幾個月之前的事了, 跟一位認識的朋友來進晚餐Jimmy's Kitchen是我一直想試, 但如果跟豬朋狗友就有點浪費是次找對了一進去, 環境黑暗, 每台都有燭光點綴佈局一如美倫老牌餐廳風格,相當浪漫醉人,點菜後來了一位server要我們從bread basket取一件,有些是有綠色的雙包餐包可能不熱的關係, 只是一般,點了fish & chip, 我挺期待,因為魚很大塊,粉亦厚,基本食了兩口就感到滯口Smoke Salmon Caesar 油份剛好而不油膩salad清爽, 好食, 叫了cocktail, 大部份$50-80在這地方環境場言而言, 非常合理服務亦理想當然非常好!總體而言, 很好!

甫一進餐廳,已感受到濃濃的英國氣息,裝修典雅。餐廳劃分了用餐區及吧枱位置。先講食物,侍應首先奉上一籃面包,每人可選兩款,我們選了香草包和提子合桃包,面包暖暖的,值得一提是提子合桃包帶有甘甜,是開胃的餐前包。前菜叫了三文魚凱撒沙津,三文魚份量沒有吝嗇,讚!兩個主菜要了RIB EYES和LAMB CHOP,每個MAIN COURSES可選兩個SIDE DISHES,我們選了忌廉菠菜,薯條,磨菇和薯蓉。忌廉菠菜的忌廉不會太多,份量恰到好處,不會有很水的感覺,不是很多餐廳可做到這點。RIB EYES MEDIUM RARE, 生熟程度剛好,烹調功夫到家能鎖緊肉汁,不會有乾的感覺。LAMB CHOP 7成熟,拿揑準確,可惜脂肪不均,沒有太多騷味甜品叫了火焰雪山及DAY OF SOFFLE (是日味道是STRAWBERRY):火焰雪山造型與坊間一般的有別, 橙酒味只是開始比較濃烈,但並不能持之以恆。STRAWBERRY SOFFLE略嫌太甜其實想試這間餐廳很久,若不是抱著吃傳統英菜來這裡,會有一定驚喜,服務態度好,但上菜速度有待改進。值得重臨~~

兩個主菜要了RIB EYES和LAMB CHOP,每個MAIN COURSES可選兩個SIDE DISHES,我們選了忌廉菠菜,薯條,磨菇和薯蓉。忌廉菠菜的忌廉不會太多,份量恰到好處,不會有很水的感覺,不是很多餐廳可做到這點。

RIB EYES MEDIUM RARE, 生熟程度剛好,烹調功夫到家能鎖緊肉汁,不會有乾的感覺。
LAMB CHOP 7成熟,拿揑準確,可惜脂肪不均,沒有太多騷味

甜品叫了火焰雪山及DAY OF SOFFLE (是日味道是STRAWBERRY):
火焰雪山造型與坊間一般的有別, 橙酒味只是開始比較濃烈,但並不能持之以恆。
STRAWBERRY SOFFLE略嫌太甜

其實想試這間餐廳很久,若不是抱著吃傳統英菜來這裡,會有一定驚喜,服務態度好,但上菜速度有待改進。值得重臨~~

一行五人想找一家可以坐久一點的餐廳食晚飯,餐廳內部很有情調,裝修是以木色為主,燈光淡黃較暗,牆上放著掛畫。整個氣氛令人感到很放鬆,好像去了外國一樣。店內畫分了杯吧區和用餐區,十分細心。我們選了fish & chips、焗豬手、chicken a la king同埋cesar salad。上菜之前先來一點麵包,當晚的麵包籃內有三種選擇,wheat raisin and walnut雖乾身但不會太硬,是我的至愛,另外還有一款香草包的和一款三色蕃茄包。三色的我吃不出蕃茄味,似是好味版的排包emotion(下圖),略帶甜味,很鬆軟。fish and chips - 差不多180元的價錢,換來的是一碟有 三塊炸魚和一盤薯條的食物,雖然份量不算大,但勝在味道搭夠,我覺得薯條比魚出色,薯條新鮮熱辣!!外面香脆、帶有鹽味卻不會太咸,內裡很滑,像薯蓉一樣,很香的薯仔味!!!配上有一點酸的沙律醬,真係好好味~~另外配有一個綠色的醬,是豆味的,蠻特別的,但我不太好豆,所以感覺不太大。魚方面,我很欣賞它的檸檬是用一層紗布質地的東西包住,方便隔渣,很細心。味道方面,外面尚算脆口,炸粉很薄,但魚身有一點鞋,但以炸

再來的是chicken a la king,上菜的時候有點驚喜,因先前大家都沒有預料過它會有點像白汁雞皇飯。汁做的出色,很香很滑,濃度適中,吃後不會有膩的感覺。雞雖然不滑,但不會過火/太老。

最後到大家一致讚好的焗豬手,很大的一碟,連骨頭一起上菜,絕無偷工減料。 平時吃的豬手通常會過咸,但這店的不會,反而是一種咸香的感覺,令人想一吃再吃,最值得讚的是它的皮焗得很脆,很有口感,加上那豬手本身的咸香味,實在是值得一讚。

唯一要彈的是店員有點歧視我們這一群不是珠光寶氣的年輕人,對待我們這一枱和其他老外是完全不同的態度。

先說麵包:這裡的麵包有多款選擇,而且似乎是無限量供應的,整個用餐過程多次來詢問是否要添加,自己也可以隨時要,很慷慨。我最喜歡wheat raisin and walnut,雖然不熱,但也鬆軟,raisin和walnut一個加點甜味,一個增加乾果香味。

湯:當天轉了忌廉湯,湯底rich and creamy,裏面的材料就清爽很多,番茄、紅椒清新可口,蝦肉爽甜。還好湯杯不算大,不然一杯濃湯下肚已經飽了一半。

主菜:占美乾咖哩雞 Jimmy’s Chicken Madras,真的非常之美味,可以說是我吃過的最好吃的咖喱雞。
很愛吃咖喱,我通常首選羊,其次是牛,甚少選咖喱雞,總感覺雞肉太過文雅,和濃郁的咖喱一起不夠豪放。此外,無論港式還是印巴式,通常都是濕咖喱,這次是亁身的,幾特別,很期待。因爲是乾的,咖喱醬比較密實,味道濃郁(但不辣),和雞肉,青豆,甘筍一起,很香很惹味。雞肉本身非常滑嫩,甚至滑嫩到讓我有些吃驚。雖然咖喱味濃,但雞肉本身的清淡香氣未被搶走,還是能吃到雞的鮮味。這曲咖喱和雞的協奏真是一場味覺的美妙盛宴,兩者貌似味道上相距甚遠,卻搭配得異常合拍,相互襯托,確是難得的美味。一旁的咖喱醬應該是配飯的,和咖喱雞的咖喱比起來就淡很多了,飯比較少,男生可能不夠吃,那就encore麵包吧!

占美傳統麵包布甸 Jimmy’s Traditional Bread & Butter Pudding, served with vanilla custard
很厚實的傳統英式甜品,layering slices處理得不錯,可以順著切開一層層吃。抱歉,食藝不精,不確定他們是不是用stale bread;pudding和vanilla custard非常香濃飽滿,egg,milk,butter的味道都很足,比較甜,也算在可以接受的範圍内;raisin很少,當然啦,本來就是點綴之物,只是我喜歡吃所以希望它多一點。平時較少吃甜品,傳統英式的就更少,這個真是很滿足了。

大飽口福之後,以一杯咖啡(可選茶)做結。感覺這裡的咖啡味道都幾好,至少合我口味。不太苦,很容易上口,最重要不酸,我不加奶和糖都Okay。對於咖啡我不是專家,雖然自己都會煮,所以是否真的品質上乘有待專家品鑒了。

除了食物讓人甚爲滿足,服務和環境也非常不錯,staff都很友善且主動,環境舒適,座位比較寬敞,一直播放著悠揚的Jazz,氛圍輕鬆愜意,不過不喜歡的朋友就會覺得annoying了!

看著隔板玻璃上logo "since 1928“的字樣,真希望他們能把這份歷史和美味一直傳承下去。

頭盤選了最多花款的 Tasting Plate, 出來的效果拍起照來也不錯的。豬肉絲放在一片多士上,可能是我留到最後才吃可能因此多士變軟了,肉絲有點乾。鵝肝蘋果醬的味道就豐富得多了,foie gras torchon 是用鵝肝和其他材料混合(這個裡面應是一些黑椒和香料)捲成卷狀再冷凍切片的肉凍,薄薄一片上置蘋果醬和一小棵芫茜。食味比起淨鵝肝醬清新而又不失豐腴。最下面那件豬肝醬配英式酸瓜則無論樣子和味道都像極了某品牌的午餐肉!伴碟的那些咖喱(?)椰菜花還好吃一點。

三款主菜中,我不吃牛所以只需在 Smoked Haddock Fishcake 和咖喱雞之間選擇。雖然前者看來不錯,卻聽說這裡的咖喱有名,而且既然吃英國菜又怎可以不吃咖喱?(別笑,英國人口中有很多印裔人士,印度菜在當地非常流行,變成了英國菜的代表之一!)

這個 Jimmy's Chicken Madras 是用「碟頭飯」的形式呈現,乾咖喱雞是另用小盤子盛著的。

近年愛吃乾咖喱多過一大灘汁的濕咖喱,炒香的咖喱醬香料很乾爽,均勻地包裹著每件雞肉和配菜,如西蘭花和椰菜花等,令每一口都有著咖喱的辛香(放心,不很辣的),感覺卻不油膩。不過咖喱還有少許的油份可供伴飯吃,另有小兜的 gravy/淡咖喱汁的。只可惜飯的份量不多,不足以用來蘸所有的咖喱汁吃。

至於甜品呢,餐牌上明明有麵包布甸的,我卻「鬼揞眼」看不到,於是點了個鹹版的 - Welsh Rarebit。所以嚴格來說我這並不是「甜」品囉。
Welsh Rarebit 這威爾斯名食的由來眾說紛紜,大家即管谷歌/維基一下就會找到。

可此威爾斯兔子(Rarebit 有說是 rabbit 的異體字)真佻皮,久候多時終於來了。是兩片小麵包鋪上芝士和芥末烤成多士,熱烘烘的芝士帶著少許芥末的辛辣,麵包香脆,好吃。

唯一有點小瑕疵的是服務方面,老一輩的叔叔們是很老練的,也許是我溝通有誤以至餐茶一早來了,後生那些的表現也滿意;但買單那位哥哥一下茶記式「飛單」在桌上就真的令我窒了一窒。

首先有 Jumbo Crab Meat and Avocado Cocktail, 初時拿上來確得份量唔太多...但食下食下又覺得其實唔算細杯. 個sauce 同d 蟹肉好夾, 本身想encore 多一杯, 但要留肚食其他野...

湯方面要左 Lobster Bisque 同埋 Ox-Tail and Barley.
- Lobster Bisque: 之前睇其他食評都話好好飲. 味道的確唔錯, 某程度上覺得幾開胃.
- Ox-Tail and Barley: 味道濃郁, 易入口, 各方面都好balance. 我個人鐘意呢個多過lobster bisque

係湯到搞完一輪就到main course 啦...記憶中叫左 Jimmy's Fish and Chips, Seven Pepper New York Cut Sirloin
- Jimmy's Fish and Chips: 份量好大, 夠晒二至三人share 去食...魚既質地好滑, 唔會炸到油淋淋, 正!
- Seven Pepper New York Cut Sirloin: 用左7種唔同既pepper 去整既, 本身expect 佢會好spicy, 但食落口又唔算太spicy, 好好食..由於同行友人怕生, 所以都叫左medium well, 下次可能叫medium 個效果會更加好

main course 完埋就梗係 dessert 啦...
有 Knickerbocker Glory, Traditional Bread and Butter Pudding
- Knickerbocker Glory: 如上一個食評所講....其實係面有d cream, 中間係chocolate ice-cream, 之後再落有d 好細舊既蛋糕, 再raspberry sauce, 最底就chocolate sauce. 其實杯野本唔唔大杯, 不過就好高身, 真係食一杯都夠晒飽

首先有 Jumbo Crab Meat and Avocado Cocktail, Caesar Salad, Crispy Bacon and Spinach Salad.
- Crab cocktail: 好好食, 蟹味好重.
- Crispy Bacon and Spinach Salad: Spinach 好新鮮, 同埋個sauce 好好味

食完salad, 就到飲湯既時間啦, 有 Lobster Bisque, Ox-Tail and Barley, Jimmy's French Onion Soup.
- Lobster Bisque: 之前睇其他食評都話好好飲, 今日一試, 果然非同凡響. 味道濃郁.
- Ox-Tail and Barley: 如果同lobster bisque 比, 牛尾湯我會將佢排第二, 不過一樣好好食, 用呢個湯加去意粉食一定好正
- Jimmy's French Onion Soup: 有塊芝士係面, 有少少heavy, 不過如果同人share 就唔錯啦

係湯到搞完一輪就到main course 啦...記憶中叫左 Jimmy's Fish and Chips, Seven Pepper New York Cut Sirloin, Rid-eye, 豬手, Prawn Spaghetti
- Jimmy's Fish and Chips: 個魚好滑, 配埋個沙律醬食一流
- Seven Pepper New York Cut Sirloin: 用左7種唔同既pepper 去整既, 本身expect 佢會好spicy, 但食落口又唔算太spicy, 不過好好食
- Rid-eye: 照睇番應該叫左medium-well, 如果下次叫medium 應該會更加好. 外脆內軟, 肉質較"林" . 唔錯
- 豬手: 隻豬手好大隻, 個皮燒到好脆, 正!
- Prawn Spaghetti: 一隻好大既蝦, 初步估係tiger prawn. 意粉用tomato sauce 再加唔同既海鮮. 好好食!

main course 完埋就梗係 dessert 啦...
有 Knickerbocker Glory, Traditional Bread and Butter Pudding
- Knickerbocker Glory: 中文叫做"懷舊雪糕杯"(係咁上下啦)... 其實係面有d cream, 中間係chocolate ice-cream, 之後再落有d 好細舊既蛋糕, 再raspberry sauce, 最底就chocolate sauce. 其實杯野本唔唔大杯, 不過就好高身, 食一杯都夠晒飽

- Traditional Bread and Butter Pudding: 個bread pudding 好好食, 同平時d hotel buffet 供應個d 差好遠! 其實想再encore 呢個, 不過已經好飽.

尖咀食完晚飯,想坐下飲下野傾下計,Jimmy's Kitchen係一個幾好嘅選擇。佢地有個酒吧區,飲野嘅地方同食飯嘅地方分開坐,環境好有情調。坐位都設計得幾好,雖然係高檯,不過其實椅下有級,唔會釣腳,好坐。一張檯可以坐3-5人,角落位夠清靜,吧台位可以睇波,男男女女傾計都方便。而且成日有promotion,計落係一個幾平嘅尖咀飲野地方。

每次來到亞士厘道這個位置都會令我想起【孤男寡女】!哈哈!這個 À la carte 的 Steamed Treacle Sponge Pudding (a British classic) 是全餐的 Highlight,熱辣辣滲滿 Custard 與 Maple Syrup 的軟熟海綿,簡直時光倒流回到 Boarding School 的大食日!很地道的英式甜品!HK$138+10% 的 Lunch Set 可以選擇頭盆與主菜兩個 Courses,另外還有 HK$88+10% 的 Set 有 Soup of the day 加三文治不過千萬千萬不要點這個很難吃的豬扒血濃於【酒】的香氏姊妹妹當然少不了 Cocktails 作開場白啦!還有媽媽的 Green Apple MartiniClassic 的服務與裝修,地方舒適,氣氛輕鬆,食物有水準,媽媽與妹妹都讚口不絕!啱晒我哋啲上咗年紀嘅英國留學老餅懷舊呀!哈哈!

We went there from time to time because the food was good and the service was wonderful. However, we notice that the quality of setrvice is declining. Example 1 : In old days, the staff with the bread basket always walked around and served the customers with their choice of bread while waiting for the staters. Example 1 : In old days, the staff with the bread basket always walked around and served the customers with their choice of bread while waiting for the staters. On last occasion, 10 mins after we placed our orders, we were not provided with bread. We then made a request for bread. However, we were only provided with bread once after our repeated request and when we almost finished our starters.
Since there was no pickled onion on the table, we then requested for some when we subsequently had our bread. The waiter, while holding one bowl of pickled onion, told us to wait and then left the bowl of pickled onion on the table next to us where the customers have just left.

Example 2 : In old days, the staff will provide us with water without request. On last occasion, we were only provided with water upon repeated request and when we almost finished our bottle of wine.

The above might be casued due to the in-experienced of the junior staff and the "cost-control policy" of the restaurant since the water and the bread were free.

As a whole, we prefer the old days of Jimmy's Kitchen.

I had Beef Steak,ox tailcrab salad andtriffle as dessert!the beef Steak was really good 14 oz costs less than $400, the steak was so fresh and with strong beef taste.the ox tail was so tender. the portion is huge.actually i think 2 ladies can will be full to share 1 portion of starter + 1 portion of main course + 1 dessertthe triffle was nice, the cream was fresh and smooth with nice smell.not bad!i will come back again.

the portion is huge.

三個人三個main,意粉,雞同埋DA扒。意粉係魚闊麵,魚用上好貨色,加埋個醬夠哂開胃,意粉食落煙煙韌韌,很不錯。雞,乾了點,食落無咩汁,不算太特別。DA扒,配上牛油,烤味幾香,帶點肥,食落幾多肉汁下,牛味幾強,少食DA扒,唔太識,繼續周圍食,試下唔同既扒。

French Onion Soup ($78) --> keep到水準, 必試, d cheese份量剛剛好, d麵包亦唔soggy, 唔匯食落一pat pat...
New York Stroiploin 14oz ($388) --> 個menu寫話係dry-aged..... 但係我淨係覺得佢望落同食落都好dry.... 肉質唔覺幼嫩, 肉味亦唔覺濃郁香醇, 跟外國正宗的還有好一段距離.....
Friees + Portabello Mushroom Side Dishes --> Fries 冇o羊特別..... 個portabello都唔係好明點解切到碎晒甘serve.... portabello唔係原塊一大片上好味d o羊???? 碎碎甘同用普通mushroom有o羊分別哩?

Mised Seafood Grill ($278) --> 有Salmon, Scallops, Prawn (1隻), Garoupa, Sole 等..... 樣樣都grill到好dry..... 唔juicy..... 好彩d scallops冇grill過籠...........
Chocoalte Truffle Tart ($84) --> 好chocolate..... 好似舊chocolate磚甘........ 作為甜品既佢實在太rich.. 太filling.........
Anyways.... the service here is actually pretty good... everyone's friendly... and would 講解同recommend d steak應該點煮....
我同男友食到大約9點...... and the place was packed then..... and was actually quite noisy......
如果你問我會唔會再黎, 我想可能要幾年後先會再考慮.... 因為除左個onion soup 外, 其他dishes我都唔覺得好出色.... 其他餐廳亦有較好既options......
