To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

I recently visited a Japanese restaurant in Festival Walk with my wife during lunch time and had the daily special seafood sashimi set, which was absolutely fantastic! 我時常說,不論任何菜色好已贏在起跑線,尤其吃日本料理就是吃食材,食材新鮮程度决定生死。隨而來之就是厨師们手藝,店內衛生程度,前線人員服務態度,環境装修等。晚餐時段入內,全場近百個位只得三位前堂員工做落單,執位上菜做水吧結賬,還能笑面迎人我巳覺得很好,自問若是我肯定爆粗。可惜這的是食材可說是強差人意,厨師手藝只可說末入流,尤其處理刺身這些海鮮食物,刀法末夠班反會破壞食材味道,這裡的刺身返刀甚多導致魚身呈碎片感。食材只是有其形冇其實,厨師手藝末夠成熟。這店能在此多年也不倒,不是比其它食店優勝,只是沒有選擇。 continue reading
