去過灣仔的日熹樓一次,很喜歡精緻的小碟,介紹了不少朋友去。後來知道結業,心感可惜。發現這間日喜樓,日熹樓是前身,當然要來試試。在V Point地點方便了,燈光火猛,感覺完全不同。酸菜斑片聞起來幾香。跟傳統的酸菜魚不同,湯底很清,一點油也沒有,健康了,但不及傳統的香。大量酸菜,個人認為偏鹹。斑片卻好吃。肉有口感,不只有稔。精粹是魚皮,又膠又韌又黏。裡面還有不少薯粉,超煙韌,叫人咀嚼得過癮。爆汁生煎包生煎包超多汁,燙熱的汁。友人一啖咬下去,中招了,燙到嘴唇,痛了整頓飯。在他提醒後,我咬了一小口,嘗試把汁啜出來。汁多得輕輕一啜便有了,也是燙熱的,再吸大力一點應該會燙到舌頭。很多汁,吸了很久。生煎包的底夠脆,餡大,豬肉很滑又香。上海炒年糕年糕嚼勁十足,最重要是入味,沒有那死氣沉沉的米味。少少油,但炒得夠香。坐得舒適。午餐有任食的六小碟,下次再試。

銅鑼灣向來是個美食集中地,貴價、中價、平價的餐廳,應有盡有,不過由於太多選擇,所以每次在銅鑼灣想找東西吃時,都總是要絞盡腦汁!最近友人相約我來銅鑼灣一聚,提議去吃京川滬菜,本來還打算上網搜尋一下,估唔到原來好友已經有水心餐廳,話想試下 V Point 的「日喜樓」,既然友人早有準備,又不用我傷腦筋,我當然樂意奉陪。餐廳位於登龍街 18 號 V Point B1 樓,到埗後,先沿著扶手電梯往下走,店內地方非常闊落,用色和設計走西式 Café 路線,淺粉色木椅配木製檯面,加上餐廳盡頭設有一個小酒吧,裝潢優雅又富時代感,令人眼前一亮。餐廳設有房間包廂,另外用廳區亦擺放了多張大圓檯,適合家庭飯聚。安頓後先拿起店員送上的 ipad 餐牌細閱,食物分門別類,有涼菜、湯羹、廚師推介、家禽、小菜、蔬菜、主食、京點及甜品等,選擇甚豐,另收茗茶每位 $12。我哋揀咗兩款京點,火焰松子桂魚同一客干煸四季豆。先嚟兩款京點,有羅春閣爆汁生煎包 ($78) 同爆汁牛肉餡餅。生煎包以熱騰騰嘅生鐵鍋送上,包底煎得非常香脆,頂層嘅皮質感柔軟,入口有淡淡麵粉香。包子摺痕清晰分明,吃起來既濕潤又有嚼勁,加上內裡嘅肉餡不斷滴

火焰松子桂魚 ($288),這碟松子桂魚造型非常突出,上檯時熱辣辣,香噴噴,加上魚身炸至色澤金黃,面頭淋滿甜酸汁,賣相美觀。先嘗一口魚肉,魚皮咬落脆卜卜,而裡面魚肉仍嫩滑非常,火候控制得宜。糖醋汁用料十足,不但色澤艷麗,而且還伴入了不少菠蘿、番茄粒和洋蔥等,入口酸甜醒胃,令人食指大動。

食完香口嘅松子桂魚,壓尾當然要點番個菜嚟平衡一下,而今次就揀咗干煸四季豆 ($98)。四季豆色澤翠綠,煸得乾身香口,夠曬火喉,鑊氣十足,而且十分新鮮,咬下爽脆有豆香,加上惹味的肉碎,令人吃不停口。

今次雖然只係點咗幾款菜式,但整體質素唔錯,要特別一提,這裡的菜式全部不加味精,並堅持「少鹽、少糖、少油」的原則,能品嚐到食材的真味,食得健康。可惜這晚只係得兩個人,吃不到玲瓏百碟宴,希望下次可以約齊腳嚟試下。

Afternoon tea session has an afternoon tea menu only. Menu is in English and Chinese. During this time frame, there is no 10% service charge and no tea charge. The meal only costs $48 and you get  a soup or basic drink (with optional upgrade to something fancier), an appetizer and a main.

I decided to try out the soup as I've never had it before. This is the oily beancurd and vermicelli soup. I feared I might dislike it from what boyfriend described it as, but it was ok. Boyfriend said it'd be filled with oil but it wasn't. I guess it's changed to fit Hong Kong palates. There were tofu puffs and strands of vermicelli. The soup was savory with a bit of sour taste. Interesting but not horrible.

As there were two of us, we ordered both the appetizers available. This is the drunken chicken wing. It said one piece but it looked more than that. The meat was firm but it didn't soak up any of the wine. The wine sauce tasted quite good. Just the chicken wasn't marinaded long enough in the sauce.

The other was the marinaded cucumber. This was a decent size portion for an appetizer. The cucumbers were crunchy and had a refreshing taste with a bit of sesame oil.

We chose two mains to share. This is the codfish and salted duck egg puree fried rice. The rice was not too oily and was a decent size portion. There was hardly any fish in it though did find a lot. Not a lot of salted duck egg as well.

The other main is the pan fried juicy pork buns. These were delicious. Filled with juicy soup in it, the meat was moist as well. The bun wrapping was not too thick. I'd come back for this.

Pretty decent tasting food and for $48 a great deal in the middle of Causeway Bay. Not busy and cramped like other places so I'll be back!
