適逢生日+ 升職,朋友提議不如去半島食飯,於是簡左e間想試好耐餐廳。 位於半島酒店28樓Felix,提前一日訂位,店員幫我地安排左靠近窗口位置,維港夜景一覽無遺,第一次覺得原來香港咁靚。 因為餐點上太多款簡了,所以最後決定叫個二人set 唔洗煩。一直以為一般靚景餐廳,味道一定好一般,但e間餐廳卻令人有驚喜。無論係前菜定主菜,都令人眼前一亮。 最鍾意係佢個黑松露蟹肉青瓜卷同煎鵝肝,味道同外觀一樣,完全無令人失望。

Even though you may sit down at 17:30 for pre-prandial drinks, food can only be served from 18:00 onwards.  Particularly enjoyed the speedy service of the early dining menu if you have a show to catch.   New chef from Spain maintained the good standard of the kitchen,  my starter of buratina cheese with heirloom tomatoes were light and refreshing, the two oysters I asked to replace the dessert were both large and succulent, main course of sole was overcooked but the sauce came with clementine flavour that was novel and uplifting.  Petits fours came regardless of my aversion to dessert, I tried a few and they were reassuringly too sweet - for those who like dessert, eat to your hearts' content.  Accompanying wines were served in generous portions, though the charge per glass is still high.
Other Info. : Location is great for HKCC performance, but crossing the busy road can be a pain once you step outside the Peninsula. Service very attentive and accommodative. Lovely harbour view. Not cheap

While Hong Kong dining prices continue to skyrocket "Felix" at the Peninsula hotel is a luxury we are more willing to afford more often.We found the “early dining” option a good value-for-money and enjoyed a different vibe in the room (perhaps more chances to get one of the tables with a view to Victoria harbour?). Yes, we are now "confirmed" Felix’s enthusiasts. While Hong Kong dining prices continue to skyrocket "Felix" at the Peninsula hotel is a luxury we are more willing to afford more often.
We found the “early dining” option a good value-for-money and enjoyed a different vibe in the room (perhaps more chances to get one of the tables with a view to Victoria harbour?). We were lucky to enjoy the “Symphony of lights”, to which Felix’s subtle and suitable background music added also a different touch.
Memorable dishes:
— “Crispy King Crab Pillow, Egg Yolk, Caviar and Coral Air”
— “Pan-fried foie grass, glazed plums, balsamic and red wine loaf bread”.
These two dishes are an absolute pleasure for all senses; a balance of contrasts in taste, textures, colours, and forms…

Next visit: the newly announced Sunday Brunch! Cannot wait to try! The semi-buffet includes good vegetarian options like the “Impossible” burger! and a tempting bubbles section.

(好開胃/青新的味道,但我覺得burrata 不夠creamy)

main course :
lamb shoulder
(我不吃羊的不知道味道但賣相很好)
3 ways chicken
(poached chicken 是我最愛 ;grilled 的嫌雞肉味太濃,因我不是太好食肉,炸雞腿有點油,有點像酒樓點心似的但好好味)

Side:
Truffle fries
(是用上真的黑松露鋪在面 不是松露醬,但薯條放久了一會就林,不夠香口又不夠脆)
Mix grilled vegetable
(份量很多,夠兩個人食)

甜品
本來沒想吃甜品,但男友堅持,原來是預備了生日牌!

餐后還有complimentary 的甜點/朱古力和果汁


環境:今次沒有任何地方可挑剔 ,有海景有laser show,服務很好,live DJ 和bartender 都十分有型(女的)
之前來felix ,好幾次上層的bar 都落了blind , 今次終於開了。 慕名而來的人像我就是以philippe starck 藉口來看看飲杯cocktail ,但原來他們的食物都非常好 。

第五道菜分別有分別有羊肩或多寶魚,不過當日轉左做monkfish ,個人唔太喜歡羊肩的味道,肉質唔夠嫩滑,食落甜甜地應該係椰棗的味道,椰棗份量略為偏多,同羊併埋一齊食2樣味濃的食材加埋一齊,好像有點怪怪的,令整道菜式有點弄巧反拙的感覺。

總結呢到餐廳環境係靚嘅,氣氛都唔錯,唔係一D 好拘謹的餐廳,但如果想追求好好的food quality,呢到可能會有d 失望。
但係如果想體驗下呢到甘靚的環境,建議可以6-8pm 黎食返個early dinner 亦都係唔錯的選擇呢~
