Im usually not a fan of chicken wings but this one i love! The chicken wings are lightly fried so it's crispy on the outside and tender chicken meat on the inside. The mentaiko inside was just extra goodness to add to the chicken wings! Loved every bite of this. It's a must order!

The grilled mochi is soft inside and a little bit crispy on the outside. There's a surprise while u take bites of the inside, there's hints of cheese flavor to it. I love how the cheese is not over powering so you won't get sick of it. Another must eat from Wai Wai!

I also had the agedashi, grilled pork wrapped with asparagus, and grilled gingko. They were all very good as well. But the 3 dishes on top are my favorite from Wai Wai. I'll definitely come back for more!

可能因為我只係食一碗面,始終未食到居酒屋的精綷,我只能比中評,希望有一日會有三五知己同我一齊黎分享美食吧

有理由相信他們忘了加芥辣,就是沒有了芥辣,整碟八爪魚就變得只有死咸,沒有叫人醒神的芥辣味,很失望。唯一好處就是八爪魚爽口,但食材再新鮮被不當地處理,就製不成美食。

2. 燒茄子(沒有拍照啊)
又是一道味淡如水的食物,吃不到燒的感覺,似把茄子煮熟加點木魚就上枱,誠意欠奉。

3. 燒飯團 (鯉魚絲及三文魚)

問題在於飯團燒得很硬,而不是脆,我們年紀輕牙齒還可以,但也嫌太硬,連食的樂趣都失去了。吃著這個飯團,我就想念九龍區的”求婚飯團”....

這一夜雖然吃得不夠盡興,但大家聊得高興都算是一個補償。

最後也點了澱粉質食物來吃,正想著吃飯糰還是茶漬飯,怕飯糰吃下太飽濟,就點了梅肉茶漬飯,$55,感覺相對的清。吃時把芥末混勻於飯內,梅酸中滲出微微芥末味,味道怡人,不會溜濟,這個飯好吃。

第一次來吃真的是很機緣巧合下吃到一家地雷店後來溝貨的, 跟姐姐二人都覺得這裡好吃很對我們的味. 再之後亦約了幾位女生好友來這邊進行friday girls' night out點了很多食物, 吃完之後有些意見. 以下的全都是我覺得好吃比較值得一試的螢光魷魚送酒的好前菜, 這裡的螢光魷魚吃起來較新鮮, 我吃過肉質很霉的螢光魷魚但這裡不會鹹香十足, 魷魚的鹹香真的很好送酒, 我喜歡連旁邊的薑一起吃, 減低一點魷魚的鹹味毛茄納豆不是人人都愛吃的一道, 但我跟姐姐都很喜歡這味, 沒辦法我們吃的口味太相像了納豆攪到過後牽絲, 豆味濃郁, 調味也很剛好. 配以毛茄整道都是黏滑的前菜有些人一定不喜歡這樣的質感, 但我們就很喜歡. 從小到大我都愛吃黏滑質感的食物燒雞肝這類的雞類串燒做得不錯, 燒得恰到好處, 雞肝都是大件大件的燒汁味道很好, 不會過甜, 雞肝也烤得剛好剛熟, 因為肝類煮得太過火就一定會不好吃了煙肉燒年糕這個是我第一次這樣吃年糕, 想不到也很不錯. 煙肉的鹹味跟脆脆的質感正好搭著年糕軟糯, 沒什麼味道的不足. 喜歡吃年糕的人也會喜歡這個不過如果煙肉就烤脆身一點就會更好吃燒拖羅筋吃起來沒有

不是人人都愛吃的一道, 但我跟姐姐都很喜歡這味, 沒辦法我們吃的口味太相像了
納豆攪到過後牽絲, 豆味濃郁, 調味也很剛好. 配以毛茄整道都是黏滑的前菜

燒拖羅筋
吃起來沒有任何腥味, 但有很濃的魚油香. 旁邊也帶著些魚肉
筋位蠻滑的但就沒有想像中的軟, 烤得不錯但略嫌味道有點淡
加多點鹽下去的話味道應該也會大大加分呢

這個我們吃過兩次, 第一次的水準比第二次的好
豚肉很薄, 包著滿滿的明太子, 包的很好看之餘也很好吃
明太子的鹹香我最喜歡, 因為鹹香中也有很濃的魚籽香味
因為明太子是濕的, 配著烤得乾身的豬肉就很對味, 豬肉味道也有, 不會被明太子的鹹味搶過

愛吃茄子的我不忘點了這個. 田樂燒是以甜麵豉去烤茄子. 賣相很一般但其實好吃
選用了日本種的茄子, 肉質較硬實, 但也被烤得軟身. 甜麵豉下得剛好
不會太少或太多醬影響了茄子的味道, 很好吃, 我可以一個人吃掉一份

來這裡一定要試試他們的雞肉棒. 很多時候在外面吃的雞肉棒都是來貨
但和居和居的是自己人手製的, 第一次吃雞肉棒裡面有很多碎雞軟骨, 很有咬口
第二次吃比較沒有那麼多骨了, 但雞肉仍很彈牙

被照片的賣相吸引而點的, 味道也不差喔. 豬柳非常熱, 新鮮炸起的, 我們也不能立刻吃

最後要點個飯團作結, 這邊口味選擇蠻多的, 明太子三文魚梅子都有
我就喜歡紫蘇梅子這個組合, 梅子醬酸香, 配上紫蘇的味道很搭
飯團烤得很香脆, 裡面的飯軟綿, 吃完這個真的很飽了

吃過很多, 覺得這裡的燒物比起煮物做得出色得多, 所以來這裡大可選擇燒物
因為吃過滑蛋豬排, 薯仔燉肉等等都非常一般
可能轉了手, 這裡的服務很好, 不像以前的那樣無禮貌. 如果要選去吃居酒屋, 這裡是我很推薦的一家

近來fb上面不斷看到有食友post這間小店的照片,還記得很久以前看過食評說這裡的是不准拍照的,還有不愉快事件發生,看來店家現在也屈服了,沒再阻止客人拍照。上一次和食友見面的時候提起這裡,大家都相當有很興趣,所以找個藉口再多拉幾個朋友來試。店子很小,座位不算很多,我們一行七個人,坐在餐廳最裡面的長檯。牆上掛著手寫的食物牌,木顏色的裝潢和黃色的燈光,真的好像去了日式的居酒屋。鄰座有一檯四人男子團的客人,在喝酒聊天,聲浪有點大,不過也無損我們的心情,最重要是食物好吃。首先每位都有一小碟前菜,是八爪魚沙律,醬汁帶少許甜味,八爪魚非常彈牙爽口。蕃茄蘿蔔牛油果沙律。牛油果夠熟,軟腍腍的,中間除了洋蔥絲,還有白蘿蔔絲,兩者都很清爽,配上酸酸的柚子醋汁,好好吃,特別是洋蔥絲,本身多汁又帶少許甜。芝士年糕。萬眾期待的芝士年糕,看照片樣子十分吸引。味道其實我覺得還不錯,裡面的芝士呈半溶狀態,不過不知道是不是因為年糕層比較薄,所以欠了點煙靭的咬口,比較軟腍,所以同桌極愛吃芝士年糕的方向食友說感覺太粉,不夠Q,但實際上水準已經比很多地方做得好。燒雞心和燒牛舌,兩款我都不吃的,個人不能評價,但本來少吃雞心的食友

明太子卷。豚肉薄片包著明太子和紫蘇葉,醮著梅子醬一起吃,都幾開胃,不過有食友就說太鹹,可能是吃不慣明太子吧,而且夾的時候要小心,因為裡面的明太子餡很容易會掉出來。

燒鯖魚。經常會點的鯖魚,上檯時魚皮還在自我燃燒著,看樣子很不錯。鯖魚本身夠味,但我覺得還是要配一點帶酸酸的汁,魚的味道才更突出,而且魚的油份也沒預期的多,我和食友都一致覺得丼丼屋食堂的燒鯖魚更勝一籌。

甜麵豉醬燒茄子。食友都笑說賣相很奇怪,不過之前我在日本也吃過這種,他們稱之為田樂,在食物面塗上大量麵豉醬再燒。 田樂味道一向都比較濃,食友們覺得味道太重,但這個跟我在日本吃到的差不多,茄子燒得又夠軟腍,不錯的說的。

燒免治雞肉棒。因為評價不俗,所以我們一人點了一客。一支雞肉棒放在小碗上,下面特製醬汁和一隻生雞蛋,賣相吸引。吃法是用雞肉棒把蛋和汁攪拌,然後醮著汁吃的,醬汁甜甜的,味道還不錯,不過如果雞肉裡面有像雞軟骨棒的軟骨或者加入馬蹄等爽脆口感就更加好。

燒飯糰。我們點了鰹魚絲和梅子口味的飯糰,外層烤得夠脆,醬油的顏色均勻,吃的時候脆脆的,不過沒有紫菜包著吃像總差了點什麼。兩種口味我比較喜歡鰹魚絲,有淡淡的魚香,相反梅子就酸了點。

埋單每人一百八十多,不太飽,但已經想不到要點什麼,我想如果要吃飽的話,每人應該要二百五十以上才行。食物質素還不錯,不過同行食友說貴夾不飽,一個燒飯糰就要$40,但晚上吃日本菜本來就不特別便宜,如果預算夠的話,我還是會推介給朋友的。

A lady approached us and showed us to the back of the restaurant towards a table for two. It was kind of tight but acceptable. I was quite startled when she asked us for drinks straight away after our butt touched the seats. But we knew what we wanted already so there is no problem. Then we were given the menu. After studying the menu and the special dishes displayed on the wall, we ordered:
* Grilled ox tongue
- super delish and juicy!!!!
* Grilled mackerel
- very succulent, not dry at all... juicy is the word I can give here
* Yakitori - chicken gizzard, chicken skin, chicken soft bone, kurobuta wrap asparagus & tsukune
all very high standard!!!! especially tsukune, I usually won't order it because of the strong taste of onion but this one is just uber yum plus the soy & egg sauce compliments it very well. Great combination
* Grilled cheese mochi
- was amazed with the texture & taste!!! cheese's saltiness with a hint of sweetness from mochi is fantastic, the whole combination is soft centred with a slightly grilled outer skin is one that would blow your mind off. It's not the kind that will stick to your upper jaw.
* Hamburg steak
- soft and juicy just a little salty for me, overall it's a good dish
* Tobiko roe salad - soso dish

The service was great and helpful, even though it's quite slow. But the quality of the food is worth the wait. The waiter even moved us to a bigger table which is great. Darling was happy to order second round because of the move as it became more comfortable to sit longer for it.


The meal cost $680, it's on the higher end of the scale yet the food is also on the high-end quality as well. Definitely will be back for any celebration!!! LOL

食物方面, 持平的說, 真的不錯. 最好吃的是明太子燒飯團和免治雞肉棒.
但我會不會再來幫襯? sorry, 香港大把選擇, 用不著同自己過唔去.

This is the worst service I have ever seen in my whole life!!!! The boss is a horrible guy!!!!
My friends and I came to this restaurant at about 10pm. We did not order much food as we all had eaten full afternoon tea.
The story was that when we were about to leave and payed the bill, we just found out that we were over-charged. We asked for the reason, and the boss came to our table, and said that one of us brought a bottle of drink here, they charged us a penalty-fee about 30 dollars. The friend who asked him couldn't speak perfect English, and the boss's facial expression was like talking to some barbarians and he became so mad!!!! He even asked us never come back to this restaurant again, his face was telling us that they only serve "quality-people".
I don't really understand why he was that mad and kept saying never tried to cheat on him. IF HE TOLD US POLITELY, we would be more than happy to pay the fee. When we just wanted to make the bill clear, is it necessary to be that rude?
When we knew the reason, we paid the charge, the service charge and even paid the extra tip. Honestly we didn't MIND to pay more, but why he needed to treat us like that and left us with embarrassment?!!!!!! WE DID PAYED!!!!!!!
If you really want to serve some quality people, why don't you just post a poster on the door saying "fluent English speaker only"!!!!!!!! (though I can speak English fluently lol)
When I was having the meal, I planned to invite my Taiwanese friends to have a good Japanese meal here. And thanks the boss, I need to reconsider a good restaurant now. Shame on that boss!!!!!

And if the boss has any chances to read this post, I really want to tell you that in London or South West England, when the boss of the restaurant does not welcome some customers, he simply just asked them to leave and it is like kind of culture that we just fee you the meal because it is the compensate that the restaurant doesn't want to serve you anymore. AND I REALLY WANT TO TELL YOU THAT IT IS US THAT CHOOSING NOT TO COME TO THIS RESTAURANT ANYMORE!!!!

FYI, I have worked in plenty of good restaurants in the UK for few years, including Michelin Stared restaurant. And the only thing I can say is that this restaurant is way toooooo far to be one of the best restaurant in CWB in terms of their service, not to mention to be the recommended restaurants in Hong Kong.

I am so regret that I did not argue back as it is so shocking that people can be that MEAN.

忽然想吃芝士年糕?還想什麼,來這裡買兩客外賣。

店方烤好拿走,回到家做了點小功夫,已經回覆外脆內軟。吃起來裡面的餡煙韌非常,滿有芝士的香味。在這個新年不吃年糕,吃日式年糕也可以。

在等外賣的時候,忽發奇想,在翌日已另有行動。

寒暄一輪後, 師傅就問下萍姐有咩想食, 而萍姐就話呢間食店嘅燒芝士年糕好出名, 係必試, 師傅估唔到萍姐都有做過下功課喎; 於是大家再商量一陣最後柯打左燒芝士年糕, 凍蕃茄, 串燒免治雞肉棒, 燒雞中冀, 燒牛舌, 燒雞軟骨同埋燒鯖魚, 再每人一杯生啤!

要知道師傅都有好一段長時間冇同萍姐飲過, 難得萍姐唔識死地陪師傅飲, 真係妙極! 落完單先有個小食, 係青瓜海浙, 青瓜幾清爽而海浙就算爽口, 味道微辣, 不錯! 之後第一道菜式登場, 佢就係凍蕃茄, 如果師傅冇記錯凍蕃茄係賣六十蚊一份, 賣得咁貴師傅當然好想知到底有幾多隻蕃茄啦, 最後發現只得一隻時真係有少少失望, 將一隻蕃茄切片, 感覺好似多幾件, 但實在係珍而重之; 於是將片凍蕃茄放入口後, 發覺凍蕃茄十分鮮甜, 而且亦非常多汁, 入口清新舒服, 配上少少沙律醬亦份外醒胃, 整個凍蕃茄真係十分美味, 好味到停唔到口, 當下真係有衝動再柯打多一客, 而師傅呢一刻都流緊口水, 雖然係貴少少但絕對值得一試!

而其他食物亦陸陸續續登場, 於是師傅先試下萍姐推介嘅燒芝士年糕, 一放入口芝士味十分香, 但味道唔會過濃, 而年糕亦十分煙韌, 加上唔係太大件, 所以口感一流, 整體水準真的不錯, 萍姐果然冇介紹錯; 串燒免治雞肉棒就係封筆食家"今餐食乜好"極力推介, 呢個賣相都幾特別, 將免治雞肉放喺根棒子上燒, 再配上豉油同生雞蛋, 撈勻後即可食用, 而免治雞肉嘅味道係非常鬆香, 香嘅主因係免治雞肉裡有少少洋蔥, 所以十分搶口, 不過個汁就稍為咸少少, 如果淡味番d相信會更加正, 呢個串燒免治雞肉棒亦係必食推介!

燒鯖魚亦係一道令師傅驚喜嘅菜式, 鯖魚燒得香肉身鬆, 入口亦冇咩骨, 加上一d都唔腥, 就連一向對燒魚冇咩興趣嘅師傅亦食到停唔到口, 而萍姐當然係相當滿意, 所以燒鯖魚亦係必食推介; 食到咁上下都覺得唔係好夠, 於是再加燒雞皮, 燒雞中冀(萍姐要求加單), 燒茄子同咖哩湯烏冬! 食到萍姐要加單嘅燒雞中冀, 師傅覺得一般, 燒雞中冀算得上皮香肉腍唔油, 但唔算突出!

燒牛舌就燒得爽口, 而且唔韌, 幾好味; 燒雞軟骨就普通, 不咩特別; 燒雞皮就燒得十分香脆, 而入口唔油膩, 能做到脆而不油真係唔錯, 不過呢d咁唔健康嘅食物, 師傅還是少吃為妙; 至於燒茄子亦十分腍身, 唔會勁硬, 收貨; 最後係咖哩湯烏冬, 咖哩湯烏冬亦係封筆食家"今餐食乜好"大力推介, 咖哩湯底係非常香濃, 味道微辣, 但幾惹味, 而烏冬本身煮得煙韌爽口, 口感同質感真的一絕, 封筆食家"今餐食乜好"果然冇介紹錯!

總括黎講食物質素甚佳, 服務態度友善, 地方唔算特別大, 不過就坐得幾舒服, 價錢都算貴, 咁樣食法埋單六百幾, 即每人三百幾, 但師傅都覺得幾抵食! 封筆食家"今餐食乜好"果然好介紹, 能夠同時間食到師傅同萍姐耳仔郁, 一d都唔少野! 值得一讚係食飽後侍應亦唔會催促客人埋單, 仲可以慢慢坐吹吹水, 絕對係食野同傾計嘅好地方! 呢間食店嘅笑臉當然要比, 而且好肯定仲會有下次!

最後師傅亦要在此再次多謝萍姐, 師傅期待下次與萍姐再聚時係唔需要等三百五十天啦, 記住下次到我做東喇!

My colleagues often go to WaiWai but this was my first time. We are all Japanese and enjoy having drinks and izakaya-style food after work. My collegues also ordered sake and the selection was great. We asked the owner what he would suggest and he served us a dry junmai kinjo that was perfect with the food we ordered!
We did make a reservation and all 4 of us arrived on time. I understand their policy of asking customers to come as they reserved. This is common sense. Not only in Japan but other countries is this considered to be polite.
Anyway, I and my colleagues find this place to be one of the best Japanese Izakaya in Hong Kong and will make a reservation time we ALL CAN make. Or at least have the courtesy to call and change the time.
