I was really happy to learn about this new restaurant in Hong Kong but so disappointed to find it to be a total rip-off. They charge you by the weight of the sticks which are thicker than the average sticks you’ll find in mainland China but there is only one tiny piece of meat or vegetable on it. A plate of 4 pieces of tofu costs 38 HKD. 串串香 is a type of street food in China and the experience here totally ruined it. Why wouldI pay 500 hkd to half feed myself with Chinese street food? I pay 500 hkd to half feed myself with Chinese street food? Almost all type of Chinese street food gets twice or triple the price in Hong Kong. Yes you blame the rent and labour cost and everything. I have my go-to hotpot or Sichuan or Hunan places in the city But this one the gap between price and the dining experience is just too much. I’d rather go to Shenzhen next time.
