環境寧靜,近商場透光天花的一排桌邊有羅馬簾,好有渡假feel. 假日午巿供應定食套餐,不過今天想吃蕎麥冷麵,所以選了主餐牌的大蝦天婦羅蕎麥麵,吸引之處是麵質濕潤新鮮兼有彈牙感,好明顯是自家製作,就算在日本當地也不是一般餐廳有這級數,而三只大蝦都極新鮮,可惜欠奉蝦頭,有點遺憾,否則更加完美。友伴㸃了雜錦壽司,共有八件,有大拖羅、中拖羅、鯛魚、海膽、海鰻等,全部都是高質新鮮,連餐飲的咖啡都沒有欺場,令人回味。

飯團燒得外脆內軟,外層是一層像鍋巴的脆脆,芝麻燒過後令鍋巴味道更香,內層的飯溫熱,能保持濕潤,顯出師傅功架。可怕飯團雖是醬燒,但醬油味不夠突出,木魚味倒是幽幽的漸出香味來。

燒粟米煮得剛好, 爽口不會乾, 粟米味濃郁而且十分鮮甜。 蒜片豬頸肉, 肉質較嫩, 吾乾吾un, 易咬。 但令我最喜出望外既係蒜片, 蒜味濃不用說, 但香脆得黎吾油, 好乾身, 似凍乾既水果片,就連一向吾鍾意蒜頭既我都好欣賞!

Despite not having made a reservation in advance for tatami-fitted semi-private seating by the window, staff gave us their trust when we promised to leave by 7:15 that evening if we were to be seated there. For those looking for a rather more private and comfortable experience, be sure to book one of those more spacious tables in advance.

Hong Kong's Gonpachi offers three main categories of food: skewers, sushi, and soba (cold and hot), all to a reasonably high standard at affordable prices. If hot Japanese food is not your thing, I'd highly recommend that you dine at one of the hundreds of sushi/ sashimi restaurants in the area, because cooked meat and barbequed skewers are their forte here.

Our dinner was a quick one (lasting barely half an hour!), but we managed to try quite a few dishes and thoroughly enjoyed the service, food, and experience. Here's the food rundown.

Service: Very attentive and professional. Sincere hospitality that really makes for an enjoyable experience.

Price: Great value for quality Japanese fare in Causeway Bay. Expect roughly $500 per head for dinner without drinks.

Drinks: A couple dozens of types of sake available, plus a good range of Japanese whiskies and cocktails.

兩款天婦羅分別是牡丹鱧安納芋,前者一向也是天婦羅的巧手食材,不但事前處理功夫繁複,切斷細刺界花,刀功一覽無遺,連炸的時候也要注意,鱧肉味道淡泊清爽,有種淡然雅緻的感覺,加上肉厚,每一口都是啖啖肉的。安納芋甜美而充滿蜜香,而且質地綿密,薄切香脆可口,厚切則有如雪糕般軟滑,小弟喜愛厚切會多一點。

最後以蒲燒鰻魚伴黑薩摩雞肉丼作結,一向也覺得這兒的鰻魚石鍋飯好吃,估不到配上照燒雞肉後,味道更為出眾,不消一會兒便吃清光。胃口已飽,真是好彩沒有加點店中名物蕎麥麵呢!
