今日午餐時間都唔洗等位,應該因為係公眾假期。第一次嚟:食晚餐時散叫salad+pasta,印象OK,但睇埋個價錢,OK都係應該嘅。第二次嚟:淨食甜品,無咩印象。今日第三次嚟:食set lunch (3 courses)包:送嘅caesar salad:OK,淡左少少duck breast with greens:OK,意大利黑醋味濃chicken breast:OK,比想像嘅無咁"鞋",有菠菜貼住煎嘅部份比較有味sirloin steak:OK,網燒味比較重但可以接受下面堆薯蓉香得嚟唔太油,good!peach cake with ice-cream:麻麻地 (其實我對甜品無咩研究,可能唔中肯)總括嚟講set lunch嘅價錢,有呢個水準都幾好。因為佢都幾open,有隻小昆蟲陪我食晏,在所難免吧。致於服務,總係覺得怪怪......

我們被高且瘦、疑似高層的外籍男子安排坐於靠近戶外和戶內分界的正中兩人枱位置。室內左手邊有一道磚牆,數盞掛燈,淺色橫間沙發椅配上鋪上白枱布的方枱,予人高貴典雅之感。盡頭靠近右手邊則有一個酒櫃,擺滿琳琅滿目的酒瓶。

先來的是切得厚厚的意大利香草包,入口暖暖的,質感鬆軟,帶點果仁的嚼勁、香草的味道,口感,隨個人喜好配上黑醋及橄欖油同吃口味更佳!不過,麵包咬下偏濕淋了少許,似在吃蛋糕的感覺﹗麵包不甚討小妹歡心,咬一口即決定棄掉;但卻深得老爹的垂青,一口氣吃掉了兩大塊﹗

老爹是日不欲吃肉食,故點了蒜片橄欖油意粉 $118。餐廳的意粉入口香口惹味、煙韌彈牙且具嚼勁,炒得極為乾身而不油膩,越嚼越有勁﹗與Piccolo Pizzeria & Bar比較,餐廳的意粉賣相較為吸引。廚師刻意於意粉上加上鮮綠蔬菜作點綴,並加入紅黃椒同炒,色彩較為艷麗耀目。此外,餐廳意粉味道也較為合小妹口味,香草、蒜片、紅黃椒味道均不會太過濃烈,一切恰到好處,渾然天成。

餐飲或甜品二選一,我們要了後者,是日甜品核桃蛋糕配雲呢嗱雪糕。甫上枱,美哉靚哉﹗視感效果一流也﹗絕非坊間粗製濫造的跟餐甜品可以媲美﹗白色瓷碟上,廚師以朱古力醬畫上兩個隋圓形,再放上一球白雪雪、以深綠薄荷葉作點綴的雪糕球,下有少量鵝黃色粉狀的玉桂粉吊味;另一邊則有一件三角形切件海綿蛋糕,再灑上白色輕盈糖霜作裝飾。

雪糕冰凍香濃,質感也夠幼滑,可蘸上玉桂粉同吃,提升味道層次。蛋糕質感鬆軟,牛油味則不甚濃郁,面層有一粒香脆核桃增添咬口和嚼勁。跟餐甜品也有如斯水準,廚師也願花心思去製作,實在值得一讚。

I visited Tinello on a Friday evening. I arrived as a party of two and was seated around 7:30. We ordered drinks to enjoy buy one get one free promotion during happy hour, and happy hour lasted til 8 pm. We then ordered a salad and a pizza to share from the a la carte menu.Sadly, only our drinks were served between the sitting period from 7:30 to 8pm. However, the table next to us, also a party of 2, had been served with 2 salads, a steak, and a pasta. This party arrived about the time our drink

I visited Tinello on a Friday evening. I arrived as a party of two and was seated around 7:30. We ordered drinks to enjoy buy one get one free promotion during happy hour, and happy hour lasted til 8 pm. We then ordered a salad and a pizza to share from the a la carte menu.
Sadly, only our drinks were served between the sitting period from 7:30 to 8pm. However, the table next to us, also a party of 2, had been served with 2 salads, a steak, and a pasta. This party arrived about the time our drinks were served, so how come they had 2 courses served before us???

This issue was brought to the attention of the manager. We asked for a food several times with other staff, where they all just assured us that it was on the way or pointed the finger to the manager saying that he is taking care of it. After waiting for 30 minutes without our food we lost our patience and asked for our bill. Time was dragging on, and the manager came over and advised us that our food is ready, but by then after chasing for the food on several counts and encountered apathetic service, we were no longer interested to stay for the meal.

At this point, the manager sort of lost his cool and tried to reason with us that "Italian fine dining" takes time to serve and that since our food is now "ready to be served," it is our choice to not have it and in that case, we would have to pay the bill for everything. If Italian fine dining takes time, then why did the party next to us have 2 courses served in the span of 10-15 minutes? I want to note that even as we left, they were still working on their salads so their pasta and steak were sitting cold under the fans.

The manager gave us the bill for the drinks without the cost of the food. However, we ordered cocktails (cosmopolitan and American sangria) to enjoy the buy one get one free promotion. If I remember correctly, the bill came up to roughly $188 and items on the receipt showed that the drinks were charged separately. I chose not to argue further with the staff because the experience has been awful thus far. And I can afford $188 to learn to never return to this restaurant.
題外話/補充資料: As a consumer we were questioned and challenged on our knowledge level of "italian fine dining." Personally I perceived the manager was attempting to insult us. In my understanding, "italian fine fining" included service which was not present in this particular employee. Neither was he apologetic in his failure to bring us our order (I am guessing he forgot to put it in in the first place hence it never came), nor was he remorseful for the fault.

其中一位女侍應收碟時,把我們其中一位同事吃上碟上的茄汁弄了在我的褲子上,還好像沒有事發生。到我不斷抹褲子的時候,她仍沒有反應。到我再望一望她,她才說" Oh! It's so busy!"最後她也沒有拿紙巾給我,雖然我自己也有紙巾,但是這也是常識嗎?

餐只跟餐飲或甜品,似乎甜品價值高一些,所以我們大部份選了甜品甜品來了,但是無餐具。店員聽到我們的討論,才送上大羹。我認為這樣的情況不應該出現吧。今天的甜品tiramisu賣相精美,可是甜度太高,缺少了tiramisu應有的苦味。雪糕都算滑,但又是過甜了。或許廚師想我們在寒冬下甜入心吧?

I first discovered this area of Brim 28 as I had a friend who worked around Wan Chai. It's a nice spot as it's a bit off the main drag so it's not as crowded for lunch or dinner. I've been here a few times and the pastas here are top notch. Last week I stopped by to have dinner here on a weeknight. The restaurant was about 3/4 full. I ordered what I usually get when I want pasta - spaghetti alle vongole. I was tempted to try something new but at the end decided to stick with the tried and true.

The pasta arrived with plenty of clams, cherry tomatoes, and garlic. The smell was enticing and the linguini was cooked al dente. The flavor was rich and flavorful. My only complaint is that the pasta was pretty dry - it would have been even better to leave some sauce behind so as to better consume the linguini. Couldn't finish it all as it was too dry at the end.

Aside from the pastas, the other food here seems to be just average. I ordered the tiramisu and it arrived very pretty in a sundae glass. As I start to dig in, I find very little mascarpone cheese and lots of cake. The entire thing was too dry as there was too much sponge cake in ratio, and there was no taste of alcohol or coffee at the botton layer of the cake. Pretty disappointing - I would just stick with the pasta here.

Disembarked from Wanchai Pier at 10ish on a Friday night, a gang of 4 was hunting for a late dinner in the area around. We decided to take a look at Brim 28, the dining area on the upper floor of Causeway Centre. Finally we settled in Tinello as recommended by one of us.

Tinello served 3-course set dinner at around HK$250 each but we found a la carte more flexible and interesting thus we didn’t go for the dinner set. The overall food was satisfactory given reasonable prices, services and location. Brim 28, the ex-Sanlitun, had been renovated for more than a year hoping to upscale itself as a new Soho. However, it is still a long way to attract diners even at weekends. On the up side, most of the restaurants keep their prices at a reasonable level to maintain it’s competitiveness.

Spinach salad with rockets, baked goat cheese, slow roasted tomatoes, bell peppers, garlic confit, toasted walnuts and balsamic vinegar. The greens were fresh and the dressing was fine, just the down side was that some of the spinach seemed more like local or mainland grown which may not be appropriate as salad.

Described as linguine with fresh blue swimmer crabmeat, however, the meat was not as fresh than it was expected. Mixed with bell peppers, capers, crash chili flakes, white wine garlic sauce, the linguine was al dente though.

It was our first visit to this restaurant. Our friends had booked the venue for a birthday dinner. They had been there before and knew Luigi, the bar manager. He welcomed us at the entrance and introduced himself. He promised to take good care of us and so he did. The restaurant is clean and projects a warm and cosy atmosphere. It was our first visit to this restaurant. Our friends had booked the venue for a birthday dinner. They had been there before and knew Luigi, the bar manager. Nearby, Luigi decorked a big bottle of champagne serving every guest a glass on the house in celebration of his upcoming birthday. Thanks Luigi!
The set dinner cost hkd 248 and included a choice of starters, mains and dessert. Our table neighbours went for the set and all dishes looked great. Pizza was't part of the menu and hence, we ordered a la carte. We thought prices were very reasonable and portions generous. My wife and I went for mussels in white wine sauce as a starter. The mussels were fat and tasty. I then had a parma ham pizza with rocket salad that was very yummy too. My wife followed Luigi's recommendation and ordered a seafood risotto (there is 3 risottos on offer but change daily). It did not disappoint. The ttexture was creamy and smooth, the seafood flavour intense yet not overpowering. Our friends tried the ribeye, the ricotta ravioli and the lamb chops, amongst others. Everyone seemed to utterly enjoy their food. I only tried the lamb chops and loved them. They had a nice pink colour inside, were juicy and non-chewy. Also, I liked the fact that there was no overpowering lamb smell. We skipped dessert as we were full already. Luigi refilled our glasses with Chianti once more before we felt we needed to get some fresh air after this delicious dinner. It was a great eve amongst friends complemented with great food and service. Luigi was an amazing host. We'll be back!

I went to Tinello the first time two weeks ago. Everything about it was fantastic. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the atmosphere beautiful. We were a big group of people so we ordered a variety of dishes including appetizers, mains and desserts. And nothing disappointed, all was very fresh and of distinct and great flavor. Coupled with a very inviting ambiance the service was great, the staff gave us a lot of attention and excellent recommendations.
There is very good value for money as prices for both the impressing range of wines and food are very reasonable.
I can highly recommend anybody to go and try Tinello themselves. It is worth it!

Tinello is part of the Al dente Group, serving mostly Italian inspired dished. Not everything is authentically Italian, but this night's Chicken Salad for $88HKD was done really above my expectations indeed.
The chicken carried a smoky grilled trait that is hard to find, but yet remained softly moist and well seasoned. The salad leaves were accompanied by a nice thick fruity dressing. ~ 9/10

The separate thin Seafood Pizza was also deemed reasonable but not exciting. -
But the mussels stand out with flavour impact. What a fun night out indeed!

I like how some shops are so low key, but Quality vs Price Range wise is doing a good enough job. I mean, there are certain Hotel Italian Restaurants around here which are more high end stuff but still can't get the cooking right.

早前跟同事們試了Brim 28的Tinello,頗滿意,這晚帶友人來這裡慶祝聖誕節 :)原來晚上的氣氛更動人﹗餐廳選的紅酒既便宜(HK$58/杯),也跟Sirloin Steak很配,Mr. Cat十分滿意(但我是完全不懂的,我還是愛喝利賓納,嘻嘻)。Prosciutto e Brie (HK$79)﹕友人不停讚好,但我忙著吃以下的一碟,沒有試這個 : )Di Caprese (HK$86)﹕這就是我很喜歡的buffalo mozzarella加上新鮮蕃茄﹗讚﹗因為這兩天都吃得太多,很膩,所以點了Tomato Soup來refresh自己﹗喝後果然舒服很多﹗Lasagna (HK$118)﹕昨晚吃的Lasagna太膩,這晚我只拍照沒有試了,但友人都讚好。Mr. Cat點了Set Dinner,主菜是Grilled Sirloin Steak (HK$248),肉質和味道都不錯,而且配菜十分豐富,和我上次試的Set Lunch一樣,有南瓜、白蘿蔔、豆和薯蓉等。友人點了蔬菜pizza,其實pizza我只愛吃pepperoni或類似的,其他都不喜歡,但友人說批底夠脆,不錯的。Set Dinn

我另外點了Mixed Sorbet (HK$58)﹕有三球,酸度剛剛好,非常清新,賣相亦討人歡喜﹗

這裡服務很好,我們6個人點菜時有少許混亂,但服務員仍笑容可掬,極有耐性地為我們提供建議。用餐期間亦不停替我們添水和收拾桌子等,值得讚賞﹗

Happy Friday和同事們到了Brim 28的Tinello吃午餐。感覺非常開揚,氣氛很好﹗麵包其實味道不錯,十分鬆軟,但不知為何有點濕濕的 @_@Set Lunch可選餐湯或沙律,今天的Soup of the Day是南瓜湯。沙律有兩個選擇,上圖是Tuna Salad,同事分了一點給我試試,材料豐富,非常美味。我選了上圖的Caesar Salad,其實味道也不錯(如果醬汁多點會更好),但Tuna Salad好吃多了,非常後悔,嗚嗚……Main Course的其中一個選擇是BBQ Pork Chop (HK$108),醬汁帶點點酸甜,非常開胃,豬扒肉質有嚼頭又絕不會太韌,美味﹗我點的Fish Fillet (HK$108),肉質軟硬適中,加上極豐富的配菜包括薯蓉、南瓜、白蘿蔔和豆等,實在美味﹗甜品和餐飲只可選擇其一,甜品賣相也不錯呢﹗這一餐大家都非常滿意 :)

剛剛俾老友約咗去舊三里屯食午飯,唔知點解去到間間都有位?最後揀咗呢間入嚟搏吓!裝修唔錯、氣氛也不弱!諗住簡簡單單完事吧!見佢件Ribeye衹收$128咁筍,Sirloin仲超平$118,咁就試吓啦!正所謂平嘢無好...加上意大利菜...呢舖中晒伏!先講講頭盤凱薩沙律,dressing唔夠,攪到邊有邊無薄稀稀,一喺你就on side好嗎!此外吞那魚沙律亦是唯一要讚的。埋牙大盤時,一看成八、九安大大件好吸引,邊知埋尾得六、七成落度肚,你話抵唔抵!肉味無乜、多根、堅韌..應有盡有!講真,咁嘅價錢心知肚明!但換番轉我情願你貴D,質素好、自然就要俾多D,超合理!這也是飲食一族的文化!至於甜品咖啡中規中矩啦!但願其他菜色唔係咁差吧!至於個光頭鬼佬經理都幾nice的!

相約三數舊同事午飯,目標選取一間環境寧靜的餐廳用膳。在Openrice閒逛了一陣子,最終決定到灣景中心的Tinello閒聚,順道試菜 雖說是午膳時間,但店內食客不算多,正提供了一個寧靜的用餐環境。西餐廳內的裝潢配置不走豪華路線,但舒適度還算理想的。午市套餐有六款選擇,有意粉、魚、雞及牛扒,價錢由$108至$128不等,連頭盤及飲品/甜品,都唔算貴噃!先來的永遠是麵包籃,意大利香草包,入口暖暖的,質感軟中又帶點口感,香草及洋蔥味道淡淡交替,配上黑醋及橄欖油來吃口味更佳!頭盤沙律餐湯二選一,今趟試了椰菜花忌廉湯,椰菜花切碎磨蓉,喝下還覺粒粒口感,湯底菜花味重,忌廉味薄,配搭效果不錯。湯中放入麵包粒一小件,沾滿湯汁很好吃。主菜點了Chicken Saltimbocca,在雞胸上放上菠菜及Mozzarella Cheese,煎香封住肉汁再淋上內含Marsala Wine的醬汁,製法比較一般扒類花心思及複雜。雞胸表面微微煎燶,味帶鹹香,肉質本身不算滑溜,但亦不會過於鞋口。再切入雞柳中間部份,就會顯現菠菜芝士夾心,份量不多,但有畫龍點睛之效。伴碟配菜亦不馬虎,食材有紅椒、南瓜、紅蘿蔔及豆角等,部份

這餐廳的位置可算難找,看OPENRICE明明在碼頭前方, 但我們卻繞了幾圈才發現是在前幾個"天橋口"餐廳的格調不錯, 是傳統昏暗的浪漫型餐廳,聽說還是AL DENTE GROUP的成員呢~食評:麵包: 澆一點黑醋和橄欖油十分開胃南瓜湯: 內有蒜蓉包的南瓜湯. 似乎下了不少開水煮, 沒有南瓜的味道, 反而有點像羅宋湯...的味之素Portobello Grill: 以前菜來說, 似乎頗大, 但吃下去不然, 加上芝士焙的大蘑菇非常新鮮可口, 再嘗一點雜果沙律, 美味! 所以我經常說前菜從來比MAIN COURSE來得驚喜及令人回味煙鴨胸配桃: GF說很厚好吃, 只吃了一口的我也覺得不錯, 只是不如我那款那麼有特色而已西冷牛排: 我的主菜終於上場, 從來對意大利餐廳的扒類沒有期望, 是次的MEDIUM牛排亦一如所料, 有牛味但不重, 有根, 而且還是順紋切...只能說意大利餐廳的扒類從不是強項吧天使麵拌海鮮: 海鮮的份量很足, 天使麵反而不夠, 佐麵的龍蝦+干邑忌廉醬太烯亦多, 令麵變得像湯粉, 算是敗筆芒果,青懧,士多啤梨雪葩: 很大的雪葩, 而且還X3, 味道很像鮮果, 只是青懧味有點像

題外話/補充資料: 店中的經理(光頭那位)偶爾會跟我們聊天, 什麼也聊一下, 態度非常友善而且時間掌握得宜, 不會太煩擾, 值得加分
