Haven’t had fine dining in a long time and I’m glad to say I really enjoyed the dishes at L’amour!!!First off - ordered the magners cider. Very easy to drink and served in a nice branded glass. The highlight was definitely the sea urchin + caviar + oyster combo. Though at a pricier end at $688 for 6, the sweetness from the sea urchin, saltiness from caviar and freshness from the oysters just complemented each other so well. I wanted to try the sea urchin toast as well and the portion of sea urch

I wanted to try the sea urchin toast as well and the portion of sea urchin was pretty generous. Was surprised that the toast had a crunch, yet was soft on the inside.
The homemade crab cake also didn’t disappoint. I actually really liked the lemon cream sauce that they had, alongside the salmon roe that just adds a great texture and a burst of saltiness to this dish.
I was also very surprised with the scallop pearl barley - so so good. I never knew barley could be cooked in a way like risotto. It was so chewy that made me keep wanting more!! The seared scallop was also cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of sear.
And what a perfect ending to the meal with a 心太軟 - have not had this in so long and I think I’m a fan now 😍 it’s hard to bake such nice chocolate fondant where it doesn’t taste too cakey, yet the filling literally drools out as you dig into it.
Despite this being a tasting, I will gladly return 🫶
