Service:Funny enough the waitresses dress like nurses, and I am damn sure that those shoes are what nurses wear. They act like robots, and when walking us through the menu, I simply could not hear a word she said and she said it so "robotly" with no facial expression at all.The chefs dressed like chefs, but with a huge gold medal hung round their necks. Steak:
They serve roasted beef not grilled beef so I was quite disappointed. I personally like grilled steak which is cooked and slighly burnt on the outside but tender in the inside. Unfortunately they only serve roasted steak - those that are roasted as a huge loaf like kebab, and are sliced to thin pieces when served. The taste is not bad but certainly not my cup of tea.
Side Dishes:
Cream corn and cream spinach are so oily and filling that you can only afford a spoonful of each. The salad is served with thousand island sauce which I think does not really match with green salad.
It's nice to have tried but frankly I am not going in there for the second time.

好早前與SISTER去食DINNER, 佢既牛扒吾係由WAITER由廚房放上, 而係由扒餐車直接切落黎, 再加上CREAM SPINACH, SMASH POTATO 同YORKSHIRE PUDDING! 簡直人間美味! 仲有YOUKSHIRE PUDDING香港好少有得食架, 肉汁+YORKSHIRE PUDDING完全係絕配! 如果有CELEBRATION, 不妨去LAWRY'S!

bf同我慶祝生日, 選了這間餐廳......但各方面都令我們不滿意...1) environment: 我知佢地嘗試跟足美國的setting, 係真係好spacious, 不過冇privacy, 因為食飯係望到成個廳的食客, 好唔romantic.2) service: serve我那位waitress叫carman, 基本上, 佢唔係一個waitress, 而係一個sales, 當我們order了百多元一杯的cocktails後, 又勁pushy的叫我們order wine, 再勁pushy的推介兩支over 二千蚊的紅酒! 講真, 以他們的食物質素, 配千幾蚊的紅酒, 實在浪費了! 3) food:
i. bread: 同delifrance的法包差不多質素. 牛油係獨立包裝的極普通牛油.
ii. 龍蝦湯: 好飲, 全晚做得最好的dish.
iii. prawn cocktail: 同bb bistro lunch set 的appetizer一樣質素, 不過人地lunch menu係$68 - $98 的5-courses set lunch, 而lawry呢個dish就淨收$98.
iv. spinning salad: 得個綽頭, d 菜唔係用romaine lettuce, 總之唔係用靚既菜.....冇特別.
v. prime rib: 牛肉好諗, 好似食牛腩咁, 不過, 唔點sauce係冇味既...如果佢地用靚既牛扒, 應該唔點sauce都會有味....好失望.....

o個日係我生日, 但係乜offer都冇, 埋單over $1300, 好唔抵, 咁既價錢响九龍酒店的pizzeria會食得好好多, 仲會有好十倍的service及更romantic的氣氛

環境只是一般般, 最欣賞是洗手間的乾淨。

沙律中有頭髮, 當我們向侍應反映, 她很有禮貌地say sorry, 及幫我們弄過新的。不過她們一開始對牛扒的介紹太讀稿, 我朋友就聽唔明佢up乜喇。仲有, 原來果幾pat青豆粟米菠菜是要$45/pat的, 好貴好貴好唔值! 初時侍應沒表明要收錢, 仲有甜品本來她說是"送"俾我們吃的, 但點知原來係要收錢。雖然我唔了解清楚都唔怪得曬人, 不過那機械人式講解, 跟酒店質數差距一條街(可惜價錢又唔係差好多!)。

俾得千幾蚊, 大把更好選擇。

I had fairly high expectations for this place, as I read a little about its history and love prime rib, so I was quite looking forward to having a nice Sunday dinner with my family there. I made a booking on Friday morning, and I received a re-confirmation call from them on Sunday morning at 10am, 10 AM?! Isn't that a little early?

I arrived early and was lead to our table, which was way too small. Seeing that there were plenty of tables around I requested for a different table and was told that it's a busy night and another table was not available (or that they would switch us to another table when another table leaves?!). A manager-type person offered us another table but the size was pretty much the same (to be fair he forewarned us about it) so we stayed at the original table. We were given our menus and were only told of the seafood of the day, and not at all about the rib sizes (which we only overheard from the next table, which was given a full description of every choice, and were informed that there was soup available, which was not on the menu, and was given wine recommendations).

First came their "famous" spinning bowl salad. It might be famous, but for someone who does not like Thousand Island dressing, it was more "infamous" (come to think of it, I'm very glad that the server dropped some of it on the floor- it meant one less forkful to eat- trouble is, I don't think they ever picked it back up....). Though we were given their "special" iced forks for the salads, why did they make us re-use our knives? Normally you use one set of fork and knife for your appetizer, then another set for the main course, but the waitress specifically made us pick up the knives we used for our salads and save it for our mains; is washing an extra set of knives going to ruin their profit and loss statement? When the ribs arrived, the texture was satisfactory (a bit too much fat in the middle, but uncontrollable I suppose), the main problem was that there was not much beef flavour it is, it was as if they were serving Australia beef.....I was offered some salmon by my wife, but I didn't even bother as the colour was not very inviting, and judging by the texture, it was quite overcooked (my suspicion was confirmed by my wife). We tried three different desserts (warm cheese cake/chocolate cake/New York cheese cake) and though they were not bad, they were not good either, and I suppose, aside from the San Pallegrino water (which only came in one size, which was way too small), was the most bearable part of the meal.

Barring any special circumstances (e.g. friends' birthdays/celebrations), I would not expect to return to this place, as it was a complete waste of my time, and most importantly, my stomach space.

We went to celebrate our first Valentine's Day in Lawry's The Prime Rib Hong Kong. My boyfriend tried Lawry's in the US before and he loves it very much. He knew from his friend that Lawry's has its first restaurant in CWB, so we gonna to try. We went to celebrate our first Valentine's Day in Lawry's The Prime Rib Hong Kong. My boyfriend tried Lawry's in the US before and he loves it very much. He knew from his friend that Lawry's has its first restaurant in CWB, so we gonna to try.

We reserved a table for two on the Valentine's Day few weeks ago, but we need to pay HKD500 for deposit in advance. The restaurant is fully booked and no walk in is allowed (we saw two people asking for seats but rejected yesterday).

We arrived the restaurant around 9:10 PM to see if we can get a table earlier (we have booked 9:30 PM). But unfortunately, all tables are reserved. And we finally get our table sharply at 9:30.

We\'ve got a good table with a big comfortable sofa.
The waitress dressed very traditional and look like a nurse.
The environment is excellent and quiet
Girls get a rose and a set of cosmetic tester at the end of the meal.
And for the food,
Drinks--
"My Valentine" and "heart to Heart": both of them are great!

Appetizer--
"Crabmeat Au Gratin": many crab meat inside with cheese, we both love it very very much
"Spinning Bowl Salad": the waitress spinning the big salad bowl in front of us, and serve with an iced fork, excellent!

Main course--
"The Lawry cut prime rib (10 oz), Altantic Lobster tail, mash potato & gravy, cream corn, Yorkshire pudding": We have medium rare prime rib, really juicy and good. And he loves the cream corn very much also. For the lobster, cause we are too full, and we take it away. And the Yorkshire pudding just so so (may be we are too full already).

Desert--
I have a "Warm Chocolate Fantasy Cake", I love desert very much and I found it excellent, although I am very full, but I can finish all.
He has "English Triffle", also good.

Overall, we both strongly recommend Lawry's. An excellent restaurant with excellent food and services; with a quiet romantic environment. And he emphasis that the price is not expensive for such standard!!!!!

One more thing, the iced water is free to provide if you request. As we afraid they will charge us like HKD50 for a cup of water!


We will definitely go there again in the future on and special days!

夜晚想食牛, 諗起這間新開的扒房, 所以走上去碰碰運氣, 沒有想像中多人立即有位, 裝潢不錯, 感覺很舒服.主菜要了prime rib及sea bass. Prime rib五成熟, 雖然juicy, 但以那個價錢, 肉質及肉味只有一般, 沒有想像中好, 那個汁也沒有特別, 有點失望......反而個250蚊的sea bass比我想像中好, 很滑也有魚味, 估不到雪藏魚都幾好味.看之前的comment說沒有免費水供應, 這個不是是實. 這兒有免費水供應, 還很主要跟你添加.總括來講, 沒有特別, 不會主動再來!

My Babe booked this place to celebrate my birthday.It was a cool restaurant famous for its prime ribs. I love its romatic environment, hoof-shaped seats and great food. My Babe booked this place to celebrate my birthday.

It was a cool restaurant famous for its prime ribs. I love its romatic environment, hoof-shaped seats and great food.

We had two nice drinks, fresh spinning salad, prime ribs in California cut with mash potato and sweet cream corn and a sweet Christmas pudding as my birthday cake.

Last Friday I tried to book a table for 2 for dinner at 6:30pm that night. To my surprise, they've got a table. But anyway, nearly all tables were occupied when I was dining. Last Friday I tried to book a table for 2 for dinner at 6:30pm that night. To my surprise, they've got a table. But anyway, nearly all tables were occupied when I was dining.
I got few impressions after I finished my dinner there.
1. They served the food real fast. Is that the way American do things? Or is it just HK? I haven't had the chance to go to the one in LA but I guess even other American restaurant in HK do not serve food as fast as they do. Bascially, my wife and I finished our dinner within 1 hour. And that include the salad, the main course with 2 side dishes and 1 dessert. Usually, I could enjoy 2 glasses of wine at dinner but this time, I still got a bit left in my first glass when I start eating my dessert.
2. The prime rib is quite good. Juicy and tender. I just had the English cut (8 oz?). 3 thin cuts. Probably one of the best you could find in town. The sauce they provided was also nice. Not too strong which ruin the taste of the meat.
3. The dessert is so and so. I tried the chocolate cake. Very traditional american one. That means sweet and BIG. Unless you are a big fan of dessert, sharing one with your friend is not a bad idea.
4. Not too many choices if you or your friend is not a meat lover. My wife had the fish. It tasted OK But I guess you could not expect much. But the first glance of the menu gave me a headache. Probably it's beacause I don't have many options especially for the starters.
In conclusion, if you are a one in pure pursuit of prime rib, this place won't disappoint you. But if you want to try something other than prime rib, you need to think twice before you go.
BTW, I could even go to the movie at 9:30pm that night.

i ordered the lawry's cute medium rare and it was delicious! the yorkshire pie wasn't as good as i excepted. the salad is nice and fresh and i like the way that they served it with a cold fork. i personally like salad that are cold and i really appreciate lawry's taking care of that. again, the prime rib is marvelous and is definitely worth gong back. Dessert - the 5 of us ordered almost all of the desert to try and most of them a pretty up to standard except my chcolate pie which i think i

Dessert - the 5 of us ordered almost all of the desert to try and most of them a pretty up to standard except my chcolate pie which i think is so so. i would definitely vote for the chocoalate cake and cheese cake but they are definitely quite heavy.

Service - excellent service!!!! their uniforms reminded me of a waitress in japanese cartoon.

Service 唔錯, 有位似法國人既waiter十分樂意解答薑餅人既疑問.

$1000一位,比平日貴約四成,New Year’s Eve外出吃飯真係超唔抵。另一不滿位係啲cheap cheap聖誕裝飾,拖垮了Lawrys平日的高尚英倫feel。
