我哋都直接揀咗濃味嘅😂重口味人士🙌

首先飲鵝肝清湯 會將鹿肉刨成片再倒入鵝肝湯,飲既鵝肝味同食既鵝肝味有分別,鵝肝味雖然出,但湯好鹹鹹到澀

餐前小食 法式酥皮批由小鹿同野兔肉製成,批上擺咗一粒蜆肉,印象記得批入面既肉吾多,就好似普通食一個鹹批。反而松雞和鰹魚火腿三文治較出色,一咬 鰹魚味已經充,滿住口腔,松雞係配角冇咩味道,多咗個口感

嚟咗一份麵包,牛油自家製😅冇試過一次食咁多牛油,完全吾油膩。麵包一層又一層 又靚又鬆脆既酥皮,食落濃厚牛油香同酥脆❤️❤️❤️

墨魚肉派 野鳥以鵝肝醬同辣椒醬為餡,外層包裹住墨魚,墨魚肉令我印象深刻,肉質肥厚有韌 好有咬口,辣椒醬少辣用黎調味,幾特別嘅配搭。野鳥肉令我諗起未煎既午餐肉🙃做乜形容到咁平凡嘅

Galantine凍肉冷盤係紅體綠鰭魚配以雉雞、魚湯啫喱同新鮮意大利阿爾巴白松露。松露、魚湯啫喱配搭獨活草奶油同凍肉冷盤一齊食。魚湯啫喱好清新 魚肉偏硬。可能將個重點放咗係魚肉,好似冇食到雉雞咁

鷓鴣係牛油風乾 12 日,烤烘之後再用煙燻草。👀大開眼界 鷓鴣腿充滿住煙燻味,入口即化,腿肉冇乜油脂軟嫩無比配上提子醬汁酸酸甜甜 令人開胃👍鍾意食呢個餸

湯同墨魚肉派都好鹹,餐前小食正常入到口,凍肉冷盤同鷓鴣雖然冇咁鹹,但都鹹

開估~刀係用左邊去切‼️我就慢慢切,心諗點解切極都切唔到呢?侍應走過黎同我講把刀掉轉咗黎用🤣我同肥仔對望之後笑咗出嚟😆兩個成年人用錯刀

諗住黎食生日飯,大部份食物都遠低於期望,最出名既魚子醬撻,要額外加$688,以為驚為天人,但其實一啲驚喜都無,海膽蓋過曬魚子味。服務更加係大失所望,置身米之蓮兩星既餐廳,但比我既感覺係百零蚊餐廳,出現倒酒會彈酒落枱情況,酒杯會清而無人斟酒,白酒又吾夠凍,而且吾係每道菜都清理枱上殘餘,唯一有印象係加成一千蚊既main course,但總體黎講,真係完全吾值呢個價錢!!!絕不推薦人黎呢度食,一啲都吾值呢個價。

只可以講呢間店幾特別
同埋製作很用心

但係可以肯定唔係個個識得欣賞

It's always a trial and error visiting restaurants with Michelin blessing since quite a number of them are overrated. During each visit, I have to manage the expectation instead of getting overwhelmed. I have read a lot of good reviews about Écriture and there we go. Then, we were also here for the white truffle (first time not at Bombana). The tasting menu has a couple of add-ons and my advice is that you can stick with the original menu without paying extra. Here comes my favorite of the night

- Pomme Dauphine (crispy potato puff) with horseradish cream & caviar
- Lamb sweetbread nuggets...I am not a lamb fan yet this one is easy to eat without a strong scent of the lamb

- Pumpkin tart

I wanna highlight one of the appetizers separately since this is the only dish that wow me at the dinner - "Yakitori of Mont Saint Michel Mussels". The way how they presented it and "smoked" it right at your table created the excitement. The mussels are very juicy and tender, I wish I could have another set

Ebisu Oyster - the staff showed us the main ingredients of beef ham and tonburi (from plant and people used to call it "field caviar") before serving the dish. A refreshing dish as the mixture of ingredients and seasoning really enhanced the taste.

We took the add-on for the Alba white truffle with the pumpkin tortellini. As usual, the white truffle is shaved at the table but to my surprise, I didn't catch the smell of it at all. The pumpkin was so sweet that I couldn't really taste the white truffle. Given the charge of $880/pax, it's a hit and miss.

Akamutsu - another fish dish with rosy sea bass wrapped in kombu with sake over the hot stones
I really enjoyed watching the chef finished up the dish at the table. I am a kombu lover and thought a piece of kombu will be served with the fish and I was wrong, only the fish on the plate. The meat of the Akamutsu is firm whilst the taste is on the light side, personally I like the Iwashi dish better with its lingering taste.

The Bresse Chicken is the main course and served in 3 ways: grilled thigh, chicken rice and soup dumpling (xiao long bao)
The chicken was cooked whole in sourdough which is very interesting and the chef just did a demonstration to show us the chicken sealed inside. However, they didn't explain the purpose of doing so and I am also concerned about the sourdough after it had been cut opened...where did it go? How many sourdough had been wasted? Could the bread be served as well? For this main course, each diner will have a portion of roughly a quarter of the chicken. In general, the 3 chicken dishes are good, just that the xiao lung bao is a bit dry.

Medium rare charcoal grilled wagyu with smoked caviar, the meat just melted in the mouth yet with texture. Just be reminded that there's an additional charge of $788 to go with this main course and the portion is small.

You will love this restaurant if you are a big fan of dessert since they provided us with "4-course" dessert and we were stuffed! We didn't expect the surprise of a chocolate mousse cake hidden in the "book" that had been idling on the table whole night long. We just thought this "book" was one of the decoration on the table LOL.

To sum up, Écriture is a small restaurant with contemporary decor. The dining experience is a food journey filled with fun which reminds me of Madison Eleven in NYC. All the dishes are good without doubt but they didn't really stun me.  The staff are friendly and helpful, however, the junior ones are not "storytellers" which they can't really walk you through the journey. 
Btw, one highlight of the meal: you can choose your own knife.

The restaurant is conveniently located in central. We’ve booked window seating that allows natural sunlight on our table. If you have some time to spend for lunch, I would recommend you to take their set lunch! Everyone of us enjoyed the full dining experience, you’d find chef’s food with passion + excellent service at ecriture for sure.

不知道大家有否留意、盛載餐前小食的器皿是用紙做的,不止於此,給我放手袋的小椅亦是紙摺出來的,這是藝術!


與別不同的煮法令我開眼界,尤其習慣了日式吃法更覺新鮮感滿溢,論食味並非超班,但全程感受真好,是慶祝生日的好地方。

荷包輕了,肚子滿意,翌日收到大廚電郵感謝惠顧,心思細密及周到之處盡在不言中,怪不得,米芝蓮二星!

I had a very special lunch in this place. The resturant is decorated like a library with bookcases wall structure and harbour view. The staff speak different languages e.g. France, German, Nepal and of course English. I had tasted urchine, goat neck steak, and various veggie. Every course of dish was well explained by the staff in detail. The food was delicious and all cooked in a special way. Coupled with wine pairing, it was a wonderful time in having a lunch here.

Akamutsu 赤鯥魚,日本人很愛Akamutsu,Omakase也經常吃到,但都是一,兩片好了,今次餐廳做法也很復雜,堂上用清酒倒在熱石頭上,用蒸氣把包在葉內的魚肉蒸熟,不過我想魚本身已經熟了9成,最後在你面前表演一下。上碟後再倒上魚湯。這道菜份量很足夠。Akamutsu 油脂很豐富,須然我覺得做刺身比較鮮甜,但今次用蒸的做法,再混以魚湯,廚師也不加調味,保留原味也十分鮮味。

Miyazaki wagyu with smoked caviar 宮崎和牛配煙熏魚子醬 (另加788),印象最深就是這道菜,也是堂上做一個最後的煙薰步驟,但今次對象是魚子醬。是的,把煙薰魚子醬滿滿的倒在用木炭烤過宮崎和牛上。宮崎和牛肥而多脂,不會食到整口牛油,三成熟perfect pink,味極美。煙熏魚子醬很咸,單道食或配以淡味食物更適合,現在配上已經很濃列的和牛反而令兩種名貴食材都失了本身的美味。強例建議把這道菜分開品嘗更佳。

Dessert是日本芒果, fruit tart, 雪糕,吃完剛材的茴香雪芭,我對余下其他甜品已沒興趣,就只吃了兩塊新鮮日本芒果,介紹說是one tree one mango 所以會超甜,感覺很好吃,但也沒有到one tree one mango的甜度,可能棵樹很細。

Nothing tasted amazing.
 Everything was just borderline OK. Only their Signature Caviar Tart was delicious but the portion did not justify the hefty price.  We were not informed that a supplement of + HK$688 per person would only get HALF of a Caviar Tart each.  No where on the menu mentioned it either. We expected a full portion for paying so much extra per person! 😭😭😭

Yes of course we knew this place would be expensive, but there were just too many add-ons in the dinner menu 💸 


Library of Flavors (Dinner Menu) was HK$ 1788 p.p. Then there were the supplements of +HK$ 688 p.p. for Wagyu Beef and  +HK$688 p.p. for only HALF of a Caviar Tart.

Their desserts were pretty forgettable as well 



The only nice little surprise was a chocolate tart with Happy Birthday 🎂 hidden inside a book decoration on the table, which was revealed by the waiter at the end of the night.

Perhaps the food just tasted very mediocre. We were displeased when the bill came. 


Dinner for 4 people (with 2 glasses of wine) was : HK$ 13,300 💰💰💰
Each glass of wine 🍷 was : HK$ 550


Oh, and they overcharged us HK$ 300 for the cake cutting fee, for a cake we never managed to eat at their restaurant and was packed up in full to bring home.😡

You would be coming here merely to pay for their 2 Michelin star decor ⭐⭐ If you have cash to blow, please promise me to splurge it elsewhere!!! 💸

My friend and I have chosen the 5 courses lunch ($788) and we have basically selected all different dishes from the menu in order for us to try almost everything (except the caviar and white truffle which needs extra). Ecriture, a 2 stars Michelin restaurant led by Executive Chef Maxime Gilbert who elevates French Cuisine to new level by fusioning with exceptional Japanese ingredients. It located at top floor of H Queen’s in Central with artist’s blank canvas interior.

My friend and I have chosen the 5 courses lunch ($788) and we have basically selected all different dishes from the menu in order for us to try almost everything (except the caviar and white truffle which needs extra).

The Appetiser is Iwashi, Japanese sardine sashimi mixed with bergamot with Kobocha and hyssop. I would say the sauce is so special that I couldn’t find words to describe. It’s a perfect match with the strong taste fish like sardine. Vegetal Tortellini decorated like a beautiful flower and taste good but not as spectacular as the sardine.

2nd appetiser is Hagatsuo which served with peat and tagette jelly. It comes with I would say the best Sourdough in town. The other one is Tuna with crepes cooked in papillary and Japanese Shine muscat and pione grapes.

The Main course is grilled Kinki with leek fondue flavoured with fresh mint. The Kinki meat is so soft and perfectly charcoal grilled. The other main is french chicken with herbs under the skin. The course came with a small chicken rice with chicken liver.

Finally it’s the dessert. The first dessert is Persimmon, shave in ribbon and serve it raw with sorbet, calamansi gel and candied walnut.

2nd dessert is pear opalys white chocolate ganache and nuts feuillantine.

The petite four comes with Cognac Chocolate Tart, cream cheese Sponge cake and Japanese Strawberries. The chocolate cakes and sponge cake are in full dessert portion. I love the Cognac Chocolate so much as it gives a very strong Cognac and rich dark chocolate flavour.

I must come back for their dinner menu after the pandemic lock down.
