近年出席飯局多了,食友間的感情亦加深不少,就趁素素豬生日飯局,由另一食友南瓜發辦,找來意式餐廳做壽. 雖然是日大雨,但依然有十五位好友出席,排排坐西式長檯,加上柔和的燭光下,既熱鬧又高興. 先品嚐店方提供的香草麵包及芝士條,前者芳香軟熟,後者脆卜卜,用來等人時頂頂肚又幾好喎! 而菜單是早已同店方傾好. La Baita Menuolentina conditaSoft polenta with smoked ricotta cheese and sauteed pork cheek(香煎豬面頰配煙燻Ricotta芝士伴玉米麵糊)玉米麵糊即是粟米麵糊,老實說是不敢恭維,粟米味太輕柔,而且質感又粗糙,極像囝囝所食的糊仔, 煙燻Ricotta芝士味道反而更強烈,可能豬面頰偏咸,其他配搭相對地較淡口用作平衡吧! 另一道前菜是Calameretti con pomodoro piccanteBaby squid with spicy tomato sauce(辣番茄醬煮小魷魚)雖然自已沒點這道菜,幸好有茶兄毫不介意,讓小弟試試,相比起前者是對辦得多了,魷魚仔新鮮彈牙,份量又不少,蕃茄醬加入了辣椒

La Baita Menu:
Polentina condita
Soft polenta with smoked ricotta cheese and sauteed pork cheek

(香煎豬面頰配煙燻Ricotta芝士伴玉米麵糊)
玉米麵糊即是粟米麵糊,老實說是不敢恭維,粟米味太輕柔,而且質感又粗糙,極像囝囝所食的糊仔, 煙燻Ricotta芝士味道反而更強烈,可能豬面頰偏咸,其他配搭相對地較淡口用作平衡吧!

另一道前菜是
Calameretti con pomodoro piccante
Baby squid with spicy tomato sauce

(辣番茄醬煮小魷魚)
雖然自已沒點這道菜,幸好有茶兄毫不介意,讓小弟試試,相比起前者是對辦得多了,魷魚仔新鮮彈牙,份量又不少,蕃茄醬加入了辣椒汁,不單不會搶味,更將小魷魚的鮮味提升,吃著吃著,真的有點後悔.

(自家手製薯棗配小番茄及水牛芝士)

Gnocchi是一種由薯蓉加入幼鹽,麵粉等搓成的麵團,再切成細粒,今次配上新鮮車厘茄汁,再舖上水牛芝士, gnocchi似乎未能吸收茄汁的微酸及鮮味,而水牛芝士的香味又太輕,令人幾失望的一道主菜.

看來店方是以hand made作主打,單以賣相而言,說是肉醬意粉也無不可,bigoli質感太腍,個人絕不喜歡,反而鴨肉醬不看外表,以味道來說,鴨味濃郁,如果配上risotto,可能有意想不到的效果.

同意另一食友所講,魚肉是煮得過火,同樣地香草味太霸道,就算用上紅莓及陳醋汁,打算清清味蕾,看來作用不大.

(黑椒蜜糖烤鴨胸伴青豆角及烤玉米糕)

鴨胸份量超過十件,份量不少,在火侯上今次是好得多,至少外帶微焦而肉質嫩滑,sauce帶有蜜糖的天然甜味,而鴨汁及黑椒蜜糖汁滲落放底的粟米糕上,由於粟米糕是先用火炙過,煙煙韌韌,蘸點醬汁一齊食,令無乜味道的粟米糕都變得惹味得多.

Tiramisu cake
攪手刻意將餐單上的Tiramisu整個上,當生日蛋糕用,又的確有點心思.論質感至少夠濕潤,酒香味亦濃郁,以甜品而言是有水準的出品.

又一年的過去,祝壽星女順利大學畢業,食極都唔肥~~~哈哈!

p.s : 服務一欄真的要給低分,仕應全程黑面,十五人一人一杯都預左要斟水啦,但往往要叫幾次先會理你,實在令人失望.

-而隻鴿........我又以為會煎得過熟
-但1切落去時就知道估錯咗
-好嫩,好易切,不過只喺好剛剛熟,所以切落有點血水冒出,視覺有點美中不足
-現在每次食鴿,我都會諗起gaddx'x煮鴿嘅先slow cook做法,的確令味道同視覺都perfect
-我欣賞廚師煮呢度菜時嘅好西式煮法,無遷就到香港人嘅喜好.........如果廚子喺中國人真喺要同佢say hi~~~
-不過味道唔多夠味,個飯又多,所以變得比較寡...........未能清得晒

樓友訂了此餐廳為小妹慶生, 實在感激, 在此謝過~我們訂了7pm, 一行6人。環顧四周, 餐廳並不細, 但只得3, 4 張枱, 到我們離開時, 9:30已只得我們一張枱, 有點冷清。唔o係open rice找都不會識來。但侍應服務周到, 不時換碟。食物方面, 也不錯, 最impressed就係侍應問我地要唔要芝士粉後, 佢真係拿一大磚芝士在我們面前磨碎, 好有誠意呀~ 我們先點了些前菜同juice, 吞拿魚他他及 粟米"糊仔"+豬面青。個吞拿魚他他好好味, 本人都幾鍾意魚生, 而呢個仲加了少許芒果"吊"味, 整體感覺好referesing~ 但係個粟米"糊仔"就有d騎... 好似食緊無味的粒粒麥皮咁... 感覺好早餐... 唔係好得wor 其他食物都ok~ 我地仲叫左個 意大利辣肉腸蘑菇pizza, 個批底做得幾薄幾脆, 但唔燶~ good! 之後叫左個 意大利雲吞stuffed with牛膝肉, 其實個味道係ok既, 不過好少食d咁大粒的rivioli, 佢個size同平時的水餃差不多, 本人麻麻地食水餃, 所以呢粒野拿唔到高分 同埋平時有好多汁 or/ 湯浸住架嘛, 佢而家係

大利辣肉腸蘑菇pizza, 個批底做得幾薄幾脆, 但唔燶~ good! 之後叫左個
意大利雲吞stuffed with牛膝肉, 其實個味道係ok既, 不過好少食d咁大粒的rivioli, 佢個size同平時的水餃差不多, 本人麻麻地食水餃, 所以呢粒野拿唔到高分
同埋平時有好多汁 or/ 湯浸住架嘛, 佢而家係得一兩滴汁...

另外仲叫了個
鴨胸肉碎意粉 (忘記了影相), 都ok, 我唔太好鴨胸, 因為怕佢d "so"味, 但呢個ok喎, 唔講仲以為係普通豬肉碎! 最後有
香煎鱸魚and
香煎牛柳。2個都好味, 牛柳好淋, 唔"un", 仲有d菠菜伴碟。鱸魚都ok, 最鍾意佢個燒過的蕃茄仔, 好甜~

最後再叫多3個甜品:
panna cotta sabayontiramisu。3個都好味, 個sabayon好似mango napoleon, 都幾脆, 而panna cotta 作為布甸就略為實左d, tiramisu 正常。廚師細心地將3個甜品放在同一碟上, 再以朱古力寫happy birthday + 支蠟燭, 好有心思~! thank you my friends

18-9-2010收工到灣仔食 lunch, 想去的 Le Mieux Bistro full 咗, 兜兜轉轉嚟到路過 N 次又講咗 N 世話要試, 但從未嚟過的呢間意大利餐廳. 叫了兩份 set lunch share 食, 不過唔知係我哋叫錯嘢還是點, 整體係覺得麻麻哋好食:-Table bread 勁大籃, 另奉上 tomato paste, vinegar 及 pesto 牛油... grissini 脆口鬆化; 而賣相如「牆紙」的扁撻撻 crispbread (?) 就帶淡淡的 sundried tomato 味; grissini 就乾乾的, 唔鬆唔軟, 反而帶點彈口 旁邊 sauce 只有軟身 pesto butter 較可取, 雖然 pesto 味淡淡的; 其餘兩款質地杰撻撻, vinegar 直程有「蠔油」feel Tomato paste 味道就太「濃縮」了, 蕃茄還是新鮮的啱口味.Starter #1 Romaine lettuce with crispy pancetta: 羅馬生菜搣至細細塊, pancetta 亦極脆口鹹香, 連 cherry

收工到灣仔食 lunch, 想去的 Le Mieux Bistro full 咗, 兜兜轉轉嚟到路過 N 次又講咗 N 世話要試, 但從未嚟過的呢間意大利餐廳. 叫了兩份 set lunch share 食, 不過唔知係我哋叫錯嘢還是點, 整體係覺得麻麻哋好食:-

Table bread 勁大籃, 另奉上 tomato paste, vinegar 及 pesto 牛油... grissini 脆口鬆化; 而賣相如「牆紙」的扁撻撻 crispbread (?) 就帶淡淡的 sundried tomato 味; grissini 就乾乾的, 唔鬆唔軟, 反而帶點彈口
旁邊 sauce 只有軟身 pesto butter 較可取, 雖然 pesto 味淡淡的; 其餘兩款質地杰撻撻, vinegar 直程有「蠔油」feel
Tomato paste 味道就太「濃縮」了, 蕃茄還是新鮮的啱口味.

Starter #1 Romaine lettuce with crispy pancetta: 羅馬生菜搣至細細塊, pancetta 亦極脆口鹹香, 連 cherry tomatoes 都係甜的
, 不過奶白色的 dressing 太酸嗆了, 食到打冷震.


Starter #2 Shrimps with garlic: 勁 tapas feel
, 蝦肉新鮮爽脆, 蒜香強勁, 蒜片則粉粉的又帶少少甜味, 幾好食, 不過整體味道有點「中式」feel,「蒜片炒蝦球」?
Cherry tomatoes 同 salad 的一樣清甜; 墊底有塊 toast, 濕溼溼又唔脆, 不過索滿蒜蓉牛油汁, 味道還不錯的.

主食 #1 Pizza with porcini mushrooms: crust 薄得似 water biscuit, 夠挺夠鬆脆, 亦帶麵粉香; tomato sauce 正正常常, 但芝士味淡又唔 stringy, 牛肝菌則有點太「水」, 菇香亦一般, 餡料就較失色了.

主食 #2 Fillet of sole with lemon butter sauce: 煎得幾香, 不過食落有點嚡, 調味亦太重手了, 好鹹喎
Lemon butter sauce 味道則唔多 lemon 又唔 butter, 感覺可有可無; poached 薯仔做成鵝蛋形, 食落軟熟無渣, 但鹹得過份, 唔識欣賞. 幾唔喜歡呢碟魚, 早知食 pasta 就算.


是日唔飲得咖啡, 餐後只可飲奶茶, 真掃興...

食物唔太滿意, 不過環境及配套就幾好的, 係冷氣比較大


連加一埋單每人約 $130, 一試無妨, 不過我就無乜興趣再來食 lunch 了.

前年在九龍城泰式燒王,上年UCC+Steakhouse心太軟,今年替友人素素慶祝生日之地點,在灣仔皇后大道東的"La Baita".事前聽聞過此店的一點背景,老闆是澳洲人,本來是賣餐酒,後來開設一間賣北部意大利菜的餐廳.無論東南西北,籠統一點說,還是意大利菜.除非你真的很喜歡吃,對飲食知識有無盡的渴求,否則就不必去深究.餐廳間格是前吧後廳,一入門口全是高座高檯,給客人喝兩杯,而內裏則是進餐區.環境闊落,是夜我們一共十五人,店方安排我們坐在底下的房內,此房可供四十人開派對.好了,菜式方面,事前曾想過,不如同之前一大班人吃西餐一樣,吃得casual一點,叫幾個頭盤,主菜兜亂吃.但今次有十五人,人多手腳亂,不如直接吃個套餐算.經過與店方相討之後,是晚的陣式,是一個四道菜晚餐.頭盤,意粉,主菜,甜品.除甜品之外,其他部份二揀一.在選菜方面,盡量照顧在座朋友的需要.既然老闆賣開酒,餐廳的藏酒量,不能說不豐富.但在座大多人,也不好杯中物.如果自行帶酒來,每支收$198開瓶費.假若自行帶酒來,而又會在餐廳點餐酒,或許會免卻開瓶費,其他大多餐廳/菜館,也是如此.北部天氣比較冷,好些菜式偏向"重口味".

北部天氣比較冷,好些菜式偏向"重口味".頭盤Polentina condita,中文名為軟粟米糕伴煙芝士,炒豬臉肉.煙芝士的煙味頗為明顯,粟米糕感覺好像吃著糊仔,而本身的味道亦不算突出,但伴著味道偏鹹的豬臉肉,兩者著實產生一種微妙的平衡.另一道頭盤是Baby Squid with spicy tomato sauce.BB魷魚份量多,肉質鮮爽,用到微辣的番茄醬,胃口自然大開.

La Baita其中一樣主力,是自製各式意大利麵條,是夜二道有自製麵團配車厘茄和Mozzarella,和店內其中一道名物 - Bigoli al torchio con ragu d'anatra,即是會鴨肉配自製粗麵.不過麵團做得很稔,沒有彈性,了無生氣.用車厘茄加Mozzarella芝士做出來的醬汁,味道亦較清淡.鴨肉粗麵的鴨肉,味道很像肉醬意粉,但麵條煙齦,有彈性,入口更感覺滑溜.好像這個性較強的醬汁,配著此自製粗麵,深慶得人.

主菜是魚同肉,Tonno in crosta d'erbe cpn riduzione balsamica elamponi,香草燒吞拿魚紅莓黑醋汁,吞拿魚外層鋪滿香草,有如石上的青苔.可惜香草味太強,魚味欠奉,而且肉質比較粗,做得有點過熟,與月前在Barolo吃過的半生熟吞拿魚,水準差一截.另一道主菜是Petto d'anatra al miele a pepe nero fagiolini epolenta bianca arrostita,正名為蜜糖黑椒鴨胸伴法邊豆,烤粟米糕.一碟大約有十片鴨胸,份量比想像中多.鴨胸燒得肉質嫣紅,入口柔軟,帶有燒過的蜜糖香味.鴨皮連著一點肥膏,愛此道者一定喜歡.鴨胸下的粟米糕,有別頭盤的糊仔感覺,今趟就真的像一舊糕.咬落軟糯,連同鴨胸一同吃,又是用來中和濃味之作用.

與其帶蛋糕來,不如就地取材,反正吃意大利菜,一定有甜品.事前吩呼將十五個Tiramisu,化為一大個,當生日蛋糕.而且更可寫上名字.當蛋糕一上,大家唱生日歌,主人家許個願,吹一吹蠟燭,又一年了,上年洲際心太軟一役,就好像昨天的事情.

而這個提拉米蘇生日蛋糕,水準出奇地不錯,咖啡同酒香誰也不搶誰的鏡,兩者味道平衡.糕身濕潤又鬆化,果然不錯.

In quite different way, it was quite likable perfect to smoothen and open your appetite. As for pasta, Bigoli with duck ragout, so soft minced rich flavour yet delicate aroma or duck!!


I can come back for this one! And the manager recommended wine to go with our pasta and mail Pinot Nero was perfect for hot humid summer evening. Very silket texture and balanced

Wine selection was good, and the male manager was ok; then comes the female Chinese waitress, trying very hard to speak in English, but insist using English even when we asked if she doesn't speak Cantonese.

Food was ok but not supre, however the service was below standard, they have no idea who is having what for every single course, though food quality is ok, it is hardly enjoyable!

I used to work for F&B and believe it is only fair to settle a meal with reasonable tips, but this one, I didn't bother.

Never again!

我自己好少食午餐食得咁豪,不過老細請就冇所謂,嘻,可以寫D高級餐廳的食評。間鋪都幾高貴,感覺舒服。Order 了粗麵配燴鴨肉,聽講佢地D意大利粉係自家製,好似比一D意大利粉粗,入口軟身,麵條幾煙韌,口感不錯。免治鴨肉,紅酒雜菜鴨汁,味道好濃!因為同老細食午餐,不便拍照,下次,如果有機會,一定再去。

La Baita is opened by the Italian Owner of a small Italian Wine Shop just around the corner from here, a shop where I have bought some wines before even La Baita opened... upon hearing news that La Baita has employed Executive Chef Francesco Bettoli to cook Northern Italian cuisine, and often seeing this shop riding on Bus #10, I was so keen to give it a try.... PLOZNER: (Ter Pinot Nero & Refosco IGT, from Friuli Venezia Giula region) -
I'll be damned to know or remember Italian wines or grape varieties, why can't they just have simpler jargons and names compared to say France! I give up. Anyway this was ok-good for a Pinot Nero-Refosco, slightly forward fruit driven for what is predominantly pinot noir grape..... can't remember much now.

Malgra: (Arneis Bassiano, from Piemonte) -
A white wine of mostly Arneis, meaning a 'little rascal' of a wine with a dryish yet slightly ripe fruit finish and carrying a body nearly close to sweeter wines, now this is refreshing for Spring ! My type of Italian white wine, and very floral or pollen like.

Chips and Nuts -
They're pretty good. The chips are the higher quality baked ones, the nuts weren't too sugary like those served in many Hong Kongnised Western pubs - which doesn't bode well with drinks like wine.

I’m a super fan of Italian food & so my friends picked this restaurant for my birthday celebration.It was a Sunday evening but the restaurant was not so crowd.The environment was warm & comfy. It’s a good place for lovers.We started our dinner with a sip of Prosecco, followed by:-Bread basket, complemented with garlic butter, aceto balsamic and tomato puree > the aceto balsamic is fantastic. I’m a super fan of Italian food & so my friends picked this restaurant for my birthday celebration.

It was a Sunday evening but the restaurant was not so crowd.

The environment was warm & comfy. It’s a good place for lovers.

We started our dinner with a sip of Prosecco, followed by:-

Bread basket, complemented with garlic butter, aceto balsamic and tomato puree > the aceto balsamic is fantastic. I wished I can eat more but I need to reserve some room for the coming dishes.

Soft polenta with smoked ricotta cheese and sautéed pork cheek > I don’t like the polenta. It’s too soft & tasteless. The sautéed pork cheek is just so so, a bit oily.

Homemadeink tagliolini with shrimps, scallops and zucchinis > Pasta was very al dente. The seafood was fresh but a bit overcooked.

Handmade bigoli with duck ragout > this dish was outstanding! The texture of the pasta was just right and the duck was extremely delicious.

Since we were all too full so we’ve skipped the dessert. To enjoy a taste of sweetness, we had the Limoncello to finish with.

The Salad,Spaghetti and coffee do not even worth that price! I had much better better western food at this price for lunch...


The only good mark is the deco and the attentive service.

This restaurant was recommended by my friend who has been.
When I first set foot into the restaurant, the environment and setting was impressive.

First of all, they asked us if we wanted still or sparkling, 3 of us wanted still, and they actually opened 3 bottles of still water! Seriously, this is the first restaurant that would ever do that, other restaurants would open 1 at a time until it was all served- didn't really appreciate that.

Secondly, they served us a bread basket, but the bread were obviously NOT FRESH because they were very soggy.


As for the food:
We ordered a mozarella wrapped in parma ham- which I must admit was good.
We also ordered their signature pizza to share- but we all thought the crust/dough was wayyy too thin and not crispy at all.

As for the mains, we ordered a pasta each. I tried their monthly special- lobster ravioli- but it was basically barely warm, tasteless and there were only 5 pieces for $168- definitely not worth it.

In fact the portions for all the pastas were very small- my male friend wasn't even close to being full.

As for the price, it came up to $280 each. I would think the water was the most expensive, $40/500ml. There IS actually tap water that we didn't know of, so to save up, you could order tap instead, they just don't offer it.

In general, the service was also very unprofessional- they don't know anything about the food in the menu and they weren't very helpful or friendly either.


Basically I would never go again, nor would I recommend anyone to go.
