Finally got to try this famous authentic yakitori joint that I have bookmarked for a long time, which I was so looking forward to this meal, and did not disappoint.

first time trying chicken crown and esophagus..I quite like the chicken crown..

Overall, I think toritama definitely lives up to the hype, I can totally see why they are one of the top yakitori places in hk, worth trying if u want some authentic Japanese yakitori..

香港地食燒鳥黎講,最多人中意一定係呢間  ,討論度甚至比一星的  更多,不過還沒有吃過Yardbird,所以就比較不了。 Yakitori來說,我只吃過  跟這間,可惜的是鳥匠我吃完只記得那個用熟成清酒搭上雪糕的甜品,而且做的是A la Carte而非Omakase,對於不熟於雞部位的客人也是無從入手,而Toritama則是我每三兩個月就會想起,大概是身體最誠實吧。價錢來說,其實吃燒鳥omakase比壽司來得便宜多了,整個omakase才600多,就有12串加上雞湯、沙律、親子丼和名物醬油雪糕,基本上都飽得吃不下。猶記得當時還沒重開晚市,午餐跟朋友帶上兩枝清酒,沒入黑便已經飲飽吃醉了,不過即使沒有帶酒也不用怕,這裡的酒單也是非常不俗,有近百種清酒,也有單點by glass,小酌怡情,不過現在的預約期好像都要等上兩三個月,在香港吃晚飯不容易啊。•免治雞肉•雞軟骨✨•雞肝•雞腎邊皮🌟•雞尾•雞胸三葉卷•雞全心✨•雞腿肉✨•雞翼

One of my favorite yakitori places. Must-order dishes were the chicken oyster, grilled rice ball and the grilled cheese. This particular experience was worth writing about cos of the impressive service. First of all, we arrived but they couldn’t find our reservation. Turned out I booked the wrong month (turning up one month early). Very 7 but the manager said he would make some arrangements and ended up putting us by the window. Secondly halfway through our very animated conversation I swiped my glass of wine off the high table. Staff immediately appeared and began mopping etc. Glass fragments disappeared and another glass of wine appeared within minutes.
In summary, THE place to go for yakitori.

由於選擇障礙發作,我決定點12串的廚師發板套餐,配菜、有幾款選擇的米飯、雞湯及豉油雪糕($688)。
還未點餐,餐前小食已經送上,分別是青瓜條、甘筍條和白蘿蔔條,蘸蒜蓉醬食,清新爽口。另一小碟是白蘿蔔蓉和一隻鵪鶉蛋,撈勻來食,有助減低燒烤的燥熱。

點好餐後到上第一件串燒有一段時間,在這一段時間內我就觀察一下枱面上的調味料,發現有兩款不同的麵豉醬,分別是白味噌及赤味噌,赤味噌帶點微辣,另外見到有三罐不同顏色的味粉,分別是咖啡色的山椒粉、紅色的七味粉和黃色的姜粉。
我比較喜歡白味增、赤味增、七味粉和山椒粉,薑粉就味道太清淡,而且香味不足,大量灑上也沒什麼味道。

當我與雞肉丸及各式醬料玩得不亦悅乎時,雞軟骨上場了,部位是膝部的軟骨,是純粹的軟骨部位,口感非常爽脆,以鹽簡單調味,正好可以和雞肉丸的口感作對比,不過吃多幾塊就略嫌單調。

日本七里香出場,這是未生過雞蛋的處女雞屁股,果然夠粉嫩😝,絲毫沒有羶味,油脂香氣四溢,調味加了些蒜蓉牛油,甘香誘人。我比較喜歡配上七味粉,因為辣椒及芝麻的香氣進一步提升了味道。

與第二串的雞膝蓋軟骨不同,這次是雞胸的軟骨加上旁邊的皮和肉,既提供了軟骨的爽脆口感,旁邊的皮肉也是調味得剛剛好非常入味,雞肉香氣四溢,是人間美味。對比膝蓋軟骨,我更喜歡這串雞胸軟骨。

第十串:雞大腿內側肉
這串雞大腿內側肉是所有雞肉串燒中我數一數二喜歡的,大腿內側肉非常柔軟多汁,配上秘製的甜滷醬汁,更能將雞肉的味道發揮得淋漓盡致。頭一塊及最後一塊雞肉因為醬汁足夠,原味吃就已經十分美味了,中間的雞肉因為調味醬汁比較少,可以配上七味粉或山椒粉同吃,增添香味。

「雞牡蠣」(chicken oyster)是雞大腿骨對上的一塊圓肉,軟滑香甜,汁豐味美。外國人形容這是一隻雞最美味的一塊肉,所以形容為美味如生蠔,是絕對不能錯過的部位。這份串燒除了這塊圓肉外,更包上一塊雞皮一起燒,雞皮香酥酥脆,充滿油脂香味,雞肉多汁嫩滑,真不愧是招牌。

吃到這裏沒有覺得很飽,所以根據朋友的建議追加了四串。後來才發現忘記了套餐內包的雞湯及飯,所以最後有點太飽了。

發現餐廳有如此獨特的部位:雞冠,當然要來一份試試。和想像的不同,雞冠並不是爽脆的,而是充滿骨膠原的、帶點軟糯的,口感特別,值得一試。

不知為何我從小就喜歡吃雞心,不過一般家裏煮一隻雞也只有一件雞心,難得這裏可以一串有幾件雞心,當然要叫來吃過過癮。雞心選用醬燒方式,調味到位,口感需要咀嚼,有雞心的甘香,是少數人喜歡吃的味道,我就很喜歡。

總的來說味道不錯,但是價錢略為昂貴,而且店員沒有介紹桌上的調味吃法及用法,我要自己逐個去問,幾次也要提醒才會加茶,在餐廳只坐一半客人的情況下,服務稍嫌不足,只有日本師傅服務比較到位,最後我離開時親自出迎送我離開,笑容滿面向我鞠躬說謝謝,很有誠意。

My orginial booking was on the typhoon day (T8), so booking has been rescheduled. Toritama’s booking was really full, I have picked their window table instead of the kitchen counter in order to secure a table by November.


I did not expect the “window table” was facing the road and besides the entrance. I should do more research before accepting the seat arrangement🥺. It was quite frustrating as I enjoy watching the chef cook!!


Toritama serves almost 30 different parts of chicken. They have a large menu of skewers, non-grilled dishes and sake! We only ordered their skewers (a-la-carte) and I was really excited as I was a huge fans of yakitori!! I preordered the 𝐀𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚 心血管, 𝐓𝐡𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 甲狀腺 and 𝐄𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐬 食道, which were all rare chicken parts!! You may not brave enough to try if they are not come from Japan😝🐓🇯🇵 We ordered the below and those with 🌟 are highly recommended!

𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫: They were a bit overcooked..I will say those I had in Birdie were much much better.
𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐭 (𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 & 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤), I was excepting much tender and moist.


Regarding the 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, they were not taking any initiative while we have no ideas what to order. They provided better service for their regular customers obviously..


Overall, it was worth to try! The skewers were rare and difficult to find in town! However, as a popular yakitori restaurant in Tokyo, we were expecting better service and better quality of food.


Anyway, I will still recommending you to try if you are 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 like me😛😉
