Have always loved this place and they have recently moved to a nicer location down the road and have given out more selections for lunch. This was a bit different to their usual salad selection and had a few different ingredients cooked and you were able to choose a few from a small or large box. They still have fresh salad option but this is a nice change. Food was of high quality, tasted good and fresh ingredients. Well worth it. Come early or late as they are usually packed during lunch rush

Created my own personal raclette night because I didnt want to share with other members of the public. Managed to get around 12 people and it was so worth it to get the top floor space all to ourselves. It was an all you can eat package and for drinks you just had to make sure you bought drinks from downstairs, they have such a large selection of wines, sparklings etc from amazing small brand locations. The dinner itself they said was all you can raclette, they were melting it off around 2-3 che

Created my own personal raclette night because I didnt want to share with other members of the public. It was an all you can eat package and for drinks you just had to make sure you bought drinks from downstairs, they have such a large selection of wines, sparklings etc from amazing small brand locations. 
The dinner itself they said was all you can raclette, they were melting it off around 2-3 cheese wheels right in front of us. and you could ask for more cold cuts veggies and potatoes if you wanted. The cheese was so filling and rich that I only managed 2 plates, others only managed 1, the big boys managed 3! Were definitely so full after eating, could barely move.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful and love to joke around with you. Location was top floor and we had that space all to ourselves, however they have now moved, so not sure what they will be doing.

As a picky salad lover, my favorite has always been pp great’s. Everyone is eating out less often nowadays, including myself. Was around the district for work and always wanted to try food from this French foodie spot, lasagna was already sold out and the pick ur own salad area is closed after lunch hour so I got this box of chicken grape salad which is pretty nice, plenty of chicken in it with a rich creamy dressing and the lettuce were quite fresh and crunchy.

值得推介還有另一個秘密,就是再上一層。一上到去見到簡單淺色木製枱櫈,配合外面晒入來的陽光,感覺好像剛由多啦a夢的隨意門行出來,因為以為霎時去了法國的小街巷裡的cafe,心情頓時鬆了和開心了。

不熟悉的客人可能一入店,會在地舖那層買餐酒、鵝肝醬、三文治、cold cuts凍肉片、法式甜點糕餅等,一般除了附近工作的食客識窿路知道在樓上1/F有個好extensive salad bar,但很多食客買完沙律便拿著自己盒沙律返公司食。誰知這店還有另一個寶藏,就是2/F的優閒法式風味自助cafe。喜歡餐酒芝士的放工後還可上來happy hour摸杯底🍷🥂🍾及品嚐好味特色芝士🧀🧀,人生一大樂事🇫🇷

It was a great experience! Place is a big far away, yet very easy to find. The service was very good - we were served new dish as soon as we were about to finished the food. The atmosphere was cozy - the French style , loads of painting and tiny decorations. Most importantly - the food was SUPERB! Would definitely come here again ! Highly recommended for a nice dinner out with your date or close group of friends. P.S. before you go upstairs , don’t forget to grab a nice bottle of wine for a reta

經過鋪頭好幾次,門面係賣法式麵包、酒、外國香料等,所以從來都冇留意鋪頭係食店,直接朋友介紹先知原來依間面積唔大嘅鋪頭仲係一間salard bar,有賣salard &sandwich,一共3層(地下賣外國食材、1樓選擇salard 食物,2樓有座位)沙律: 沙律菜+3/4款自選食物+配料+dressing自選食物選擇有大約有十幾款食物(eg: 西蘭花、紅菜頭、藜麥、eggplant、mushroom、roast chicken、boiled egg、cheese etc)。而我今日個meal就係$65選3款,選擇左eggplant、roast chicken& ghost cheese。份量方面,我一個女仔而言就岩岩好,其他外個男士就選擇4款自選食材沙律。除左食物外,個人最鍾意係店舖面積雖然不大,但部擺設同格局比我感覺好cosy好適服,可以享受一個寧靜Lunch Break。

Home made foie gras is the best I never eat  ,  and the saucissons with a good wine  at their lounge ,  amazing  ! so many choice ....  I finished with a typical home made fruit tart,   My opinion : YOU  HAVE TO TRY

店鋪的裝修就像一間法式的小店,加上橱窗精緻的甜品,很引人注目而店內亦有很多外國的食品和酒,最吸引我的當然是他的甜品除了我最喜歡的Pear Tart店內還有很多自家制的蛋糕和餅乾等等而我對於他們家的撻,情有獨鍾的原因是他們的撻做得很夠份量撻底很實,但咬下去不會很硬,也不會掉下很多碎對於女孩子用手拿着吃也很方便。而且撻做得很香,甜度適中,加上撻不會很乾,容易入口,另外包裝盒也很漂亮很有心思希望下次再經過可以試一下其他味道喜歡甜品的女孩子也可以試一試丫

希望下次再經過可以試一下其他味道

Anyway, Mr. Chatte has an all-you-can-eat raclette deal going. It's only on Thursdays and you have to book in advance. Seating is limited, but not quite as cramped as they make you believe when you talk to them beforehand. I don't know if the French in general like to lower your expectations before punching you in the jaw with something awesome, but that's how it played out here. There's no byob, but you can buy wines from the shop at their normal prices, and they're happy to chill them in ice water if you buy white. They have a wine from the region the cheese is from, if you're that big on pairing, and I can't recall the price for sure, but it's around $150. Water is free, but not sparkling water.

If you don't know what raclette is, let me fill you in. "Raclette" is a French word meaning "scraped." The dish is of Swiss-German origin, and, at least in Mr. Chatte's incarnation, involves a half-wheel of cheese, placed below a broiler. The top of the cheese is roasted and then scraped off onto a plate, and then you eat it with salad, potatoes, pickles, and meats.

One thing that I love about Hong Kong is the endless amount one learns about cross-cultural communication. As difficult as I find communicating with locals sometimes, one thing that helps is that they are willing to see my crazy requests as crazy. French people always assume I'm rational and give me what they think I should want, rather than what I in fact asked for. Exhibit A: I kept asking for no potatoes, just cheese. You see, I had pegged potatoes as dead weight, what with my goal being to gain as much weight from cheese as possible, and wind up dead sooner. I never once succeded at communicating this idea. As the French say, oy vey.

The cheese is very good. If you've had raclette before, obviously it's like that. I like it better than fondue, it's nice and creamy and smells better, in my opinion. The potatoes are, as I've said, dead weight. I also think they're rather bland. They are meant to be covered in cheese, so that partly counts against their blandness counting against themselves, but *to be completely fair* fries meant to be covered in cheese are meant to be covered in cheese, and they aren't bland. The pickles are cornichons and pickled onions. They are relatively inconsistent: not everyone got onions and most of us asked for "more pickles" the second time around and got wildly different amounts. The meat was of three kinds: a French ham, a salami-thing, and a prosciutto-thing. The latter things weren't called 'salami' and 'prosciutto', so we had trouble articulating what we want more or less of (to be clear, they say you can have more or less of anything you like. This is true insofar as you can communicate).

All in all, this was one of the most fun meals I've had in HK. One time I did the eat-in-the-dark thing, that might have been more fun, and maybe the time I ate on a boat (not Jumbo!). But the staff is really nice, they're more-than-prepared for your personal decadence, seeing as they see sweaty-cheese-eaters on a weekly basis, and the wine just keeps goin' 'round. Everything I do or eat or meet at Mr. Chatte is great; it's the best part of the Frenchification of Sheung Wan and I hope they never go out of business.

在上環找餐廳午膳,對此地區不熟悉,又不想食茶餐廳,到處逛逛時見到一家小店,只看店門一點也不像食店,但見門口放了午市套餐的紙牌便推門進去。店的面積不大,賣的是法式麵包及一些外國香料等,亦有三文治及批的冷藏櫃。想食得健康些,選了沙律餐。店員叫我上1樓選沙律,才知原來店是有好幾層的。1樓是選材料區,有大約20款食物,可選4款。選了西蘭花、紅菜頭、蝦,怕不夠飽要了藜麥,還可選南瓜籽作配料,最後選 sauce。之後店員替我把所有食材混好,再給我一碗蘑菇湯。蘑菇湯香濃,若再多些蘑菇會更佳。沙律雖然只有4款,但全部都份量很多。沙律菜及紅菜頭新鮮清甜,蝦當然不能與食日本菜的刺身蝦相比,但亦算爽口。還有一個生果,食完既飽肚又健康。沙律餐要79元,價錢挺貴,不過茶餐廳水準一般的午餐也動輒要50元以上,要食些新鮮健康的食材,這裡價錢也算合理。

Monsieur Chatte now has a lunchtime salad bar on the second floor. After the opening of Jenny's Salad and Purple Tomato, and now this, the salad competition is getting pretty thick in Sheung Wan. For my vote? I actually think M. Chatte does it best.Here's the deal: for $60 you get lettuce + 3 ingredients, with an additional $10 per ingredient. The ingredients (and I probably don't recall them all) include: turkey cubes, chicken, ham, roast beef (?), emmental, feta, goat cheese, broccoli, carrots

I chose the chicken, carrots, and goat cheese, with onions and crutons, and a little bit of French vinegar and oil. Here are some things I liked about the salad:

1. The woman making it makes it Subway-style, by adding the ingredients as you ask for them. I don't like the style where you order all the ingredients at once and then they make it. That's when things you don't want start to sneak their way in.

2. They are very generous with the cheese and meat. I like Jenny's Salad and Purple Tomato, but there is much better value here.

3. The crutons are amazing. Not so at Jenny's Salad.

4. They toss the salad for you before packaging it so you don't have to figure out how to stir it in a tiny plastic box. Not so at Purple Tomato.

5. Free stuff. All the other salad places charge you for things like onions, when the actual value of a few thin slices of onion sits around $0.00.

6. A little! Since they make the salad in front of you, you can get "a little!" bit of dressing and it will actually happen.

I have two complaints though. First, I was unimpressed with the quality of the chicken. There was lots of skin and I got a few inedible bits. I think I'd go with the turkey cubes next time. Second, of far less importance, I wish they'd throw a bone to Americans and have ranch dressing. I know, I know, but it's the thing I like most about salads.

All that said, and like I said, I think this is the best place for salad in the SW area right now. So get in before they give up the ghost or jack up the prices.

Easily one of the best, if not the best, canele in Hong Kong. Arrived at around 5pm and ordered 1. Appreciate its oven on the 2nd floor for the customers to reheat this heavenly product.The little black "pudding" coming out from the oven was just superb, with mouth-watering smell, crunchy surface and moist stuffing. It was so rich in taste of egg. Coupling with its caramelized skin, you will enjoy the combination of all in each bite. A reheat for 4 mins at 180 degree is recommended (several minu

自今年去了法國南部旅遊後, 愛上了它 - Canelé.   這個子小小的法國糕點. 所以每次外遊或出差, 必定去尋找它的踪影. 吃遍了法國有名的連鎖店, 台北的有名推介, 以及日本的法國糕點店, 最後發現原來我的最愛竟然在...香.....港!!! Monsieur CHATTÉ       它的焦糖外皮有點嚼勁, 透著光澤, 但內心鬆軟, 十分有彈性, 可吃得出雞蛋香和絲絲的雲呢嗱味.  此糕的酒香不太濃烈, 正合我口味.  原來幸福在身邊, 不用再到遠洋尋找!

它的焦糖外皮有點嚼勁, 透著光澤, 但內心鬆軟, 十分有彈性, 可吃得出雞蛋香和絲絲的雲呢嗱味.  此糕的酒香不太濃烈, 正合我口味. 

原來幸福在身邊, 不用再到遠洋尋找!

Although a fair number of things deliver in Hong Kong, I find delivery often takes a while and costs a lot (when it's not Mickey D's). I want something simple and cheap: good food I can take away and heat up at my leisure, and eat on my couch.

To resolve my predicament, I more and more frequently turn to Monsieur Chatte. They have plenty pre-made stuff, including salads and sandwiches, but I've never had those. No, in their refrigerated section they have a rotating selection of really yummy, perhaps a little too fatty, French and Italian food: boeuf bourguignon w/ mashed potatoes, seafood pasta, lamb and beans, lasagne, ravioli, pork and rice... with one exception that I'll reveal in a minute, everything's been fantastic. And affordable. The best, by far, I'll say, is the boeuf bourguignon-- amazing potatoes, and a really good stew. A+, recommended unreservedly, I wish they had it more often.

This is half a lasagne (my wife had the other half) and half a package of pork ravioli with broccoli (might've been something more exciting like wild boar). I had a lasagne craving when I picked this up, and the lasagne was, predictably, very good. Meaty, cheesy, and soft but with a nice baked crust. It satisfied my cravings admirably. A, excellent. The ravioli were a different story-- they're the one thing I ever didn't like at MC. Bland and flaccid, with hardly any filling and hardly any flavor. They also had preciously little broccoli (you can see one sprout at the bottom of the picture). It pains me to rate them, but: D, poor.

I find that French wines in Hong Kong are priced way out of proportion to their true value, and should probably never be bought here. This puppy was 50% syrah and 50% grenache. At $128 it was one of the cheapest bottles at MC. My wife called it "alcohol-y tasting," and grenache is typically on the higher side. I liked its boldness but, y'know, I would. A little flat. B, good.

I couldn't speak more highly of the takeaway at MC. The entrees are priced affordably, and with the sole exception of the ravioli that I wasn't too keen on, everything has been a solid B-to-A+ level, and I've had at least 8 different dishes there. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, and the selection of imported stuff is enticing.

之前嘗了網上店鋪Le Canele D'or的Canele立刻愛上這隻外表丑丑的 內心很美麗的小傢伙這次是食友Connie買來一起分享的 切開來 香甜的蛋香已經散開 相比較Le家的 這裡的外表稍有些韌 不過橫截面也是充滿氣孔 初初入口覺得有點干 細細品嘗下 也是頗為柔軟 最是喜歡吃完后 口腔還會留有淡淡的焦糖香氣 謝謝Connie的甜蜜分享
