終於等到主角出場,我地要medium🐮。
份steak上枱前已被解體,一黎到就聞到好香既煎牛扒味,碟上面既油仲好滾,聽到gigi聲,侍應叮囑我地千萬唔好摸隻碟,因為仲好熱🔥

肉望落去比較生,有d似medium rare,但因為好香,所以忍唔住都要先試一啖。
外層好香脆,雖然咁生,但入口好林,唔會𡁻唔到,可能因為係dry-aged關係,所以肉質可以保持鮮嫩,肉味濃郁😋

Craving for American Style Steak, so we all (5 people) went to Wolfgang steak house which just opened not long ago. Typical setting as an American steak house, but through out the night, it was pretty noisy, which never happens if you go to a nice steak house in U.S. Ordered the seafood platter, I adored those jumbo lump crab meat! Wolfgang Salad is recommended by the staffs, however, it is only few tomato, shrimp and Canadian bacon cut up in cubes on top lettuces cup….. nothing special about it. I think I try Beverly Hills chopped salad next time. 

To the star of the night, we order the Wolfgang signature porterhouse for 2 (Prime USDA Black Angus, dry-aged for 28 days) and 1 portion of Rib Eye steak. Love porterhouse came with 2 different texture of meat. Steak came on the sizzling hot plate. 
Slightly charred on the outside, LOVE the strong flavor of Black Angus, it was beautifully tender and juicy, I prefer this than the Australian one.

主食我們點了Porterhouse for two($1150),牛扒1000g.這家餐廳的牛扒每個星期從美國空運到香港,再進行乾式熟成28天,怎麽可能不點來試試看(笑)!和美國一樣,上來碟子很熱還有吱吱聲,牛肉的香味撲鼻而來。店員會拿一個小碟子掂高一邊讓油流到另一邊,牛肉已經切好一塊塊。好的牛扒沒有什麼汁醬放點鹽就已經很好吃,超期待!我們叫了3成熟,牛肉外表全熟但內裏還是血紅色。但吃了一塊我覺得很失望,因為牛肉本身很瘦只有兩頭比較肥那種,而且有點韌。牛肉有股騷味,味道真心一般,來吃的只是因為想回味一下美國的味道。

小食點了Cottage Fries($89),我不建議大家點。因為其實這像薯片只是烤了太久而且沒有什麼味道的薯片(驚),而且很硬,咬得嘴巴都疼,建議大家還是點普通的薯條可能會比較好吃。
甜點我們點了芝士蛋糕。這邊的cheesecake可以一試,很經典的美式芝士蛋糕,很dense的那種,酸和甜剛剛好,芝士味濃郁,好吃!

總體來說我覺得對這家餐廳的主打牛扒有點失望,大概用同樣的價錢我會選擇吃附近的另一家扒房吧。

成晚環境仲嘈過酒樓中式婚宴新人敬酒果吓,爭企個朱咪咪出嚟唱歌就以為去咗八十年代尖東翠麗華。
原來今天的扒房已淪落至此!
消費每位$1200這價位絕對有更好的選擇。

The famous Wolfgang steakhouse obviously made a recent foodie attraction. As many friends suggested that I should try this place, so I figured today is the day when I should try the legend. Nevertheless, I did not find the steakhouse very interesting. The toilet smelled really bad, seats were not too comfortable and food was rather ambiguous (didn't outlive its reputation). I ordered a tuna tartare and a rib eye. The USDA beef does have its charm which was pretty decent but I didn't think it was

The place is just too noisy. You have to scream to speak to you friends. And you still don't hear anything. After a long stressful day, don't go there, it will drive you mad.Food is ok. Chopped salad is good and nicely chopped. Meat quality is good. However, 1.5kg porterhouse for 3 persons, I expected a one while piece of meat, but it's only 2 pieces of meat in 1.5kg... I just miss those huge porterhouse that you can get in New York...Appetiser & salad arrived in a second after you ordered... j

Food is ok. Chopped salad is good and nicely chopped. Meat quality is good. However, 1.5kg porterhouse for 3 persons, I expected a one while piece of meat, but it's only 2 pieces of meat in 1.5kg... I just miss those huge porterhouse that you can get in New York...

Appetiser & salad arrived in a second after you ordered... just like fast food...

Wine list is fine but you won't find anything below $800.

The deco is cheap... Dan Ryan is probably better and has more character.

The toilet is smelly and kind of dirty. You will go through a mess to enter to the toilet...

Looking from the street, you don't see a nice restaurant but all the air-con machines...

And It's just too noisy inside!

We had some oysters, bacons, and crab cakes for appetizers and then we got porterhouse with medium rare and also ribeye with black and blue. Both of them are very well prepared the steaks were very soft and juice. The service were excellent. This is the worst ever high-end steakhouse experience in town. In short the following are the fatal 👎🏻1. Terribly crowded - that waiters bumped into each other at least five times in front of me. This is the worst ever high-end steakhouse experience in town. In short the following are the fatal 👎🏻
1. Terribly crowded - that waiters bumped into each other at least five times in front of me. As a result they drop dishes and liquid on the floor three times.

2. Even noisier than local dai pai dong, as a result of 1)

4. When I explained my complaints to the manager-in-charge
he explained to me that it is the NY's headquarters decision to keep it that crowded. And it takes time for the team to gel in to provide better services. But wait, should they do it at the expense of us, the customers?

I would definitely NOT recommend anyone to visit the restaurant as a result of the above.

呢排非常有口福,吃了幾間近來才開業的餐廳,其中一間備受矚目的非Wolfgang’s Steakhouse莫屬。相信這個名字在美國人眼中是熟識的,以為在香港未必有太多人知道,就大錯特錯了。就在一個雨過天晴的日子,踏進這間充滿扒房氣息的餐廳,嚇了一大跳,店內早已坐滿了客人,氣氛熱鬧高漲。可能由於樓底較矮及座位編排較近的關係,較為嘈雜,很難與朋友傾談,可是這種融和的氣氛又不能隨處可見,加上深色皮革、胡桃木傢俱及白色餐枱的設計,很有傳統美式扒房的特式。 由於扒房是從美國而來,所供應的牛扒都是選用USDA品質的,配合自家Dry-aged的技術,所供應的Porterhouse、Sirloin及Rib-eye都很上乘。始終胃口有限,不像外國人般可以一人一件,所以就點了Porterhouse for Two作分享,再點上一些頭盤、海鮮及甜品。 開始前,侍應送來了一籃熱辣辣,香噴金的麵包來,其中一款充滿牛油香的軟包,內裡更夾雜了乾蔥,塗點牛油來吃,確是滋味。 高級扒房的服務真是不俗,上菜有次序,Seafood Platter先來,三人份量真是不講得少,份量十足,有開邊波士頓龍蝦、巨型大蝦及蟹肉

由於扒房是從美國而來,所供應的牛扒都是選用USDA品質的,配合自家Dry-aged的技術,所供應的Porterhouse、Sirloin及Rib-eye都很上乘。始終胃口有限,不像外國人般可以一人一件,所以就點了Porterhouse for Two作分享,再點上一些頭盤、海鮮及甜品

開始前,侍應送來了一籃熱辣辣,香噴金的麵包來,其中一款充滿牛油香的軟包,內裡更夾雜了乾蔥,塗點牛油來吃,確是滋味。

高級扒房的服務真是不俗,上菜有次序,Seafood Platter先來,三人份量真是不講得少,份量十足,有開邊波士頓龍蝦、巨型大蝦及蟹肉,全部都很鮮甜,有驚喜,蘸上特製的Cocktail Sauce,份外美味。

因食扒的關係,往往不會點太多頭盤,可是蟹餅卻從來都會是首選。這個Wolfgang’s Crab Cake與平常的蟹餅有點不一樣,微微香脆的炸皮包著的是一梳梳的蟹肉,蟹肉塞得飽滿結實,相當滿足。

為了平衡一下,也會點上沙律的,然而這個Wolfgang’s Salad都差不多每枱都會柯打的,賣相有趣,將所有材料切成粒狀,並以生菜盛載,用料都很豐富,特別是加入了厚切我加拿大煙肉,這款煙肉的滋味確是魅力沒法擋,大大提升了沙律的吸引程度。

目標主角的Porterhouse出場了,賣相一點也不花巧,實實在在地放在一個大瓷碟上,上枱時,黃油依然翻滾冒煙,不過香氣卻十分誘人。

喜歡吃Porterhouse的朋友都知道分了兩個部位,一邊是牛柳,一邊是西冷,侍應快速地為我們分配好。先嚐一下西冷,經過了28日Dry-aged後,肉味果然香濃,而且也沒有一貫的羶味。質感軟腍帶點點爽口,而且肉汁豐富,中心部份更呈現出櫻桃紅色,火喉不錯。另一邊的牛柳,會較為熟一點點,不過卻很容易吃到非常軟腍的質地,加上肉味更為香濃,甚少機會覺得這一邊會比西冷更為美味,令人讚嘆。

同時間,也點了幾款配菜,分別是幼滑的Mashed Potatoes、惹味的Creamed Spinach及焦香脆口的German Potatoes,當中的菠菜真是特別,雖然是Creamed,但卻一點忌廉也沒有下,可是味道卻很Creamy,確是神奇;而German Potatoes絕對是非常受歡迎的一道,香口又邪惡,美味。最後幸好沒有點上mac & cheese,否則真的吃不完。

Wolfgang's setting was very much like a neighborhood diner - Tables were so close to each other and there was so little space in between. The aisles were narrow that a waiter's thigh literally touched my elbow twice when he was walking past me. Hmmm..The environment was so so noisy. I almost thought we were actually going yum-cha on a Sunday noon. Our party of 5 literally couldn't hear what each other were saying or just had to shout. The environment was so so noisy. I almost thought we were actually going yum-cha on a Sunday noon. Our party of 5 literally couldn't hear what each other were saying or just had to shout. Or maybe a chance to practice on lip reading? A comparable environment I can think of is Din Tai Fung (in particular the causeway bay store - always so noisy and gives you a headache) or Cafe de Coral at lunch hours.

With regards to their service.. I found that questionable. We were asked two times within 5 minutes "are you ready to order", almost felt like being pushed to order when we were in fact still waiting for one more person to arrive. They also seemed to be in a rush to take away all the plates on the table when we were finishing our own plates. Some of the waiters/waitresses looked clueless of what they should do and ended up wandering around.

And one more thing that I was a little surprised. While we were still deciding on what to order, they basically just took our wine glasses away without asking if we were going to drink. We weren't planning to anyway but I would have been discouraged to order should I have planned for.

In terms of the food, such a shame that we did not have the chance to try out their famous rib-eyes because those were sold out! I was dumbfounded when I heard that. A steakhouse had rib-eyes sold out? Wow, that was very impressive. We did not arrive at the restaurant late either (7:30pm). And in my very humble opinion, shouldn't this be addressed when the restaurant called us to confirm on the booking just a couple of hours prior to the reservation? We ended up getting two porterhouse for two and a bunch of sides. That was more than enough for 5 of us.

Mushroom soup was just bland. I couldn't taste anything close to mushroom or fungi or what not. I think their selling point of the soup was no butter and no cream, but I wasn't expecting there was no taste too. Luckily I still had salt & pepper on the table.

Chopped salad was ok. But we actually requested 3 times to exclude all blue cheese and/or goat cheese. Twice when we were ordering and once more when the waitress came back to reconfirm. Probably the message wasn't delivered properly because there were still crumbs of goat cheese when the salad arrived.

The steak was not bad, it wasn't good either.

Honestly, with this kind of environment and quality of food I'm sure there are a lot of other options around at a reasonable price.

Will not return.

今次BYOW dinner date night, 老公揀選了 Leoville Las Cases 1986,這裡的sommelier當然專業,來到餐廳後再放decanter, 配上店家的酒杯,開始是晚的美酒佳餚夜。(P.S. corkage fee is $350 per bottle)

頭盤來了一客海拼盤(一人份量),目的只為淺嘗。

一人份有蝦兩隻,半邊龍蝦,以及一份蟹肉。早幾日我們才在家吃過游水蝦,所以這種冰鮮蝦就不免被比下去。龍蝦不過不失,反而最無期望的蟹肉則叫我倆都有驚喜,是出奇的鮮甜! 三百幾元的一客海鮮拼盤,在這種餐廳來說,是交到貨的。

是晚主角,除了我倆外
,就當然是porterhouse steak for 2啦,亦是這間餐廳menu的 focal point.

大家都仍記得我們一起吃porterhouse的第一次,那種視覺和味覺的震撼亦瀝瀝在目。porterhouse steak即是一邊tenderloin ,另一邊是sirloin,而USDA規定,tenderloin portion一定要至少1.25寸闊才可稱之為porterhouse steak。
生熟程度我們要了medium,上枱時油香撲鼻, 肉呈深粉色,店方將每邊各一塊肉放在我們的熱碟上,淋上少許牛扒油 (名乎其實的叫牛油!),未吃已經暈了一半。
上等的牛扒不必太多的調味,所以是晚的牛扒只是very slightly seasoned,幾乎吃不出任何調味,但卻有濃香的牛肉味,加上牛扒汁,真的是原汁原味,我們大飽口福。 
枱上放了一支自家製的牛扒醬汁,是微辣的蕃茄加horseradish 味,用來配牛扒也有另一番風味,不過還是淨食最好。

即使牛扒要打包,我們的傳統就是要吃甜品吧! 也是挑了signature 的lime pie & cheesecake。

有驚喜的是cheesecake, 見它的模樣都覺得不是New York style cheesecake, 的而且確,是很fluffy,奶味偏重,吃起來不會覺得胃部負擔很重,令人心情愉快。

很滿足的一個晚上,所有食物都值得encore。今次有難得的二人世界,會隨著孩子漸大而漸減少嗎? 希望可以維持定期而不太疏落的二人世界~

Came here with a group of friends for dinner and the food wasn't bad. Shrimp cocktail was juicy and portions were decent. Crabcakes were apportioned reasonably and tasted good. the porterhouse was good too though a bit dry. the sundae was probably the best at dessert time - came in a big glass and was a good topping off after dinner. However the restaurant was nowhere near the standard of New York City or Los Angeles. I mean, this idea of a porterhouse for 2, 3 or 4 just doesn't make sense.

However the restaurant was nowhere near the standard of New York City or Los Angeles. I mean, this idea of a porterhouse for 2, 3 or 4 just doesn't make sense. Obviously they have pre-cooked pieces of meat beforehand hence the quality of each piece is different. A porterhouse is a porterhouse. it doesn't come in different sizes. This is taking advantage of less knowledgeable customers.
Location of the restaurant is good but don't expect to hear your friends speak because the acoustics are just horrible. Low ceilings and hardwood floors don't help!

餐廳內的裝修都不錯,但座位同座位之間的距離是非常之近。大家的距離近到是可以聽到大家在說什麼。如果是想和男女朋友來的話,我一定不會建議這間餐廳。還有他們的留底是比較低,所以當餐廳坐滿人的時候都有一點嘈吵。連坐在我對面的朋友,我都不太聽得清楚他在說什麼。這方面已經大減了分。在嘢食方面,不過不失。如果我是付這個價錢,我還有其他很好的選擇。但來到的話,我一定會介紹他們的Sizzling Canadian bacon - 厚厚的bacon,煮到金黃脆脆的, 放入口有一陣甘香的味道在口腔裏徘徊。Crab cake - 雖然有一點小,但每一啖也是大片的蟹肉。Salad, 我們吃了Wolfgang's salad 和 chopped salad. 沒有什麼特別。 主菜,Porterhouse for four 真的有點失望。牛肉真的有一點點的牛蘇味。沒想到,在這個地方的牛肉會這樣。這間餐廳有他的好和不好,看看你們來吃他的主菜還是吃他的陪材了。
