I had been to this bar once a while ago, the drinks served at the bar are not particularly outstanding. Generally ok but are a bit pricy. Putting that aside, I had the worst experience ever lately at this bar. My friend and I finished dinner on ice house street and saw that there is an entrance to the bar at the side of the building of ice house street level (I assume that’s the back door of the building actually, not belonging to the bar), we went through that door to check out the bar. At hallway of the bar, after my friend had had a quick glance of the a few seconds, my friend suggested that we went to LKF instead. So, we wanted to take the lift and left the building. At that very instant, the non-Chinese male receptionist/manager became very rude and asked “hello, what are you doing here? If you are not the bar customer, you can’t use the lift”. My friends and I replied “we are just gonna take the lift and leave. This is common area isn’t it”. The receptionist/manager then said “this is not common area, this is private”. He then tried to physically blocked our way to take the lift while there were actually a few of their customers waiting and catching a lift down the building.
We were completely stunned and said to him that this hallway was supposed to be common parts of the building and should not be the private part of the bar! We asked him to show documents/rules or go to the management office and asked whether we can take the lift or not !
This dragged on for a while and that manager/receptionist kept blocking our way to the lift. This is completely insane. His unreasonable acts would definitely drive potential customers away!
Another compliant is that, the bar left the side door opened. Isn’t that supposed to be a managed by the building owner not themselves? People can get up or down through that door easily without having the pass through the front door and cctv !
