I have been searching for a restaurant who makes an authentic Claypot rice. I ordered the preserved meat claypot rice and the quality of the dish is impeccable. The rice was full of flavour and here's the key... the rice crust at the bottom of the pot was super crunchy!! You can request for them to make a soup out of the remaining rice crust with preserved egg, and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend this place!

今晚約咗人食飯,但沒有約定食乜嘢或去邊度食,嚟灣仔比咗嘢人先,經過W square,睇下有咩食,見到呢間小廚,心中想應該係高檔啲的食小菜地方……上到去,原來似酒樓般,都好嘈吓,睇下餐牌有咩食,抱住試下心態便入座了……因為我倆大家都有啲嘢吾食,左揀右揀,叫咗兩款都啱大家口味的餸菜。1. 梅醬碎炸骨~味道甜甜地,有啲似梅子醬但又吾係完全似,骨排有啲腍,有啲都好難咬2. 啫啫時菜青肉~這個煲等咗半小時有多,時菜係芥蘭,本來冇問題也顯得貴格D,但菜吾夠腍,有點硬,仲有啲苦,青肉有D靭,個汁係好惹味的,用來送飯較好因為等個煲時間耐,食白飯+炸骨已飽咗大半,所以到個煲嚟時,都覺得有點漏。這裡環境格局有點似泉章居果種,但我點呢兩樣餸嘅味道一般般,沒有驚喜,與我理想中有出入,試過就算了,價錢吾算平,服務ok……

2. 啫啫時菜青肉~這個煲等咗半小時有多,時菜係芥蘭,本來冇問題也顯得貴格D,但菜吾夠腍,有點硬,仲有啲苦
,青肉有D靭,個汁係好惹味的,用來送飯較好

因為等個煲時間耐,食白飯+炸骨已飽咗大半,所以到個煲嚟時,都覺得有點漏。這裡環境格局有點似泉章居果種,但我點呢兩樣餸嘅味道一般般,沒有驚喜,與我理想中有出入,試過就算了,價錢吾算平,服務ok……

親戚推介去呢間要上樓嘅酒樓飲茶,去到大堂以為全幢都係office。 之後搭升降機上一樓,格局完全唔同,真係酒樓,仲要係好嘈好傳統果隻。 因為地方相比一般酒樓細,所以都等左一陣位,之後有位了,但都要搭枱。因為人多,d位頗逼。但好多茶客係同d伙計、老闆好熟,有傾有講,呢度自然有佢嘅吸引力。我地得三個人,所以叫左上述點心都已經飽哂。 基本上,所有點心都好ok,又夠熱。 其中,叉燒腸粉d皮好透明,好彈牙。 蝦餃又好新鮮。  食飽諗住埋單之際,伙計仲送上紅豆沙糖水比我地,呢餐真係有個完美嘅句號喇!

午市來過食午市,看見好多吸引小菜,黄鳝㷛,筍壳魚,有個蟹肉趐套餐,星期五晚再來。太陽唔食該套餐,單點,店員推介蠔㷛,美國筒蠔,雖然上桌熱辣辣,薑葱唔夠香,唔夠漲卜卜及白淨,試第一隻新鮮,跟住都係一般,太陽擔心有事,近日食蠔都肚痛,今次無事。手抓骨,熱辣香脆,帶有咖哩味,濃味,咸咸地,喜肉就verygood送啤酒一流,叫咗支藍妹。翠塘豆腐,蛋白加豆腐滑,蝦鲜味爽口,但玉蘭粒即蔬菜唔夠。主角出場是贈送甜品,腐竹薏米糖水,雖然無奶白色,無白果雞蛋,但已好滿足,又要讚送馬豆糕,我已前對此物印象麻麻,多數甜椰汁味重,今次無乜椰汁味,但都香滑,食到馬豆香味午市有紅豆沙送都唔錯。

平時很少寫食評的我,通常都是遇到比較特別才忍不住寫的。今天過灣仔接女友放工,晚飯看到這間吃小菜的便上去試試,7點半上到去裝修很新淨,但只有一半枱有坐人原來是有啟示。我倆點了豉椒炒蟶子,芋頭酥鴨,黃鱔煲仔飯。炒蟶子,如同嚼橡膠,煮老了很多芋頭酥鴨,大大舊一碟八件,上面的酥造得不錯的,但小小的、沒什麼味的一件鴨,用上超過5倍的芋頭包裹著,啖啖都只是芋頭,根本沒有鴨的味道。黃鱔煲仔飯,等了很久終於都熱騰騰的上枱,打開煲蓋看到肥厚的黃鱔,可惜碎碎的飯粒一點鱔香味都沒有,感覺就像飯有飯煮,餸有餸分開煮,最後飯煮好了才放上黃鱔就直接端出來,完全沒有煲仔飯的香氣。叫了三樣東西都令人極失望,比一般略貴的價錢,卻比一般大排檔更差的質數。即使有人請客我也不會再來,沒信心試其他菜式了。*相片就只有一張放棄食淨的合照

平時很少寫食評的我,通常都是遇到比較特別才忍不住寫的。

今天過灣仔接女友放工,晚飯看到這間吃小菜的便上去試試,7點半上到去裝修很新淨,但只有一半枱有坐人原來是有啟示。我倆點了豉椒炒蟶子,芋頭酥鴨,黃鱔煲仔飯。

炒蟶子,如同嚼橡膠,煮老了很多

芋頭酥鴨,大大舊一碟八件,上面的酥造得不錯的,但小小的、沒什麼味的一件鴨,用上超過5倍的芋頭包裹著,啖啖都只是芋頭,根本沒有鴨的味道。

黃鱔煲仔飯,等了很久終於都熱騰騰的上枱,打開煲蓋看到肥厚的黃鱔,可惜碎碎的飯粒一點鱔香味都沒有,感覺就像飯有飯煮,餸有餸分開煮,最後飯煮好了才放上黃鱔就直接端出來,完全沒有煲仔飯的香氣。

叫了三樣東西都令人極失望,比一般略貴的價錢,卻比一般大排檔更差的質數。即使有人請客我也不會再來,沒信心試其他菜式了。

榮興搬上樓之後冇以前咁旺場, 連續幾次黎都唔洗等位, 雖然比以前貴左, 不過食品水準不變, 又有卡位坐得舒服d而且侍應們既服務都依舊殷勤 呢度好多菜式選擇, 不過兩個人真係嗌唔到好多野, 如果約大班人食飯會推介黎呢度, 順便試多幾款小菜~

有次同同事第一次去呢間餐廳食Lunch,我地一去到就要等位,都等咗一段時間,因為都幾多人,
環境方面,似室內大排檔,好彩有冷氣,不過好嘈,因為人多,所以同同事傾計時要提高聲量...
至於食物方面,都OK既,唔難食,但唔會太突出...

但我萬萬估唔到,我食完後幾個鐘頭,我的肚子開始"咕咕"作響,而且感到很「舒服」,
然後我就去咗幾次洗手間,每次去都像「仙女散花」一樣,聲音是"pi li pu lu",
一會兒像喇叭聲,一會兒像龍捲風聲,一會兒又像放爆竹,有點像交響樂團呢~

於是我成個人覺得有種「一個星期沒有吃東西」的感覺,感覺很輕盈,
而且我又像蠶寶寶一樣吐了一堆「蠶絲」


於是我拿拿臨搭的士去睇「再世華佗」,我把我的情況告訴華佗,
華佗話我腸胃裡有特別的微生物,所以才導致我的身體發出像交響樂團的聲音,
而且我額頭的溫度上升,因為有過濾性xx,
華佗還提醒我之後幾天要吃得清淡D,例如吃白粥、葡萄適等等,我雖然萬分不願意,
但為了我的健康著想,而且我想保持身材苗條(這是減肥的好時機
),咁就唯有照做啦!
幾日後,我發覺我的身材的確比之前更苗條! 

後來我問返同我一齊去食LUNCH的同事,其中一個同事都話我聽佢食完呢間餐廳後,
個肚既反應都同我有少少相似,雖則冇我咁嚴重......

我覺得這間餐廳不適合我,如果想食點心的話,港島區有很多其他更好的餐廳...
但我相信人人唔同,如果有讀者想減肥+想聽自己身體發出的美妙音樂的話,這間餐廳的確是非常不錯的選擇

一行6人晚餐,招牌葱油雞皮脆肉嫩,如果蔥油味道香濃一㸃,會較好. 例湯叫左節瓜豬肉雞腳煲,料足,火候夠,很不錯. 豬什支竹煲夠入味. 但煎墨魚餅,沒有墨魚味,不知用了什麼粉去煎,皮鞁, 咬不開,糖醋骨用了五花腩,可能是五花腩一早著好,後期加上糖醋加熱,但由於瘦肉硬到像柴頭,相信廚房不敢兜太耐以免更硬,結果外暖內凍,我們只可食到糖醋肥肉😁瑶柱琵琶豆腐太鹽了,大家都不太願意吃. 整體食物質素較數年前真的下降了很多,失望,應該不會再試第三次.

一行6人晚餐,招牌葱油雞皮脆肉嫩,如果蔥油味道香濃一㸃,會較好. 例湯叫左節瓜豬肉雞腳煲,料足,火候夠,很不錯. 豬什支竹煲夠入味. 但煎墨魚餅,沒有墨魚味,不知用了什麼粉去煎,皮鞁, 咬不開,糖醋骨用了五花腩,可能是五花腩一早著好,後期加上糖醋加熱,但由於瘦肉硬到像柴頭,相信廚房不敢兜太耐以免更硬,結果外暖內凍,我們只可食到糖醋肥肉😁瑶柱琵琶豆腐太鹽了,大家都不太願意吃. 整體食物質素較數年前真的下降了很多,失望,應該不會再試第三次.

Came here for dinner with boyfriend as we were wondering what to eat on a Sunday night. We came across this place and weren't really sure what it was. The place was packed with larger groups of people but we could still get a table rather quickly even though there was only two of us.

Sitting down, we realized this place served very basic Cantonese dishes that are more popularly found in dai pai dongs. Menu is in English and Chinese however they have set options for two, four or eight people along with promotional items that are only in Chinese. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Service was your typical dai pai dong style. Rushed and to the point.

We weren't sure what to order so we chose a two people set that included the daily soup, half of their signature roast chicken, a choice of main under $88 (anything more you just add the diffference), fried rice and dessert for $308.

Daily Soup. When the soup came, it was huge. And I mean HUGE. I think boyfriend and I drank at least 3 bowls of this and there was still more soup! For a two people set, I didn't expect it to be that big! The soup was pretty sweet as Chinese soups are. I think it was a pork, dried bok choy and carrot soup. A very typical Chinese soup.

Honey Coated Pork Belly. This was over $88 and was actually $98 so we added an extra $10. The pork belly was lightly coated with stringy honey sauce but boyfriend said he's had it elsewhere and said the sauce wasn't coated on enough. I thought it was ok because if too much coating, it would be one glumpy goo. The pork belly was dry despite the amount of fat on it. Strange.

Signature Roast Chicken with Olives. The chiciken was very moist. However, unless you eat the skin, the meat had no actual flavor. All the flavor was in the skin and the oil that was laid out on the plate. As I really didn't eat the skin nor dragged my chicken in the oil, it was just regular chicken meat to me.

Fried Rice. The fried rice was pretty good. It wasn't oily. It wasn't overly salty and had the right amount of seasoning. There were some cucumber slices to give it a bit of freshness and crunch.

Daily Dessert. The daily dessert was red bean and black glutinous rice dessert soup. It was alright and not too sweet. Nothing really spectacular about it but it was the dessert of the day.

A fairly clean place to eat with large portions. This two people set was enough for at least another person. We couldn't finish it at all and took the leftovers home. A good place to eat with a large group as it really is value for money. Food was ok but not great, but price made up for it.

榮興小廚搬遷後第一次來, 地方大了光猛了, 新設卡位, 不過嘈音依舊。不明白榮興在openrice中的笑臉為什麼不可以繼續保留, 畢竟是一間有歷史的餐廳嘛, 笑臉沒有了有點可惜。我曾電郵到openrice詢問是否可保留它以前的笑臉, 不過未獲回應。來到榮興當然不可錯過我們懷念的招牌雞, 皮香脆, 肉嫩滑, 二人share半隻, 剛剛好。咸蛋肉餅是我喜歡的, 上面有香香的蔥, 沒有太多肥肉, 很棒。炒白菜就合符水準。最後附送的紅豆沙, 滋潤暖暖的感覺。

豉椒炒蜆,是很傳統的香港式小炒,豉味濃郁,香口,帶丁點辣,就是傳統豉椒炒食品的香口味道。蜆肉厚,鮮美無沙,幸好我們買到啤酒,有酒相伴炒蜆,是可以用一個爽字來形容。

紅燒鱔煲,很熱,味道很濃,無論是中式或是日式,鱔、鰻魚,都是味道越濃越美味惹味,而且煲的熱力,令汁不繼的冒泡冒煙,更加把汁鎖死上魚肉同菜的面頭上,我可以說,這一個煲,極惹味香口。

味道很好,但二人吃了400多元,其實落單時已經知道,《榮興小廚》已經成為了一間靚正的食肆,平這一個字沒有了.......也許真的是 W Square 的關係,我們要幫忙付舖租。

價錢不依舊,但美味同人情依舊,W Square 的《榮興小廚》新店,也是值得一來的。
