老公點了《青蘋果芝士土司》
青蘋果的味道酸酸甜甜的好夏日的FEEL喔~
配上厚厚又軟軟的芝士味道好特別!!
口感一邊脆又一邊軟的老公說好有趣喔!我本來點了《辣蝦土司》
最後來錯了幫我再做還是做錯了=_= 就算了吧!!
反正也是蝦 只是我不愛牛油果而已啦
這個來錯的《牛油果蝦土司》味道都算是不錯
只是整個味道都是淡淡的 沒什麼特別!!

見到廚師在烹調這道菜,濽酒的時候忽然火光熊熊,真是很有鑊氣的啊。其實這是炒牛肝菌和雜菌,上面撒點香草,再放上一隻煎得脆脆的蛋,一上桌已經香噴噴。正如餐牌上所說,當然要把蛋黃「篤」開,讓香濃的蛋汁跟各式菇類混在一起吃才是王道啦。

多口問句有沒有甜品服務員竟拿來了一大個黑板的甜品餐牌!

這個外頭炸得有點硬,裡面也有點乾,質感比較像餅乾,我乾脆當小時候吃那種「XX杯」零食來吃。

這樣子買單也要近二百,如果 happy hour 來喝點什麼加點小食,也不是低消費的啊。

Drove past this restaurant a few times and always wanted to try it.
We made a booking about 1 hour before we got there and turned out to be zero waiting time which was good.
I personally like to have a drink before dinner, so I ordered a draft beer. They only have one type of draft beer (San Miguel), so i ordered one pint, 5 minutes later, a waitress told me that the beer has just finished. Fair enough I thought, then a chef came over (probably the owner since his accent was heavily European) and apologized to me that there was no draft beer left and gave me a 1/2 pint of beer and said it's the last bit of beer left in the can and it's on the house (free of charge). I was happy with that at that stage.
So I finished the 1/2 pint and we ordered our food , and I ordered one more pint, the stone cold waitress then told me , 'we are getting the refill just for you from nearby and I am all wet because of the rain'. So I waited , and I looked at the waitress a few times just to see whether the beer is ready yet. And she repeated what she said a few more times, presumably wanting me to feel bad about her having to make the effort of getting my beer.
At this stage, 40 minutes had passed and I was still holding my temper. Then the beer came.... 1/2 filled , and the waitress said I had the half pint already and gave me the rest of the pint, sorry I just lost it at that stage, wouldn't anybody?? So damn cheap ! I am happy to pay for anything I eat and drink, and don't treat me like a beggar ! Then my wife calmly told her that the first 1/2 pint was complimentary from the chef and pls fill the damn glass up , we will pay for it.
At this stage, doesn't matter how good or bad the food was, I swear I would never go back.
The waitresses were extremely unprofessional and under trained. I believe the chef made a very nice gesture by offering me a free half pint but his staff totally ruined his professionalism for him.
Good luck to them in such a competitive market.

Having an open kitchen is not a good idea unless a restaurant is sure their kitchen staff are professional and food is fresh.

For Spanish cuisine I must say the food is quite ok, however may b I'm not an expert in Spanish food therefore some of the food I found to be quite simple & doesn't seem to be worth that much ! (eg, pan fried sardine, deep fried calamari, asparagus with goat cheese). I'm sure you can refer to other people's report for food comments. However I believe the kitchen head staff in is one of the most unprofessional chef I have ever come across, he literally puts me off my appetite with the way he cooks his meal, since they work from an open kitchen therefore I was able to see everything. His favorite cooking utensil is a thong clamp & when he's not using it he would pinch it under his armpit with the opening end directly inside his armpit, imagine we all have to eat his cooking from that utensil, gross ! Another thing is he sweats a lot & he never wears any headgear (although many of his subordinates have to wear a bandana), I can clearly see his sweat gets drip onto the food he prepares & then being sent out to customer's table, again gross !
If you can put up with this kind of behavior then i guess it's worth dining there, otherwise better stay away ! I'm not sure if I'd go back to that place again (unless they have a change of chef). That's my 2 cents worth of opinion !

The Spruiker was pretty convincing (or should I say I was reading the external menu, and a friendly staff came out and explained to me their Happy Hour policy!). As an ex-King Parrots Group member, I didn't mind giving this Spanish Tapas Bar a trial run first....Ordered one of their Spanish Wines by the glass, which is Buy-1-Get-1-Free. This is fast becoming a rare deal these days, as most shops only offer a 30% discount nowadays! The wine was not bad at this price point at all!.A free

A free snack of an eggy plain Tortilla was also given. The layered potatoes and the eggs with a bit of onion, but done pretty ok. But somehow, it was a bit too cold and there was too much potatoes in proportion - this leads me to think, I've had some ordinary Spanish meals at their other El Cid shops a few times...... It tasted too localized for my liking!

好了,又係時候叫甜品,今次來兩款,檸檬撻和焦糖燉蛋。前者質感偏實,好在撻皮仍是脆,同埋勝在檸檬味夠酸,帶出清新感覺。

燉蛋是西班牙式做法,據店員說西班牙籍師傅每天只會做五個,而且這燉蛋不能放久,所以保証新鮮。試一口,是檸檬的味道,還有幾分似custard,混合了雲尼拿籽,幾特別,質感又是幾滑溜的,加上面頭脆脆的焦糖,不錯的。

豐富的午餐過後,又要返回工作崗位搏殺。為了賺更多錢吃美味食物,真要努力工作呀!

素tapas中揀了香草芝士炒什菌,什菌大概有三四種,印象中是冬菇對每位,口感頗有彈性,菇味也最突出。芝士似乎就不夠突出,倒是香草香氣很濃郁,總體來說也算是蠻輕怡的一個tapas。

肉類tapas就選了我倆都喜愛的些厘酒燴牛肋骨配什菜,平日紅酒燴牛尾就吃得多,Sherry就少見些,這其實是一款產自西班牙的白葡萄酒,甜味較重,用來佐火腿肉應該很不錯。要讚的莫屬燉得十分腍,用叉子叉下去肉就散開了,而且牛肋骨帶點肥膏,入口即與瘦肉融為一體,揮發出絲絲脂香。

甜品只有三款,不免有點失望。與昂貴的tapas相比,價格倒便宜的不太正常,只要$28一件。選了侍應推介的的朱古力慕斯配雜莓果醬,這道甜品有點黑森林蛋糕的影子,朱古力慕斯下面藏著酸甜不造作的車厘子果醬,朱古力濃度比較溫和,香滑甘醇亦不失甜美。只不過整件甜品太小份,吃兩口就沒了…

吃的時候就隱約覺得很有King Parrot的風格,菜系風味不夠鮮明,頗有點港式口味,但吃起來感覺又不錯;而且份量微細價錢不菲。埋單時一看賬單,果不其然…TC是很喜愛『鸚鵡王』的出品,我就覺得可一而不可再,想吃西班牙菜的話,可別來這兒。

說真的未入店已被其有個性的裝潢吸引,除了黑毛豬腿還有各色其式的地中海式杯碗。坐下來找點吃的打發時間,打量擺設時,發現是king parrot的品牌,難怪有似曾相識的味道。心涼了一截,既然飲了人家免費提供的水,總不能白飲吧?叫來一客黑毛豬多士,是無花果配風乾火退及薄片生菜,口感有軟有硬有腍,不懂欣賞,黑毛豬火腿既不油潤亦欠鹹香,不過回想起來,靚的火腿每克也要兩三塊錢,這類兩片收廿塊左右,雖然口說加多八塊可到勝香園吃豐富早餐,但這個價錢,遇著下欄貨也實在怪不得人,唯有提醒自己下次不用再來就是了。

Went there for lunch at around 130pm, and surprisingly it wasn't full. Went there for lunch at around 130pm, and surprisingly it wasn't full. Guess it's kinda pricey for the service and food they serve for a lunch hour.

So as this was a lunch celebration, we ordered mostly a la carte -- Plato Espanol (Parma ham platter); Aquacate y Garnbas (Advocado with Prawn toast); Grilled Prawns with olive oil; and finally from the daily menu, the Beef Paella.

The ham platter was superb... had 5 types of ham/sausage and 2 types of cheese. All had their distinctive tastes and really couldn't stop eating!!! They served with a basket of bread, which was crispy and went well with the cheese.


The prawn toast was quite small, really a bite size, but the mix of advocado and prawn was nice indeed! The prawn was quite fresh and the toast was crisy! Encore!


The grilled prawns and the beef paella were disappointing... the prawns were simply grilled, and didnt have much taste to it, and the paella had no taste to it, but the beef was marinated and cooked well.

Forgot to mention, the service is not so good there... the waitress wouldnt give us any recommendations as she claimed all dishes were popular
and while we were eating, some girl came up to promote the restaurant's VIP card... errr.. thanks for interrupting our meal.

食物方面,正宗不正宗,我不懂,不過對我黎講幾好食。地方小小,歡樂時光好地方,主打小食飲杯野,附近很少這類店,應該有回頭,不過要飽肚的不合。初開,人手唔多夠,上菜亦要等好一會,還有進步既空間。

喜歡小吃飲杯野,這裡幾唔錯下。

炸蕃薯伴香辣蛋黃醬:突出之處黎自自製既蛋黃醬。整體味道温和、帶微辣;黃、紫甜蕃薯沾上蛋黃醬後,蛋黃醬絶無搶風頭,蕃薯甜香同蛋黃醬食味均能平均發揮,配撘果然有巧究。

36個月 Iberio Ham:

西班牙黑毛豬火腿係我既至愛之一,分別有 32 同36 個月兩種,最少份量 50g,售價分別為 $105 同 $150。至於 80g 或 100g 既售價以 50g 售價作基準,相對平宜一 d 。
入口香軟、濃濃鹹香中帶醬菓香味,入口既餘香,令人著迷,愈食就愈想食!

牛尾批伴蕃茄辣醬:

講到批,通常都係一個大圓形,但呢個批就好小巧,由3隻細批組成。
首先講下酥皮,技巧確實到家!皮既厚簿恰到好處,入口唔油膩,口感柔軟、濕潤,一 d 都唔覺張喉滯口。饀料既碎牛尾肉有彈性又入味,與香濃醬料混和。但竟意想唔到咁細既批裡仲夾雜左煙靭既牛筋,口感、層次同時兼顧。而辣茄醬用新鮮蕃茄做成,味道清新,襯上濃味既饀料,剛好平衡得宜。仲係即叫即做,認真一絲不苟!
終於明白小批既好處,厨師係有佢既道理。

扒沙甸魚香草橄欖油:餐廳經理推介,做到一般水平。最突出既要算係煎得甘香脆口既魚皮。

蒜片蝦:亦係餐廳經理推介,蝦用橄欖油、蒜蓉同香草慢煮而成,所以蝦肉保持鮮嫩兼富有甜味,將蝦連香草、蒜蓉一齊入口,感覺又香又鮮!

餐廳屬於 Causal 風格兼主打 Tapas,並無無傳統西班牙既燒乳豬、西班牙海鮮飯供應。但 Tapas 選擇算少,只有 6 款素食、8 款肉類、同9款海鮮。反觀餐酒種類唔小。另有西班牙香腸及沙律可供外賣。

服務:由於氣氛 Causal,基本侍應都相當友善同輕鬆,比一般傳統西班牙餐廳來得輕鬆。
