Picked this restaurant because of the menu advertised on their slick website which featured 600g baked lobster as a main and whole suckling pig as another main. Only to arrive and be told the menu online is out of date.... So 50% of the menu and all the good stuff not available. OK, I'm hungry just let me in. Proceed to order the Salmon with side of 'Crab and Sweetcorn risotto'.... Note the inverted commas. They are there for a reason, like a massive joke the chef is about to play on you.... The

OK, I'm hungry just let me in. Proceed to order the Salmon with side of 'Crab and Sweetcorn risotto'.... Note the inverted commas. They are there for a reason, like a massive joke the chef is about to play on you.... They're there to indicate that there is not one grain of rice in the risotto. It's basically sweetcorn kernels dressed in slivers of canned crabmeat... I bet the chef p#sses himself with laughter every time a customer orders that dish.

The only positive is that the Salmon was well cooked and well seasoned but there are better places for seafood in HK that don't involve a trek to KTown.

今日風光明媚天氣非常好,襯又係假期就一起身同朋友一齊去行山之後落左去西灣食tea。Kinsale環境都算唔錯,位置寬敞同waiter服務態度都好好架~小食先黎個buffalo wings,未見太出色,同普通buffalo wings 差唔多,不過值得一贊既係肉質都幾鮮嫩,唔會有雪藏味。之後仲叫左個 baked Camembert, mixed mushrooms & caramelised onions on toast. 我最中意食芝士架啦哈哈!上面焦糖煮過既洋葱配上軟綿綿既camembert芝士再加上新鮮蘑菇,放係烤之香脆既多士上面,好好味 呢個Full Irish Breakfast 有炒蛋、多士、腸仔、煙肉、番茄、black pudding 同炒香既蘑菇。味道普通,個人覺得炒蛋不夠嫩滑,而且black pudding 有d太乾,質素算普通。反而我覺得呢款Beer battered fish &russtic sea salted fries, green tartar sauce caramelised lemon 都算唔錯,脆漿做得都算薄,而且魚肉肉質嫩滑同分量都算多,而且

呢個Full Irish Breakfast 有炒蛋、多士、腸仔、煙肉、番茄、black pudding 同炒香既蘑菇。味道普通,個人覺得炒蛋不夠嫩滑,而且black pudding 有d太乾,質素算普通。

反而我覺得呢款Beer battered fish &russtic sea salted fries, green tartar sauce caramelised lemon 都算唔錯,脆漿做得都算薄,而且魚肉肉質嫩滑同分量都算多,而且個tartar醬永遠都統fish and chips 非常夾。整體黎講都算唔錯

黑菘露炒蛋放在三文魚上,冷丶熱共聚,有啲不習慣。把炒蛋吞到肚內,菘露香味才在咀内遊走。如果選用菘露切片,浸在打開的蛋汁内,約三分鐘後才炒,相信香味會更多層次呢。但三文魚部份被加熱,令魚油及魚腥味增加了。先分開牠們,還是食咗三文魚後才食蛋呢,有啲難决擇呀。

西式早丶午丶晚餐也有香腸。歐洲各處有當地特式香腸。最被談論是德國香腸,殊不知英國愛爾蘭香腸也是佳品。<Full Irish>以香腸為主食,其中有一片血腸,而血腸是由豬或牛血,加入牠的內臟及肉造成,比其他香腸咸,是包類及薯仔的好朋友。加上煙肉及太陽蛋,就盡展歐陸早丶午餐特式。煙肉要香脆不肥不咸,食嘅時候點啲蛋黃,係呀丶加上蛋黃汁的香濃,是我小時候的記憶。

主菜我叫左烤䱽魚, 成個味道好好,是奶油, 香草檸檬汁, 又放左塊牛油係魚身, 我自己塗。可惜魚被烤得過了火, 若然早點上碟, 魚肉應更細緻。 但師父做到了可以鎖住魚肉的鮮甜, 又於金黃魚皮散發著香草味,已是難得。咬落去魚不油膩, 而且魚皮金香脆口, 色香俱全! 整條魚上碟, 很有氣勢。

但勢估唔到Apple Crumble 蘋果批先係靈魂, 焗得好 perfect。d鬆脆餅粒同新鮮蘋果舖得好均滿。蘋果粒切得標準, 略甜, 唔知係咪浸過糖水, 但配上餅粒加云呢拿雪糕簡直一絕。冰火感覺交融, 甜蜜感覺共冶一爐。而奶油可任君選擇, 加入奶油後味道更香更濃。

今晚食完覺得環境一流食物一般,黎呢度聽著音樂談天說地gathering 不錯,但不要對食物有太高期望,主要係食裝修😅😅pork chop ,有香味但唔入味,肉係淡而無味,真心唔掂。青口, 有泰式sauce,配搭感覺較新鮮但sauce搶了青口既鮮味凱撒沙律,正常,中規中矩

Before the MTR was available, I attempted to dine here in Aug 2014 but when I got to the entrance no one served me and the waitresses for busy ignoring me so I left.The lunch and brunch hours are short and I was told that the brunch had finished even though it was still brunch hours.Anyway, this place is really noisy so don't expect a quiet lunch or brunch.Ordered bubble and squeak which seems to be the only place in HK that serves it after Harringtons closed.Unfortunately, the bubble and squeak

Anyway, this place is really noisy so don't expect a quiet lunch or brunch.
Ordered bubble and squeak which seems to be the only place in HK that serves it after Harringtons closed.
Unfortunately, the bubble and squeak was salty as hell.

想試呢間新餐廳好耐了,這天放工來到這裡搵食,因為要OT,來到的時間已經不早,晚上八點多,不用等位。環境很有格調,一邊是bar style,飲野傾計,另一邊是餐廳。點菜後送上自家製麵包,暖暖的,十二分肚餓的我來說可說恩物。麵包外脆內軟,很香牛油味,其實不用塗牛油都好好味。Ceaser Salad 不過不失,但antrovy很特別,沒平常的咸,較肥美。主菜是Crispy pork belly,期望很高,可惜肉太乾,是reheat 了嗎? 不過皮很脆,肉的味道亦不錯。本對烤薯side dish沒太高期望,但一上枱賣相已很吸引,很聰明地把薯仔開一行行,令到成個薯仔都十分香脆,好味。

堅尼地城站終於開了! 對於香港人說應該是一件大事吧~ 其實同時間也影響了當地的小店、民生,亦是近年常在不同社區發生的事情。但對於住在上水的我來說,是一件樂事,週末最愛於不同的社區走走,堅尼地城是我從沒去過的地方。因此,這個週末便和友人們特地到Kinsale一趟。Kinsale 是愛爾蘭的小鎮,雖然人口不多,但卻有「Gourmet Capital of Ireland」之美譽,走進到餐廳,感覺像去了外國的餐廳。餐廳空非常大間,以深色的木作桌子,入面有沙發、高枱,溫暖而舒適的家一樣。完全可以和朋友在這裡座一個下午,喜歡的是就算餐廳是滿座,也完全不覺得嘈吵,悠閒的背景音樂,我是去了外國嗎?Green Apple Juice 清新鮮榨果汁! Although I went at night, I can imagine how nice it would be in the day to have gentle rays of light seeping in whilst having brunch. The interior design definitely caught my eye. With a wooden ceiling, sleek sofas and ceiling fans, you feel as though you're walking into a traditional Irish house (of course, the upper class ones).
However, the food was a very big disappointment. Reading some reviews before visiting, I decided to order their signature dishes: the quinoa salad, the blue swimmer crab cake, the grilled sea bass, the Triple Double Realman’s Burger, and the duck leg. None of the dishes met my expectations. The quinoa was undercooked giving it an unappetizing crunch. The duck leg was by far the biggest disappointment. You know a dish is a failure when you occasionally bite into a mouthful of salt. The remaining dishes were neither here or there.
Giving it one last shot, I ordered the apple crumble. It was an absolute catastrophe. The crumbles were literally crumbles of flour. You would be surprised they actually decided to serve this.
Based on the decor you would have high expectations. Sadly, our expectations were probably set too high.
Considering it is a newly opened restaurant, I would give it a benefit of the doubt.

這一陣子,大家提起堅尼地城的話,無不想起快通車的西港島延線,其中一個港鐵站正正就位於堅尼地城,看來,這個小社區從此會熱鬧起來剛於這區開業不久的Kinsale,主打英式愛爾蘭菜,Kinsale就是愛爾蘭其中一個海邊小鎮,店主就是想在香港打做出那裡的風味Truffle scramble eggs on smoked salmon黑松露炒蛋實在是我倆的至愛,蛋不會炒得太熟,還有點點蛋汁保留着,是最愛的質感加上鮮香的煙三文魚,整道菜簡單又味美主菜,當然少不了一客Full Irish Breakfast當中最特別的,必數血腸black pudding,用血和內臟製作,羶味濃郁,好此道者必試!!!~更精彩更詳盡內容,不在這裡談,到部落格看吧~

Truffle scramble eggs on smoked salmon
黑松露炒蛋實在是我倆的至愛,蛋不會炒得太熟,還有點點蛋汁保留着,是最愛的質感
加上鮮香的煙三文魚,整道菜簡單又味美

It was a beautifully sunny Sunday when we decided to specifically go to Kinsale.  Been here few times already. Love the space, breakfast and coffee. Eggs Benedict was the best with perfectly cooked eggs that are runny and yellow.    The hollandaise sauce was perfectly cooked.  I would gladly have that with every other dish.  The pancakes serve with BACON was also delicious!!  The sweet and savoury was a perfectly matched.  The coffee served was beautifully creamy and strong!!!  Good size and not

The coffee served was beautifully creamy and strong!!!  Good size and not super small foran expensive price like other places.  Normally the service was pretty good.  My last visit however will my last.
 Had coffee only this time and was rushed off as the table was "booked" by the female door staff. Even though there were heaps of other tables. Too bad since the food was great (pancake, eggs, sandwich, burger) and coffees were some of the best in hk so far.

西環新開係消防局隔離,望住外面的大樹和海,位置環境簡值係滿分-cappuccino $38食BRUNCH 點少得杯咖啡丫,但有點兒失望泡打得唔好,唔夠多同厚,隻杯又細亦都唔香個人唔喜歡咖啡味道,帶微酸-SWEETCORN FRITTERS WITH SALMON配上幾好味的hollandaise sauce,底層的CORN FRITTERS也不錯,少啲粉會更好最上面的並不是poached eggs, 完全熟左,冇左RUNNY YOLK好似差緊啲咁整體感覺都OK,味道可以再多些層次更好-SPRING ONION ROSTI with asparagus & cheeseROSTI唔錯很脆,配料有青瓜,ASPARAGUS同埋一樣係熟左既蛋味道不錯見佢門面咁靚所以期望好高,冇令我有WOW的感覺,食物有改善空間 (仍然因為佢冇RUNNY POACHED EGGS覺得差緊啲),冇期望去食的話其實會好好. 但寛躺的環境,友善的服務態度會令人想坐多陣

見佢門面咁靚所以期望好高,冇令我有WOW的感覺,食物有改善空間 (仍然因為佢冇RUNNY POACHED EGGS覺得差緊啲),冇期望去食的話其實會好好.

但寛躺的環境,友善的服務態度會令人想坐多陣
