食過一次之後,覺得好正,立刻分享給親友。專誠早成幾個月訂位,抱著期望再嚐!可惜今次卻令人極之失望!首先事前在溝通上已很混亂,我在 WhatsApp 上 confirm完 booking, 他們好像沒有和我溝通過似的又再和我老公 confirm一次!這也是少事,就當他謹慎要多次確認!但之後他們對開酒的安排更是不能接受!上次去過 Batard,知道這裡原本是一間專業酒吧,所賣的酒也非常講究的,所以今次去就預先選定了,我老公選了一支 Magnum size的05年 Pomerol, Robert Parker's 評分是 100分的, 亦表明我們幾点到,要求他們能預早開定 decant, 另外亦選了一支白酒,說我們會飲大約2~4支,要求他們預早雪定,点知他們一樣都冇做,紅酒沒有預早 decant, 白酒也是我哋去到先逐支雪!白白浪費了幾支酒!真的很失望!果道嘅食物味道是很好的,但對上菜的服務同樣地不及格!人客吃完濃味的 Blue Cheese, 之後上 另一道菜又怎能不替客人更換餐具! 莫說是高級餐廳,一間普通的平民餐廳也應該懂此等服務!差勁!

This lovely restaurant located in Sai Wan (Sai Ying Pun). One of the hardest place to book in HK. Roasted local chicken with pilaf rice ($800): Yummiest chicken rice or even one of the best dish I’ve ever had in my life 😂😂 Chicken was perfectly roasted with crispy skin and juicy & tender inside. Rice was similar as hainanese chicken rice- very flavourful. Lucky that we requested extra rice 🤣

Apart from the amazing food, another highlight in here is that the wine is offered at RETAIL PRICE‼️ This would definitely be my reason to revisit for countless times.

Roasted Quail ($480)- perfectly cooked, the meat was so tender, the chef presented this dish in two layers with toppings, mixture of different textures👍

We got two of these burrata tarts($280) to share and honestly i could have devoured both on my own. It was sooo flaky and had just the right amount of toppings to show off the pastry.We also had the trout roe tartlets ($180) slow poached foie gras wrapped with black truffle ($580) which was so smooth and creamy, heard that there were bigger portions before though hahahahha oh and complimemtary beef tartare cannelloni to start off our meal.You got to love this pastry layer of the monkfish en crou

You got to love this pastry layer of the monkfish en croute ($500)

Cut it in half and you will see the glossy surface of the mobkfish wrapped in soinach, surrounded by a layer of langoustine and black mushroom before it's encased in a pastry shell. The monkfish was so juicy, and had just the right amount of bite required, not ftough and not toooooo soft. Also appreciate that ocrner of patry of the isde with truffle, so that you can thoroughly enjoy the pastry and jot owrry abt it getting soggy from the sauce. This dish basically worked wonders.

We also had the chicken rice, but next time I would definately want to try for the quail!

Like this lemon tart ($135) , it ain't no biscuit tart but more like a flaky pastry shell, making the crust extra thick and fluffed out. Meringue was super light and had just the right amount of sweet, combined with the citrusy lemon curd and the thin chocolate layer lining the bottom of the tart.

The apple tart ($150) is again a super flaky and light pastry, with wiffs of sweet apple aroma snealing up ok us even before it lands on our table. Bonus points for the pretty rose like pattern too! Madeleines ($120)are a must and I'm so happy they didn't run out before we got to dessert.

I've finally got through their ONLY reservation line 23181802, only four hours since they started taking July reservation.They claimed the whole month is committed already. All slots, every single day Mondays to Sundays. A single phone line, 4 hours of calls each taking 3 - 5 minutes?That is a statistical miracle - if not a gross gimmick of playing "hard-to-get". Even more incredible, has it really happened for months on end?No wonder I had been pre-warned by my foodie friends not to bother ea

Had to book months in advance. Honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been so far since coming back! Every course was so fulfilling, flavorful, and perfectly sized!We started off with the cold angel hair and caviar. The caviar added the perfect amount of flavor to the pasta and it really opened up my appetite for the next dish! A hidden French restaurant located inside 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 (a gorgeous wine cellar🍷). 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗱 was smaller than I thought but with attentive service!

- This was the one looks like a “𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙘𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙚 🥬” in the photo! Once I sliced into half, the scallop was right there! So creative but not really delicious compare to other dishes😛

- Cooked perfectly with no doubt 💯🤩 The wagyu 🥩 flavour was not really strong. Not surprising but still doing great!

- This was more satisfying compare to the Wagyu🤫🤩 Love this pasta so much with heavy flavour of lobster🦞 and the pasta 🍝 was so chewy!!

- This 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 were 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙤 𝙨𝙤 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿!!!! Super fluffy and with strong flavour of egg 🥚😍 I could have 2 more although was really full😝!

We ordered 2 glasses of wine 🍷 as well. Um... the wine was really really pricy🤑💸 with normal standard, not recommended🤫


Overall, this lunch was quite satisfying 🥰 They only serve lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Set an alarm⏰ to book it if you wish to try! Don’t miss out!

I am totally confused about this place. 1) Atmosphere: Bistro setup but some comments referred as fine dining2) price: fine dining price but bistro food quality3) Food: no surprise, my gf don't eat beef and Monkfish sold out; so she had to order a second entrée. The remaining option was quail which don't sound appetising.We had oysters and Foie gras as entrée- again no surprise but below expectation. I had the beef - Bavette (nice charred crust)Dessert: Madeleines (nice and warm) and Paris Bre

4) wine menu: excellent
5) service: well greeting from front door friendly staff (however we were waiting for our main dish and the waiter asked for a last order for dessert at 8:30pm)

For me fine dining benchmark, if Tosca is 9/10, Batard is 2/10.
Would I go back.....No!
Overall, it's a place to enjoy wine more than a dining experience.

Covid: no mask cover offered; no placemats for utensils; no serviette instead wrinkle napkins.

訂咗幾個月,今日終於有機會親身去試吓Bâtard! Bâtard 外面係「The Fine Wine Experience 」一間酒鋪,入面就係餐廳,所以喺酒鋪揀啱任何酒都可以即刻喺餐廳飲!(餐廳只會收取額外10%服務費)酒鋪存酒量豐富,選擇非常之多,排列整齊,而且空間寬敞,室內設計型格時尚,樓底又高。我同老公行吓睇吓D酒,傾傾講講都覺得好舒服,好relax。其實我哋兩個對酒類認識都唔係好深,最後都係交俾專家幫我哋介紹。我哋試咗兩杯唔同嘅紅酒。我鍾意fruity;老公鍾意dry,紅酒師都可以替我地挑選到各自嘅喜好。“Comfort food elevated to pair with the world’s finest wines.” 係Bâtard 嘅宗旨。有好嘅酒,當然要配合埋好嘅食材。我哋叫咗兩個Set Lunch。($498/Set) Appetizer 可以選擇加入Kristal Caviar(+$280);而Main course 可以揀Grilled Wagyu Bavette 或Lobster Pasta。➡️ House-made Duck Rillette on

我覺得鴨肉醬稍為鹹咗少少,塊墊底嘅多士易好硬,唔係我喜歡嘅口味。反而伊比利亞火腿甘醇柔軟,令人齒頰留香。


➡️ Cold Angel Hair, Grilled Obsiblue Prawn, Kombu
來自法國嘅淺藍色蝦係刺身級。廚師輕輕煎香之後,蝦身依然鮮嫩,蝦頭入面嘅膏係精華所在。我老公將整個蝦頭食晒。天使麵煮得Al Dente,連埋黑松露同昆布汁一齊食,味道清新又獨特。


➡️ Scallop Rouelle, Maine Lobster, Crustacean Sauce
帶子同龍蝦做成鬆軟嘅魚蛋形狀,再用娃娃菜包住,配上海鮮熬製嘅濃湯醬汁,食一啖就品嘗到十足嘅海鮮甜味。


➡️ Grilled Wagyu Bavette M9+ from Mayura Station, Fries, Bearnaise
Bavette 原來係Flank Steak 嘅意思。Flank Steak 通常係切片,但係而家係整件上,廚師嘅火候一定要掌握得好好。我叫咗Medium rare, 肉味濃郁,肉質軟腍又juicy,令我一試難忘。


➡️ Grilled Maine Lobster, Pasta
龍蝦肉兩大塊,鮮甜彈牙。意粉同樣煮得剛剛好,有嚼勁,加上幼滑嘅龍蝦汁同大量新鮮沙律菜,令口感豐富之餘亦清新可口。


餐廳送上甜品前,會先送上一杯薄荷花茶,替客人解一解膩。呷一口花茶,舒服得很。


➡️ Fresh Baked Madeleines
新鮮出爐嘅馬德蓮貝殼檸檬蛋糕仔,好有家嘅感覺,唔會太甜,檸檬味易突出。

Book咗幾次先book到 朋友食過都話好食 所以帶住expectation去餐廳餐廳整體環境舒服 食物味道質素同價錢成正比 但成個dinning experience就比一個男waiter ruin咗可能隔離枱係return guest 叫啲酒貴啲 所以服務態度就明顯唔同,嘢又講多啲 笑容又比多啲,態度殷勤相比之下 我地啲食物丟低講菜名就走 介紹都無 其實菜名menu都有 我都識睇嘅 customer service 好與壞 真係好影響成餐飯嘅感覺 希望餐廳唔會得返個幾檯return 貴客啦
