6月底,与朋友约会,选择在这家米二星吃午餐。餐厅装修的风格让人眼前一亮,简洁、明快。德国主厨微笑着跟客人打着招呼。三份“手指餐前小吃”很快就端上桌,火腿同芝士的融合、tuna与西红柿的搭配,马上帮我们打开了味蕾。接下来是传统的面包沾油醋,大家自行脑补画面。主菜有鲜甜的芦笋龙虾面不要钱的黑松露(加面), 因为主厨拿着松露在你面前不停地“擦、擦、擦”,香味扑鼻,好愉快还有好多,直接上图片。 三个人(女生),是不是食量有点大?全部吃完后,服务员说还有甜点、虽然我们嘴里说吃不了了,但是,什么都没剩下。外面封路、下雨,一切都因这些美味而可以忽略。

6-course Degustation menu $1680pp
Their sourdough is as good as I remembered, the bread crust is extremely crunchy with strong moist inner structure, just wish it could be served warmer. As I don’t prefer cheese, they’ve kindly arranged a tartlet trio as the amuse bouche while my friends get the cheesy bites. The tartlets is so light and delicate, a great appetizers to start the courses.

Started with some luxury highlighting Imperial Osietra caviar with scallops. Mine swapped burrata with sliced beetroot beautifully crafted as flower. As a beetroot fans, this is a very enjoyable starter.

Red prawn ravioli is an interesting fusion dish that combines our chinese xo sauce to pasta, ravioli stuffed with dried scallops is shaped like a chinese dumpling with a very thin pasta, it reminds us of the dim sum shrimp dumplings in Chinese restaurant. The red prawn head jus is a strong reduction with such immense rich sea flavor.

Langoustine, again cooked to perfection, still opaque in center. The smoked pike roe brings that extra layer of smoky and umami that feels almost like a grilled dish.

Main course is a good medium rare Miyazaki beef with high fat content, very tender melt in the mouth goodness but I’d prefer a bit more charred on the outside. The long bean presented in a roll is very clever and elegant. The truffle sauce is dark and rich taste very much like our chinese fermented black bean sauce.

They have most certainly save the BEST for last, the dessert is exceptional and one to remember. Not very often you’ll have black truffle in your dessert and it’s balanced to perfection. The hint of savory truffle aroma paired with dark chocolate harmoniously, the tofu ice cream is the refreshing cleanser amongst the richness. Altogether, it’s such a multi-layered sensation that challenges the conventional expectation of a dessert.

Another lunch treating my friend after my promotion. The small appetizers definitely packed plenty of flavors to it and the server kindly advised us to eat it from right to left. Despite my love for cheese, I really loved the herring the most, being the most refreshing with the amalfi lemon.

The first course for the lobster roll and organic salad also featured amalfi lemon. Despite the roll seemed small, there was a lot of fillings inside and it was almost as good as having the lobster itself.

For desserts, despite the hazelnut needs a complimentary cost, I actually liked the vanilla souffle a bit more. Despite the lovely truffles, I felt there was a bit too much flavors packed in the dessert to appreciate them all(or simply my palate is not complex enough)

Uni Tortelloni (supplement $180)
The euphoria continued with another seafood-based pasta. The combination of fish broth and uni, together with the uplifting fragrances of greens was otherworldly. It was further amped up with the pieces of fried garlic on top, which added some textural contrasts and punch to the dish.

It was melt-in-the-mouth tender, enlivened by the earthiness of thinly-sliced fungi. The real showstopper however, was the layer of carbs underneath. The rice sponged up all the beef juices, making it sinfully addictive.

Verdict
Food here indubitably lived up to its hype, but sadly, not the service. There were nothing remarkly wrong, but servers were just not attentive and professional as other counterparts with similar price range. But this aside, our tastebuds and stomachs certainly did revel the meal.

宮崎牛肉落order已經講明唔中意食太生,要煮返熟少少。就算熟咗D,牛肉都好juice,食得出喺高質牛肉,輕微調味已經可以襯出牛肉鮮味。唔洗特別加錢已經可以食到咁高質素牛肉,勁OK

哩間餐廳無論擺盤,口味同食材質素都算高質,拿到二星實至名歸,不過都有少少改善空間:
1. 分量太細,食前未作功課,唔知道同8 1/2 otto e mezzo bombana喺一個集團,如果知道嘅話,一定唔會叫3-course,而會叫4-course,加多一份意粉。之前試過8 1/2 otto e mezzo bombana喺啱啱飽,麵包喺食咗兩件才OK。我同FD真喺好細食嘅人,晚餐只喺食6件壽司已經好飽,咁D套餐未食飽,分量就真喺好細

2. 餐前小食,麵包同前菜時間安排太逼,未食完餐前小食,麵包已經來咗。麵包食到一半,侍應已經好趕住擺前菜餐刀,因為前菜來咗。第一次喺米其林星星餐廳食到咁趕,已經1分鐘影完相即刻食啦,比客人感覺唔喺更好LOL。之後等咗20分鐘才來咗主菜,前面時間真喺安排咗合理少少會好D。仲有真喺唔好喺客人食嘢時候放落刀叉,心裡真喺嗶一聲,你地咁趕時間咩

不過,哩間餐廳質素真喺唔錯,雖然喺有D小問題,提出都喺希望餐廳可以改善,之後一定會再幫襯!

平時係慳妹一名,好少食咁貴嘅餐廳,試完真係返唔到轉頭呀哈哈哈哈當日好晏先開始食飯,所以淨係食左4 courses前菜賣相精緻,脆餅加少少魚生幾開胃,churros 一般,冇太大驚喜Hokkaido Abalone 好新鮮!平時唔會用嫩滑形容鮑魚,但佢真係嫩滑喎。連平時唔多鍾意食青豆嘅我,都清咗墊底嘅青豆哈哈 Linguine Red Prawn 必食!蝦肉彈牙,醬料香濃,唔好似個面好似一啖食得晒,其實加埋加埋好飽.....Mayura Beef 入口即融,非常重牛味Chocolate Souffle 係天使與魔鬼係化身,口感好light,但味道係Rich 架喎.... 真心正食完甜品都仲有朱古力,好邪惡嘅一餐飯!

中環米芝蓮2星意大利餐廳,上網訂位好方便lunch去食,點左6-course tasting menu 冇飲酒,人頭$1900/位。因為想試晒全部所以嗌6-course,但冇嗌到佢最signature 嘅紅蝦意粉🥲menu上面好似見唔到,唔知係咪睇漏左,開頭以為個red prawn ravioli係signature🤷🏻‍♀️ 野食都係個啲每個course兩啖嘅fine dine 食物好味,唔大食嘅女仔可以試下😂但唔知男仔食夠唔夠飽。野食好靚,環境都靚。下次要再食佢個紅蝦意粉!6個course入面最好味係龍蝦

餐廳比想像中細好多好多 坦白說裝修不太似係二星的格局😅
裝修不是走奢華路線 十分平實 感覺Venedia Grancaffe仲高級(有點少失望)
好在我一早book定窗口位置
因為除左窗邊位置拍照比較好看 其他座位都普普通通~
(⚠️如果大家係for慶祝嘅話 一定要預留窗邊位置!)
相信食物應該有返咁上下質素先可以拎到二星🤭

十分難得地今次食到最尾仲食埋petit fours竟然都唔太飽~😂

雖然Octavium的梳乎厘很不錯 但心目中最佳仍然係屬於Caprice無誤~

上碟時會淋上士多啤梨醬汁 不是個種很假的士多啤梨味
豆腐味雪糕上面放了一塊士多啤梨蛋白餅 味道酸酸甜甜
味道清新 配搭很特別 層次好豐富
是很有驚喜的一道甜品

Tagliolini比預想嘅再幼身啲 超重蛋香味
食落冇乜醬汁 味道亦比較淡
整體係好食嘅 但…冇太大驚喜 加百幾蚊試就真係唔建議

食過幾間米芝蓮星級餐廳嘅blue lobster
雖然大家嘅烹飪手法都唔同 但最回味暫時係呢個
之前食過都係偏向將龍蝦嘅精華熬製 再做個sauce
呢個係另外再多咗種奶香 極creamy嘅醬汁
再混合埋龍蝦嘅鮮味 再啱我口味多啲!!
龍蝦肉鮮甜 口感實在 日本魷魚切到好薄 食落爽彈
日本珍珠米痴曬龍蝦汁同醬汁 加埋中間有清甜檸檬肉解膩
一啖全部一齊放入口 味道平衡得超好 口感豐富 超! 滿! 足!

一塊正常處理 一小塊慢煮
宮崎牛雖然咬落比較有口感 但唔係韌!
唔係入口即融嘅牛 但口感柔嫩依然
個人覺得兩塊嘅分別唔太大
肉汁豐富 入口牛味濃郁 油花啱啱好唔太膩
配嘅羊肚菌再釀入咗菇菌粒 香味提升

上枱夠熱 質感超級鬆軟 空氣感好夠 蛋香味係 超 級 重
底下部分濕潤度啱啱好 入口真係”梅”兩下就溶咗
甜度少少偏甜但可以接受 配嘅雪糕係牛奶雲呢拿味
包圍住嘅朱古力碎可以增加雪糕同soufflé軟綿綿嘅口感

Pic 1️⃣: 𝐀𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐞-𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞
— Both dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Perfect way to start off the meal and prepare your palate for the rich flavours to follow.


Pic 2️⃣: 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐢𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐬 / black truffle / celery / pears
— Perfectly balanced dish with flavours that came together so well. The goose foie gras was smooth with a rich flavour that was complemented well with a slight hint of black truffle. The sweetness from the pears really brought the dish together and helped balance out the creaminess and intense flavour of the foie gras. Not to mention, it added a contrast of textures to the dish as well.


Pic 3️⃣: 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐚 / caviar / savoy cabbage / cauliflower
— A very interesting dish with fresh ingredients and flavours. Tuna was well seasoned and flavours were elevated with the addition of caviar. The savoy cabbage and cauliflower added a slight crunch to the dish and complemented the tuna
well.


Pic 4️⃣: 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧 / pumpkin / flower / distel oil
— So beautifully plated I almost didn’t want to eat it! The cook on the pigeon was perfectly executed, flavours were rich but not overpowering. Never thought how well pumpkin and pigeon would go together but their flavours really compliment each other well and helps lightens up the dish.


Pic 5️⃣: 𝐇𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 / veal tendons / chicken jus / wild fennel
— This was amazing. Presentation wise it may not be as nicely plated as the others but the flavours were definitely on point. The abalone was cooked to perfection, and soaked up all the flavours from the chicken jus. The wild fennel added a nice aroma to and crunchy texture to the dish. This might be one of my favourite abalone dishes recently!


Pic 6️⃣&7️⃣: 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 / spanish red prawn / tomato
— Those familiar with Octavium will know about their famous red prawn linguine that is worth every penny! The red prawn is cooked to perfection, leaving the meat to be tender and juicy. They also recommend squeezing in the juice from the head of the prawn into the linguine for extra flavour!


Pic 8️⃣: 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢 / garlic / fish broth / uni
— Loved this dish! Everything from the presentation to taste was simply amazing. The tortelloni were generously filled and had a great cook on them that absorbed all the flavours of the fish broth really well. Ioved the addition of uni on top for an elevated touch and burst of flavour that went perfectly with the other elements of the dish.


Pic 9️⃣: 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨 / truffle / guineafowl / mandarin
— Look at that truffle! 🤤 This was such an interesting dish with unique flavours that I’ve personally never thought would go together so well. This risotto had an undeniable freshness to it and the addition of mandarin definitely helped cut through the rich flavours of the guineafowl and creamy texture of a risotto. The shaved mushrooms and truffles on top added an intense aroma to the dish without being overpowering.


Pic 🔟: 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 / donabe rice / zucchini sauce
— Such a beautifully presented dish! In comparison to the other dishes, this definitely had more subtle flavours allowing the lobster to really shine through on its own. That being said, the lobster was cooked perfectly and paired alongside a light zucchini sauce that was fresh and easy on the palate.


Pic 11: 𝐌𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 / hasselback carrot / mandarin / pepper
— Between the blue lobster and miyazaki beef, this might just be my favourite! The beef itself was so tender with the perfect amount of marbling that made it cut through like butter. Loved the sweetness from the hasselback carrot that helped balance out the savoury flavours from the beef. Nothing bad to say about this dish because it was pretty much perfect.


Pic 12: Desserts: 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 / stracciatella ice cream & 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬
— This soufflé was simply perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever had a soufflé this good ever. The soufflé was so light and airy, with a rich vanilla taste and a perfect amount of sweetness to it. The salted caramel sauce on top was a perfect pairing to the soufflé as the slight saltiness balanced out the sweetness very well and elevated the dessert as a whole. The stracciatella ice cream served on the side was equally as delicious and complimented the warm soufflé perfectly.

— Simple yet tasty petit fours to end the meal. A favourite of mine were the sesame tuiles that had an intense roasted sesame flavour that definitely left a lingering aroma on the palate.
