This is my second time having dinner here. It's a Friday night and we needed to OT so didn't have any plans. After getting off work, we tried to find a place for dinner but of course many places are full already. My friend reminded my that this place is usually not full (which is not anymore ) so we decided to have dinner here. We arrived around 8:30 and the place is full with a few reservations to come as well. Luckily, there were still seats available at the bar so we took it. Actually,
First of all, the menu is different now!!! (they changed their menu on 1 Jan 2014) French onion soup - superb! my favorite dish! I love their beef booth that it's not that strong nor salty, and I just couldn't resist the cheese on top. Roasted portbello mushroom - The cream sauce really made the mushroom and spinach bonded together. Yet, the salad at the side is a bit weird and I didn't just the red sauce there at all as well.
Parma ham & rocket pizza - I tried pizza here before and I think their pretty good, but I think we choose the wrong toppings this time. I didn't expect the parma ham to be so salty because the ones used for pizza is usually lighter than the ones you have as appetitzer which goes with fruits or crackers. It will be good for people who really likes parma ham but not for me. Monkey business - I just love this name because no matter which restaurant the dish/drink with this name must have my favourite fruit (BANANA!!!!). Well, I have to say the date pudding is average and not really special. Maybe it's just me that I am so into banana and I think this dish is excellent.
We also ordered coffee and they are as usually and same quality as you would have it in their cafe, so nothing much to say about.
