事緣之前在點心專門店吃了不好食的點心,對於美味點心的渴求即時大漲,決定再到益新飲茶。熱辣辣的蝦餃和燒賣非常滋味,無需巧立名目,傳統正宗的就是最好!鳳爪沒有雪味,十分軟嫩。春風得意腸的腸粉滑溜極致,蝦春卷還食到顆顆蝦肉!煎釀尖椒的魚肉豐腴,可惜尖椒稍微煎得未夠透,略為失準。椒鹽廣島蠔就出色得多,隻隻肥大飽滿,蠔味甚為突出,蘸少許椒鹽或豉油,一級棒!肉絲炒麵份量超足,脆麵底恰到好處,不會炸過了頭。肉絲和韮王是海量的,肉多過麵,要找麵吃!和著的汁是麵和肉的橋樑,濃杰適中,完全無得輸!不能不提的是店員的服務又快又好,值得一讚!

每次去益新, 主角也是琵琶鴨, 當琵琶鴨售罄之後, 反而能夠感受到其他撚手小菜的水準, 這裏的西檸雞, 應該是水準最高的其中一家. 炸脆了的雞件很有肉汁, 沒有油膉味, 靈魂的西檸醬汁, 有自然的果酸味, 然後帶有點甘味, 再來就是蜜糖的甜, 三種味道互相配合, 除了中和本身炸雞的油膩, 也能帶出其肉香, 相當有水準, 也是之前常常被遺忘的.蝦多士依然是如此公整的做法, 叉燒有燶邊, 有焦香, 半肥瘦的肉質也令其口感均勻. 當然芝麻卷和焗西米布甸也是越來越少地方吃得到, 珍惜這些傳統香港的菜式和食肆, 這比較什麼活動說好香港故事, 更能改善飲食業的生意.

適逢假日,前赴買玩前先到益新食晏填肚是也。已經很久未有到益新飲茶,未知水準是否如前。剔點心紙時方發現可以逐件點,確實為想食得多選擇的食客帶來了方便。點心皆維持水準,不論是蝦餃、春卷、灌湯餃、虎皮釀尖椒或叉燒腸都十分好食;而當中最佳的要數灌湯餃以及叉燒腸,前者餃皮夠薄夠滑,餡料豐富,湯汁和得剛剛好,後者是因為叉燒非常可口,甜度恰好,透出豬肉的肉味。惟蒜蓉蒸魷魚就稍有不及,魷魚是軟的,無奈蒜蓉不夠香。小菜蝦籽柚皮炆扣得相當入味,芡汁烯杰度適宜。至於星洲炒米向為小人所愛,今次亦沒有例外,米粉炒得條條分明,毫不油膩。大大隻的蝦仁又爽又有份量,極之和味!一如既往的美味!
