成都口水雞,一直喜歡吃"口水"系列,因為是屬於涼快的辣,雞皮下沒有多餘的脂肪,最喜歡這樣滑溜,雞肉又是如此的幼嫩,這個辣度是有層次的,好美味﹗

以醬油飯配著名菜式,比起白飯來得更美味﹗我自己最喜歡麻婆豆腐,是真的有少許麻的味道,而非單一的辣;吃不到辣的,海鮮羮飯及宮保雞丁都是非常惹味的啊﹗

最後了,是爽脆的鮮薑汁萵筍,軟硬適中,薑汁並不薑辣,只是讓原本清甜的萵筍,添上味道,看似簡單,卻讓人吃到停不到口。

那便先由淡至濃吃上去吧!海鮮炒飯充滿粒粒海鮮,嫩滑的獻汁下包裹着簡單的豉油炒飯,出來的效果正正簡單就是美清純味道令我分滿意。

接下來這一個是麻婆豆腐炒飯一放入口那份麻香即刺激大腦,麻而不辣的味道正宗不過,而且醬汁不會過多令飯粒過淋,吃得到真是一位好有經驗的廚師出品!

最後便是最濃味的宮保雞丁炒飯,酸酸辣辣的味道叫人份外開胃,這個餐單看似簡單但每一道菜都各自有精彩的香、麻、辣味道,不會吃完一餐只嚐辣味層次感十分豐富,而且係非常飽肚的大食如我都捧着肚子回家呢!

不過咪以為呢個餐就完啊!因為仲有甜品芒果椰子奶凍估唔到四川菜餐廳做甜品都好出色喎!椰子奶凍香滑可口配合下方的芒果奶凍異常合拍,而且質感軟滑可口質素不俗啊!

見到這個那麼出色的奶凍有點意猶未盡,大家更一致贊成多點一客香蕉拔絲$88來開心一下,一上檯那賣相美不勝收,糖絲吃下沒有半點黏牙的感覺,香蕉咬下去生熟度剛好,成件事都美妙非常,再加上一球香滑的果仁雪糕作陪襯成件事咪就變成圓滿無瑕囉!而席間更有幸跟餐廳大廚王太傾談了一會,真心欣賞一位退休的靚太對烹飪充滿熱誠而且鬼主意多多,她更透露曾經煮過十八羅漢的涼菜,搞到我心猿意馬相信我很快便會吹雞辣局成員一同再來重溫一番呢!

The food here however remains one of the more impressive Sichuanese in town, along with Deng G. in Wanchai which cooks up the banquet elegant style in contrast.

A homely Sichuan dish that tastes more like a sugary Beef Katsu with Ginger sauce, an addictive dish that is authentic but nowadays hardly found in Sichuan restaurants that only sell us the best selling Chili dishes. This is based on the Head Chef's Mom's recipe from home in Sichuan, who also happens to be the Consultant for the restaurant. Addictively despite being sweetish, a must order ~ 9/10

Mapo Tofu 麻婆豆腐 (全名: 阿婆麻辣豆腐) HKD $108 -
'Po' means Grandmother in Chinese, so this is considered a passed down recipe. The silken tofu are made locally but using a Japanese recipe, meaning they are thickly cubed, didn't fall apart yet remained supple soft. The meat sauce was not overly fermented beans salty, with a good amount of toasty Sichuan Peppercorn numbness and it's quite hot by default. Best Mapo Tofu I have tried in town so far... ~ 9.5/10

A dish worthy of coming to this Michelin Grade Restaurant alone, that showcases a mixture of Traditional and Modern Sichuanese dishes - and this fish recipe stands out from the more typical Chili Poached Fish which is also served here. The tea aroma is encapsulating.. ~ 8.5/10

Toffee Banana with Pulled Sugar -
This is probably more synonymous with Beijing Cuisine but was a sweet crunchy ending to the numbing and spicy meal, which is not typical of the toned down Sichuan restaurants in Hong Kong. A job well done from that aspect.. (Except for Deng G, which sells milder Sichuan food)

Dark Chocolate Ice Cream with Chili -
Just a reminder of the fiery food here, even the sweet ice cream ends on a spicy but rich chocolate note. A concept which is popular nowadays in both Mexican and Sichuan restaurants - which remembering Chili Pepper were introduced into China by the Columbian exchange from Mexico in the 15th Century!

A Lovely Sichuan Restaurant -
Some customers have labelled it as selling Expat's style Sichuan food, but I think it depends on what we order here. It caters to different crowds on the menu, and there are occasionally off-menu items which are more labour intensive and needs reservation. Think it is time for us to organize another Group Dinner here soon..

Today I went for a lunch with a friend to Chilli Fagara. This was my second time at the restaurant, and I was very satisfied with my experience both times. The staff was extremely pleasant and gave the food on time. We had a dish of Kung Pao Chicken, non spicy fried rice, and dumplings in chilli sauce, and a bowl of chocolate chilli ice cream for desert, all of which were very tasty. We had a dish of Kung Pao Chicken, non spicy fried rice, and dumplings in chilli sauce, and a bowl of chocolate chilli ice cream for desert, all of which were very tasty. My friend and I were very happy with the food, and I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for tasty chinese food in central. Overall, I am happy to say that I shall definitely come to eat at Chilli Fagara again.

I ordered a "Slices of Streaked Pork Belly" and a "Stir-fried Jade Vegetables". The pork it writes in Chinese that it is the famous Sichuan dish Sichuan twice-cooked pork. I don't understand why a restaurant serve this kind of standard food can survive in the competitive food market in central. don't go, don't order, if you have to, bear in mind it is not chinese dish at all.

Order arrived very quickly from Food Panda. Ordered ginger beef ($168), side of rice and green beans ($128). The ginger beef was outrageously small. There were probably 8 small slices of beef. For this price, I would expect at least double.I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years and have really watched the quality and service detoriorate.I wish I could put a negative for 'value for money'. I will not order or visit again!

I've been in HK for over 8 years, and Chilli Fagara used to be my wife and my favorite restaurant. The food was great, and the service was decent. For anyone who has been in Hong Kong for a while, you get so much bad service thrown at you in good restaurant, that you don't really expect much. Serve me my food, don't bother me, and I'll give you full marks for service. Expecting the waiter to recommend a dish or do any chit-chat is almost unheard of.
Anyway, the restaurant was our favorite over the years despite the fact that our dishes were thumped on our table like a slab of meat. However, in the last few years, especially since the change in location, the service has become outright rude and callous. And I loved the food so much that I came back three times in the last year, and I've left annoyed at the service each time.
Last night, I went to Chilli Fagara with my sister who had flown in from abroad and my parents and my children. My three year old boy needed to use so I took him to the little boys room. There are no locks to the main restroom, so while I was washing his hands, one of the staff pushed open the door with such force that my son, who was immediately behind it, fell down and was so shocked that he started crying. I think I heard a gruff "Sorry" muttered under his breath.
"Please be more careful", I said.
"Hey, I already said Sorry", came a gruff reply as he walked away. Well, he certainly didn't mean it, and didn't seem to care that the little boy was weeping on the floor. I guess I should assign this to one employee and not the restaurant, but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.
Our dinner reservation was from 18:15 till 20:30. At around 19:50, my wife asked the waiter for the menu because we wanted to order another dish.
"You cannot order anymore. You need to leave by 20:30" came the reply. He didn't say, "Here is the menu, but some dishes may take time and you may not have enough time to enjoy it before our next guests arrive at 20:30".
"But that's still another 40 minutes away and you haven't even asked what we wish to order" we complained.
He checked with his manager, then came back with a sulking face.
"Here's the menu, but you HAVE to leave by 20:30".
"Thanks - we are aware. And your rude reminders aren't appreciated".
He got the Chilli Prawns in 10 min, and we had left the restaurant by 20:15.
In my previous visit a few months ago, they had made a scene because one of the members of our group was pregnant and she requested them to skip the MSG.
I think there is a clear reason why this restaurant was a Michelin Star Restaurant between 2011-2013, and was later thrown off the list. It wasn't even in the recommended restaurant list for 2014 and 2015, and has now finally made the recommended list in 2016. I think I'll still end up eating the food here - but it's only going to be delivery and not dine-in going forward.
