Main course:
Sea bass (for me) was quite nice but can't say it was exceptionally well.
Lamb dish (for my boyfriend) was very well presented, juicy, tender and tasted perfect. No complains from my picky boyfriend.

Dessert was mainly a disappointment. Two out of three items I tried were way too sweet. If we were able to enjoy the credit card discount promotion just ended the day before, we would have been more pleased for the overall dining experience here.

平常去九龍香格里拉午餐都首選灘萬,今天試試Angelini意大利餐廳。中午Semi Lunch Menu有Appetisers from the Buffet,有二、三十款自助式前菜吧,頭盤水準不及同級餐廳如Cine Citta或Isola的Antipesto Bar,當中只有生牛肉片是唯一比較出色的。什菌湯毫無水準可言!主菜選了松子仁羅勒醬焗千層麵伴車厘子蕃茄汁,Genova風格,Genova在意大利北部,跟意大利南部的千層麵有什麼不同?不知道!只知道這份千層麵不太好吃,沒有肉醬,只有羅勒的味道和松子仁的口感,千層麵較硬身,面層烤成焦脆,芝士很膩,整體令人失望!甜品是杏仁酒香布丁,賣相比味道好。三百多元一個午餐,不值!

今日臨時在尖東返工,午餐想食好D,就諗起附近有Angelini。$218午餐包自助頭盤、甜品及咖啡。$258就加多一個大盤。一場黎到,當然要$258的全餐。自助吧都有不少選擇,最好食係生牛肉,平時散叫都要百多元一客。其他的如露筍、芝士等水準都不錯,其實只係食自助頭盤都夠飽了。大盤選了牛仔肉(腩肉),雖然已經有七分飽,但仍然覺得牛仔肉好味。牛仔肉邊的部份煎到甘脆,中間部份有綠豆、紅蘿蔔粒加蛋煮成的蓉,幾好味。配菜亦不錯,一點不馬虎。甜品係朱古力味的布丁,這個就有點失色,太甜,就算配 Expresso 都覺得太甜。另外有個蛋湯,無乜特別,只係似鹽水煮蛋。麵包就真係失分,太乾太實,這方面要改進。環境、服務都係五星級的!

因為母親家裡的事而停了整整一個月的家庭聚餐終於恢復了,本身聞得離開了JC Group的名廚Harlan Goldstein回來在中環雲咸街開新店Gold By Harlan Goldstein, 所以想試試在The One的Harlan's. 可惜BOOK位時得知是日已被包場,只好轉移目標到尖東的Angelini.臨近聖誕,酒店佈置得很漂亮.餐廳外都有一顆聖誕樹.可能因為預先book位,所以可以坐在窗邊,看著一大片維港美景,人也比較開胃.$198有自助前菜+甜品, 加主菜則$238,主菜選rib eye或lamp chop要另加$100.聖誕期間一定要選有主菜的套餐.未點餐待應已送上麵包籃和每人一碟Pesto sauce. 麵包籃內容豐富,全都新鮮微暖. 急不及待把一大條grissini往口裡送,外層微硬而內裡鬆. 另有鬆軟洋蔥focaccia,香脆Ciabatta,小麥包和小藍啤梨包,全都是佳品,放涼了吃仍具吸引力. 試著用Pesto sauce送麵包吃,味道不出且跟麵包不太合襯,起的作用不大. 餐湯是西蘭花湯, 比較稠, 像菜蓉不像湯,入口味道清新,啖啖菜肉,感覺健康.甫坐下待應早

湯喝完了也就出發取頭盤. 頭盤款式多而且水準不俗. 基本的生菜,粟米,水牛芝士,豆,洋蔥,蕃茄,菇菌,烤茄子和西蘭花得當然不在話下. 另有醃製過的蘋果,青蘋果,紅菜頭,菠菜煎蛋卷,煙三文魚,生牛肉沙律. 想不到海鮮也有不少,有經調味的鱈魚塊,魷魚,八爪魚, 青口, 大蝦,龍蝦. 個人最愛鮮甜蘆筍,薄切parma ham配甜美哈密瓜,皮脆香膩烤元蹄片和口感爽脆似是玄米的黃色小物. 另一角放了凍肉和芝士.四種ham,包括莎樂美腸,煙燻火腿,肉味咸香,當中最深色的特別咸. 一大磚芝士,雖然早已切了一些碎塊在面,但上面仍插著一把小刀.旁邊有香蔥薄餅,味如中式蔥油餅,薄脆香口,用來伴芝士吃一流.吃得停不了口,好不容易停下來,已飽了七成.

香煎銀鱈魚柳伴蕃茄及元茄蓉,很神奇的一道菜. 魚柳嫩滑得像蒸魚般,肉汁封鎖了在一層層魚肉之間, 鮮味十足如同吃一尾新鮮魚,而且絲毫不腥.魚皮彈牙如蒸海班的魚皮,煮的時間定是控制得很好. 酸酸的蕃茄蓉與微甜的茄子蓉很特別,上面澆了些香草橄欖油,感覺清新.

西西里特色芝士脆卷外皮清脆,包著芝士夾心,加上開心果碎粒,口感豐富,有咬口. 雖然芝士味比較淡,只有輕輕的乳味,但是夾心很滑溜.甜度剛好,不會蓋過了果仁的香味.

脆吉士伴雜草莓醬,像燉蛋的吉士被焗脆了的外層包著. 本以為吉士會很甜很漏,竟料這個吉士香而不太甜,裡面還有一顆顆雲尼那籽,如能更滑更佳.下面的雜草莓醬濃甜得很, 伴著幾顆草莓和藍莓,酸酸的挺好吃.

最後要了杯香醇咖啡作句號.順帶一提星期六日信用卡咭結帳沒有優惠. 很久沒吃過如此美滿的一頓飯,更重要是一家人能愉快相對.很多時想替家人分擔一下煩惱,卻又感到無能為力,只能盡微力發板安排些家庭聚,找些好吃的,希望讓他們能放鬆一下心情.席間看到母親滿意的笑容,自己也十分滿足,亦要多謝這位意大利天使,讓我們度過了一個愉快的下午.

不知幾生修到,收到意大利商務專員的邀請,可往 Angelini 品嚐意大利美食,還可認識意大利 Friuli, Venezia 和 Giulia 區的佳釀,嗜嘴的我又怎會拒絕?晚上準時到達會場,但推介會遲了二十多分鐘才開始,原來因天雨關係,意大利註港領事也受塞車之苦,經過一輪官方演辭和各酒莊主人的自我介紹後,賓客陸續轉入燈光昏暗的 Angelini 餐廳,除卡座外,所有檯椅也移走,騰出空間放置幾個攤檔,每一攤檔擺放了不同食物和各酒莊的佳釀,而各酒莊的代表須為客人斟酒和介紹其產品,當中一位身裁高佻、美貌出眾的意國美女便成眾人之攝影對象,當然其酒莊的佳釀亦最受歡迎,此所謂「醉翁之意不在酒」乎?最先試的是即刨意大利風乾火腿,由大廚親自用機刨出薄片,鹹香的肉味,令沉睡了半天的味蕾打開,不知不覺吃了好幾片。轉移往吃熱頭盤,先試炸魷魚圈和焗扇貝,魷魚柔軟味鮮,炸漿是薄薄的一層,多吃也不覺膩,焗扇貝用白汁香草焗,帶出海鮮的鮮味,配白酒是最好不過,尤其首次嚐試了用Merlot 做的白酒,少了份單寧的澀味,紅的Merlot 試得多,對白Merlot 感覺特別,喜歡與否則見仁見智。接著又試了炸蝦球和意大利

另一檔擺放了 Vegetable Frittata 和 Asparagus Risotto,這是傳統意大利食品,不得不試,前者是一個加了很多菜蔬的批,菜蔬的植物香味與蛋汁融為一體,剛焗出來,不好吃才怪,這晚雖然食物眾多,但它絕不會淪為配角,Asparagus Risotto 是意大利飯,配了青露筍本是不錯,唯香港人無乜飯癮,我小試兩口便算。鄰檔的海鱸魚,靜靜地起革命,一件件海鱸魚煎得皮脆肉嫩,伴以香草番茄汁,廚師精湛的廚藝從鱸魚的香滑、不慍不火的肉質,全部顯露出來,吃了兩件後,而我竟然在這溫文爾雅的場合,盡失儀態,口中不期然說出兩個字:「好正!」

那邊廂又有新搞作,一件件圓形的物體,用 lentil 豆墊著,原來是 meat loaf ,有點像午餐肉,吃一件便算。在肉燈下是燒脆了的連皮豬腩,一咬下去,「卜」的一聲,微焦的豬皮應聲咬散,豬皮下已燒至半溶鬆化的肥膏和肉,將口裏填滿肉香和油香,連忙喝一口紅酒配合,美妙得不懂得形容,此刻,感覺自己已化身成為意大利籍的武松。接下來,給我發現了牛柳的縱影,嗜牛如命的我,先取了兩件,吃一口,無論肉質的嫩滑和肉味,完美得令人想哭,原來人太開心時是想哭的,如是者再吃兩件才罷休。隨後看見意大利粉,為了更加深入了解甚麼是 Al dente,也試了一口來完結我這晚的主食。

餐廳用了一整張木檯來擺放甜品,我試了 tiramisu,味道很好,但嫌不夠凍,拿破崙餅夠香脆,Blueberry tart 和 Raspberry tart 若是做細件一點必然更受歡迎,綠茶creme brulee,朱古力餅亦同樣精采,配以上佳的意大利甜白酒,真是天作之合。

星期日的buffet和平時有點不同,跟侍應傾談,頭盤依舊任食,但原來只有星期日甜品是任食的,可是星期日甜品是酒店出品,不是Angelini造的,平日則是Angelini,但卻不是自助,有甚麼不同?稍後再談。

恕我未能一一講解自助餐食品,今天想講的,是Spinosi。頭盤只挑幾款我覺得最好的講解一下吧。

ham有四種,另有一舊大芝士;雖然我說不出其各自的名字,但這四種ham也非常好味,肉味不同,咸味不一,各有特色。磨菇湯很多料,不用攪底輕輕一"畢",整碗湯都充滿磨菇,既香且甜。頭盤的帶子不是刺身,很甜,也很爽口,令人不期然encore。凍蕃茄也很不錯,酸甜很開胃。生牛肉沙律的牛肉味很濃,牛迷必吃。大條露荀任吃已經是賣點,好吃更是bonus。

每人可從五款主菜中揀一款,但留心只得一款是Spinosi。來到當然試Spinosi,先叫一個燴魷魚意大利幼麵小試牛刀。

意粉一到,已經聞到香味,賣相與其說是意大利粉,倒不如說像中國生麵,或粗身天使麵。吃一口,果然沒有失望,蛋香得過份!Spinosi口感比較煙韌和彈牙,蛋味很重,但吃進口卻有另一重麥味,於我來說,配料是甚麼已經不重要,第一次覺得吃意大利粉才是主角。當然其實配料也不差,茄汁很香,再配魷魚造的這個汁,你是看不到魷魚的,後來問侍應才知道,其實那些魷魚只是如指甲般大,再配豬肉蕃茄煮起鮮味,就是上面的那一堆肉醬了。

KO過這一碟之後,正惆悵是否再叫多一碟,還是吃其他;卻聽到侍應在向隔離檯介紹Spinosi,原來還有一款煮法不在餐牌的!也不能怪之前的侍應,因為他不會中文,所以沒介紹,馬上捉這位侍應講解,他很有心機也很詳細說出Spinosi的特別(雖然我已經在雜誌先睹為快了)。

Spinosi,全人手一站式製作,由養雞到風乾都係佢,咁點解會係Omega3意粉?正是那些雞,自家養的,養飼時更是係Omega3同維他命E,情況就同和牛一樣,吃得好,生出黎既蛋都高檔過人,再加上佢既意粉用蛋比平常的多一倍,小麥當然都是用靚料啦,是用粗糙的硬麥,想唔好食都幾難。

第二種煮法是白腰豆汁香煎大蝦Spinosi,是先用蝦同白腰豆煮汁,之後再把蝦回碟,正是汁都唔好晒。白腰豆煮完都都仲幾好味,再配車厘茄,味道不錯,但要跟之前那一個比,明顯是少了一點肉吊味,蝦也因為為了煮那個汁,鮮味都流走了大部份,而且肉質也不爽口了。當然Spinosi水準依舊,但最匹配的,我覺得還是茄汁,可能也因此這個未在餐牌中。

最後是甜品時間,幾款甜品都很好味。Tiramisu蛋糕很不錯,咖啡酒和白入口即溶,但之後同侍應傾計,佢推介Angelini自家的,因為酒店的是Tiramisu蛋糕,免不了要造得實一點,但Angelini的是用杯裝,所以可以多咖啡酒和造得軟熟d,這就是星期日和平日buffet兩者的分別。

甜品還有朱古力泡芙,雲尼拿注滿整個泡芙,上面再有開心果碎,值得一提是這裡大部份甜品也有raspberry在面,泡芙也不例外,多了一點酸甜味很不錯。raspberry cheese cake糖份過多,連我這甜魔也覺得甜了點。raspberry tart & blueberry tart兩者都很不錯,餅底脆,中間再注入雲尼拿,上面放上raspberry & blueberry,不會過甜,是我encore完再encore的甜品蘋果批中間有片片蘋果,連連上面有也青蘋果,蘋果青香,但又是那糖粉可以輕手點會更好。燉蛋加了其他東西所以是綠色的,但味道不似綠茶,焦糖不多,再加raspberry & blueberry,我覺得不錯。飯後水果有四款,西瓜、蜜瓜、哈蜜瓜、菠蘿,四樣都好清甜,尤以最好味是菠蘿,無渣無糖水但很甜,正。

最後來一杯熱檸茶,架生齊備,很有假日high tea的感覺。

不愧為五星酒店,服務一流,連經理也友善過人。經理在我拎住相機週圍影既時候,過黎問我係咪會post上OpenRice,閒談間非常好人地提議來個合照,也因為而認識了一位朋友,沒想到最後還請我地飲了一杯dessert wine,吃過甜品後來一杯甜酒,感覺是為這滿意的一餐再來個昇華,劃上完美句號。

To start off, the restaurant itself is very small and the seats are quite close together so it does get very noisy towards the end of the night (I went on a Wednesday and it was 60% capacity but still incredible loud at some points in the night).

The waiter served us a complimentary pre-appetizer; just put it down on the table and said, “this is your pre-appetizer” – no explanation of what it was or anything. When I asked further all I could get was “beef”. Didn’t matter that my wife does not eat beef mind you!!

The bread did not arrive at all until the soup came and then I asked for it! Many apologies later, I started on my tomato soup was not impressed. It looked and tasted like cheap tomato puree with chopped up onions.

For the main course we both ordered their signature lobster pasta. The waitress said she had to check something with the kitchen, then came back and said, “Sorry but we do not have the normal lobster in. So we are going to have to use a more high quality lobster. The price will be $400 instead of $230” – haha!?! What does that mean?? Are they normally serving up terribly low quality lobster for $230??? I replied that was fine as my heart was set on lobster that evening.

So on to the main course, the lobster was fresh and tasty but the rest of the food was just mediocre. I had porcini mushrooms with Foie gras as well and it was nothing special. The worse thing though is that the service is so terrible!! When the bread did arrive they just put it down with their “pesto” dipping sauce which isn’t as great as it sounds. They didn’t offer any alternatives and you have to constantly ask for anything extra, “Excuse me can I have bread, Excuse me can I have olive oil and balsamic vinegar’

The manager was scolding the waitress constantly. He stopped by my table for 2 mins and said, Hope your having a nice evening” so fast I could barely catch what he was saying. Then he moved to the next table and repeated the exact same sentence!!! HA! The way he repeated it just like a robot made the whole experience feel very insincere.

I guess what am trying to say is that for $1000+ I expect a certain level of service and Angelini just doesn’t have it. That would be fine if the food was incredible but the truth is that it is over priced and just average at best. I certainly won’t be going again.

已經是上年boxing day的事,是因為昨天剛吃過Only Buonasera的南意菜,才想起當天的angelini brunch當天吃過angelini後,男友經過Only Buonasera,說這間相信更加好(至於好與不好,這幾天有空寫Only Buonasera報告一下)在SABATINI同ANGELINI中二選一,選了後者因男友愛吃意粉,而當天的聖誕BRUNCH有龍蝦、蠔提供頭盤是BUFFET形式上,每款試一點蠔和龍蝦都是OK的,其實一般BRUNCH都不會供應這些大路海鮮反而HAM的選擇極少,令人失望其他的頭盤都比較普通。主菜只記得其中一個是橄欖油意粉可能是吃不慣吧,我很喜歡吃意菜中的意粉,這個麥味太強烈甜品由於是聖誕BRUNCH,以BUFFET形式進行,而且有不少的聖誕蛋糕與布甸,相對於平日的甜品,我比較喜歡大家在OPENRICE上分享的甜品,在BUFFET桌上反而沒有...用餐的地方可以看到海,雖小小的但仍很有空間感,有些是一家來的,感覺很溫馨總括而言,是可以的,但並不是全部都很出色

After hearing much buzz about it, I decided to go for dinner at Angelini. From the very friendly welcome at the door, to the great attention from the service, and of course, the delicious and beautiful food, it was truly a memorable night!

To begin my dinner, I was presented with fresh baked bread which was light and tasty. It is paired with a nice pesto sauce which helped to open my already growing appetite.

I selected the Scallops with white Tuscan beans as my appetizer. Everything was cooked to perfection, presented nicely with tender and flavourful scallops and perfectly cooked and seasoned beans. Just delicious!

My pasta dish (which was hard to choose one, they all sound amazing) was the Bucatini with spicy Calabrian sausage and Blue fin tuna. The combination of spicy and savoury was wonderful and my server could not have recommended a more perfect dish. The Blue fin tuna was so fresh and tasty.

Next, I had the Lamb chop with pistachio crust. The lamb was cooked to perfection and was tender and bursting with flavour. I have not had lamb this fresh in Hong Kong before.

By this time I was getting quite full, but I did leave some space for a dessert and selected the Sorrento lemon sabayon. The zest and citrus from the lemon added a nice compliment to my meal and ended things on a light and delicious note.

Overall a top-rating to Angelini and its staff for making my evening so memorable. Even the chef is quite personable and came by my table to make suggestions and say 'hello'. It was nice to made feel special and I will definitely return again.

This is our 2nd visit. We chose to be seated at the round sofa as it was really comfortable. Appetizer: buffalo mozzarella cheese w/ vine tomato and fresh basil (me)

Dessert:: Chef Vittorio's selection of seasonal homemade gelatos and sorbets (me: gelatos of pistachio and vanilla flavours)

We were served with "bonus"--traditional tiramisu, really traditional and authentic!

Finally came the petits four, really tasty esp. the biscotti!

意粉:
1) Angus steak燴意粉: 這是680元set的意粉, 牛肉非常軟, 應該是炆了一段時間, 故此一咬肉味完全爆發出來, 意粉口感很好, 吸了牛肉汁味道不錯.
2) Lobster Cannelloni: 這個是全晚的高潮! 每件cannelloni內的釀滿鮮龍蝦, 伴碟亦有不少龍蝦, 但不是因為量多而出眾, 整件cannelloni因內有多汁的龍蝦而豐富起來, 而伴碟的龍蝦肉爽並帶點檸檬清香, 一濃一清的配搭, 不會令整道菜太"漏".
主菜:
1) Angus Steak: 這是680元set的主菜, 入口即化的牛肉, 濃濃的牛味在口中久久不散, 其實這個680元的set都真的抵食~
2) 不知明豬: 不知明是因為不是我們order的, 是意大利靚仔廚師出來行過, 與我們傾談間知道我朋友生日, 之後突然送上的驚喜~ 這個不知明豬皮脆肉嫩, 由於味濃, 故伴以粟米糕吃一流~
甜品:
1) Panna Cotta: 我已經再想不到"好味"以外的形容詞, 香滑帶點Caramel 的味道.
2) Tiramisu: 非常軟滑的Tiramisu, 多謝waiter幫我加上Happy Birthday牌~~
服務方面, 實在無可挑剔了, 尤其是意大利經理, 談笑風生, 令我們過了一個愉快的晚上.
