢不貴,不能苛求的了。再叫了水牛芝士冬茹($20) ,侍應說這個是原價。雖冇驚喜,但配搭得宜,好吃。後再加一客班蘭雞翼($20) ,淡淡的班蘭香味,雞翼肉質嫰滑,幾特別,只是由於是炸的,有少許油腻,是可以接受的。結賬時,賬單顯示半價的只是兩份小食,各比原價$20減半,各平$10。年輕人在嘰哩咕嚕,說為何和落單時的說法不同。决定不理會他的嘰咕,因為覺得如此地段和環境,巳是超值的下午茶了。對了,人家還送來了一碗湯,雖然不愛喝。有些題外話,店鋪以紫色為主題,不過如果不是卡

We only recently noticed this restaurant in a very odd corner of Admiralty and decided to try it for dinner as we love Singaporean/Malaysian food and it is so hard to find good Singaporean/malaysian restaurants in Hong Kong.
Restaurant looked modern, although very purple, and the rubber chickens along one wall were a bit odd. Restaurant was clean and welcomed us with two children. The restaurant seemed to be half full when we arrived, however we discovered during the course of the meal that 90% of the 'diners' in the restaurant were friends of the owners who had come to visit.
The seating options were short stools, chairs or a booth. We were seated in a booth.
Menu was written in both english and chinese, along with numbering.
Surprisingly there were very few 'noodle' dishes on the menu other than the laksa. No Chow gwai dew, prawn noodles or hor faan (flat rice noodles) appeared to be offered.
We ended up deciding on a 1/2 Hainan Chicken, Seafood Laksa with mai faan (thin rice noodles), a malay vegetable (tong choi - chinese water spinach) dish and two bowls of Chicken rice.
Seafood Laksa: The visual presentation of this dish was amazing, however it lacked any aroma and the fluorescent green prawn sitting atop the dish was a little off-putting. The dish had lots of ingredients, a piece of crab, a clam, some small fish balls, a scallop, a few mussels, fried tofu, turnip, eggplant and an egg omelette atop the noodles and an assortment of green vegetables and mushrooms. The soup tasted ok, although lacked the spice and chilli I would expect of a laksa in Asia. The consistency was also very thin. The amount of noodles seemed less than the meat and mushrooms. The scallop was of a decent size, however it did not have a fresh taste. Similarly the prawn was overwhelmed by the green food colouring taste.
Hainan Chicken: The chicken was served on a painters palette plate with chilli and soy sauce dripped around the edges. The chicken was served boneless and topped with yellow petals from (I am hoping) an edible flower of some kind. It was served with three sauces - a black soy sauce, a chilli sauce and a ginger-red onion sauce.
The chilli sauce tasted like it had come out of a bottle and had no texture. The ginger red onion sauce was unusual. The red onion flavour dominated the sauce making the ginger almost indistinguishable in the sauce. As unusual as it was, it made an acceptable accompaniment to the chicken. The chicken was moist and tasted ok. The skin was well presented with a small amount of fat.

Chicken Rice: Good sized portions slightly larger than a normal rice bowl. The rice was subtly flavoured with chicken and garlic, not too hard or soft.

malay vegetable (tong choi - chinese water spinach) dish: The vegetables arrived on a long white dish. The dish diverged from what we have traditionally had in that it contained shredded carrot, sliced onion and sliced garlic. The large chunks of garlic were only half cooked. The vegetables were crunchy but had very little sambal or chilli, instead a burnt aftertaste was left in the mouth. The bottom of the dish was a dark brown watery sauce which was the source of the burnt taste. We found this dish inedible and struggled to eat almost 1/3 of it.


Service was below average as staff were inattentive. One of the dishes we ordered was 'forgotten' and had to be added later (although to the kitchen's credit they got it out to us quickly). When asking for a knife and fork to cut up our children's food, the request had to be made 3 times. It took over a minute for the various wait staff to acknowledge our raised hands waving for the bill.
When the change was returned from the bill we were given over $10 in small change ($1 and $2's) without explanation. I suppose in the expectation that we would leave it all as a tip even though there was small change on top of that. This arrogant attitude made us decide not to leave any tip, especially since service was bad, one dish was basically inedible and there was already a 10% surcharge on the bill.
This is an average restaurant, not quite as bad as a food court, slightly on the pricy side. I would go back for the hainan chicken if a friend wanted to try the restaurant but I would not go out of my way to recommend this restaurant.

燒雞, 他們稱為黃金雞, 果真, 真係有黃金, 有少少金泊仔做裝飾, 搞到的又要食D重金屬落肚啦. 燒雞, 係香少少既. 不過, 一樣是雞味不足. 一旦雞唔靚, 就需要龐大的調味功夫, 可是, 海南雞是以美味的雞油來做味道, 若雞選得不好, 雞油不香, 就失去了海南雞的神韻了.

之後, 店方送上一個甜品, 名字不清楚, 總之是用桃做出來的小小好味道, 可以一讚的.

最後是拉茶, 南亞地區的獨得沖奶茶方法. 不過是日我要拉的, 是咖啡, 要咖啡的原因是因為想提一提神, 另外他們說是馬來咖啡. 馬來咖啡有一個幾獨特既味道, 我係幾鐘意的. 咖啡, 有好重既咖啡味但入口不覺得濃, 拉過的咖啡, 起了一層泡, 其實這些泡泡我覺得不會令咖啡好飲, 反而覺得只是南洋人既手法, 快速令熱辣辣, 變成暖暖地, 大熱天時都易入口既熱飲.

海南雞一般, 始終一句話, 香港好雞難求.......要食靚雞, 難道真的要北上嗎........? 為了食靚雞而北上, 會令身邊的人誤會......後果會不堪設想的啊....

整個下午茶中最好味的,要算是那杯味道清新的「凍青檸檬香葉茶」,的確非常好飲,味道清甜得來適中,甚佳。

至於另一杯「凍馬來拉茶」,味道就只是一般,不太飲得出拉茶那種特別的香濃味道了。
埋單每人平均$56,不算昂貴,在金鐘這金融區甚至算得上有點抵食。只是這裡的裝修美則美矣,食物質素卻參齊不一,有些很不錯,有些卻完全不行,這店子要在眾多的食店中站穩陣腳,要改進的地方仍多呢!
