I have been to this restaurant quite a few times since the soft opening. I have since then recommended it to my friends.
I like the beef pho a lot. It is not too salty but the beef soup is very tasty. Not the MSG type of tastiness but the kind of tastiness that you get by boiling the soup for many hours. The beef is tender and of good quality. Springs rolls are good too and by far much better than those I tried at other Vietnamese restaurants. The restaurant is clean and service is good. The menu is limited but I think it's good that they stick to what they are good at. "Viet" is opening soon on Wing Fung but I think it won't be a competitor since the market should be different.
When I was lunching there last week, I overheard another customer saying that he prefers BEP because the soup is tastier. Well, I think that for people who have tried authentic pho, they would know that the difference between BEP and Brass Spoon. The food from the latter is a lot more 'refined' in many ways.
The restaurant is opened from 12-7pm, Monday to Saturday (closed on Sunday). This technically means that customers can only go on Saturday if they don't work around the neighbourhood or have inflexible lunch hour. There is always a small queue after 12:30pm even on Saturdays.
My suggestion is to keep things the way they are in order to sustain the food quality - but the shop can consider closing at 8pm instead of 7pm.
