We live near the restaurant and thus would like to give it a try. Brunch deal appears attractive at $198 + free flow of prosecco. We live near the restaurant and thus would like to give it a try. Brunch deal appears attractive at $198 + free flow of prosecco. The antipasti buffet table is set on a small bar table with limited choices and of average quality. Add-on pasta was delicious.

However, the problem slowly appeared as we noticed the discriminated service. The staffs were spot on to refill the prosecco of other tables and for international customers that look like the regulars, while often ours and almost each time we had to signal a top up. After several times we saw the staff again not refilling ours we asked and they simply replied it passed the last call. Of course no one told us that when we first sat down nor reminded us when time was near. The worst part was that they later refilled another table and explained they paid by bottles which felt was a lie as that table paid already and we saw earlier the staff used the same bottle to refill other tables.

For some Panevino maybe a place of warm service if you are a regular or foreigner, but given the poor and discriminated service quality, please don't bother.

This was sort of a first time for me to go to one of these expensive fancy Italian restaurants in Hong Kong. I had been told that it used to be a busy little restaurant, but over the years it's popularity largely decreased. Service was very good as we were the first customers that night and the waitresses were not occupied.

We were a table of 7, but we tried to order less as the dishes were quite expensive. For starters, we got some bruschetta, which was complimentary. Then, we ordered a special that the waitress introduced to us, which was like a big deep fried cheese ball served with a spicy tomato salsa. The cheese wasn't completely melted but it was nice and gooey inside. For mains, we had a Squid Ink Risotto, a Penne Carbonara, the Risotto Margherita and a Seafood Spaghetti. Portions were a bit small at the first look but we were all quite full at the end of the meal. Lastly for dessert, we tried the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Icecream and the Tiramisu. The strudel was quite nice although I would have preferred it to be in a different shape to get even bites of apple to pastry.

Overall, the food and service was quite good but you have to be prepared to pay for the small dishes. Throughout the night, there were only 3 tables seated, with around 15 customers in total, so the atmosphere can be a little awkward. However, I would say that the food wasn't exceptional although they are charging like Italian restaurants, which is something I think could be improved on. For an average person, the food isn't bad but someone with higher standards should probably look for something else.

The deco, with the bottle of Chianti with a lonely candle in it brings us back to the70’, and adds to the rather cold and unappealing / welcoming place. Even more so, the fact that we were on 2.
We decided to go for the “buffet”, with ¾ of the food obviously coming from the tins.
The cold cuts must have stayed there for a certain time as the mortadella’s rim was already brown and dry.
The marinated things were just not edible.
The main, we went for pesto penne…..the smell of the fridge was a serious put off, the pasta was seriously overcooked (with nobody in the restaurant why the pasta cannot be cooked in the last minute?????) the pesto, more pasty and pesto perhaps was homemade, but it was old, tasted of old parsley and mint rather than fresh basil and olive oil.
I knew that eating it would be doing no good to my body, I had a few and I was right as a few hours later, I started to feel unwell.
All I could say is, it’s sad, and without dramatic changes I guess their mid-level outlet will meet the same fate as their short lived Tai Hang.
It’s not too late, get a proper Italian chef, stop the buffet, change the look and modernize it, shorten the menu, stop thinking that Italian always eat Bolognese and Carbonara, have a cheese and cold cut cellar of quality, …..Otherwise I afraid it won’t last much longer.
Until then, not only I would never come back but make also sure to tell my good friend not to go neither.
Looking forward for the new Panevino.

風和日麗的中午,smart bunny相約友人共進午餐,選了半山區的Panevino, 真是沒選錯。先說環境,是歐洲小店式的格局,令smart bunny 有點錯覺像到了意國來個午餐呢。先來一客熱騰騰麵包,再來一客十分美味的蘑菇湯,加上友人共聚,真是超享受。值得一贊的是sole fillet, 平時smart bunny 不愛吃的,很多地方弄得淋淋的怪難吃,但Panevino 處理得很出色,外脆內軟,味道濃,但我喜歡。甜品 home-made profiteroles 則有點失色,賣相很美,但味道一般。整體不錯,smart bunny 會再來。

外籍waitress很有禮貌, 還耐心介紹wine list, 其中更推薦這支DREOLINO Chianti 2010紅酒, 她詳細介紹這盛產於意大利中部其中一個酒莊DREOLINO, 這一帶既酒莊知名度好比法國既Bordeaux.  這枝酒既包裝還特別地用了籃子包裝, 而餐廳更有創意地用這籃子加上蠟燭造成燭台放在餐枱裝飾.

題外話/補充資料: 我們好enjoy這裏既環境, 食物質素及服務. 唯一是washroom既設計男廁格及女廁格都在同一washroom內太近距離了, 感覺有些尷尬.

蠟燭台並不是只插有一支蠟燭而已,它的四邊更積存了過往溶掉而乾涸後的蠟,出來的效果有夠震撼呢﹗估不到剩餘物也能成為擺設的一部份,不禁佩服店主的心思。

原來餐廳在午市是做半自助午餐,以$188可享有自助沙律,而主菜﹑湯品及飲品就要另外加錢。我參觀過沙律吧,是貴精不貴多的模式,但這陣容都已經令人口水流的啦。

全場有兩位外藉女店員,由於她們是不太懂廣東話的,所以全程我們都是用英語來和她們溝通,幸好其中一位是聽得明白我所說的爛英語,我的心不禁安慰起來...XD

點餐後,店員先送上四小片麵包,分別有法包香草麵包,香草麵包有著陣陣香草的氣味,不過我更鐘意食法包,口感非常鬆軟,麵包夠香,貿感不會乾。附上的那碟黑醋,濃度及酸味都甚高,我怎會不喜歡﹖

頭盤有兩款,兩個人就可以試齊了。Soup of the Day,今日是Mushroom soup,湯的熱度令菌香更覺突出,湯汁充滿著濃厚的蘑菇味,因為所用的蘑菇量真的多得很,質感綿滑,真的十分美味呀﹗

Antipasti Salad Selection,聽女店員的講解是廚師會將是日精選的前菜作為是日沙律。碟上放有雜椒炒蘑菇伴黑橄欖﹑水牛芝士蕃茄﹑吞拿魚釀車里茄﹑酸青辣椒﹑沙律菜﹑風乾火腿酸紫椰菜(正物不詳)。

全碟沙律都淋有橄欖油,令每樣食物都散發著陣陣油香。當中的兩樣對我來說很是新鮮,第一是酸青辣椒,明明是辣椒,不過竟然是酸到爆燈,而內裡的籽會帶少少苦。而紫色的東東,我覺得是椰菜,而友人覺得是洋蔥,所以我們都不知道吃了什麼 XD,味道都是酸酸的,非常之特別。

兩款頭盤都令我吃得津津有味,之後的驚喜更是更上一層樓﹗

我們正在從三款主菜選二出來的困局期間,女店員前來,主動提議我們選擇第一和第三款,還說是較為受歡迎的,我們就依照她的見議。

我很喜歡吃魚,這款Pan-seared Sole Fillet with Lemon,capers,Crispy Pancetta and Chunky Croutons就最合我心意了﹗龍脷柳又大又厚,煎到金黃得很,灑了少少鹽巴和黑胡椒,配以多汁又軟滑的魚肉,真的好吃到我停不了口﹗

配汁方面有檸檬汁加橄欖油,檸檬和魚在大部份的時候都是很匹配的,而配料有大量火箭菜,新鮮貨色,不會吃到成口苦澀味。另外有脆麵包粒﹑煙肉粒及我第一次遇見的酸豆,這酸度連我吃得酸的人都覺得好鬼酸,不過配襯魚肉又真的是好夾的哦。

另一樣是Handmade Riccia Pasta with Chicken,Wild Forest Mushrooms,Artichoke Fricassee,就似白汁燴麵之類,不過事後在網上查看過Fricassee的意思是白酒奶油燉雞或炖肉。

奶油汁醬帶著香甜,當中還有不少香草,增添芳香,而女店員額外在麵條上加了少少黑椒碎及芝士粉,令味道有所提昇,而汁醬份量剛好包含了每一條麵條和每一件配料,沒多沒少。

麵條是店家自製的,彎彎曲曲,就如文字上形容的"鹿角",我第一次接觸這款麵,覺得它都幾可愛丫。質感柔軟之餘亦帶韌度,麵當中夾雜了雞肉及蘑菇,量多到不得了,吃到我好滿足呢。

甜品款式就簡簡單單。Homemade Profiteroles Stuffed with Chocolate Mascarpone Cream,是泡芙釀了朱古力慕絲,碟面有大量朱古力醬,令喜歡吃朱古力的我真的開心都不行﹗泡芙質感鬆鬆的,本身沒什麼味道,主要靠朱古力的慕絲及醬。事後上網查看才知道原來泡芙是一種源自意大利的小食呢﹗

兩位女店員的服務及態度都是相當好,我們食完一款菜,便會前來收碟,之後下一道菜才會奉上,而不會將食物迫到一枱都是。由於午餐不包括飲品,她們都有問我們幾次要不要點飲品﹖我們每次都答不需要,她們也會定時將我們面前的水杯斟滿水,而不會因為我們不點飲品而不理會我們。

在進餐過程,女店員有幾次前來問客人對於食物的意見,到稍後的時間,連老闆娘都有來問大家的意見。她們每次聽完意見後,每次都會說"enjoy!"﹑"enjoy your lunch!",看到她們的笑容,從中感到她們對食物及食客皆重視。

由麵包開始直到甜品,基本上每一道菜都要等20分鐘左右,所以在這裡食飯要有一點耐性。不過細心地去想,慢活其實是生活的其中一個良好態度,我應該從中學習及享受才是呢。

Overall the selection was ok, but some cheese would have been nice and some melon too to go with the cold cuts.

My favourite was the baked mushrooms, probably the first restaurant in HK I have come accross that serves this (the garlic mushroom served UK's Pizzahut).

The pastries were really good, they were flakey with a soft centre.
They taste like the ones from La Rose Noire bakery.

Took advantage of the Restaurant Week offer to come try this restaurant with my family.  First impressions were great, thanks to the friendly staff and the nice homely interior which reminded me of provencial Italy.    

The Restaurant Week menu offers a three-course lunch (without drinks) for $98+10%, which is great value!  

We were first served bread and butter/olive oil on the table.  I asked for balsmic vinegar and was served a little dish of think and dark vinegar.  It turned out to be really tasty and made me finish a few pieces of otherwise ordinary bread. 

For starter, it was a choice between soup of the day and antipasto mix.  I chose the antipasto mix which was a great selection of salad, vegetables and meat.  It looked and tasted fabulous!

There were 3 choices for main (spaghetti, risotto and chicken).  I had the spagetti with peperoni.  This was a simple dish done just the way I liked.  The spaghetti was chewy which blended well with the sauce which was light and a little spicy.

The RW menu did not come with coffee/ tea, so I ordered an extra cappuccino to go with the dessert.  It had more foam than the cappuccinos you get in other cafes which made it look great, but somehow I could not taste much of the coffee.  At $48 it is a bit overpriced?

There was 2 choices for dessert (profiteroles and millefoglie).  Our waiter recommended us to have a mixture of both for sharing.  The chococlate profiteroles were quickly finished amongst us as the bite size made it easy (and can be addictve!).  The millefoglie turned out to be a pleasant surprise - I don't usually like creamy desserts but the pastry tasted really good and I found it less sweet than the french version (mille-feuille).

Our waitress was attentive throughout our meal - always checked with us how we liked each dish and replenished our water frequently.  Will definitely come back in the future when I am in the area and crave some authentic Italian!

這店位處於一個稍為高的半山腳單邊位, 如果在下面一點的話肯定會很多客人幫襯,因為價位走中間路線, 而且食物以蔬菜為主導, 少量的油炸食物, 不少的冷盤, 麵包也做了3種, 餐後甜品/咖啡則須要另叫, 跟brunch的飲料可以是有汽白酒同汽水, 兩個人最一般的叫法將會是有汽白酒同汽水各一, 有汽白酒很容易入口帶微甜而且酒杯比一般的白酒杯細大概1/3, , 飲多了自己也不會太感覺到, 一轉眼(約45分鐘)已經感覺面有微熱發覺時其實都不知第幾杯了,雖說是兩個人share一杯, 但因為菲藉員工動作勤快密密斟, 飲多了眼皮重很正常,食物方面: 冷盤有一些凍肉片, 質地唔太差, 煙三文魚亦算OK, 意大利式燒椒類鮮甜配香醋,風味之選, 沙律雜菜都係新鮮貨色, 但沙律菜中有一種白色的苦艾菜, 平時好少攞因為太座嫌它有苦味, 今次攞咗少少試其實是菜葉才帶苦味但同蝦同吃又OK喎, 沙律汁就做了3種左右, 3種味道偏酸那類,凍蝦係肉爽彈牙那種, 意式煎蛋餅每一角上面放一條露筍尾, 一個黃色上面放一條深綠色煞是漂亮, 炸意大利飯團其實如果能夠在剛剛炸起時吃到會更好, 現在這樣無聲無式地讓它放那裡放涼有點可惜

拿破崙餅是以Filo皮重疊而成, 可以說是有點取巧, 內夾入一點忌廉/士多啤梨算是中規中矩, Tiramisu亦如是, 叫了一杯咖啡試試又未致無味自己覺得佢杯咖啡都OK呀, 由於在此吃了Brunch再另叫咖啡只收$40 (其實可以叫latte, capp.etc, 但自己通常頭一次來一般都只會叫普通咖啡, 如果連個啡底都做唔好叫其他花式野就更加”不知所謂”了)

準時到達,餐台已經準備好,check到我的名字便領我過去。一張小小的餐台,有三個座位可選,沒有示意我坐哪一個,而是說“這裡三個座位,看你選哪一個,我會把其他兩套餐具收起來。”一上來的服務就好親切,其實只是一句話而已,相信很多餐廳在這種情況下都是這麼處理,但能多說一句出口,給人的感覺似乎更好,感覺很體貼。

當日正值restaurant weekend延長一周,有set lunch,soup/salad, main course and dessert,餐單當日去了才知道,因為都是** of the day,看chef準備了什麽了。稍後口述了當日菜單給我,我選了mushroom soup,Saffron Risotto and Gelato。主菜還有homemade squid spaghetti,但聽到saffron很是期待,所以選了risotto。

下午還有安排,無法飲酒,要了一杯熱咖啡($48), illy質素都算有一定保證,但也不是特別出眾的精品咖啡,所以如果不是愛飲咖啡之人,完全可以skip。

Mushroom soup很棒!mushroom味很濃,可以長到星星點頂的蘑菇碎,我喜歡加一點fresh black pepper提味。最讓我鍾意的,是cream的分量剛好,既口感creamy,又不會過頭讓人覺得很膩,這隻是一餐額的開始,後面的主菜也離不開cream和cheese,如果太多味濃,味覺上會破壞後面main course品嘗。這個mushroom soup感覺是我在香港吃到最好的。

Saffron Risotto等了差不多半小時,應該是現點現煮。端上來,金黃色的risotto,立刻讓我想到buddy valastro有一集教怎麼讓risotto顏色如此漂亮,不知道是不是同一個方法呢?下次要自己下廚試一試。我是cheese lover,所以加了兩勺parmesan,當然還有少許black pepper。說回到這個risotto,沒有想像中那麼出色。雖然米粒顆顆飽滿,但似乎時間不夠,米粒比較硬,沒有到完全鬆軟,吸飽sauce的程度。回頭想想等了差不多半小時上桌,以我自己的經驗,通常要45分鐘達到最佳效果。此外,賣點saffron的味道很淡,用的是powder,不是一絲一絲,已經差一些,又或許分量太少,所以體現不出saffron應有的濃郁風味。但是考慮到saffron是非常昂貴的食材,這個set lunch不過98蚊,也就不能苛求了。但如果這碟飯是一百多兩百塊的正餐,真的不能收貨了。席間,我瞄到鄰桌的墨魚面,看著很是誘人,看來這次自己有點被貴價食材誤導了,但沒關係,都是難得的體驗。

Gelato我選了vanilla flavor with caramel sauce, 味道不錯。vanilla gelato新鮮純淨,不會太甜,正好給了caramel表現的機會。還有那幾片mint leaves,除了是裝飾,也是可吃的一部份喲。整片的葉子我嫌味道太沖,撕成小片加到gelato裏面就剛剛好,一來mint的清新味道正好平衡caramel的甜味,以及前面risotto的creamy,二來,mint本身的風味和vanila很搭配,也讓整個dessert更加豐富。

一餐完畢,感覺環境非常舒適愜意;食物雖不至於驚豔,但卻有一定水準;最出色的是服務,非常細緻入微,注重細節。除了一開始我提到的,在我點完coffee之後,主動問我需不需要一杯水,還詳細到hot water, cold water or normal temperature? 明顯很熟悉中外食客不同的習慣。最後我要了cold water with a little bit ice,所以在這裡大家可以毫無負擔的提出詳細的要求,相信都可以得到滿足。此外,一餐中我和多個侍應有接觸,每個都有求必應,他們的服務安排非常靈活,每個人都可以為你服務,不需要等到個人侍應有空才來招呼你。

這裡週末和假日游antipasto brunch, $198,有麵包,prosciutto, salmon, caprese and other salads,食物選擇雖然不多,一共不超過15種,但也算很意大利特色,質素也都不錯,有機會要來品嘗。

My wife was encountered by this woman whom turned out to be the OWNER!!. If you have been there, you know that the place is right on the side of a very busy road with lots of cars and buses driving by. Tonight is cold and windy. The lady refused to give my wife a table inside and insisted that we sit on the one row, which is right by the street. She claimed that the place was fully booked at 7pm, where my wife looked at the booking sheet with only four bookings. Later guests from an inside table left and the lady reluctantly let us sit there. Oh, by the way, the place is still only occupied by four groups of guests.

We ordered soup and a few pasta, they were all very salty and made us all very thirsty.

We left at 7:40pm, and the bar area was still empty and the dining area was still only occupied with 4 tables.

Owner, with your attitude and over-salty food, I really felt sorry for all your guests. I wish you good luck in the near future!!

Order 後,侍應給我們一小碟芝士。平日沒有吃芝士的習慣,也不敢對專業的芝士瞎猜,但這乾身的餐前芝士特別的討好,芝士味道香濃而不膩,略帶鹹味,質感是爽爽粉粉的,作為餐前小食,相當的吸引。走的時候看到門口擺放著被刮得空洞的球狀芝士正是它。

Panevino 是意大利語麵包與酒的拆解,意大利人對麵包與酒的鐘愛是毫無疑問。當晚送上各式麵包,有 Breadstick, Focaccia 及 Plain Bread 等,整體水準不凡,最愛 Breadstick 的香香脆脆的鹹香,還有盛上蕃茄粒的麵包,先是橄欖油與香草的濃香,最後底部帶些微辣,温和中活現出惹味。這小碟的麵包卻帶給我們意外驚喜!

光是芝士與麵包已吃得我滿意與半飽了。

Panevino 的 Antipasti 備有熱與冷的選擇,我們要了熱的 Fritto Misto。雞皮紙的小紙筒捲著帶子,魷魚、小魚塊及各式蔬菜,賣相新穎。無論炸物的手感或口感一樣的乾爽不油,與別不同、薄如輕紗的炸漿是技巧的其一重點,很喜歡這種輕巧不沉重的感覺。細查之下原來採用了意大利傳統牛油以輕炸的方式烹調。

各式海鮮中最能打動我的是小魚塊,肉質非常的滑溜細嫩,而且不像是雪藏貨,向侍應打聽下得知是 Sole Fish,不錯的選材。配襯上纖營的茄子、紅蘿蔔、南瓜、西芹等我的心頭好的蔬菜,根本感覺不像是在吃炸物似的。而 Aioli Sauce 一向與海鮮是絕配。

Garganelli alla Vodka con Salmone, Proscinetto e Mascarpone 是餐廰的 Signature Pasta,肯定要一試。使用了壓有直紋圓管狀的 Garganelli Pasta,口感略帶煙韌,當然比不上標榜自家製的餐廳,但也算不俗。Signature Pasta 擁有一陣獨特撩人的香氣,相信是其 Vodka Sauce 發揮的效果,且整體質感非常的順滑。不過隨之而來是一份難以忍受的鹹度。

剛想放棄之際,女經理過來打招呼,遂將情況告知。她解釋此菜選用了三文魚, 意大利的火腿及 Mascarpone 芝士,因此食味偏鹹,她堅持讓廚師重新烹煮一份給我們。

這份是重新烹調的,鹹味只是稍減一點,算不上是適中的水平,可是原有的香氣卻消失了,我們倒是懷念先前的鹹得有道理的一份。或許風格就是窂不可破的規則,破壞了就變得三不像了!

再來的是 Tagliolini allo Scoglio con Frutti di Mare Scampetti。這是南意的風格,配上小龍蝦、帶子、魷魚、魚塊等不同的海鮮與蜆及青口等貝殼類,豐盛得完全將麵條壓倒。

海鮮新鮮,青口與蜆非常的鮮甜,也有我喜歡的 Sole Fish,調配恰好蕃茄醬汁透出絲絲的香草幽香,加上炒煮過程的香氣混合出一番美味。唯一不太滿意的就是扁扁的意大利麵缺乏咬口,美中不足。

Panevino 亦有一個名為 T Classic 的 Pasta,經典的選擇當然少不了 Bolognese, Carbonara, Aglio Olio, Pomodoro 及 Alfredo,可自行選擇 Spaghetti, Linguine, Penne, Orichiette, Bucati, Garganelli 6種不同的 Pasta。

Celebrating my wife's birthday in Pane Vino restaurant. We can see plenty of seats and customers are walking in with no reservation. Staff is friendly and the environment is homely. Celebrating my wife's birthday in Pane Vino restaurant. We can see plenty of seats and customers are walking in with no reservation. Staff is friendly and the environment is homely. We ordered black ink rice, seafood pasta and ham spaghetti as main course and also cheese baked clams. The spaghetti is too salty😖. All dish size is smaller than our expectation 😰. The amount cannot be shared adequately for each of the family member. We also order tiramisu and cheese cake as dissert. Not that particular in the quality and equally small in size. 1 starter, 3 main courses, 2 dissert and 1 cup of coffee cost our family $1700!

與好友相聚,想食d特別的野,好友推薦了呢間餐廳,當時仲做緊restaurant week. 餐廳內大部分都是外國人,兩位女士立即熱情地帶我們入內,我們選了餐廳特地為Restaurant Week而設的套餐: Appetizer: 我選了Pasta Fagioli, 傳統的味道,有很多豆在裡面。友人選了Mozzarella Impanata con Insalata di Arugula, 看賣相很吸引,友人卻說一般。Pasta: 我們分享了Ravioll Neri al Fruitti Di Mare, 海鮮意大利餛飩配龍蝦汁,意大利餛飩皮中加入了墨魚汁,樣子做得好似一朵花o甘。也許我不太喜歡龍蝦汁的味道,這道菜並非我的所愛。另外一個pasta是Pennoni alla Toscana, 番茄汁香腸長通粉,這個比較好吃,香腸的味道特別濃郁,再看餐牌,是野豬肉做的香腸。Main Course: 我們兩個都選了魚,Pinenut crusted sole fillet, wide mushrooms, lemon dressing 魚本身非常新鮮,味道也鮮美,不過由於比較厚身,不夠滑,其

魚本身非常新鮮,味道也鮮美,不過由於比較厚身,不夠滑,其實sole fillet肉質也不是特別幼嫩, 也許用魚做主菜的話,我始終喜歡seabass

Salame Dolce, 很特別的做法,把朱古力做到好似一條香腸那樣,不過味道偏甜,可能因為實在太飽了,我平時雖極愛甜食,此時也戰鬥力不濟,食了少少已放棄。

席間我們還叫了Wine, 不過不太懂,所以不作評論。

店舖裝修幾有心思,加上店員都是外籍人士,尤如置身外國,唯嫌座位的編排比較擁擠了點,隔壁桌的說話聲不時傳來。店員招待不錯,不時過來問我們意見,客雖多,卻仍有些許賓至如歸的感覺。
