又來這家餐廳吃我非常喜歡的沙律又點了我非常喜歡的Latte 迷上了~~~~上次下了一包白沙糖在Latte覺得太甜這次換成黃糖 一包下去還是甜看來下次黃糖也得減半 搞不好根本不放都沒問題為什麼我就是心急 不先嚐一口原味可是美食當前 臣妾做不到啊!!那些未經烹煮的芝士再高級我也是無福消受........還是這種烤焗過才討我歡心看着口水已經自動上傳 那幾片多士也是極好芝麻黏在麵包邊緣 麵包口感酥脆還帶着鮮明的芝麻香~~~雖然Camembert Cheese的苦臭應該才離開入門級不遠但已經很接近我的臨界點 就是再多一點點苦臭就不能說喜歡它了雖然更苦更臭仍能下嚥 但是過了臨界點能夠吃不代表喜歡吃所以吃Camembert Cheese味覺會得到刺激的愉悅吃着的時候一邊覺得快要很苦很臭了 再多一點點就要丟碗筷了!另一邊又覺得濃郁得讓人欲罷不能 好想再來一口啊~~~~叉子弄破表皮 內裡是化如蜜糖的芝士口感綿滑 那種還不到難受的苦臭把香濃推到最高點網上很多介紹說Camembert Cheese奶香味十足一直覺得芝士雖然是奶製品 但它的氣味與味道跟奶還是相差很遠那是自成一格的美味 無從比喻五片多士其實不夠

還是這種烤焗過才討我歡心
看着口水已經自動上傳 那幾片多士也是極好

雖然Camembert Cheese的苦臭應該才離開入門級不遠
但已經很接近我的臨界點 就是再多一點點苦臭就不能說喜歡它了
雖然更苦更臭仍能下嚥 但是過了臨界點能夠吃不代表喜歡吃
所以吃Camembert Cheese味覺會得到刺激的愉悅
吃着的時候一邊覺得快要很苦很臭了 再多一點點就要丟碗筷了!
另一邊又覺得濃郁得讓人欲罷不能 好想再來一口啊~~~~
叉子弄破表皮 內裡是化如蜜糖的芝士
口感綿滑 那種還不到難受的苦臭把香濃推到最高點
網上很多介紹說Camembert Cheese奶香味十足
一直覺得芝士雖然是奶製品 但它的氣味與味道跟奶還是相差很遠
那是自成一格的美味 無從比喻
五片多士其實不夠吃 後面兩片刻意厚塗
芝士還是剩下三分一 沒有多士只好直接吃了
可是最後還是吃剩 尤其外皮沒怎麼吃到很可惜


此外還點了Home-made lemonade
很清新 酸度屬強 看來是重料製着
現在一邊寫一邊回想 口水都上來了
要求侍應再加水進去 還是過酸
剛好自己有帶水 直接自己動手了
但這種酸是好喝 只是太強喝着不舒服
有機會也願意再點 不過一定會自己加水調整

雖然這裡食物款式不多
但吃過的很多都想一吃再吃
應該不用很久又會再來

想不到上來是這麼一大盤
其中一款火腿片膻氣很重 我是吃不下了
其他都不錯 咸香味足又不會過咸
單吃着也不會太膩 但當然還是伴麵包吃比較合適
美中不足是火腿片乾了些 要是濕潤度高一點點就更好了

胡亂點來的三款芝士
偏白那個是羊芝士 試吃時候覺得還可以
可是到正品上來卻覺得膻到苦.........
實在吃不下
淡黃黑皮那款膻氣也是重 質地屬軟
單吃我是不行 但伴着麵包吃可以接受
不過說不上喜歡
黄色那個是最容易接受 單吃完全沒問題
可是味淡 不夠香
芝士中間紅色一片像年糕的東西
吃起來似是凝固了的草莓醬 甜度不低
我覺得普普通通 朋友卻愛死它了
小黃瓜是爽脆偏乾的那一種 不過不失

晚上不想喝太濃的咖啡
最後要了一杯Latte 清一清口中的濃味
Latte很好 正好做到不太濃又不失咖啡的甘香
糖下一點點已經足夠
自己覺得好的咖啡就該這樣
不用多放糖就能平衡咖啡的酸苦
很久沒喝到一杯稱心的咖啡了

要綜合評價這一頓飯是一件矛盾的事
價錢來說不便宜 說到底就點了兩個菜
而且還稱不上是主食
可是面對一大盤cold cut配着有點特色的芝士
又會覺得物有所值
但是要說這盤東西很好吃又不至於
畢竟芝士不太合自己口味
然而覺得這頓飯是美好的
比起口腹享受 更像是一次Journey
走過又長又斜的街道尋找這裡
侍應交流 毫無頭緒地挑選芝士 新奇有趣
吃到新鮮美味的沙律
卻又被自己挑選的芝士雷到
坐在街邊 喝着咖啡跟朋友聊天
看看路人帶着愛犬從身邊慢步而過
這些好與不好湊成一個完整舒心的組合

進入這間Classified 的原因是剛跟難搞客人開完會, 有點想找一個地方, 可以回一下氣.本想只叫一杯似樣的咖啡, 但看到其他客人的食品, 吹來陣陣香味, 好像又有點想吃一點東西了.叫了一杯 Cappuccino, 一份Classified Burger....等待時, 看一下街景, 路人, 靚車, 剎是Relax.Classified Burger & Cappuccino來了, 看到Burger 外觀, 是有一點點期望, 因有我很欣賞的Chips, 也在下單時, 說明了要Medium raw, 吃了一口, 是大家了解不同嗎? 太實, 太硬了, 我要 Juicy 呀! (令我想起在MORTON, Steakhouse 吃的那件牛扒, 下次再說).......好! 談他的味道, 是有外國Burger味道 , 當年在外, 或工幹時也嘗不少歐美 Burgers, 這2片包及 Pickles 是可以的, 可能下次要叫3成熟, $99一個包, 總可以有點改善.但我的 Cappuccino, 請看圖, 我沒有在Classified 這樣不是來喝真正咖啡的地方,去找他的問題, 但我只希望 $3

但我的 Cappuccino, 請看圖, 我沒有在Classified 這樣不是來喝真正咖啡的地方,去找他的問題, 但我只希望 $34蚊, 要有一點似樣的東西, 從來不太介意拉花, 但看到這杯散在咖啡上的一pad泡奶......我相信他們的Barista在放假吧, 請了老闆的菲姐姐在店內幫手, 他們招呼不差, 不要想多了.

再談那杯Cappuccino, 味道很商業化, 比一些CAFE平了$2 到$4 左右, 所以不要想什麼果香, body....奶泡什麼, 什麼.....自己也想笑了.

可以再來HEA.....

首四款都是以牛奶製成,入口較易,發酵期為4個星期至2年,各有不同的特質。Camembert、Saint Nectaire及Morbier fermier屬軟芝士,當中Camembert 奶味濃厚,餘韻帶點澀,Saint Nectaire屬washed rind,質感柔順軟滑。Morbier fermier是最有趣的,中間會有一層灰,原來製造過程中分兩次製造,先注入早上的牛奶來定型,之後再將下午的牛奶注入,所以可以從芝士中看到,而且那層灰卻是沒有味道的。Comte Reservation是我最喜歡的一款,質感較硬,而且有結晶體在內,吃時有沙沙的感覺,味帶點咸,但卻富果仁味,聽說這種芝士越是陳年,便是越為昂貴的。

第五款Ossau是以綿羊奶製成,顏色也較白,同樣也是半硬芝士,果仁香豐富,原來綿羊奶做出來的芝士亦不會太羶,與牛奶做的芝士味道相若。之後三款都是以山羊奶製成,Chabichou及Valencay味道真的很濃烈,前者更是濃於後者,的確有點吃不慣,但嚐過拌以果醬,感覺卻折然不同,羊羶味被辟去不少。最後那款Tome d’Aquitaine是這間芝士製造商的獨特口味,是以消毒過的山羊奶來做,帶點甜美的果仁味,餘韻悠長。

當嚐過各式各樣的芝士後,發現原來山羊奶芝士亦有不羶的口味,而且配以果醬同吃,我亦是未曾想過,最多也只是知道乾果是其中一種配搭,今次真的令的獲益良多呢!

Comté Réservation是一種硬芝士,基本上是幾星期便到熟成期的,但今天的是熟成期達二年的Comté,專家解釋因為長熟成期令更多蛋白質轉化成晶粒,所以它的晶粒口感更明顯。

往後介紹的是綿羊及山羊芝士。店方明白大家一時間未必態接受綿羊及山羊芝士的口味,所以也預備了果醬用以跟芝士同吃,令它們變得容易一點接受。

白色的Ossau出自法國的西南部,熟成期大約維持在四至六個月的時間,帶有一點苦澀和鹹味,因為在熟成期中會加入鹽巴去處理,但卻不算太鹹。

Chabichou入口質感creamy,但味道之濃烈卻不是開玩笑的,吃慣超市芝士的朋友,吃第一口就可能以為它真的壞掉。本人喜歡重口味,芝士也喜歡triple brie之類的,但感到要接受也要點時間。

吃過Chabichou芝士,如果沒有喝點水或紅酒,接下來的Valency就變得易入口。同樣是軟身的羊奶芝士,但比起Chabichou就十分易接受,有點鹹香而口味不濃烈。

最後的是Tome d'Aquitaine。質地較硬身,比牛奶芝士白一點,是產於法國西部的羊奶芝士。雖說硬身但咬下來有點脆口的感覺,而且味道也比較接近牛奶芝士。

餐廳給人的感覺很casual很悠閒,如可安坐於此,享受一下法國芝士和紅酒,雖不至於完全感到像身處歐洲,倒是可以想像一下這裡跟十萬八千里外的法國,有甚麼相似的感受。

Knowing that a typhoon was on its way, my sister and I had to go out since there was a chance that we'd be stuck at home for 2 days.   We got there at about 1pm and it was packed. Since it was such a hot day, I really didn't want to sit outside but the only table opened was one that was outside so it was that or leave.  Environment & Cleanliness:I didn't get to see the inside, but the open area was nice.  There weren't any crumbs or  leftover food pieces on the ground or table, and also there weren't any birds walking around so it met my cleanliness standard.

Taste & Value:
Looking at the menu on the chalkboard, I already decided what I wanted, but I decided to still look at the book of menu to see if anything else would catch my eyes. Nothing did so I stuck with my decision- The Classified Burger($99) and a  regular cafe latte ($29)
 Then, I persuaded my sister to get the salad and pasta combo ($106) because I like pasta. ahahah She also got a Homemade Lemonade ($29) because it really was so hot today. 

Maybe I'm getting more and more picky with my coffee so I didn't really like the latte I ordered. I think the milk and coffee portion was off since it tasted more like warm milk with a hint of coffee taste. 
 I had a sip of my sister's lemonade because it was cold. 
 She liked it and I did too because it wasn't overly sweet and it was so refeshing on this hot day.

Now, to the food. The salad came first and althought it wasn't mine, I tried a bit. There wasn't anythng special about it. Then, the burger came. I liked that yam fries came with it since they are hard to come across in HK. 
 The bun of the burger was a sesame bun and it was huge. The patty was a bit bland in my opinion maybe because I'm used to my mother's patties, which are loaded with different spices. After a few bites, I got a bite of something that couldn't be chewed, which was a HUGE TURNOFF for me. I hate it when that happens. I swear if it happens more often, I'm gonna become a vegetarian. 
 I honestly lost my appetite after that and started to worry about the meat in my sister's pasta. The pasta for today was Linguini Bolognese. Luckily, every bite I had was good. It was actually very delicious. The sauce was rich and thick and a bit cheesy I think? Anyways, I liked it way more than the burger.  Overall, I think the prices for most items were reasonable.

Service:
There wasn't much service since I had to go up to the counter order and pay. The only service was having the food brought to us. However, through the little contact we had, the staff seemed friendly so it was okay I guess. 

Final Verdict:
I'm not sure if I'd return because of the chunk in the burger that turned me off. Yes, maybe I'm overreacting, but if Im paying for food that price I want to be able to enjoy it. Also, the food and drinks weren't that outstanding so I don't know what I'd come back for.

I once read someone's blog post claiming that Classified had the best pasta in and about Sheung Wan, so in the back of my mind I filed it as a go-to next time I got a pasta craving. First, the spaghetti and meatballs. I like classic, and this is often what I order when I first go to a place for pasta. The spaghetti was al dente, just about perfectly cooked in my mind. The total amount of sauce was very small, far less than I'd have desired. The meatballs were OK-- I definitely prefer the ones at Linguini Fini. The worst aspect of the dish was that it wasn't hot, or even very warm. C

Macaroni and four cheeses: I'm a huge mac & cheese fan (btw, the best I've found so far in HK is at the Canny Man). This dish was actually hot. The inside was good-- not excellent but above average. They put quite a bit of cracker crumbs or something like it on top, and then cooked it in such a way that it more or less had a cracker disk on top. It was a little too crunchy, I think, for what I wanted. B-

I don't know why exactly, but I never feel entirely comfortable at Classified. I don't think I'm cool or trendy or hipster enough. Something like that. And they seem to have regulars, which always makes me feel even less legitimate.

Anyway, I'm far less likely to come back now that I've disproven (to my own satisfaction) the thesis that they've got the best pasta in town.

We stopped in here because my boyfriend loves an American style brunch at Sunday. We had a cold cut and cheese platter and a Ham & egg with Toast on that day. One thing we will suggest the shop to improve their drink’s qualities. I had a Grapefruit Juice, but just like a Starbucks’ ones, not fresh and using can juice. My boyfriend had a Latte, outlook is quite good, but it was tasteless, they should improve the coffee beans and milk’s quality as well.

It was indeed an unpleasant visit today. My boyfriend and I had been going to Classified whenever he visits Hong Kong. Food and services are usually good. When we went there today, things had hugely slipped. We arrived around 3ish this afternoon and we sat ourselves down on a table inside the main hall. The restaurant was not busy today and I don't have a clue what was going on.

We ordered egg benedict, steak sandwich, chilli fries, an espresso and a skim mocha. I could hardly believe how hard to make a proper mocha: they used chocolate powder for the mocha yet the powder was grainy and never dissolved. Their eggs benedict, which used to be tasty, today was poor effort. The muffin was soggy, thin and chewy; the egg was too acidic; hollandaise was not tasty at all. Steak sandwich and chilli fries were edible at best and the espresso was the worst we had in a long time.

Burrata with tomato and rocket leaf $150
Burrata was soft and runny, however the taste was not very strong.
Vinegar was fruity and thick, like a condensed one. It added flavor to the cheese perfectly.
Sliced tomatoes were fresh and juicy, making the dish very appetizing.
Everything just went so well together !

Steak with fries (forgot the exact price but its around $200 smth)
The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, you could see the beautiful pinkish color inside.
The best part of the dish was actually the fries. They were incredibly good, crispy, flavorful but not greasy at all!
Also, the portion was quite large with such price.

Nice food and nice environment with a reasonable price.
Ideal for those who would like a relaxing and filing lunch/brunch.

I remembered at this hour in Paris, all you get is a croissant and a coffee, but surely not in Classified! To me the menu screamed American, with its generous servings and wide selection.

Coming in I know Classified is known for produce and bread, not cooking, so I ordered the cold cut and cheese healthy platter, and a bagel with cream cheese which is nostalgic from the days in America.

Sure enough, the cheese did not disappoint, and the bread and the cold cuts remind me of good quality in terms of freshness and taste.

But... To me something is missing. Everything is laid out as a cozy neighborhood cafe, priced as such, but the ambiance of the staff didn't quite do it for me.

The price was a bit high for a lot of bread at $200, but I would deem reasonable for the name and vibe.

點了一款肉,配上的是lemon-herb couscous。肉方面是夠嫩滑易入口,羊味不太突出,但醬汁的味道不知如何說有點怪怪的,反正我不太喜歡,影響了羊。但是lemon-herb couscous卻很好吃很好吃,香料和檸檬味道並重,而且份量不少,正!

Classified is one of the few places in HK that has outdoor seating. I came here on a Sunday and it was packed! we were lucky and got a small table outside. However it is self-service policy for people sitting outside...weird!i had the baked camembert, it was delicious..cheese lovers would love it! My friend ordered a salad and it was not bad, nothing special.Overall a nice place with a good vibe, provides decent food so will come back again for a relax afternoon!
