那種甜點是我不能接受,遠遠的超出我的想像。

鬆餅我就不說,我吃不出有什麼特別。

坦白說,這個下午茶的原價,一點也不貴。
可是那個質素呢,真是一個大問題。

第三次食 pawn, 來到的氣氛好好。但一於問waiter 有甚麼推介,他只說AE card 有promo, 不能一個叫 a la carte, 一個promo,要先問經理。雖然我地訂枱沒有reserve AE promo, 但見價錢ok,就叫了一個餐,另外散叫pork belly。老公叫的AE set, 頭盤三文魚冇乜味,main course steak with chips - 成餐飯最像樣是這個,有肉汁,very fresh fries。之前叫過pork cheek, 今次冇就叫了pork belly。絕對的失望- pork belly 咸過太興燒肉。最失望還是服務- 成程食飯只為我們添過1 次水。零服務,要叫很多次才有人應。好好的Friday 就給pawn 掃了興,還是快d 趕回家看衝x雲霄吧!!

服務:自問對服務員要求並不高,但今晚這位waiter 哥哥,我覺得我在受他面色食這頓晚餐。無奈。
Service: honest speaking, I'm not expecting for 5 stars service. To me a Monday night dinner, i just want to enjoy my meal. Unfortunately, the terrible service I received from the waiter just made my whole experience so disappointed.

都幾好食, 因為本人都比較喜歡吃肉汁較多和肉質較嫩的牛扒,所以hanger steak 這種以口感取勝的牛扒略有不同。
Hanger steak 一直以它的肉質口感為賣點,要保存它的牛肉質感,就必要讓外層煮熟,從而鎖住內裏的肉汁,達到半生熟的狀態,這才能稱之上為美味。而the Pawn 這點就做得不錯。唯一可改善的地方就是份量略嫌細份。

Well, personally not a hanger steak fans, i like the juiciness and tenderness from filet mignon more. So it's slightly incomparable.
Hanger steak is known for its texture being more chewy and is best serve when it's raw inside with the meat cooked outside. And no doubt, The Pawn has done a pretty decent job on that. Only comment is, the size portion, at this price, everything here seems slightly too petit and not that filing.

都幾好食, 桃有少許蜜糖,但不是太甜,亦不是罐頭桃。讚讚!再配上開心果雪糕,真係幾好食。不錯不錯。
Pretty good - the peaches aren't those canned peaches. So it's not overly sweetened, even with the honey mixed with it. And the pistachio Icecream taste pretty good. A well combination dessert, surely enjoyed it.

因為本人很喜歡earl grey tea. 所以更喜愛這個甜點。每口cream帶有濃厚的茶香,再配上美味的蛋糕,美味極了。
Pretty enjoyed this dessert as well. I am a big fan of earl grey, and every bite of the cream, it's smooth with the taste of earl grey. Mixing each bite with the Eccles cake, fantastic.

Other Info. : 1) 因爲pork belly太鹹,經過投訴後,餐廳為補償便主動簽左我地之前叫既兩個甜品(@$75each),經理好識做。值得一讚! 2) 今晚又有40%discount,所以超抵! 3) 今晚坐既範圍比較少枱,所以無上次甘嘈,不過身旁放左一部大型坐地冷氣機,同餐廳環境格格不入,好似去左大陸甘。 4) 如果要泊車先上網查定合和中心停車場入口位置,千萬唔好信餐廳所講係皇后大道東入口,因爲你唔會搵到。

第一次和友人來吃,沒有定位,來得早沒有等,有Outdoor,環境非常優雅,燈光昏暗但是很有情調,適合幾個友人的小聚會。Drinks都很好喝,我和朋友換了幾款都不錯。這次我點了烤牛肉,非常好的牛肉,肉汁多而且香嫩可口,不過份量太大,建議女孩子還是兩人Share一份比較好。特別喜歡他們的Sides,粗薯條已經加分,後來的長豆角也可圈可點,唯獨不懂的欣賞Cheese Ball...老奶奶的蘋果湯非常Creamy,味道獨特,餐前包也好吃,總之是一個物有所值的地方,推薦!

When it came to the food:

The bread with this herby butter and salt was absolutely delicious.

My starter was the mackerel which was a little bland.

I ordered the hanger steak with chips cooked in duck fat. Now the steak was very good. However I was really disappointed that my chips that accompanied it were in a little pot and there were four of them. Yes seriously. Now if they were the best chips that I had ever tasted maybe I could have forgiven the quantity however they were just ok. We immediately ordered another side order of chips.

The desert was treacle tart which again I think was just ok.

Slightly disappointing meal. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things and will give it one more try.

如煙三文魚能切厚些感覺更好!...
蜜糖火腿配自家製芥末三文治,
微甜的蜜糖火腿跟酸酸的芥末結合得相當完美;
入口有一份豐盈感,火腿不油不柴,一小份不夠喉呢!
雖然青瓜三文治觀感較平庸,但她卻是三者中最好的一款;
爽脆新鮮,里面的洋蔥芝士醬又香又滑,很讚!

酥皮腸仔批外皮不算香酥,但勝在油份不多,配上鹹味適中的香腸,尚可!
核桃蛋批富超濃的芝士味,芝士迷應會很喜歡,批底則做得頗硬,
得花上力氣才能把她分解!

朱古力鬆餅牛油味跟朱古力味均香濃,但同樣濕潤程度不高!

名字不詳的玉桂味蛋糕質感太糊,玉桂味亦過份濃烈,不是小妹杯茶!
忌廉草莓賣相可愛,草莓較酸,里面的忌廉亦對整體幫助不大!
常溫的蛋撻外皮香脆亦不油膩,口感就像曲奇般,

但吃畢鹹點肚皮其實已滿了一大半,份量很充足呢!
價位不高,二人份才295個大洋;
像曲奇般的蛋撻是甜點之最,其他甜點則尚有進步空間;
鹹點水準則較高,三款一口三文治均不錯吃!
與好友邊悠閒品嚐下午茶,邊感受那份懷舊優雅氣息,感覺良好!

This was our first visit to this restaurant, the renovation was beautiful, nice ambiance and the food and dessert were scrumptious. We had the roasted sets, one set of roasted shoulder of pork with cider and one set of sirlion black angus beef. Both were done perfectly, the meats were juicy and succulent, and the gravy were thick and flavorsome without being too salty.
The sets came with puddings, one was the Rhubard & Stem Ginger Crumble with custard - hot and fresh, a little sourly which was ideal after a huge full main course. The other was Burnt Cambridge Cream with Lemon & Poppy seed cookies - It was so delicius, absolutely smooth and creamy, loved the crisp top of just-burnt sugar, full of vanilla flavour and poppy seed, cool and not overly sweet. It was just like if you were having a vanilla icecream! The waitress who served us was friendly, and inviting. However, one of the waiter who served us a bit was really unpleasing. He did not place the menu right, set the meals down loudly on the table. When you ask him something he simply responded with an unpleasant attitude making the customers really annoyed! That's totally unacceptable! The attitude was overall below the standards. What a spoiler! The foods were great but they really need to train up the standards of their waiters.

看得出也吃得出放在麵包旁邊的海鹽、牛油等只是一般貨色,不算有太大的特別,但,最驚喜的是那個洋蔥包
。洋蔥包是以一個木盤子盛著,並且原個而上,帶著濃厚的歐陸風味;它的味道不會像尖沙咀 Morton's of Chicago 那個洋蔥包般濃烈,但反而是輕輕滲透出來的模樣
,口感帶點香甜,包身鬆軟且細密;再塗上一點兒的牛油來吃,油潤中帶點鹹味,入口順滑,真的好吃!


過去我曾居住過倫敦,每天差不多也會吃到炸魚薯條;回港後,反而較少吃了!
這裡的炸魚,外層厚薄均衡,炸得金黃鬆脆,內裡夾著熱燙燙的魚肉,帶有嚼勁,
真的做到外脆內軟;再點上一點檸檬汁、紅醋及他他醬伴吃,特別惹味!魚塊吃起來很新鮮,水份亦能保留;
厚切薯條亦炸得非常香脆,薯仔味夠香,正!

埋單約 $2100,很好吃的一餐!

老朋友,希望你快些再回來香港公幹,大家又可一齊出來吃飯聚舊啊!

第一次寫食評!一直都唔識打中文,直到出咗google input tool,我都可以加入依個大家庭啦!之前有朋友係日本返尼香港玩,見咁耐冇見就諗住去啲chill啲嘅地方食lunch,朋友同我都係愛環境之人,所以就諗住去the pawn 睇睇有咩好食!裏面嗰裝修好靚啊!搞到我有啲想番英國:)果時得番無事都可以落london high個tea,扮下貴族lol唔講廢話住,actually個set lunch 都ok底,有appertizer,main dish,dessert 都係200蚊有找!如果有時間我一定會再嚟!但係佢平日都幾多人,如果要make sure一定有得食,真係要book定枱呀,不過我覺得balcony好正!夏天可能會hot左啲。。。下次比較想試下佢個tea set:)唔知而家有無加價呢。。。。

吃完晚飯以後要在灣仔找一個喝東西的地方不難,但要避開駱克道繁囂的酒吧,那麼到這個優雅的 The Pawn 的確是一個不錯的選擇。到這裡吃飯倒試過一次,喝東西卻是我的第一次,原來要走到一樓的 Living Room. 可能是星期一晚的關係,在這裡喝東西的人不多,基本上想坐甚麼位置也可以。想到露台出面一邊喝東西一邊欣賞街景,可惜吸煙的客人實在太多,我只好到室內的 sofa 位置。牆壁中掛著和昌大押的照片,燈與及杯墊也是特別設計的,好不時尚。點了一杯子 mojito 給自己,還算是不錯的配方。RUM 酒跟 SODA WATER 的分量剛好,不太苦;加上薄荷的清香,為悶熱的晚上帶來一點清涼的感覺。而且份量不少,大大杯的,也算是划算吧。整個晚上十分適合跟朋友來談心,音樂音量適中,也沒有侍應在旁打擾,二人分享一台沙發,悠然自得。為食鴨分數: 8/10

The fisk was a tiny blackened fillet halh on top of boiled bakchoy. Tasteless and awful dish that should have been sent back. As we are not accustomed to causing a scene nor taking photos, we just walked off irate and disgusted. MP的Ham Hock Pressing底部墊著brioche,既鬆軟又香牛油味的麵包,我很喜歡。這客pressing很能撐胃,火腿肉果真壓得很實在,可惜入口就是欠了一份鹹香。也可能因為選用的是較瘦的肉,故也少了份肥美質感。倒是覺得頂部的蛋黃很有趣,與這客火腿就是可愛地格格不入。

24 hour berrshire pork belly是一份很美好的主菜。用了24小時燩煮的豬腩肉,真的很靚 (心裡唱了 "仲有最靚既豬腩肉"出來
),皮又脆,感覺有點像中式燒肉。肥肉已沒有討厭的入口油膩感覺,反而是很酥香,與瘦肉部分連成一體,是我少有會吃肥膏的時候,那一刻都豁出去了。我也喜歡底面都脆的薯仔餅,不過這樣加起來熱量很高呢!

他們的fish pie內有sole, salmon, tuna and prawns四種海鮮,當中最好吃的是sole,因為這種魚尚算可以抵受高溫煮法而不會過嚡口,但吞拿魚和三文魚就始終遜色一點。Mashed potatoes的奶味濃郁,芝味反而次一層,剛焗起時熱呼呼是最好吃的!

來到最後一個course,甜品。menu上的甜品叫我們很難揀,因為看起來都不太吸引,結果物如其名.....

這是ginger crumble配earl grey custard,與我們想像的有點出入,本以為是類似apple crumble的。這杯其實說到底是一個cream,未能吃得出伯爵茶味,也沒有crumble那種牛油香的脆脆碎,吃不到一半我就放棄了,留下MP孤軍作戰。

是個traditional English dessert,裡面的是厚身的糖漿造的fillings。吃起來煙煙靭靭的,口感不錯,我們比較少吃這種sticky dessert,總有點新鮮感。但最叫人吃驚的是menu上寫著是配blood orange sorbet,但我們得到的是像啫喱口感的血橙東東,說它是啫喱就未免太粉,說它是sorbet就簡直是個騙局。所以總括這個甜品環節是不甚滿意的。

員工都經常面帶笑容,

坐下不夠便送上了Larmandier-Bernier Champagne,

和新鮮熱哄哄的麵包,

Soda Bread外層烤得香脆可口,

內裡卻是軟綿綿,

配上顏色十分粉嫩的糖漿醃三文魚,

三文魚的油香很濃厚,

帶有點點甜味,

份量非常充足的烤羊,

足夠二人一同分享!

這個烤羊肉並沒有羶味,

烤焗時間和技術都處理得恰到好處,

肉質不乾不油,非常嫩滑

肉汁則很多, 十分Juicy!

配菜都做得一絲不苟,

有我喜歡的青豆配上Bacon同青蔥,

另外薯蓉帶點點煙薰的味道,

但仍然敵不了甜品的誘惑,

甜品當然離不開能讓人溶化的甜蜜蜜Hot Chocolate Fondant,

朱古力心太軟配上牛奶雪糕,

絕對是不會錯的絕配!

朱古力味道十分濃郁,
