經過大坑,係對面馬路已經聞到呢間印度餐廳嘅味道,今晚嚟開買野,順手食埋個Lunch由於早去,餐廳仲未有人,揀咗一個窗邊位坐。店員話用手機落單,都幾方便。叫咗一客牛油雞同蒜蓉烤餅。先上Papadam(印度炸薄餅),跟四色醬(薄荷醬、辣椒醬、蒜蓉醬、羅望子醬),係印度餐送嘅小食,之後上埋兩片掛住嘅蒜蓉烤餅 Garlic naan 同埋用小火爐暖住嘅牛油雞。牛油雞係一種印度的咖喱雞,做法包含將雞肉用酸奶和香料醃漬數小時,雞肉隨後可用饢坑窯烤(類似印度烤雞)或油煎,加入由黃油、番茄、忌廉、洋蔥、孜然、阿魏、丁香、桂皮、芫荽、胡椒、胡蘆巴葉和綠豆蔻所做成的咖喱中。偶爾也加入腰果以增加咖喱濃稠度。最後用少許芫荽、牛油、胡蘆巴葉和忌廉做裝飾味道食起來似有蕃茄味嘅咖喱,唔係辣嘅菜式,用蒜蓉味嘅烤餅點D汁嚟食就正宗喇。

It’s my first time trying sweet rice 🍚 cooked in an Indian style!😋 Saffron basmati rice are quite long and thin as compared to the usual Japanese or Thai rice that we could buy from supermarkets! It goes so well with fruits and Indian herbs🌿!

四月都來了,卻突然轉冷,食咖哩吧。我常叫這間印度餐廳為「大坑的藍屋」。今天想食印度香飯,而我是羊癡,所以無需考慮,就羊肉吧。加塊烤餅和飲品,兩個人足夠了。和其它印度餐廳一樣,點餐後會送上前菜:胡椒脆餅 Papad,配紅、黃、綠、啡四種chutney醬。這個不另收費的脆餅新鮮香脆,胡椒味又夠,百吃不厭。印度羊肉炒飯Lamb Biryani($128)Biryani即是印度香飯,它的香味來自不同的香料,例如丁香、胡椒、孜然等。香料雖多但和諧可口。用的是印度香米,瘦瘦長長,同時會加入薑黃和番紅花染色,所以你會看到米飯是有兩種顏色的。調味會用到乳酪和檸檬汁,所以有輕微的酸味,非常開胃。羊肉是用紐西蘭羊肉,切成大粒,夠腍入味,而且份量不少。餐廳把這道菜譯做炒飯其實有點誤導,因為它是煮焗而不是炒,所以並不油膩,反而風味濃郁又香氣十足。薯仔烤餅 Aloo Paratha($32)就是有薯蓉餡的麵餅。Paratha和常見的naan不同,它不用發酵,有嚼勁,中間包入加了香料的薯蓉再油煎而成。由於Paratha不會破碎或掉酥,可以整塊拿起來食,而我就會用刀叉享用。如果用來蘸咖哩應會更好食,現在我們單吃覺得

薯仔烤餅 Aloo Paratha($32)
就是有薯蓉餡的麵餅。Paratha和常見的naan不同,它不用發酵,有嚼勁,中間包入加了香料的薯蓉再油煎而成。
由於Paratha不會破碎或掉酥,可以整塊拿起來食,而我就會用刀叉享用。
如果用來蘸咖哩應會更好食,現在我們單吃覺得薯蓉的調味可以再重手些。
