晚飯前有一小時空檔,找間cafe hae一陣~來到Soho East的Teavers, 是一間雅緻的小茶館~點了earl grey scone 和人參烏龍茶~有Earl grey 茶味但不太有scone的牛油香人參烏龍是我一向喜歡喝的~喜歡回甘的aftertaste ~ 飲完好似喉嚨一直有甜味的~餐具擺盤都幾可愛~不過茶具有破口仲繼續用不是很安全....

百無聊賴的星期天,最適合找一間寧靜悠閒的cafe,過一個閒適的下午,自平日忙碌的生活中抽離一下。由於本人十分愛喝茶,所以這次選擇了一家在西灣河的茶室- Teavers。在鯉景灣公園內的Teavers,裝修予人溫暖的感覺,橙黃色的燈光,白色的卓椅,配以落地玻璃透入自然光,一邊品茶、一邊看著窗外公園的景致,把平日煩囂的都市生活都暫時拋諸腦後。隨著menu,店員搬來了一大盤的茶葉,以實驗管形狀的容器盛著,有二十種茶葉,讓你挑選合口味的茶,十分有趣又貼心。伯爵茶latte, 咖啡latte飲得多了, 用茶泡的你又試過了沒有? 味道不錯呢~ 金桂花茶, 味道清香, 充滿桂花香味熱騰騰的scones, 有提子味及原味的, 口味還可以, 不過作為scone靈魂的果醬及奶油的味道則一般...吐司味道一般...總括來說, 飲品的質素不錯, 尤其欣賞其以試管端上茶葉的做法, 感覺創新! 食物的質素則不算突出, 飲品連食物每人約70元,不過能在如此悠閒的環境下放鬆一個下午, 還是值得推介 ;)

今次黎到蘇豪東嘆一嘆茶。店面雖然細,但勝在整潔乾淨,環境舒適。(忘記了影相)一坐低,殷勤的店員搬了這set茶葉來,不同味道既茶葉用test tube裝住,感覺很pro,我們好自然要聞一聞啦!但其實佢另外會有個ipad menu (感覺很high tech),而最後我都係點左ipad menu入面的其他飲品,set 茶葉test tube係貪得意,哈。NY Cheese Cake (長條形): 這個很膩,重味,但又不是香濃那種,質地又不夠細滑,不值一試好彩,另外2個ok~~~雪國青檸 (方形): 一層軟綿綿+一層香滑,仲有清新既青檸味Chesse Mango (圓形): 質地是mousse,味道清甜又香,不會膩個玫瑰果醬都幾清香,質地較thick,吐司本身係用厚吐司,要點多d果醬,否則會好"乾憎憎",佢個果醬份量明顯唔夠,一般3-4件都搽哂,頭果幾件吐司我都已經就住就住咁搽,但最後都係唔夠,食到唔想食,多d醬會好d。d人成日都問coffee or tea,我第一次見有mix,所以即使本身想黎飲茶都order左monkeypick latte,hazelnut味就不大,反而質感係latte

d人成日都問coffee or tea,我第一次見有mix,所以即使本身想黎飲茶都order左monkeypick latte,hazelnut味就不大,反而質感係latte,但味道就係茶,好特別呢!


每次上餐都會連埋個wooden tray,襯埋有少少藝術感的白色餐具,成個感覺同d食物好夾,好舒服。

要在香港找好吃的scones真的很不容易。不是太硬太乾,就是太黏。聽說這家位於蘇豪東的scones做得很不錯,所以縱然地點不好找,我還是專程前往拜訪。其實為一嗜她們的scones,已經跑了好幾趟。頭兩次都無緣吃到,可能因為太好吃,scones都售罄了。幾經垂詢,終於得知她們每逢星期二才會補充scones的貨源,那麼就找一個星期二再訪好了。這天,星期二,果然不用再撲空了。二話不說,先要了一客scones。然後店員端來一盆茶葉試管,說可以打開嗅嗅,再按照喜好揀選想喝的茶種。這聽來好像是噱頭,但想來又覺得頗合理細心。嗅了幾款,最後要了壺透天香。(Heavenly Oolong)先說說這壺茶。茶具很別緻,看來是特別訂製的,整套茶具用木盆子盛著,還附上一杯清水及曲奇,十分周到。可是問題來了,那茶壺的把手太峰利,根本不足以支持滿載壺子的重量… 加上壺蓋有某部份損壞了,可能店家沒有察覺到,未有把損壞部份再次打磨,我們唯有待茶稍微放涼才能握住壺身倒茶。幸而這並沒有影響這茶的質素,茶是微涼,但茶色仍很清澈,香氣撲鼻。不過這又有何難度呢,選一定品質的茶葉,用適當溫度的水沖泡就錯不到那裡。但話分兩頭,醉翁之

鬆餅的質感不錯,鬆軟不死實,麵粉味相當重,是,甚至是太重。重得連最重要的牛油香也完全蓋過了。吃到中段,我還有一刻以為自己在吃新鮮出爐的乾酥餅。當然,這是個人意見,對於喜愛麵粉香的朋友們絕對是不容錯過。

話說回來,她們的果醬卻是值得推介,其中白桃玫瑰更是首選。果肉多而甜度適中,最難得的是玫瑰香氣自然,不會覺得在吃梘液;為麵粉scones挽回不少分數。據知她們的果醬是從台灣一家叫Lola的公司引入的,除了白桃玫瑰,還有芒果熱情果和焦糖合桃。大家不妨一試。
總的來說,teavers的scones算是水平之上,可是還未是我心目中的要求。要是大家剛好在附近就不妨試試,但要專程到訪,我看就不用了。
題外話:
佐茶的兩塊小曲奇實在有點扣分。綠色的是綠茶,吃到用的不是上等綠茶粉,行貨得很。另一去紅茶稍微好一點,可是質感一般。我明白這是免費的,可是也該給一點誠意吧。

沒所謂,反正有點覺得以syphon display是一種招客方式。

我們叫了兩種用syphon煮的茶和一種用五位數字水機沖泡的茶,一壺的價錢比誠品tea room便宜一點,不過他們打正旗號茶館,會對他們有期待。

喝的感想:

Syphon煮的茶,用一個樣子特別的陶瓷壺盛載,拍照真的不錯!錯就錯在手柄不好拿,有可能熱死或者茶壺飛脫打破茶壺。

茶本身的香氣不錯,不過帶點苦澀,不見得他們有善用syphon。
比較tea room的茶,(雖然兩家的茶不一樣),這家有改善空間。

至於另一壺泡的,壺內有茶葉泡着,所以前段喝順滑,後段有苦澀味跑出來了,又比較tea room的,人家做了什麼,可以使一壺茶從頭到尾都順滑不苦澀呢?

總括小店是舒服的,茶也不會說差勁,不過有改善空間,陶瓷茶具也要改善一下。咖啡店用具用在茶館… 是最適當的?要大家想一下。

Other Info. : 一件成功和好的產品不單要好看, 也應該要好用, 如果只花時間研究怎樣把咖啡用品用在茶藝上, 不如多花時間改善真正的茶具和茶藝吧!

可惜住得比較遠,要不然這個地方好適合閒時沒事幹來HEA下
這裡也有一些茶葉包裝,茶具,裝飾等等供購買,不過我就沒有光顧了

上至下,左至右,一至二十種茶葉試管順序排列好。不消三秒,眼光便散落於Chocolate Mint Truffle,打開瓶蓋,一陣熟悉的味道依舊,更多了微微的薄荷清新。之前在Four Seasons Hotel Lobby Lounge試過Chocolate Truffle Tea,一試鍾情,隨後兩三次到那裏也必叫這茶。雖然心意已決,但還是逐一看看其他茶。這裡的茶大概分爲綠茶,烏龍茶,花茶,紅茶,草本花茶,白茶,普洱茶七類。款式林林種種,每款香味獨特,其中的茶葉在處理過程中被香油炒過,更爲迷人,就例如以佛手柑油炒過的Organic Earl Grey,連本來打算叫玫瑰花茶的朋友,都被她迷住了。

找到了我們心中所愛後,再選了兩款小食。落單時,由於我們選的都是濃茶,店員友善地問候我們是否偏愛濃茶,會否不習慣。我們微笑不語,只能說我們都‘重口味’吧。XD

先來兩壺茶,與咖啡的biscotti一樣,伴上兩塊自家製曲奇。店家也很有心思,給上一小杯水,清清味蕾,避免影響之後甜品的味道。
放在我面前的是個帶了皇冠的茶壺,有點笨重,更爲可愛。嗅一下,感覺有點不對板,呷一口,怎麽會有點奶茶味,還多了份smoky flavour,我的可可茶呢?我們不約而同望一望對方,隨即忍不住噗一聲笑出來,連忙與各自的茶相認。

剛才我喝錯的是朋友的佛手柑伯爵紅茶Organic Earl Grey , 是普遍的茶,味道較其它紅茶清淡,入口幼滑,不知道是否佛手柑香油的關係,喝後,茶香依舊在口裏迴盪,讓人回味。相信加了奶後的伯爵茶味道更爲細膩。

至於我的薄荷可可紅茶Chocolate Mint Truffle,茶色清而深紅,相比先前喝過的Chocolate tea,這杯的可可香味較淡,但薄荷香氣清新,很舒服。後來仔細看看,原來這個茶葉本身沒有可可香,而是南飛國寶‘Rooibos’茶加了可可豆一併烘培,難怪可可香較弱。不過入口甘甜,伴著薄荷朱古力的香味,實在驚艷無比。聽説Rooibos因她的無咖啡因,低丹寧酸被高度認可為健康茶品,也適合懷孕愛茶人喝。Rooibos,加上同是Superfood的可可和薄荷,嗜甜愛健康的女生應該愛不釋手。

手工餅乾,每壺茶配上兩塊,有幾款,都是有果仁果乾,很健康的感覺。(可惜這幾塊都沒有黑芝麻)入口鬆脆,有果乾的,則帶點煙韌,亦散發牛油香,伴茶佳品。

小食也很快送上來。先是食家門一致推崇的蜜香玫瑰Honey Rose。 蛋糕分爲玫瑰花果凍,mousse及蛋糕餅底三層。玫瑰花味道清香,特別是頂層的鋪了花乾的果凍,玫瑰味尤其香濃而不假;用上了她的絕佳拍檔 - 蜜糖,很是甜美,連一向偏愛口感的我都對這幼滑mousse cake也連番讚好。

厚切多士配手工玫瑰蜜桃果醬:果醬有四款選擇,本來我想試試焦糖核桃,貪她的粒粒香脆口感,但想起朋友不吃果仁的,便選了玫瑰蜜糖果醬。這個果醬嘛,難免會跟MO馳名的Rose Petal Jam相比,可能期望過高,玫瑰味很微弱,只嘗出蜜桃的甜味,幸好多士熱辣辣,外脆内軟,彌補失望。如果多士用上麥香較濃的麵包更好。

臨走前,始終十分感激店家的邀請,而且剛好要為親戚準備禮物,便買下一包雜錦茶葉立方棒($98)。這個茶棒不但調教好茶葉分量,也可以做隔茶葉之用,只要按照包裝上的溫度指示,便能沖出大師手藝的茶,方便生活繁忙的都市人。

So, given the buzz and the price we were expecting the greatest cup of tea ... ever.
We tried the Ginger Oolong Phoenix and Jasmine Green Tea.
Both were fine ... but hardly remarkable. I wouldn't suggest anyone go more than 2 minutes out of their way for either.

The ambiance and service are typical Hong Kong: cramped and perfunctory.
Would not recommend you trek out to the East Island for it.

洋甘菊,泡浸一會已透出清幽的小菊花味,顏色淡黃,洋甘菊與中國杭菊品種不同,洋甘菊花朵較細小,香味不及中國杭菊般濃,睡前小喝,寧神安睡。泡浸幾次後,我好奇地將錫紙拆開,看看內裏乾坤,果然放了很多整朵的洋甘菊在內,真材實料。

黑金烏龍,烏龍是半發酵的青茶,耐泡,多泡幾回仍有香味,茶色是綠與黃之間,入口甘純,像給喉嚨做了按摩,喝後仍有餘韻,是我除普洱外,最愛的茶種。

茉莉雀舌,花茶也是我喜愛的茶類,最愛是桂花茶,茉莉的香味也不錯,淡淡花香,稱之為雀舌者,也即是揀選最幼嫩的部份,格外清香,喝茉莉,個人喜愛茶葉下得不多,否則太濃反而不美,獨有的清香散不出來,當然,用茶棒則少了這點考慮,份量已固定,飲啖茶,吃件唐餅,無以尚之。

伯爵紅茶,香氣獨特的紅茶,若是喝Twinings 的伯爵,會像喝香水一般,個人感覺,吃High tea 時喝伯爵紅茶最配合英國人吃下午茶的意境,這茶棒的伯爵紅茶,獨有香味也顯露,但不超卓, 閒時浸泡一杯飲用,也無不可。

也許我是古老人,喝茶,我還是喜歡用茶葉、茶壺、自己煲水泡浸的,而喝紅茶,則用茶隔、茶壺沖,濃淡調較自如,然而,時代是進步的,茶棒,適合現代人需要,方便易用。

感謝食友的餽贈,令我增廣見聞,在此謝過。

全店亮眼點相信是虹吸壺泡茶,
通常用於沖咖啡!據知,能夠保持熱水有一定的溫度,可高達 120 度!這樣,把茶葉的香味及原味發揮得琳璃盡至,帶出茶葉的味道!
當然,不是全部茶也用這泡茶形式,不耐高溫的茶葉例如:花草茶、白茶、綠茶等,要低溫沖泡!

肚餓既我睇完茶葉,就立即叫野食,諗住叫個Tiramisu啦,點知話冇貨。哎吔,激死,咁冇就只好唔食甜品啦。Order咗煽腸仔卷同法式迷你莧菜野菌撻、加多個厚砌多士(多4種唔同既醬可供揀選 - 玫瑰花甜桃醬、鮮草莓、百香果芒果、焦糖核桃,正!!!)我揀咗焦糖合桃。野飲就揀咗佢一杯出名既榛子馬騮搣拿鐵。我諗應該食得哂掛...

野飲好快就到,榛子馬騮搣拿鐵,用虹吸既技術黎黎沖茶第1次見,見好似幾pro同幾靚咁,杯野飲應該會唔錯。榛子味夠,唔會太濃,飲多少少馬騮搣同拿鐵味都飲到出黎,好奇怪,冇諗過可以mix埋,亦估唔到咖啡同茶既混合體原來都幾好飲,響冬天呢個咁凍既日子,飲杯暖野一流。值得一提係,隻杯唔會太熱,可以拎住飲,完全唔會太熱,但飲落完來都幾熱,呢個幾細心。

冇幾耐,厚砌多士到喇,肚餓既我立即連拿鐵都唔飲,食野先。我果然冇揀錯焦糖合桃醬,甜甜地既焦糖加上細細粒既合桃,令我諗番起細細個食既花生醬麵包,"4塊厚砌多士,我塊塊都搽到滿哂焦糖合桃醬,好好食,但有d可惜係,多士唔夠熱,如果再暖多少少(當然唔好太熱)就最prefect。

跟住黎既係煽腸仔卷同法式迷你莧菜野菌撻,迷你版,可以一口一個。先試個煽腸仔卷,唔知係唔係太細個呢,只係感受到好少腸仔,少熱味道都叫ok啦,卷得都夠實唔會咁易跌出黎。而個法式迷你莧菜野菌撻,食到好名顯既莧菜味,配合個迷你撻(皮少脆),好食。一口一個,好好feel。

黎Teavers除咗想試下佢關於茶既出品之外,最特別係佢既環境,好舒服好自在,唔會太迫,亦唔會太趕,近海邊,亦唔會太熱,又一個relax既地方好去處。走之前買咗d茶葉返公司飲,見間鋪頭亦有茶壺茶葉賣,一流啦,未見過咁正既地方。

Found in SOHO East, It's not related to actual SOHO or NOHO in Central District. This sea facing strip in Sai Wan Ho on the other side of the HK island is known as SOHO East officially, but I really wouldn't be that surprised if not many locals know about this terminology because thus far this name reference has only been mentioned within my English speaking friends in town. An Uber Boiler - Used for Coffee Brewing
With precise Water Temperature Controls and Weight or Volume accuracy measured down to the last milliliter, TEAVERS took the effort to install this very expensive system just to make you your teas!
This is easily over 5 digits an equipment and any dream Cafe shop would want to install one in their store. It's seriously hard core and very respectable. Especially when found in a Tea House.

Tea Selections -
You can sample-smell some of these first. I guess you could eat some dry tea leaves if u want to. But I like this as you can try to imagine what you might end up ordering before you actually pay. It shows heart in their system.

Some Teas are Siphoned Here -
Depending on what u order some teas are Siphoned. I actually do this myself at home and have seen restaurants do this to finish off Soups but usually more for Presentation. Over here you can say it's gimmicks or u can say it's a novelty fun factor. I actually think this works well with certain coffees and teas and it takes a lot of experimentation to find out what works or not. I found the teas here to be quite decent overall. At least u can detect some flavours. ~ 7/10

Plain Scones & Raisin Scones -
Come for the scones. Seriously. They were really great and we were saying how these beat 95% of the hotel Scones out there, with the exception of Island Shangri-La and Four Seasons Lounge and only on a good day. These were so fluffy and buttery. What is even more amazing is that these were supplied to Teavers externally, and I would love to know the supplier. Great job! *Note: these are served with Butter only. I think by the HK Trend, they need some Clotted Cream somewhat? ~ 8.5/10

Toasts with Taiwanese Jams -
Didn't try this as on appearance the toasts were too white and didn't smell like how toasted bread should be! But I tried the Jams and they were chunkily interesting. ~ N/A

Tiramisu -
Tiramisu was of the cake form type rather than the Trifle style type. It was quite mild in Coffee or Marsala taste (none). I know everyone says Tiramisu's have a separate Kid's and Adult's version but I am not a Kid ! You kidding me ! ~ 5/10

Honey & Rose Cheese Cake -
When I ate this I thought it had Lychee in it but it turned out it was the honey itself which had a fruitiness within. I actually quite liked this and it is quite unique to find within Hong Kong. ~ 8/10

Hearty Tea Products also Available for Purchase. But they are not cheap -
I actually really liked here. I mean I get disappointed by almost every new Tea House or Cafe I visit, but over here, it was once of the most surprising packages I encountered recently. Yes it is a little out of the way for most but if you are romantic enough you can catch a ferry to here from Kowloon !

I would have been happy to give here a perfect 5 out of 5 scores.

- But I thought their teas were good rather than great for now.
- The Scones were amazingly great, but needed Clotted Cream to shut people's mouth!
- Liked the Taiwanese Jams a lot!
- Tiramisu was underwhelming and too Kid's version.
- Their Toasts didn't look appealing or evenly heated up. Since I detected a Taiwanese theme, may be they could do one with a Condensed milk and Pork Floss 肉鬆 version? It's just me

Anyway, I would just like to Thank Teavers for inviting me to experience their lovely teas and tea related products.

When you sit down, they give a tray of clear glass containers with tea leaves which you can smell and see which ones you like the most especially for beginners because each person has their own acquired taste.

The teas were colour coded too. For strong teas the siphon was used.

When I asked about this tea, I was thrilled to learn it was made with real grapefruit juice and not grapefruit syrup.
The taste was so nice I drank half a glass in one go.
The sweetness was just right too and not syrupy and it really quenched thirst which is what a good drink should do and not make you quench for another drink.
The icecubes are made of tea too which will not dilute the drink.

The jelly texture was similer to kanten, it was slightly tough.
The sweetness was just right and there were bits of pear in the jelly.

To finish off I had the hot jasmine tea.
There were two types of Jasmine, Jasmine leaves and Jasmine pearls. This was the reason why their tea sample was extremely useful because I could find out which Jasmine I preferred.
I chose the Jasmine leaves because it was the one I preferred the scent of even though the Jasmine pearl was a better quality. I found the Jasmine pearl too fragrant for me.

The cookies that came with it were really nice and infused with tea flavouring. It was really good the buttery taste was not that strong or it would have overpowered the tea taste. They reminded me of the cookies at Clover.
It was thoughtful there was a cup of hot water too, to cleanse the palate.
